I don't see how anyone could consider an exchange backed coin to be a better investment than something like BTC or ETH. It just enables the exchange to participate in riskier and riskier behavior by giving them extra liquidity that isn't strictly linked to processing transactions or functioning as an exchange. I have a few friends who invested in BTB for the sole reason that it's a top 10 coin. Never mind that one of the big reasons binance is even on top in the first place is because it's [complicit](https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/exclusive-crypto-exchange-binance-helped-iranian-firms-trade-8-billion-despite-2022-11-04/) in a whole lot of the financial shenanigans and criminal activity that gives crypto a bad name. Honestly these exchange backed coins are going to be one of the biggest reasons crypto gets over regulated because to me it's no better than investing in LUNA.

Russian currency collapse, people can’t get money from ATMs, cannot exchange foreign currencies, if you search Binance BTB/RUB trading pairs you can see the capital flight into btc. Russian Hodlers came off best, people now lost 30% value of their savings going all in to protect whats left I hope they get their coins off the exchange, even the stock exchange is closed now.

Was playing Halo Master Chief Collection just after BTC hit 60k for the first time. Zanzibar BTB. Guy on the other team had BTC as his tag. So I messaged him. Ended up picking him up in a warthog and driving him to the beach so we could retire from the battle and have a BTC 60k beach party.

don't look at the prices, but start look at the market cap! For example Doge is about 0,5 but has an enormous market cap, so it's extremely hard that you'll see another big growth, [yearn.finance](https://yearn.finance) for example, has a lower market cap but a huge price (80k), and did an enormous growth in the last couple days. A noob error is to buy coin that cost very low. Instead imho, you should focus on ETH and BTB, and some very solid project. I personally have ADA, XLM, DOT and ALGO
Ark was my first purchase in 2017, point and ckick your own blockchain, coin conversion, staking I thought I thought it was genius. Also with fun, cheat proof unlike gambling. Oh well Now I just DCA with BTC lesson learned from playing and chancing all game. On a happy note, I was able to turn 4 BCH into 1 full BTB when the flippening" was super hot topic. The good old alt days.

What other ways are there? I guess I'm spoilt because I've always been a member of private torrent sites since the somethingawful BTB days, but those sites are still going strong and it's still to this day how I get all my media. But I'm struggling to think of "far easier ways".
