Copper stocks have risen a lot in the last year because copper is needed for power products like wire and transformers. You're a bit late to the game now; would I buy copper today? I have holdings in COPP, IE, TGB, IVPAF, GCUMF. GCUMF is probably the most asymmetrical play I have seen since silver was $14. Copper is cyclical and I'm unlikely to live long enough to see the end of this cycle. The US and much of the developed and indebted world are about to embark on the greatest forced growth plan ever attempted. I could go into the reasons why but I don't have time. This will crank hard commodities up to 11 and eventually spark conflict. You can see the beginnings now. Pretty much any metal is a good bet, gold and silver are well under way, copper is just starting.

Depends on the circumstances. Impossible to time perfectly, but momentum trading allows you to snipe on the upside. I watch a few tickers that are volatile TGB & GANX have made money for me lately. Others I keep long term and just buy on a regular schedule GLD has done well for me. I do own VOO & SCHD as stalwarts.
I'm still pissed. I put $40k into $TGB in 2022 because I believed in the copper market. I sold after losing about $10k. If I kept that position until today I would be up 230%. I had the right play but I didn't wait long enough I guess.

I’ve been long TGB for the past 5+ years. Maintaining a core (sub $2) holding in taxable, while flipping shares in my Roth. It’s been a fun ride. Still one of my largest individual stocks.

Right. Place an order and let us know how it turns out. People know about TGB (Taseko Mines), there's simply not much interest in the options. As evidenced by the very low Vol and OI (zero in many cases.) Good luck.
I agree that TGB is undervalued if they ramp up Florence smoothly. Yesterday, the announced a stock secondary offering. They also said copper cathode production to start in next 3 months, so probably not until mid January now. Once the dilution is behind them with a good catalyst ahead, it should continue heading up unless price of copper collapses.
Sound like you've talked yourself into buying 2027 and 2028 TGB Calls. You do realize that there aren't many strike prices available to trade and most of the have little or no Volume and Open Interest. Taseko Mines (TGB) my first real runner I’m trying to get a better perspective on copper demand going forward. I first dipped into Lithium (LAC), saw a nice rise and then a drop, so I rotated into copper instead. Right now I’m in TGB, which is up about 103% YTD, and I’m feeling pretty good. That said, I’m trying to figure out where the ceiling might be and what concerns I should keep in mind. Still very new to all this, so go easy on me — just looking to learn and hear others’ thoughts.

In case this post gets any traction, I've been shouting it from the rooftops about TGB as a consistent growth stock. Over and over. I'm not hyping it. I truly just hope others start making some money on it. And it is still a penny stock, so I apologize. But take a look at their last 5 years of growth.

GOOGL, APPL, LULU, CRISP are all too cheap to ignore right now. GOOGL more so than all of them. It's a penny stock, but I posted months ago about TGB's success and how it's been ripping lately. Since my post, it's up around .75ish/share. Also with RIVN at under $15/share, it seems too low. Most of the new Amazon trucks are RIVN. They also announced they're charging Germany $3.5 billion for access to their technology. Oh and Tesler is on the fritz. Technology is hot and going nowhere but up. Minerals and rocks/mining I'd say could be a close 2nd.

