Which again, has nothing to do with you saying its "dumping" every single day as it just steadily goes up for weeks now. For perspective, if 🌽 only went up as little as QQQ since 2023, it would only be worth 39k QQQ has done terribly compared to it
fuck it QQQ 600s tomorrow full port i give up

I, (26M, USA) currently have a full time job making around 60K, more than enough to cover my living expenses and save quite a bit per month (about $1000). I recently got an inheritence of $15K. I already have a 3 month savings cushion, no debt, and match my employer's 401k contribution. I want invest some of this money, maybe not all since my parter and I plan to get married in near future and will need some cash for that, I'm thinking 3-5K to invest. I'm really looking to get my feet wet with invetsting, I have never done it before but have read a bit so I know my best option is likely index funds. I really want to just set it and forget it, let it grow for a few years (5-7ish) and re - evaluate my position then, risk tolerance would be relatively low. I know the market is unpredicatable and all that, but I'm just not sure where to even begin. I've heard that VOO, SPY, QQQ are good options for index funds. Shoud I put all 3-5K in one? Should I spread it out evenly across a few? Any recommendations of which fund to go with or to not go with? Should i invest more than 3-5K knowing that I'll need a portion of it in 1.5 years? Any and all advice is welcome. show me differnt angles, I am also not opposed to setting up automatic recurring investments since I've heard sometimes it's better to do that instead of buying all stock at one price. Thanks in advance
It's simply criminal how QQQ is never on the big board
It's criminal how QQQ is never on the big board
This should be (and probably will be) a +30% year for QQQ even jf you just follow the earnings growth. Not even factoring in some multiple expansion
NVIDIA Holdimg QQQ on its back
QQQ is up almost $40 from the low on the first trading day of this month. Please never listen to the bad seasonality argument. It doesn’t exist
Are SPY and QQQ just gonna stay stuck in this stupid range for the rest of the day
And QQQ rejects it again…

triple top on SPY/QQQ on the daily?
at this point QQQ defies all logic, it just goes up and up and up
Don’t listen to all the haters. I would highly recommend not playing with options and just putting into an ETF like SPY or QQQ
Rip my Calendar Spread unless QQQ goes down .7%
Why did I stray from QQQ and try to buy calls on individual companies 😭
You all should buy QQQ at 600. Trust me.

NVDA back to carrying as most names fade off their highs but QQQ moves up lol. Also fuck you UNH, fading as SPY moves up.
Alright QQQ wrap the breather up already starting to look like you actually want to sell off for the rest of the day

