Example: the blockchain when creating the next block requires us to solve for a number that can fit the transaction block hash (header). Here is the block hash for the latest Bitcoin block: 00000000000000000000664d48a530c8a9047ae31f6ba81ff5c49c22072d4536. The last 32 digits are the block hash and the digits before them present the details (in a compressed hash format) of the transactions in that block. Nobody knows that number (before the block is solved) but we all have to solve for it. Let’s say we know the number is a simple 2 digit number in the range of 30-50 (for simplicity but the real number is 32 digits). We try every number going from 30-31-32-33–……-49-50. Let’s say 42 was the correct solution to fit the block hash. The first one to 42 gets the correct one wins the block and gets to earn fees from the transactions.. When you (the miner) find 42, you shout it out to other miners who hear 42. They can easily verify that 42 fits into the last 2 (in reality 32 digits) digits of the block hash to complete it. It’s like solving a math problem - if I give you 250 and 5, you know the solution is 50 (50x5 = 250). That’s how other miners VERIFY that the hash number you found is correct. They just need to make sure that 42 fits in the hash, which is very easy but FINDING THAT 42 is VERY HARD! The miner who correctly found 42 did the hard work of finding 42, hence winning the block. In reality, the number is like 32 digits so it’s impossible to imagine, but I hope this explanation helps conceptualize it. Can someone please correct me and let me know if my explanation is alright? None of those are errors. According to Digiconomist, a single bitcoin transaction uses the same amount of power that the average American household consumes in a month — which equals roughly a million times more in carbon emissions than a single credit card transaction. Sparrow wallet. Withdraw from exchamge to Sparrow. Use its whirlpool feature. Let the funds mix for some months. In the meantime, look into hardware wallets. (I recommend ColdCard). When your coins are mixed, send them using Sparrow from your "hot" wallet to your HWW. You can do the whole thing with just Sparrow Wallet. The only other very important but technically optional thing is running your own node. Look into runcitadel or myNodeBTC or RaspiBolt for ways to VERIFY your coins are yoirs after you take control of them and start moving them.

Got a very confortable amount of money in bit and eth a few years back. A lot of what i have today i have crypto to thank for. And that lead me to believe in this market and the skepticism of its users. TRUST BUT VERIFY. We dont verify anymore, if you post questions like that you just get called a FUD or worse. I know its unpopular but its easy for govs to shut down anything they want. Not our own wallets, i think so. Maybe Microsoft can decide to block any cryptorelated stuff in Windows, maybe. But its easier. Just cut the fiat-interface at exchangers. We have crypto but cant use them, because we cant change it in fiat. In germany we cant use SEPA-Transactions to transfer Fiat to exchanges. KYC must implemented first to meet special german laws. Many exchanges dont accepted german users because of that. Meanwhile there is an govs proposal that every wallet is forbidden, only state-licensed wallet-providers are allowed. In fact of that the exchanges are not allowed to transfer funds to other wallets. We have to verify our wallets, veryfi adresses, verify that our funds on that wallet and dont leave them. Otherwise you cant trensfer new funds to the wallet. Dont know when its forged in law but its near. I think so. When it happens then we are screwed. Some platforms already runs this, Austrian Bitpanda for example. You can register there, made KYC...but when you transfer only 1 Euro they want to know everything of your life. Really everything. And the result of the last colonoscopy too... And when you manage all that things then youre happy. Youre allowed to buy crpto there. Oh wait...if you want to sell that crypto there you have to verify where are the crypto from... Well... You have to verify the former owners of the crypto, because they are not from the exchange, they are from other cryptousers. VERIFY THEM! Its impossible. Many many users accounts there are frozen. And never get access back. Believe me. Thats the way govs will do it.

Is the the speed of the propagation even that important? OK let's go deep! Obviously for babylon things are still unshared but we have scrypto and radix engine etc. At xian that all changes of course, we have shards. This is were Cassie research comes in to pave the way. There is a strict philosophy in the design of Cassie that the application stack (scrypto et all) should be completely agnostic to sharding. It shouldnt even know they exist. There is no concept of local state or global state, there is just state and stuff to call. At the protocol level there's the execution and state models that sits above consensus. Only the state model is truely aware of the concept of sharding. The execution model just runs and complains to the state model if some state is needed and currently missing. Even cassie consensus isn't really aware of sharding at a fine granular level, its just told by the state model what state to get and who to get it from. Cassie consensus just orchastrates that all validators involved in a particular action are in agreement or not, ensures that any constraints are obeyed and passes the result back to the state model. The state model then either applies the state transitions or it doesn't, calling the application stack with the results of the updated state or exceptions etc. The state model also handles state locking or contention of state across shards. The demo highlighted above shows all that going on under the hood. The videos streaming, transactions to upload them, tweets, likes etc all interacting with each other. The application layer in cassie is a lot more basic and crude than scrypto, and for a reason. If all the above can be built with a very primitive application layer, imagine what can be built with a more expressive one. Fundamentally the above had been built with just 5 execution command which tell the state model what to do. GET, GET_EXISTS, GET_NOT_EXIST, SET, VERIFY The dapps which are built with html and java script ultimately interact with state via those 5 instructions. They too have no concept of sharding.
