PRTA. Having a bad week, but will go up again.
Dump it into PRTA and sell calls. Premiums are juicy
Also PRTA, bouncing off a downtrend, should expect some upward movement as top line results come out EOY.
PRTA Jan 2019 calls. Gonna print bigly.
Wait until PRTA announces their results. Or buy calls now 🫡
PRTA down 20% on....no news? Hmmmm
Anyone here get want to get into a classic WSB biotech play? Prothena (PRTA): Top line results of Alzheimer's treatment studies expected EOY. Stock is at a low and should pop on the news.
Dude, it’s a biotech stock that’s drawn down 80%. If Sava had any tangible promise in this space, it would be at $60. The company will have its trials end in 2026, but could run out of cash before then. They’re also not treating Alz, just detecting it. There are far better names in the Alz space. PRTA is the best one imo as they target the same pathway as BIIB (only approval) and LLY, who will get FDA approval for Dona soon. PRTA’s data says the drug is 12x better, has far less ARIA risk, and is SubQ. Of course, they’re in a Ph 1, so the outlook can change quickly. But, I like the risk-reward.
Sava is the most useless Alz stock and a bunch of frauds. LLY has their ph3 data out in July 16-20 and will be approved. Dona probably do better than BIIB’s Leqembi in actual sales. PRTA and ABOS are companies targeting the same amyloid Beta pathway and could have more promise.
BIIB is gonna get their Alz drug Leqembi approved on the 6th. But, best Alz play is PRTA. Their drug is 12x better than Leqembi and LLY’s Dona.
I’m short FREY and PRTA and absolutely destroyed. Why have they not dumped??
Omg, did I hurt your feelings? Bagholder angwy? :( And brother, ATV, PEPG, ABOS, PRTA, SOBR, a lot more in the past few days, but sure, throw your money into APRN and continue to "HODL" to $10 or whatever lmao. And lmfao, hope your advice works for you as much as mine works for me. I don't gotta hold any bags waiting for a turnaround or some "squeeze". I make my money and get out. Easy peeeeeeezy, kid.
All in FREY AND PRTA shorts. Am I fuk?
ANYONE WATCHING PRTA??? Do I short that shit? Or run away train??
I wouldn’t view as holding on to the stock as a way of supporting the companies - the amount you hold is trivial and will have no impact to the stock price if you sell. In terms of management teams being professional and passionate, most are just looking out for their economic interests. BBIO: Essentially a west coast version of Roivant now. Management looks for me-too drugs to follow behind a recently established mechanism to try cashing in on its potential. The company’s most important and valuable drug (acquired from Eidos - originally a separate IPO management cashed in on) just horrifically failed a Phase 3 trial, which is why it fell so much in December. This company is a great example of the business model in biotech and is probably dead money. Some will try to speculate on the rest of the pipeline. OCUL: There was an opportunity to cash out at $20 a year ago. This company has been working on sustained release eye conditions and has seen a long, painful process. Hope they can actually get more clinical success in wet AMD, glaucoma, etc. Out of the 3 companies you listed, this probably has the highest potential to rebound. PRTA: This one has a weak pipeline and Alzheimer’s likely won’t look good. While it shot up on hype, it’s on its way down.
I feel like the argument against that is that information didn't travel as fast back then as it does now. Hence many companies have better ways to obtain funding and do marketing more efficiently to other companies or even smaller businesses. There will certainly be some companies that go bankrupt like RIDE WKHS HYLN, but I think start ups like ARVL GOEV and PRTA might have a better chance. It's a different time, whether people want to believe that or not.
I really like PRTA. Glad to see it on here
Meanwhile the largest EV bus manufacturer in the US has a market cap of less than 3 billion and has been delivering buses, batteries, and power trains for a decade. I'm not investing in any EV other than PRTA until that's not the case
Prothena Biotech (PRTA) sitting pretty to make some UPSIDE (around 30% it looks like!)

Bröthers. In going into the week w TSLA, TQQQ, SPY, X, PRTA and CLF. Make Monday Now Again!
PRTA and STEM gang checking in Don’t sleep on Volta either, provision to build out EV charging network
CLF & PRTA The majority of the Green & EV shit is in the next bill, but Proterra will benefit from this one and CLF will benefit because EVERYTHING IS MADE OF FUCKING STEEL!!!!!!!!111
PTRA goes up, when my PRTA goes down:(
1. SUNL (on NYSE fail to deliver list for past week, T+4) 2.PRTA
Very heated that I bought PRTA garbage over CEI
You bought the wrong one! $PRTA has flown
The only biotech investment firm invested is Ikarian ( in call options), and that may be to hedge a short. https://whalewisdom.com/stock/ptie . In general, I'd stay away from any biotech if biotech investment firms aren't interested. Ecor1's Alzheimer's positions are PRTA and ALEC
Hopefully some PTRA investors did a typo n bought PRTA a few months ago.