Copper mining - I am very long Tasko Mines (TGB) with high conviction. They will be opening a new in-situ recovery mine in Florence, AZ in Q4. It will come close to doubling the production from their current open-pit Gibraltar mine in British Columbia. It is slated to be the “greenest” copper mine, and obviously copper will continue to be extremely important to industry and electronics. They have other Canadian projects many years down the pipeline as well. Worth a look 👀
Happy Thanksgiving. Peace and good will on Earth. Charts normalized to YTD. Didn't cherry pick the Feb 28th 2024 low like I normally do. Guess I will keep this short. In my opinion we are in a precious metals bull market. Gold is crushing it lets be honest for a 17 trillion dollar market cap asset not bad up 25% YTD. It is good to see leadership among the GDX and SILJ components. All the charts featured are either GDX and/or SILJ components. Some tickers belong to both. Silver is also up 25% YTD as I write this. It was up 40% YTD at the most recent peak. Silver has taken a major beating. The Silver to Gold ratio is at an extreme of 88:1 The compression of this ratio from high levels to low levels is what really drives the mining stocks whether they be primary gold or silver producers because most gold producers have silver biproduct. The GDX January 2026 calls are performing well if you cherry pick the low. I'm long the 40C and 10C for SILJ. That's about it I suppose. Just wanted to share this and get the word out. Metals have strong fundamentals. We are waiting on silver to get moving. If silver has a face ripping rally in 2025 you want to be in these instruments before the move. Catching a falling knife isn't easy but for me the risk is worth the reward. Let's see if Trump can open up American metals mining for business. If so the tickers are CDE HL BKRRF TGB USAU DC SSVRF TMQ off the top of my head. Disclaimer I'm long SILJ and GDX calls and all these tickers.
Transparency and self awareness are good traits to have if you are going to gamble in the capital markets. I'm still holding this American copper producer/explorer. I got emotional when I saw the silver stock ETF SILJ didn't any longer show TGB on their books. Maybe they had a good reason. I also got Canadian gold explorer wrong and posted as such in another sub reddit. Get it wrong? Admit it, sell or hold and move on or redeploy elsewhere. Appreciate the support. LFG

Well, at this point I believe that it has to do with the price of copper going forward. The price of copper is going to be determined by the supply and demand which by all accounts is in favor of a higher demand and a tighter supply. Also, I believe that once the Fed feels like they can start reducing interest rates this will effect the price of the dollar that will eventually start to weaken which will result in a higher price for copper as well as other commodities. However, I believe that the earliest the Fed would act on interest rates would be in September but even though they say that they are not political I would be shocked to see them act before the election. As far as TGB goes as a stand alone copper producer I believe that they are set up well for their stock price to move higher because of the fact that the labor problem is solved at the Gibraltar Mine and the Florence Copper project will be up and running in the first quarter of 2025. The market should start to price in the addition of the Florence revenues before the end of the year. My guess is that we're going to see a potential for the price to reach between 3.50 and 3.75 before the first of next year.

Looking at CELH, NEE and TGB for a copper spec. NEE just issued shares... down 4%. Won't stay there. CELH just got an upgrade. TGB just inked a contract with it's miners and is a good buyout target.
I own some energy stocks... DNN or Denison mines. Uranium exploration... still a penny stock, down at the moment. Seems to be a great company with real potential. TGB isn't energy, but they focus on mineral deposits, still a penny stock with some upside potential. Ring energy is one I also own, but I'm not exactly sure how I feel about holding that one long term. Energy is a good sector to invest in, but I would also stay away from anything that is primarily oil/gas. There are so many things that can change the price politically... Almost forgot, ET or energy transfer. Price doesn't change much, but good dividends. Anyone else willing to share a few stock ideas, I'd appreciate it.

Copper is definitely set to be a hot commodity in the upcoming decades. That said, I feel like TGB is making the right moves to set themselves up to be a strong part of the copper economy

Listed in the US copper mines ERO, TGB, FCX, HBM, SCCO, all green right now. HBM being the most undervalue. 
Commodities. Buy something like Taseko Mines (TGB) or Energy Transfer (ET) or a Gold stock (NUGT?).
TGB copper mines is keeping me happy. Their chart is stable and going up now for months now--looks like SPY only it was cheap enough for me to be able to afford options. Now that I can afford other options, I'd prefer to just stay the course. I will hold my NVDA, SPY, and SMCI and I will maybe buy more ETH this week without a whole lot of expectations--my hope is that the upcoming BTC half thing will funnel money into other stuff.