God forbid QQQ go a day without a huge V shape recovery
At this point I will buy every fucking dip blindly in QQQ, free money glitch
….is it safe to make fun of bers again? My QQQ calls were down pretty badly before that V. Still looks a bit shaky
I bought Puts on QQQ with 9/19 exp. But I’m a poor so i cant sell due to PDT… I already used my first warning. Am i fucked? I guess I’m holding until tomorrow but goddamn this thing is volatile as fuck. 6 dollar increase overnight was insane.
SPY, QQQ, VXUS should be good places to start. Maybe IJR too for some small cap exposure
QQQ will we pinned around 582 (Max Pain) and SPX 6590 (Max Pain)
> dealers are sitting short gamma around key QQQ strikes Where did you come up with that idea? It's net long by a fairly large amount yesterday. Price up 1% this morning it's way out there now.
I'm one of the guys who disagreed with your premise. By the time the news reaches you, it's too late and you'll be getting crumbs at best. Do a side by side performance between your portfolio and VOO/QQQ and let us know how you are doing over a 10 year span
Upset I didn't buy QQQ at the bottom but at least I wasn't stupid enough to buy puts. Who the fuck bought puts yesterday when opex is tomorrow
I loaded up on some QQQ puts yesterday. It hurts
Credit spreads with high pop. I’m winning 90% of my trades. QQQ or SPY 0dte usually, after 10:30am. If you start to lose, close, revenge your way to net zero or profit, or roll. Just won 3 trades yesterday when the rate cut dip happened, waited for the recovery and then entered with an hour left before close for easy money.
Melt-up day, babe; QQQ target 600.
Close lol QQQ, TSM and meta lol
Bought SPY and QQQ ITM LEAPS when market dropped yesterday. Should have bought more, yikes
QQQ +1% pre-market. I have no words.
QQQ up +50% since the April lows lmao. Less than 150 days ago.
Buying QQQ calls 600c at open
just short btc. never participates much on upside, dumps 3x as fast as QQQ on downside
The holdings are practically identical to SPY and QQQ......
Open a Etrade rollover IRA account and roll the money over there - no taxes are triggered if you roll it over. Put all the money in the IRA into SGOV if you want high yield equivalent (4.2% atm) or into something that will grow if you’re not retiring in the next 10-15 years, like QQQ or VOO
I kept things compartmented. House/home improvements never came out of the nest egg. (Watch the Mel Brooks movie “Lost in America” for a definitive explanation of the nest egg). As you age you do want to consider rolling some of your funds out of an individual stock for risk management. No need to do it all at once. Also on the topic of risk, you should also look at your overall exposure to an individual company. I.e., owning QQQ and NVDA should be done intentionally with an eye on NVDA.
I'm 70. QQQM wasn't available when I first got into QQQ. That's still my single largest stock holding. I have a house and BTC but I bought QQQ decades ago and never sold any. You could do worse, much worse.
I understand your argument and I don't think you're necessarily wrong. But you could be. And you know you could be. If you go 50% VOO and 50% QQQ (or whatever split) you hedge. I'm much older than you are and let me be clear: sometimes you have a great thesis and you're still wrong. I wouldn't shove all-in on anything.
Am I reading that right? QQQ ATH overnight?
Take that money out and put it on the VOO or QQQ and not touch it till you are 65
To be fair, I'm a bull but still find ways to lose money (usually due to shitty stock selection and/or theta when I'm trading SPY or QQQ).
Almost a $10 move on QQQ since 2:30 on an outcome that had a 96% probability. Insanity
I hear. You’d probably do well to put everything into QQQ, but it’s risky as you’ve mentioned. Plus QQQ is due for a correction in the near term.
Yes haha, would love to automate this. If Robinhood actually has ladder options for QQQ someday it could be 2 clicks
Have you checked QQQ this evening? This thing is only going in one direction. Tech is the future my man
QQQ gonna gap up 5% tomorrow just to spite you.

Micron is the second biggest gainer in the QQQ YTD and it's never talked about here. Let's keep it that way.
Actually a good company. Made like $500 on a call I forgot about during their q2 earnings. My only worry is that they’re overtly optimistic about their Mexico expansion. Mexico is much more protective of their economy from outside investments. Anyone who has tried to bring their car from the US into Mexico knows this. But i also just got smoked on a 0DTE QQQ call so wtf do I know yolo I’m all in baby
I wake up my 2-week ban is lifted I race to WSB with my bros (all retards) I tell the bot to ban me if QQQ still exists in 3 hours And now my watch begins anew I wake up
QQQ probably hits $600 tomorrow
Because stocks don't always go up, they can go down too. Especially highly concentrated ones as you'd find in QQQ comapred to VT/VTI.
Stop watching the news. Investing is always gonna have downturns always. When you look at investing in a long term vision your fear and panic will go away. You can never ever go wrong with index funds and for someone like you who hasn't invested ever and wants a peaceful hands off approach that gives you great returns. You don't need a financial manager for this stuff. open an account with fidelity and set up monthly or weekly investing buying 3 tickers and just let it ride. VOO, VGT, QQQ. just buy and forget.
If you want my piece of advice: invest 1/4 in gold, 1/4 left in cash and start allocating 1/30 per month of the leftovers into stocks like SP500, QQQ, CHDVD, European ETFs, Japan, Pacific excluding Japan and emerging markets. Then, you're good to go. If you want specific tickers, you can DM me or write a question directly here in the comments, I'll be glad to share it with you
Recommend splitting between individual stocks and ETFs, but lean more towards ETFs. For Nasdaq exposure, look into QQQ (Invesco QQQ Trust) or VGT (Vanguard Information Technology ETF). These have low expense ratios and broad tech sector coverage. Your current individual stock picks are solid, but ETFs provide diversification and lower risk. Consider allocating 70-80% to ETFs and keeping 20-30% in individual stocks for potential higher returns.
they sold that absolute trash IWM smol cap 🧢 for big d QQQ and SPY 🕵️ #🦉
no, i sold calls against my QQQ, and they're basically at max profit. im upset because the fed continues to make dumb move after dumb move, and it's going to catch up to us some day.
Followed advice on a 595 QQQ 0TDE call gained 50% and lost 10% in about 7 seconds flat I only started options trading 2 months ago this is my first FOMC day i knew it was gonna be volatile but that was crazy