>PRTA If only PTRA had the same YTD performance as PRTA.
$PRTA and $BKSY are my plays for tomorrow. The witches are out and its time to burn some shorts.
Buy PRTA, FUBO, CLF, DDOG, and AMD. This is 100% financial advice
PTRA this PTRA that, but have you guys looked at PRTA? shit literally just goes up
PRTA. I’m down over 50%. I look forward to the day I can sell it off.
Wow, lot of haters here who pretend to be Alzheimer's experts. PRTA and ALEC have better chance to succeed, but somehow SAVA got the meme boost
It is sad but it just follow price action of similar companies like PRTA, ZEV and NKLA. Still holding mid-long term and adding more when it drops
Feel you. Only holding depacs atm (MVST, PRTA, AVPT, INDI and a small portion of VIEW), dumped some aswell and cut losses ( gik, payo and some others). Hope the sentiment turns around soon as it’s been months of losses for me as well
PRTA isn’t a comp because it makes busses, not charging platforms, but you’re right on the EVGO comp. You can also add CHPT, BLNK, RMO, ENS, BEEM, ABB, AVAV, and DPW as major stake-holders in the over-saturated, but still not profitable, EV Charging sector. That’s a lot of raised hands for a market that doesn’t exist yet and doesn’t have forecasts for profitability until around 2035 or so. All that while keeping in mind there is only one EV on the road in the US (that anyone cares about), and it doesn’t want or need outsourcing to charge its vehicle, no matter how fast those companies claim their chargers to be in their prospectus’s’s’s. Fact is by the time these concepts for fast-charging stations actually get to the point where they can produce their idea, Elon will already have taken the majority of the market. Hold the bags with your fingers crossed for 15 years if you want, or accept the L and put that money someplace it can work for you in the present.
which one of you degens recommended PTRA? it go down... I'm glad I'm retarded and bought PRTA instead
Did the PRTA earnings come out?
PRTA gonna make me rich this week At least I fuckin hope so anyway
No rumors. Just the fact that biden did visit PRTA
Quite a lot: DIDI, BABA, COIN, TDOC, TWTR, UBER And some small cap spec plays: SOFI, BARK, PRTA, PUBM, STEM
POTUS just tweeted there is going to be big EV news tomorrow. LEV PRTA time to run? I hope
Biden just made an EV tweet saying there is a big announcement tomorrow. LEV PRTA gonna run?
Lol ALEC has 100m in cash on hand with 15 items in their pipeline. The most prominent of which is a monoclonal antibody, as is the case for PRTA. Get the fuck out of here you donkey.
I'm still confused as to how this is valued so high. ALEC and PRTA are in a stronger position to succeed - lots of cash, decent results, strong collaboration with big bio, and smart biotech investment firms invested. Ecor1 is invested in both. I sold all my Alzheimer's positions- I got lucky, and this shit is way too hard to understand if you didn't study it for 4+ years. I've been reading up for a while, and I've never felt more retarded.
After reviewing recent DD: $RIG - most reasonable but oil stocks not moving; earnings Monday though and alleged insider buys $PRTA - cool sounding but maybe sus; infra play
Should this warrant a higher valuation than ALEC or PRTA? These two have tons of cash and partnerships with big bio. From the information presented so far, the valuation doesn't make sense to me. I think I'll just consider myself lucky and sell. Too complicated to think about, and I don't have a higher education in this field
I think some of those are actually good. But I won’t discourage you. Investing r/SPACs has worked before and PRTA is looking juicy at the current price.
This is a weird meme stock. Why not bet on ALEC or PRTA instead? I don't understand why SAVA is valued much more
Protera PTRA. Not PRTA, I heard someone brought that by mistake LOL.
PRTA, leading electric bus company
I'm retarded. I bought PRTA instead
ALEC and SAVA got an Alzheimer's pump today, but PRTA missing out on the party
I own 55 tickers and only five are green today: CRSR, EDIT, AMRS, MRNA, PRTA. Needless to say, I am sad today.
So glad someone brought this up. Definitely a solid 10 yr play - been around for 10+ years so even though it went public via the dreaded SPAC, it's not a workhorse or canoo, they have been and are currently delivering vehicles and fulfilling orders - no relevant competition as of now - Daimler is a big investor in them for their Thomasbuilt school bus line as well as mid sized delivery vans - They have partnered with Komatsu to create the first all EV excavator. This is a MASSIVE market and what I'm most excited about. Especially with all of these "green" regulations coming out, I wouldn't be surprised if govt mandate green construction vehicles in the future. I see John Deere, CAT, Bobcat, Kabota all going to Proterra for batteries - Proterra is an American company which grants them access to Buy American contracts through fed govt funds/programs. This put their biggest competitor BYD out of luck because they are China based. In fact, Washington St recently gave Proterra a bus contract over BYD because of Buy American regulations, even though BYD was cheaper. Great advantage especially with Bidens infrastructure bill upcoming It's a solid company with a ton of upside to come, they have just been hammered lately being lumped in with the EV and SPAC sector and also the early investors taking profits recently pushing the price down. I'm very long PTRA (not to be confused with PRTA)
PRTA is looking very nice right about now, especially if it drops below $13. Anyone who bought extremely high has a chance to average down very easily.
