I agree on the fact that you can't take recover once you top up from CDC, I personally top up like 100 euros per time and spend them and than top up again with 0 fees so I find good with that card, not a shill i couldn't care less of what card other people use. I had 2 out of 3 in the list and as I said binance was not my type.

Mentions:#CDC
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

So, subtle CDC shill? You have to top up your card with fiat, and there is no way to recover them on the platform. Binance for example allows you to transfer BUSD to your card wallet, and remove it out. Or if your taxation supports it, you can just use crypto. Or fiat.

Mentions:#CDC#BUSD
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

That's sad. In theory, CDC cards are very competitive; but if this is what you get in practice… Perhaps they could spend less on advertising and a bit more in customer support.

I actually was going to get my Jade yesterday, I have saved up enough apparently. But I think in any case if you think about it, you will get 10% earn +3% + 20 dollars for netflix+spotify. So if you stake it for 6 months and use this card then even if it drops 50 percent, you still will make at least 200 dollars in staking, 240 dollars in netflix/spotify , 300 dollars in cashback rewards for groceries in a year. THat's 840 dollars you get back and you can either transfer it into USDC (and either stake on celsius or CDC or nexo) or you can buy BTC with it or just get it back in USD. SO I think even if it goes to bear market you will still profit a little off it

Facts. My employer made us go to the office during quarantine. New York got hit hard and the CDC had yet to give any consistent advice on covid. My bosses stayed home but threatened to fire us if we didn't go. Half of the office got covid. Family members died. I was under quarantine cause my mom got covid and live with her, yet they wanted me to go to work but I held firm. We kept getting yelled at. Enough was enough. These aren't banks, where if the bank goes under your money is insured (up to 150k I think) and all you do is move it to another. Obtaining 12% off circle, BlockFi, celsius or CDC has a number of risks. They are: 1. Whoever they loan your money to may go bust and never pay it back (there is sometimes insurance offered by the platform on this aspect). 2. The place your staking your money may go bust (wiped by a hack aswell), especially young companies which they are. There is no guarantee like a bank that you could ever get your money back except to stake a claim in liquidations court. Even then it'll take years and you'd get cents back on the dollar. Companies will only tell you their failing when the roof is on fire. 3. The underlying stablecoin itself may fail. The fact is a stablecoin isn't a US dollar, you're relying on trusting a company to say it's all good. Circle is better than others but it's not great, for example they recently changed their wording from backed 1 to 1 to now backed in equivalents like Tether. You could go to sleep one day and wake up with it collapsed, it'd be that quick. 4. Everything could be fine in regards to the above 3, but the space is only now being looked at for regulations. A law can be passed that could ban the above offerings, and then it becomes a race of how quickly can you pull your money out before you can't. It's why they offer such high interest, as these are very high risk.

I haven't used Kraken. I started on CBP and got onto BinanceUS for the same reasons... more coin options. Then I got CDC, and now on Gemini for staking. But that's more on my end than theirs.

In the US, you can use CB, BinanceUS, Kraken, Gemini and CDC as fiat on ramps. From there you can trade through places like Gate and KuCoin by depositing coins from the exchanges. Then you can hold and stake on BinanceUS, Gemini, and Celsius.

i think you transferred to the DeFi wallet, is that right? If so, you're interacting with decentralized loaning stuff, not CDC's own earn program. If you want to get 12% on your USDC, you need to leave it on your CDC app, NOT in the wallet. The wallet is for on-chain stuff. If you don't know exactly what you're doing, you're going to have bad surprises. And to reiterate, the wallet interacts with decentralized processes such as Compound, Yearn, or AAVE. The fees and returns are not up to CDC, they are set by these chains.

I've been liking [crypto.com](https://crypto.com) (CDC) as their Visa card pretty much anchors their service in my everyday life. The cashback and perks are really good compared to credit cards available in my region. I haven't really had a need to off-ramp my assets to my bank account or anything like that. I can spend what I need directly through the card. My biggest pain point with CDC is the quite high spread when buying crypto with fiat. They are saying that they'll add fiat pairs to the exchange but we'll see. Sure, earning interest in their native crypto is not optimal for everyone but so far it has been as good as most other cryptos out there and it has more utility on the CDC platform. I do often exchange the native crypto for other crypto though.

I don’t think you’ve thought this through all the way. The end user would need to give you, then recall the money to spend it. Research the first 4-6 digits of the card. That is what classifies the card as whatever, regardless of What is printed. But that's just how it is. The CDC card is considered a pre-paid card...but I've been able to buy stuff online for merchants that don't accept prepaid because their system reads as debit. Sometimes, I want to get cash back at a store but the store reads it as credit, so no cash back. But it is unfortunate that this happens with Verizon. The Coinbase card gives a bit more Cashback for most users (4% back vs the typical CDC user getting 2% or 3%), but CDC more than makes up for it with all the extras such as higher Earn rates on many cryptos, CRO staking, and extra card benefits (100% back in Spotify and Netflix). USA stands for "United States of America". It's not USOA. CDC stands for "Centers for Disease Control and Prevention". It's not CFDCAP. NASA stands for "National Aeronautics and Space Administration". It's not NAASA. PETA stands for "People for Ethical Treatments of Animals". It's not PFETOA. And so on. So saying "It would be HOFDL if thats what it stood for" is plain wrong. Omitting some words from an abbreviation is quite normal, especially for syncategorematic words like "for", "of", "and", "or" etc. Yes, the typo is where "hodl" originated. Does not mean it did not change meaning over time. Today, "hodling" is clearly not synonymous for "holding". Two distinguished meanings. If I got some BTC right now, I'm holding BTC. If I got some BTC and plan to keep it for a very, very long time, I'm hodling.

Haven't used the CDC exchange but the app is by far the best I've used to buy and sell.

Set up 2FA with CDC using Google Authenticator, but it seems so hard to back up. Want to change to a different Authenticator but not sure how?! God damn this shit is so difficult and confusing.

I’m buying MATIC and DOT since CDC has good rewards for them. Bullish hoping the new users that’ll join will do the same thing and pump a bit for as long as they offer 10%

nice how do you like CDC vs other cex always love to hear other people thoughts on other exchanges. When I looked at CDC the withdrawal fees were a bit frightening for me.

I have the worst time with that. I saw somewhere (got no idea if it was anything reputable or not)that even with the address changing, the previous one will still work but I’ve been to scared to try that. I move it to CDC and then to CBP but what a pia

Yes I definitely prefer CDC: the combination of exchange (to buy/sell) and app (to manage and monitor) is very well done. My routine is to buy USDT/USDC on the app (low/no spread), move to the exchange (one tap, no fees), trade on the exchange (since you cannot trade fiat on it) and then move back in the app to use earn or to spread the coins over the various non-custodial wallets

Totally bullish on DOT. ALGO is kinda bullish on. ETH, some BTC and SOL (did lot of stupid sells and buys during SOL rush smh). Also staking CDC for the VISA card. Have put some into AUDIO to. Cryptos Spotify?

My biggest complaint after using CDC is that their price displayed is what you pay when you buy however if you pay attention when selling it is significantly lower than the listed price. I sold some ADA today just cause and it was listed at $2.28 and it sold in the same minute at $2.22... if making big transactions it would make a big difference.

CDC just ain't the move. Doesn't let you do the most basic of things such as limit orders on the app. It's only buy or sell. You don't get to place orders for the price you want. They must be raking it in because of normies who don't know that when they press buy and sell CDC is placing orders way off market price and pocketing the difference.

I hear you, I like CDC but that'd put me off too. Had a similar thing happen to me with Binance.
