Lightspeed (LSPD). Went into it because a buddy of mine did and he had some really good returns. Man, did that thing turn around quick. I'm down 86%. I sold all but 1 share of it. 1) As a reminder to do my own DD and don't blindly listen to others and 2) In memory of my buddy. He passed in a tragic accident coming home from a hockey game. Miss you Mike.
LSPD. Had doubled my money on it but it got hit with a seemingly baseless short report that annihilated it. The company didn't seem to very much to publicly defend themselves, and then the big tech sell-off happened late 2021 and it never recovered. Still holding 240 shares at 80% loss lol.
The sad part is that we are at almost all time highs and more than half of my holdings are -70%+ down BIGC,SPCE,RNG,VMEO,LSPD
LSPD all eyes on management

hope for TSLA to tank. Unfortunately can't do shit tomorrow because the short side of my NBIS bull call spread exp Friday is still outstanding (60C). Which means 60x100x3.72 borrow rate = $22,320 margin requirement leaving 0 buying power. Sold my 47 call for a small profit today. Hope I don't get cooked. I think I'm a little over these strategies. Just buy naked calls is the way. I do want to buy CELH calls, few more more VNET calls, and maybe LSPD (crushed earnings, barely missed revenue but growing revenue, and they announced they will repurchase the max allowable 10% of the public float). Probably will close my $60 NBIS short call at a 50% profit even though it probably can be a 100% profit if I let it ride.
By this table, LSPD's market cap should probably be double what it currently is.
LSPD.TO My boss said this made him rich, my dumbass held during its rise above 100’s then it felt into the depths of hell. Bagged the 5k loss for two years and decided to cut my losses. Thankfully he’s not longer my boss.
Them fire sale calls yesterday right before close for $LSPD printed
Ever heard of Amazon ? Obviously not a perfect example but both companies spending ~10% of revenue on R&D LSPD was also a serial acquirer for a few years spending almost $2B since just 2020
As bullish as I am on BTC, I don’t see that adding much value as lost BTC transactions P2B happen in developing nations like Africa where LSPD doesn’t operate
Disclaimer: I do own a small position of shares in $LSPD from long ago @ ~$30
Haha I tried that with LSPD. Still bag holding 12 shares.
LSPD Growing revenue and getting closer to profitability $1B ttm rev, only $3B market cap.. it’s a point of sales and SaS business.. relatively undervalued vs its peers and no where close to its high
Same behavior with LSPD as well, odd
Close Rivian and LSPD. Go ETF. Increase your position for NViDIa and PLTr. To me I will include AC to sell but maybe it will rebound a little bit because of the interest rate went down in CAnada

I had a similar thing happen to me... I figured post here since I'm starting to do Iron Condor option trades using my TD Ameritrade account which is now owned by Schwab. I'm starting to get suspicious of what Schwab marks as "margin sell out" orders on my account. At first I was alarmed because I had a short 180 strike put expiring on February 16th. Schwab put in a sell order for $0.01 just prior to close even though Apple hit a minimum of $181.67 on that day. So this one I just wrote off as silliness because it was small... Fast forward to just this past weekend, I had a 12/13/14/15 Iron Condor for LSPD stock. Since the stock was showing support at 13, I figured hold onto it until close because of the low liquidity on the 13 put (bid 0.05, ask 0.15 morning time the day before close). It dribbled just below 13 down to 12.8 at close. When Schwab put in the "margin sell out" order at 3:55PM, LSPD was at 12.84 and the resulting trade was as follows 12 Put STC @ +0.03 13 Put BTC @ -0.73 14 Call BTC @ -0.33 15 Call STC @ +0.03 I understand the logic of Schwab "protecting" themselves, but I can't imagine even the dumbest retail trader executing such a trade right at close. Why would you need to do a margin sell out for BOTH a short 13 put AND a long 14 put? At the very least the 14 call should have been left to expire with it being so far OTM. And so what if by some dark coincidence LSPD happened to swing below the protection level of 12? Worst case in such a dark scenario I would have had to sell LSPD at a big loss and had a cash liability on my account which is limited by the fact that it couldn't go below zero. If I were allowed to let it expire, my cost would be 0.20 per share. Instead there is an ironic coincidence that Schwab executed the trade to use the entire 1.0 margin based on the put/call spread of 1 per share. It really smells to me that Schwab are overusing margin sell out trades as a way to expand their profits by forcing higher trade volumes and higher profits for market makers (who are also from Schwab). Of course in the future I've learned the hard way not to trust Schwab to handle trade closeouts. I'll for sure put in closeout orders several hours before market close to prevent this from happening. Regardless, I can now see why many retail traders have trouble making money, especially when the companies holding their accounts are working against them!
