The best solution is to dump a lot of money into a 5% to 10% Interest account. My city (in RI) has multiple roundabouts - 4 just in the historic downtown alone. And you've obviously never driven to The Cape - biggest roundabout ever and in the summertime you can still wait hours to get over the Bourne Bridge to even get to it. OP, your post is very much US centric. Lemme make my CeFi suggestions for "everyone else" Plebeians: Celsius is probably still your best earn outlet on no-term. Nexo for BTC on 1 month. No premium account level to unlock rates. Great for BTC, ETH, stablecoin, etc. Next would be CDC (crypto dot com), where you unlock competitive rates, downsides are 3 months term and need at least the middle card tier to get the competitive rates, otherwise just do Celsius/Nexo. CDC's middle card tier is affordable ($4k USD in card stake) and unlocks a lot of things HNWI: SwissBorg (not for them Yanks) with Premium Genesis on no-term beats Celsius on a sunny day. Offers a much better fiat to crypto on-ramp. Without premium at SB, just do Celsius. CDC (again). HNWI's can benefit from the top two card tiers, unlocking even higher earn rates (rates that JG/RI cardholders get +2%/CRO). Yes, 3 months term, but earn rates become very competitive. Invictus Capital (not for Yanks!)...invite only for HNWI's, but "up to 8%" on BTC/ETH, terms up to 12 months and earn in-kind. Guys, this is a VERY UNIQUE opportunity for BTC bull runners!! Now is the time to park your BTC in a crypto loan. Either CDC (with JG/RI card tier or higher) for non-Americans, Celsius (no account level required), or CeFi/DeFi borrowing outlet of your choice! The loan itself is not a taxable event. The fact that anyone FUD's BTC means they probably bought an obnoxious amount at or near ATH (let's say 0.25 BTC or more). If this is you, then really, really consider this (and anyone else who wants to bull run BTC hard). Americans can swap stablecoin for other crypto on Coinbase or Kraken on the cheap. Everyone there's Uniswap, non-Americans consider Binance (especially if VIP) or SwissBorg (if premium). Loans from Binance aren't competitive afaik 1. The loan is not a taxable event 2. Borrow stablecoin. Use stablecoin to buy the coin of your choice. Note that if you buy BTC, that in itself is not a taxable event, but you'll eventually need to sell. Consider how crypto gains are taxed in your jurisdiction (First In, First out for US, purchase cost averaging for Canada, etc.). You do not have to buy BTC. You can buy ETH. If you're not American, I would highly recommend buying C20 (crypto 20 index) on Invictus. Just my 2¢ but do what you're most bullish on 3. Ride out the loan and run with the bulls 4. When it's time to sell, sell what you have to (to pay back loan and/or taxes) 5. Voilà! You now have more crypto! If you bought something other than BTC, you can sell that, and buy BTC to HODL more (again selling that asset could be a taxable event) Looking back, had I done this on March 13, 2020...I'd be crazy rich now. I'm already doing one crypto loan (and borrowed a lot of fiat on the cheap from the banks) in order to get in on some bull runs this year, so rather than FUD...run with the bulls! You will probably never see BTC this cheap again in your lifetime. Just saying.
