I like your plan of doing it on Tech stocks and rebalancing every few months. I came across a portfolio a few weeks ago at PortfoliosLab you might be interested in: [FANG Plus Portfolio](https://portfolioslab.com/portfolio/fang-plus) It's equally-weighted AAPL, META, BIDU, NFLX, GOOGL, AMZN, TSLA, BABA, NVDA, & TCEHY. I've been running it in ToS Paper Money with 100-120DTE 80-delta Calls, and in exactly 3 weeks today it's up 32%. Just insane leverage with 120-day 80-delta Calls. But look at it on the website, they dive really deep into its metrics; especially check out it "risk-adjusted performance rate." But as good as that performance is, I've done better with a 5-ETF portfolio I picked myself. So please take a serious look at ETFs. Go to Barchart and find their ETF screener. De-select the leveraged ones, then add the filter "Has Options." Rank them by past 3-month performance, then look at their charts. Some I'd pick right now have done more than 40% in the past 3 months, and a lot of that momentum will continue. Then leverage them with LEAPS or 120DTE 80-delta Calls and hold onto your britches! You can roll the LEAPS however you like, lots of things work with options, but you might consider keeping them out at the 1y mark, and 80-delta. But if you DO let them degrade in time, then yes closing at 45 days (if not 60 days) is generally recommended.

Most of the ADRs, like BABA or TCEHY, are totally fungible claims on the exact same stock. If it's delisted in the US you can convert. This is what happened already with the Chinese telecoms that were delisted. You are not buying anything different if you buy the stock in Hong Kong, it's the same stock in the same company (a VIE in the Caymans).

Only stock I can think of that comes close to your criteria is PDD. BIDU BABA TCEHY JD are other big names but nowhere close to 30% growth (I assume you mean top line). BIDU/BABA/JD all down big over 5 years; while TCEHY up slightly, and PDD up but severely underperforming SP500. All the single digit PE is there to match the no growth to low single digit growth. PDD is up more recently due to the recent rise of Teemu.

Everyone hated on China for the last few years, even when valuations were dirt cheap.  Now look at this sub lol. Long FXI, BABA and TCEHY

r/stocksSee Comment

IMO - You're just using a selective timeframe to try and built a case. But zoom out and FXI and large caps such as BABA and TCEHY are dead money (which is putting it kindly) for a very long time; well off all time highs. But it would be fair to say the Chinese stocks have traded at lower multiples to the US due to geopolitical risks. Gets to a point where they would be bought simply for value plays.

Some NVDA news > Chinese firms place $16B in orders for new Nvidia chips, The Information reports > Alibaba (BABA), Tencent (TCEHY), and TikTok owner ByteDance are among the Chinese companies to have placed at least $16B in orders for Nvidia's (NVDA) H20 server chips, The Information's Qianer Liu reports, citing two people with knowledge of the transactions. DigiTimes previously reported that Chinese distributors of Nvidia's H20 GPU are facing severe supply constraints as demand surges for AI computing power in the market.

This trade dispute could significantly impact Nvidia's revenue and stock performance, especially given its substantial business in China. Investors should monitor how this situation evolves, as it may also affect related stocks like $BIDU, $AIFU, $MRVL, $TCEHY, and $TSM.

Buy all the AI-related stocks, especially the ones mentioned. DeepSeek is disrupting the industry, making AI cheaper and more accessible. Consider $600 SPY calls (because OP mentioned them, and YOLO). **Catalyst:** DeepSeek's groundbreaking AI model is shaking up the industry, forcing giants like Nvidia, Microsoft, and Meta to accelerate their AI development. Apparently, it's even good for holograms. **Concern:** Nvidia might get "fire taken from under its pot" if this DeepSeek thing is for real.

I don't think they can confiscate, but forced liquidation is always on the table.. If you were holding Russian stocks, the prices crashed, trading was halted, all ADR/ADS terminated and you would have received cash liquidation at rock bottom prices. If you look at big Chinese tech companies such as BABA TCEHY BIDU, they can't really grow without captial from the West. A company can do very well and the stock appreciates - but the inflows will have big influence on where it lands. IMO - there are so many good stock opportunites in NYSE/NASDAQ - what's the point of taking on risk investing in Chinese companies where historical performance is lower and extremely volatile?