Yeah. You have to define a winner though. My LSPD was a meme stock not a real winner. In short, keep your strong holdings for long term. Take profit on gambling picks.
I kept my winner LSPD and look where I am. I left my winner NVDA and look where I am. It goes either way.
Let’s Push LSPD.TO to 160 per share
LSPD. Down pretty much 99% on this. Hate my life as I listened to my friend at the time and dumped a good amount of money in. Will never forgive that friend ever again.
Looks similar $LSPD today. Wtf happened
Worse, been bagholding LSPD and CRSR for a long time. Gets close to break even then shits the bed
LSPD beat top and bottom, raised guide... down 3%. Makes perfect sense
It used to be coined LSPD POS because it’s a point of sale company mostly… I’m sure you can imagine what most people were calling it as it fell from $160 down to $17😂
LSPD Chart has been pretty predictable, climbing from 17-18 up to mid 20s and back down. But it’s honestly a great long term. It’s a fast growing company valued like it’s about to fall apart, but they’ve been consistently doing well and getting closer to profitability..
So what’s this LSPD play someone shilled yesterday?
Idk how it could get any more free money... LSPD every single day for the last like week or two has dipped at 9:30 then immediately rode up a percent or so. Of course I miss it every morning, but it looks like free money
My impression, was that the management wasn't confrontational or skimping on employee tools to do the job, and did accommodate her requests for time off when she reached breaking points, but were bad at recognizing how much the management is pushing some of their multi-lingual staff in their support departments. To LSPD's credit, though, they gave her nominal shares of stock in the company while she was employed, and did offer her a decent separation package when she left.
A friend of mine just left that company, due to burnout. So, LSPD is probably growing pretty fast, and not hiring enough. Bullish.
$LSPD light speed Canadian company that’s growing rev. Has $780mil net cash revenue expected to double in 4 years Long term buy for me price target $35-$40 Positive FCF You many not be familiar with light speed but if you know $tost toast a pos solution for restaurants hospitality etc.

CNHI - Farming is never going away and currently trading cheap LSPD - in a far better spot than pre pandemic and trading below pandemic levels
Roku, Docu, Shop, LSPD, Hut, ETH.
LSPD POS company that focuses on small/ medium sized stores and golf courses. Prices are competitive and they were growing at an insane pace before covid. Still growing 30%+ and moving towards profitability, trading around book value. Profitable competition is trading 3-10x LSPD
Keep these: MRNA (Moderna) LSPD (Lightspeed POS) LAC (Lithium Amers Corp) META (Meta / Facebook) BYND (Beyond Meat). You did not specify how much % you are under water. Only judge quality of the stocks.
I'm at an all time high as of the last couple months. My portfolio is highly concentrated but I caught some nice recoveries like AMD, TSLA, SPOT, SHOP. Never recovered on names like LSPD, LMND.
All in LSPD with $14,700 and 644 shares @ $22.70!
1. Both Shopify and Lightspeed have their pros and cons. 2. Shopify is nearing profitability, indicating positive financial performance, but its high price might be a deterrent for some investors. 3. Lightspeed is currently experiencing losses, suggesting potential financial risks, but its relatively lower price compared to Shopify might make it more attractive to value-oriented investors. 4. Both stocks have been affected by the general trend of AI-fueled tech stock rally, which indicates a **broader market interest in technology companies leveraging AI.** 5. The current rally in tech stocks may be driven by a combination of market sentiment, investor optimism about the growth potential of AI technology, and positive industry trends. 6. While the rally might not solely be based on fundamentals, it could still be supported by factors such as increased adoption of AI, technological advancements, and market demand for innovative solutions. 7. It is important to carefully evaluate the fundamentals, growth prospects, and competitive positioning of both Shopify and Lightspeed to make informed investment decisions. 8. Considering the potential risks and uncertainties in the market, it might be prudent to **wait for a favorable buying opportunity**, such as a dip in stock prices, before investing in either SHOP or LSPD.
Why are the two in the same sentence? LSPD is totally different side in tech than what SHOP is trying to do. LSPD can be contested easier than SHOP. But no point in buying at these valuations like you said.