TGB - Small copper miner. Recently received approval for a new mine in AZ. If copper prices rise, this should skyrocket.
My pick for the remainder of this year and next is Teasko Mines(TGB). They're on the cusp of getting the final permit for their Florence Copper Project from the EPA. The stock is an easy double from here at the current price of 1.40 and once copper regains a price of 4.50-5.00 it could easily approach 3.00 dollars per share. Trust me and you can thank me later!
The way I make money is by picking volatility. Stock goes up gets assigned. Stock goes down rebuy rinse repeat. In between profits are made when the issue doesn’t get assigned. I trade covered calls in mining and some REITs. So NLY, TGB, NEM, FCX only when conditions are right.
SBSW - ($5.2B mkt cap) Mining stock that's been beat up a lot more than it should. TGB - ($412M) another Mining stock much smaller but established in several promising areas to mine. ATKR - ($5.6B) electrical grid company. Will play a part in building up infrastructure to support increasing electrical needs. CLNE - ($995M) alternative fuel company for fleet vehicles, still in build-up stage.
The real issue is the dollar will take a hit. Buy miners? NEM, GLD, FCX, TGB?
for copper I am just in VALE and a couple junior companies on the tsx, along with WRN and some calls on TGB on the NYSE (US EPA really screwed me over on that one). On the ASX I am not in any copper, but I am in the uranium companies and also in sovereign metals. As for RIO I do have some but I think they need to go shopping even after they bought that mine in Mongolia. If I miss the boat on copper somewhat, so be it, but right now precious metals and uranium seem to be places I want to sit and wait in more.
My favorite Canadian stock is TGB They're primarily into copper mining, but also generate a decent amount of Gold as a "waste product" in the process. . My high level DD is: the whole world is going electric. That's a lot of copper cable.
I bought January 19, 2024 calls in TGB and EXPI. Some in the money, some OTM. Strikes of $1, $1.5, $2 and $10, $12.5, $15. TGB likely is about to get final permitting approval of its new copper mine, Florence Copper in Arizona. It's the last step other than finishing construction, long lead equipment will all have arrived by years end and is mostly paid for. They have enough liquidity to get fully into production without dilution and their other mine at Gibraltar is making $100 M/year in EBITDA now they are hitting a better zone. Market cap is only $375M though they also have a $200 M net of debt. EXPI is the fastest growing real estate brokerage in the world. They have had a big drop in profit as transactions have fallen in the back half of this year but the agent count keeps rising. Keller Williams is bleeding agents to eXp, eXp is essentially a better designed version of the same company. They are the next big thing in real estate but I feel like only savvy realtors are more in the know about it. I am a realtor at eXp who left KW FYI.

Good morning: I just wanted to let everyone know about Taseko Mines and the tremendous upside potential for this stock. The symbol is TGB and trades on the AMEX. The price of the stock has already increased 0.43 cents per share since the middle of March. With copper in short supply and demand for copper being at an all time high this stock should be trading much higher than 2.40. The company is waiting for the EPA to grant the final permit for their Florence Copper Project which should come at anytime now. This mine is the most environmentally friendly mine ever developed and has a life expectancy of 25 years. With the transition to the green economy this company is poised to benefit from this transition over the next decade and is terribly undervalued at this point. The company has already done all of the heavy lifting and it is just waiting for the permit to be granted in order to proceed.

Since the middle of March the stock has already increased 0.43 cents. Analysts have a high price target of almost 3.00 dollars. So, in reality all of the heavy lifting has been done by the company and should see a significant increase in share price as time goes by. Plus, very low volatility in this current market environment.

TGB Taseko Mines Ltd. They started making money 2q '21 yet the price stayed pretty much the same for the past year. Holds Zacks #1 strong buy rating. Their reported adjasted EBITDA for'21 up 85%. Just bought some, thinking of getting more, before investors notice.
I am long copper. Will maintain between 4-5$. FCX has massive room to run which I have a large position in. I also hold speculative positions in TGB and EXMGF.
FCX- From largest to smallest. All tiers of copper miners will do well this year given inflation and low supply causing a run up in the metal price. TGB EXMGF