Sure: MNSO: MINISO Group Holding Limited (MNSO) is currently trading at $17.51, showing signs of consolidation after a recent rally. The 10-day SMA ($17.23) is below the current price, indicating short-term bullish momentum, but the 20-day SMA ($17.66) suggests potential resistance. The RSI levels are neutral, hovering around 52, indicating neither overbought nor oversold conditions. The MACD histogram is negative, suggesting bearish momentum may be building. Given the broader market's cautious optimism and MNSO's technical setup, a short position could be considered if the price breaks below $17.40. Set an entry at $17.40, with a first target of $17.00 and a second target of $16.70, placing a stop loss at $17.80. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate due to mixed technical signals, while the second target carries lower confidence given the lack of strong bearish catalysts. TME: Tencent Music Entertainment (TME) is poised for a potential rebound today, driven by its recent partnership with Galaxy Corporation, which could enhance its global presence and diversify revenue streams. The stock has been trading below its 10-day and 20-day SMAs, indicating a short-term bearish trend, but the RSI suggests it's nearing oversold territory, hinting at a possible reversal. The MACD histogram shows a negative divergence, yet the broader market's cautious optimism and TME's strategic moves may provide upward momentum. Given the current price of $11.76, consider entering around $11.70, targeting $12.00 as the first price target and $12.30 as the second, with a stop loss at $11.50 to manage downside risk. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate due to the positive news catalyst, while the second target carries lower confidence given the technical resistance levels. Overall, TME's alignment with a high-profile artist and the potential for increased user engagement could drive short-term gains, though traders should remain vigilant of broader market volatility. And unfortunately we don't track TCEHY sorry!

If you read the sentiment in these threads, you'll see that people have basically lost all trust on China stocks, so pessimism is basically at rock bottom levels. Now couple that with an increasingly likely stimulus package and signs of life in the economy. This is a risky area, but this is where the big rewards lie. I think putting in a 5% allocation on TCEHY, BABA, and the like is not a bad option given this is the #2 economy in the world. If you have more risk appetite, I think even 10% at this time is not a bad strategy where you sell half or more on the initial run-up (e.g., post stimulus being quantified) and then trim it back to a 5% allocation for the longer term. China was an untapped market a decade or two again. There was a rally because they are printing money, but their economy is a little destressed. Also, there is risk of Chinese stocks being delisted, and of course political risk. That said, Burry and Buffet think it's worth the risk so WTF do I know. I made some on BABA years back, then got dicked on NIO (my bad), and really didn't like how my SE and TCEHY went because 1 quick decision from the government on regulations will decimate the stock.

I see a lot of China hate and bearish sentiment around Chinese assets. I get it, its been down for a long while and it seems to be never ending. when a stock goes down, everyone hates it. when a stock goes up, the company can do no wrong... However, if I may offer a different perspective. In my humble opinion it's actually a opportunity of a lifetime to buy these assets (BIDU Alibaba TCEHY JD and such) let's call them BATJ. All of these are traded in the HK stock exchange, if you look at history of the hang seng index it is extremely sensitive to the US monetary policies. The nuance here, is that the HKD is not a "real currency" in your most traditional sense where currency like CNY and USD are backed by the government behind it. The HKD is actually pegged to the USD and the amount of HDK in circulation various with how much USD is held in reserve. You can see how when the FED raise the interest, USD from all around the world runs back to the US to enjoy some sweet risk free gains. this will create a liquidity crunch in Hang seng. In history, every time the Fed does one of these interest cycles... weaker economies in the world go literal bust, be it Latin America, Japan, Korean Thailand you name it. topically when one of these cycle happens you see large and smart money going around shorting equities to the ground and then picking them up at the bottom therefore making profits left right and center. Essentially the people in these busted economies work for their new boss USofA now. This all started in 2018/2019 where the trade war started, then the feds raised the rates and decreased it. Between the period Apr 2022 to Feb 2022 you see a lot of investors took the opportunity to buy in. Li Lu and Charlie Munger being one of them happily paying 2-3X what it's worth now. I of course don't listen to what they say, I look at what they do. both of these investors then sold and called it a mistake when they realize the fed weren't done with their cycle. albeit, Munger still hold a decent amount of BABA. Despite what the media has been telling you about China's economy, it is not where near as bad as they want you to believe. I've actually been Nov 2023 and saw this with my own eyes. The trade war created a supply and demand imbalance where the USA is experiences inflation without cheap Chinese goods and China is experiencing over abundance of production capacity therefore they have had to cut down on production (leading to lower domestic income - spending) . However, a large part of that over capacity has been mediated because of their belt and road initiative aka new trading partners. Also, with the ally sanctions of Russia, the west have basically given up the entire Russian market to China for free and they gladly took it. Wasn't a smart move on Biden's end if you ask me. Back to the HK market, with the liquidity crunch in HK stock market and the bearish sentiment towards China the BATJ (being the big players) became the prime target for short sellers, understandably. combined with the rumors of "Chinese economy collapsing" and the rumors of instability with Taiwan. Everything seems loom and doom. Now.. with the recent events of Isreal Palestan war, Ukraine and Russia war that blown the US debt to some 34Trillion. the interest alone will send them into default if they do not decrease the rates soon. despite what the Fed says, they do not have a choice to hike or keep the rates high come June2024. which means liquidity will soon flow back the other way and the Hang seng will recover... like it always has. I'm not saying there won't be turbulence in the short term. but at these prices... it's a steal. The market is always forward looking, so with the rate cut insight, the flow reversal may happen in a snap of a finger. If I hand enough cash, I'd buy all of Bidu and make them pay me all of their 28 Billion dollar in cash as dividend. Then own the company for free, thats how ridiculously cheap they are right now. Thank you for reading. If you have any questions feel free.

