It's a great day to remember back in Jan 2009 when I first started investing, I almost shares Netflix but, being new and dumb, I thought share prices that were smaller had a better chance of making me money. I ended up buying 10 shares of WBS at $3.72/sh and 4 shares of GE at $9.57/sh. I ultimately held WBS for 1 year and doubled my $50 and held GE for 4 years with a 7% CAGR, easily trailing SPY and QQQ. Netflix? Well, the 3 shares that I didn't buy at $33/sh would now be worth \~$23,500.

I had 10 POET $8.00 Nov 11 options. I sold 5 once I reached 150% gains. Some in WBS told me I was wrong for selling too soon. I said you have to take profits, lock in wins. My profits paid off the entire trade and some for my pocket. The other 5 contracts are riding free paid for. Lesson is take your gains.. don't bee too greedy..or you will lose it all in an instant.
There have been a few times I seen things on WBS, but not going to lie, I have a zip trader file which I have been tracking most of his stocks he reports on and in green for most of them. A lot of them are tech and AI. That is how I learned about APLD a month ago and got PLTR back at 8$.
Running that for my portfolio was brutal. So many tickers lol. My benchmark paper portfolios were easy since it's just SPY or QQQ "transactions". Anyway, data goes back to January 2009 when broke me opened my first taxable brokerage with $50 and purchased 10 shares of WBS for $4.715/sh and paid a $9.95 commission(!). Retirement joins the data in March 2014 when I began actively managing my own 401k (and opened my first IRA) instead of leaving the money in mutual funds. * SPY benchmark paper portfolio has returned 12.17% annually for a total return of 579.9% * QQQ benchmark paper portfolio has returned 14.56% annually for a total return of 866.8% * My portfolios have returned 14.85% annually for a total return of 927.6%. Worth noting for the past 2.5ish years, my portfolios have trailed QQQ by a wide margin and has barely kept up with SPY. I think I'm a few bps behind it now. Hence I've been consolidating my portfolio into 15-30 core positions I have the highest conviction on and the remaining funds are being put into QQQ/VOO/AVUV/AVDV. With my daughter growing up and more stuff to do, I just don't have the same time to enjoy researching companies and maintaining a 100% active portfolio.

Reversing WBS is a real thing. Most people in here have limited trading experience and will just say the general consensus, AKA the obvious move, but most of the time, stocks are irrational and only move on surprises and reversals since the consensus is already priced in. If a stock is expected to do bad, and they do less bad then expected... stock goes up 20% ( like Kohls recently). With earnings reports, It's all about predicting the surprises and not relying solely on the general consensus. Stocks move most on reversals. Low stocks going back up, high stocks falling back down etc.
TMC is the next great thing WBS does.

It exists because someone was upset they got banned. There's other posts just like that that think the rules are arbitrary and unfair. I saw your other comments where you said half the commenters were already banned, but I absolutely did nothing in WSB itself to get banned myself and you can keep me banned I've been critical of the sub before outside of that sub and you guys didn't come running when I talked about it because I would have noticed. You have a sub with millions of people if you want to make it a rule that people can't bitch and moan about WBS mods on other subs you should explicitly state that in your rules. And yes this sub did become a circle jerk of politics after you guys started banning people for political memes. That's all it was. And I am in other political subs. I at first (april 2020 to dec 2020) I was buying penny stocks and everything and anything. CTRM WKHS NIO GEVO ZOM AMC WBS AAL then when I realized how volatile it was and I started losing money I slowly got out of all my positions and found Rolls Royce (airplane emgine maker, not the car) BMW actually owns the car side of the buisness. anyways, at the time was at an all time low and I saw it as a guarantee for a full recovery so I took the gamble.

And then you said “Both have had massive short interest, easy to Google this before saying something that’s objectively false.” Which is a false statement on your part since the short interest is 2% for tsla which is normal and 8% for CVNA which isn’t even that high. Then you backtrack and say “You claimed that nobody wants to short Carvana but they do Tesla, when carvana literally had more short interest.” Now where did I say nobody? Are you so naive to think *nobody* shorts any given stock? And this is false too, since TSLA short interest is 59.6 million shares while CVNA has 10.9 million shares.
