historically the real bull run begins about 6 months after the halving and lasts about a year, so might end between Labor Day and NYE 2025. A broader view is that it starts 6 mos before the halving which has some merit but is sort of irrelevant to when the bear begins. I think we have seen a gradual muting of the halving cycle and going forward I would expect it to be less relevant, especially as adoption catches fire among normies like pension plans, retirement funds, corporates, governments, etc. I'll probably hedge come Labor Day but will keep exposure to the upside. I'm sort of mentally figuring $250k-$500K by Labor Day 2025, but $1m-$3m by NYE 2030. Those are wild guesses but my point is that even though I am strongly bullish, there will come a time late in 2025 that I will hedge the downside. This is the most volatile asset out there.

People seem to think it’s some sort of NYE countdown deal with balloons falling and NGU technology going into overdrive when in reality…nothing really happens…until months later (in previous cycles that is, nothing is guaranteed this time). Right now the index is barely clinging to double digits and price is the close to lowest it’s been since NYE ‘21. The market is at the mercy of whales so you can never know the “best time” to go all in.

Next day I asked him to explain again and a few months later I figured out how to buy some. Got caught up in the ATH when it went to over $1000 and sold mostly out. It dropped and I forgot about it until 2017. Some news piqued my interest and I was blown away. Checked my cold wallet. All there. Forgot about it. Something happened last year. Piqued my interest. Checked my balance. All there. Trying to forget about it again. $100k might pique my interest again. I dunno. I've bought in 20% during these dips in the last 3 months. See you in late 2023 I guess.