Investors see China's action vs certain companies (restrictions on the business of EDU, TAL--see a 5 yr chart), and their restrictions on gaming companies like NTES and TCEHY, and get scared off. YNDX's abrupt delisting after Russia's invasion of Ukraine also makes investors wary of totalitarian regimes.

I’m thinking about buy LEAPS on Gyna tech: BABA TCEHY BIDU NIO PDD - it’s looking cheap. Are any of these absolute trash though?

China's population is shrinking rapidly, and BABA does not conduct overseas business as effectively as TikTok/Temu. I believe that BABA stock will suffer over a long period, whereas Tencent (TCEHY) may recover more successfully than BABA.

Tell him to uninstall Robinhood or whatever app he’s using to trade and he’ll get all his money back. No but seriously I lost 30,000 trying to day trade and trying to revenge trade and make Back my money. It worked for a bit until I plunged down even further. It’s an endless cycle of losing money. I really wish I gave up day trading earlier and stick to long trades. But in my defense I was young and dumb and only got into trading when that happened. I made $1900 in a few DAYS from day trading and I was untouchable. It’s like this easy money scheme or so it seemed. Then I kept losing money and kept telling myself I’ll make it up by day trading even more except it never happened and I ended up losing 30k. Then I finally realized what I had done and now I’m only sticking to long trades strictly. I just have JPM, NVDA, TSM and TCEHY and they are giving me fantastic returns even with just 13k invested. But I’m not too worried because all of that 30k was free Money for me as I’m just 23 and I earned all of it myself. I don’t have bills I need to worry about. I’m hopeful I’ll make my money back one day and I’m kinda glad I got into trading but day trading ruined me. Let me tell you from experience that day trading requires much more research and info. It’s not just recognizing patterns and getting into a trade. It’s not for the weak of heart and you have to control your emotions when you lose a trade. You can’t just go knee deep thinking you’ll make it back by just getting into random trades with stocks you don’t even know. I finally realized why only 1% of day traders actually make money. It’s not because you can’t win money with day trading but because you win so much you become way too confident and keep going into bad trades. And to justify it, you go into worse trades and keep losing money hoping you’ll make it back some day with a banger of a trade. Except that day Never comes. It’s an endless cycle. Just get into long trades and you’ll comfortably make quite a bit of money which you can put into more long trades and keep gaining money.

I've owned JD and PDD in the past, and I'm considering opening a position in JD and TCEHY. But only if they drop to absolutely ridiculous levels. I'm talking like a market cap of 26/27 billion for JD and about 270 billion for TCEHY. I will keep watching them, if they fall this far, I simply won't be able to help myself

Based on..? Your bunghole tingling a certain way on a certain day? You do realize it’s the other mega cap tech companies (think MSFT, META, ORCL, GOOGL, AMZN, TCEHY, etc.) that are buying the H100s right? You do realize you are saying the vast majority of the Mag7 will go “belly up”? BasilExposition? More like BaselessExposition.