Love LSPD, personally I don’t think profitability is an issue longterm old ceo was just acquiring to many unprofitable businesses and ignoring their core. Once profitability scares are gone this stock will be trading 5x book easily imo
Where is this from? While I can't pound the table for LSPD, I took a position on the thesis of a big recovery when it shifts from loss to profit, assuming that trajectory continues. I no longer need to seek perfect companies, just tickers that will sell later for a good amount more than what they cost today. There can be a step function gain when something goes from utterly despised to just "disliked", so that's the thesis for me. I wish they didn't do that $900 million guide. It's equally possible they could make or miss it through no fault of their own whatsoever. Like economic effects might make them miss by an inch. And if that happens, shareholders will get smoked. They took heavy criticism in a short attack. And substantial time has passed in which the short attack predictions/allegations have not entirely been borne out. When a larger share of investors notice that, plus the start of some profitable quarters, LSPD could take a leap. The challenge I have is I'm not sure what a good exit PT should be.
INTC, CPNG, AC, AMZN, DIS and LSPD so yeah.. basically them all.
Admittedly I don't know much about software businesses, but $LSPD has been sliding for over 2 years now with no clear signs of stopping
As someone who lost a good amount in FIT, LSPD and numerous other stocks. I’m doing fine. I stopped with the stock bs. Bought land , and I’m trying to re-zone my current property. Focus on my kids and wife and just keep moving slowly forward.
Anybody holding LSPD? I’ve been in for over 4 years…255 @ $35 but I am losing confidence they can make recover :/
That flair is outdated. I'm bagholding LSPD now.
Hi any one can see this post ? I just joined holding to bring LSPD back to life
I can recall dumping a bunch of this when a short report hit. The company's response wasn't really detailed. And further, they boldly declared that after their vague rebuttal, they were refusing to make any further comment. My logic was that if you do have a good story to tell, that's not how you act. Thankfully I dodged a lot of the 90% decline. I think the cap is down from $20 billion to $2 billion, which may be more reasonable. I actually look for things that are so bombed out they have bounce potential, even if they're poorly run or not great long term holds. You show them with a massive $815 million loss, explained away by $650 million good will impairment charge (ouch) and $5 million operating loss. So what accounts for the other $60 million? On the con side, 2022 was a year of re-opening and retail foot traffic and golf expansion, yet they didn't exactly have explosive growth given those factors. There's still lots of competition. And it's unclear how they will achieve growth without doing some of the things that detractors accuse them of (buying fake growth, wasting money on expensive CAC, ill-advised acquisitions) On the pro side, there IS a formula for stocks/companies like this to wriggle out from their presumed demise and thrive. However that formula involves major pivots in which they abandon pipe dream growth emphasis and show they can immediately break even and make a profit. This is a market that will reward that. They'll wait for growth if the core business can turn a buck. But if it can't, there's no mercy. Relevant to LSPD, if they really are losing just $5 million on $188 million, some judicious cost control and executive discipline plus maintaining their current mixed growth profile could deliver the "now profitable" headline they need. Are their executives ones who can eat crow and make that pivot? The last question is for you. Why this over anything else? Like I say, why should I put speculative dollars here versus, say, PYPL or SOFI. PAYPAL is similarly bombed out but hasn't bounced yet, and they gave a bona fide hit with Venmo. SOFI has been wrecked but isn't going away and has a credible claim of being worth at least $10, which is a 50% ride from here. What catalysts and PTs and timelines do you foresee for your LSPD investment?
I guess recession fears are over. LSPD ER had 800 mill loss(700 mill goodwill write down) against 188 mill rev...green premarket. Michael Burry tweeted "Sell" earlier this week
I have your classic dumb young new investor portfolio: down like 65% on a bunch of Cathie Wood tech firms (LSPD, PLTR, etc.) and speculative shit (psilocybin stocks mostly), only partly saved by investing in a gold stock my dad told me to hedge with and by my one good call (Air Canada). Down like 30% overall.
I bought BB.TO @ $30. And LSPD at $300. The least y’all could have dome was give me a WSB avatar LOL
Ayoo I took a -200% L on LSPD. Reddit I have had enough Ls this year to not get a WSB avatar :(

Let's see what happens when POW POW announces 0.75 interest rate hike. Will market pop or flop? Pop today and flop for rest of the week? I sold my positions in LSPD and SHOP(bought both this morning) for some gain. It will be interesting when people's mortgages come up for renewal and the effect on the economy.