Why not buy ALEC or PRTA instead?
Good day to be all in on GGPI commons, will trim to get into cheap plays if I see a nice entry. Looking at PRTA and SOFI mostly
Hoping PRTA rises from the ashses.
Technically PRTA (not PTRA) doesn't have 140M shares to churn through so there's a chance she might be right...?
Shares and calls on PTRA. Lockup expired but seems like it got sold off also due to the PRTA deal and ticker confusion?! Largest company in the electric bus space 🚌
I seriously think it's an error because there are no news to drop it this much. I had some shares and bought more. Take a look at Prothena (PRTA) which actually has news causing sell-off
You might want to add more today. I think somebody F up. It's trading in sync with PRTA (Prothena) which has major news affecting their price. Prothena is a pharmaceutical company, NOT the EV company in this Post.
PRTA looks like a nice run maybe?
PRTA looks ready to go parabolic on this mornings news: https://wallstreetbetsreddit.blogspot.com/2021/07/short-squeeze-alert-prta-potential.html
Love seeing another PRTA jump. Cost basis: $14.10.
26.73%. Low cost basis on GME, sold off some shares for good profit. Bought PRTA as soon as a T1 halt ended (not even knowing the news lol), up 290%. Entered SPCE low and exited on the recent jump up. Profitable calls on SOFI, CLF, ASO, HPQ, TWNK.
I'm a complete beginner and found a stock that looks promising, looked at what the company is doing and I see no downside, yet the stock keeps going down. Should I bother investing in Proterra (PRTA) or wait to see what the company does first? They just began on the stock market a few weeks back.
Looking at the stocks you've picked, 100 Dollar invested in each of them (except DISCA, because its the same as DISCK) your returns are (if invested on 1st of march): * DISCK -40% * SBNY +10.75% * CSWC +4.69% * IEP -10.32% * ZBRA +3.52% * PRTA +139.32% * HAYN +18.76% With 700$ invested you would've made 826.72$ (18.1% profit). In the same period the S&P 500 did 10.1%.
These calls are trading for parity to the stock because PRTA is very hard to borrow, costing about 135% interest. You could also buy the Feb 22 12.5 calls for about parity, which you would be better off doing then the 10 calls, as it would reduce your risk even more. The worst thing here is to simply be long the stock, as your broker then gets the "benefit" of the hard to borrow. Along with just buying those 12.5 calls, you could also do the synthetic long and lock in more money. For example if you wanted to just be long the stock, you could buy the Feb 22 12.5 calls and sell the Feb 22 12.5 puts for around 2. If you held this to expiration vs just buying the stock, you would lock in an extra $2.

Maybe it’ll make the Wilshire 500 on day! PRTA looks much better on the recent charts even though financials are an abomination!
Prothena PRTA: https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/prothena-prta-up-78.2-since-last-earnings-report%3A-can-it-continue-2021-06-10 I expect the stock to go to at least 60+ before a pullback and/or might go higher. Earnings are in August, the first earnings were ass, but the stock has built momentum since then beating the S&P 500. Collaborating with Roche treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Has a shitty VGM score of "F" and is ranked #3 on Zack's Hold. I have a really small position on this to see where it leads and if it goes positive I'll go in deep.
You guys both missed what actually happened. LEV popped on its debut because they announced their US factory with 10x production capacity and a 1 year timeframe on the day they debuted. PRTA was down on it's first day, but it had nothing to do with a spac haircut. LEV was down by around the same amount on PRTA's launch day. Although I favor LEV, one can't come to any conclusion on the superior play this early. We can check back in 5 years.
Prothena PRTA seems like a decent invest.
BLNK PRTA Picking up some shares in these And some fat out options in BLNK Ev charging network play there.
Is that a typo in your title? It’s PRTA but in your description it’s PTRA
PRTA is Prothena a neuroscience company am I missing something?
You got it. ACTC changing to PRTA tomorrow
Is this currently under the ticker $ACTC or will it be a separate ticker under $PRTA?
The ticker will automatically change to PTRA (the merged entity) instead of ACTC (the SPAC). Some brokers might have a day or two delay and it may show up as numbers/letters at first, but you won’t have to do anything. Congrats to all PRTA holders, I’m expecting big things from this one!
Everything passed woo! ACTC is now PRTA (well, next week)
