While conducting research for AEye Inc, i came across another company with a ticker AEYE, the company is called AudioeEye and it helps companies updated their web platforms to better help disabled people. I dove into it and oh man this looks like a really undervalued company too. We should be hyping this one up as well! They are still microcap and have been growing consistently over the last two years. I think i may have just stumbled across an insane gem!! Let me know your thoughts! I think this is looking like a winner from every angle!!!!

It's one of several LiDAR companies innovating in the same space, with relationships with large automotive companies (LAZR, AEYE, MBLY, TSLA, GOOG all have their own LiDAR divisions). Betting on which one actually busts out with their proprietary hardware/software is a shell game.

r/pennystocksSee Comment

A penny stock is a stock that trades under $5.00. You want stocks that traded under $1.00 after 2015 that have "grown tremendously." That phrase implies steady growth not a jump in price. So let's ignore stocks like $DRUG. NVDA was .80 in 2015. <- Duh. GBTC was .61 CELH was .64 EXPI was .40 AEYE was .90 There are literally 100s.

Two plays I am eyeing right now are HUSA and ALPS. HUSA: Institution: 12.06%, Insider: 83.19%, Retail: 4.75% I think earnings were meh, but unless you are looking to hold for 10 years, I wouldn’t really care. Public float is at 9.43M, so not the best float for quick movement, but I’d rather have that on a play that I only have a hunch about. SI isn’t anything to brag about, but still could do damage if they were to cover. Looking to add maybe 25k or so. Stop loss will be 2.25 (bad stop loss), but PT would be $3 or higher. Take profits would be around $2.80, $3.00 and then would hold remaining for run. ALPS: I like the P/E ratio. Don’t like the run up, but overall the company seems decently solid. Heard they cancelled dividend and selling off some of their assets, but at the price it is now, I don’t see why not bet. Market cap is at $29.36M and public float of 20.03M, so I could see continued volatile movement. The chart just seems weird enough for me to consider a small 10k bet or so. I’m focusing on AI right now (AEYE, KWE, and CXAI-> for day trading only). Seems that AI may run next week, so not a bad bet. Just remembered a play called GRRR (Gorilla TECHNOLOGY). Dropped from a high of $10 down to now $2.73. The risk to reward ratio seems good if AI continues next week. NFA, but I want to show my thoughts if anyone is interested. I currently hold no positions (all cash), so seeing what to play. I have thoughts on AI, but this is already too long lol.

$0.6 for a despac would be pretty low. Below are the despac’d lidar companies and their market cap, common and warrant closing price as of last Friday. I think its important to note the market cap because CCAC/Quanergy deal as high as the ones made before during the spac craze. Its interesting that AEYE commons are highest but has the lowest warrants. We might see upward movement as merger nears completion, hopefully. I’m not simply listing all my holdings, these are just some my highest conviction for the long term. These companies involve a little more risk and speculation than what others on here may suggest, so just be mindful of that. Also you should look into adding a little HYLN as well. Just posted this link but thought it was relevant to the discussion. It’s by AEYE so biased but makes some good points about why FMCW approaches might struggle (most of the references are about Aeva so it’s pretty clear who they’re throwing shade at). https://www.aeye.ai/technology_papers/FMCW_vs_TOF_LiDAR.pdf Just for the record I think you’re an asshole, I knew the $100 by 2030 target but wasn’t aware they had put a $600 near term target, I’ve been more focused on technology the companies respective approaches. Aeva has done well recently, the market loves it, I’m just pointing out that long term I don’t think they’ll be as well positioned as the market currently thinks. Try debating instead of attacking next time.

Sure but with a ton of companies working intensely on similar software I really don’t see any reason to believe AEYE will be a market leader. I’m an HPC guy, this is essentially my profession (software, algorithms, ASICs and accelerators, etc) and I don’t see anything that sets these guys apart. AI sounds impressive to the average joe but the algorithms for ML have been around for decades. Really the only thing that sets ML companies apart is data. These guys are just using ML to downsample camera and lidar data, why are companies going to pay them exorbitant sums to use their software? 85% margins is just a number they pulled out of their ass, nobody currently uses their software and there’s no guarantee it will catch on. Have you even looked at competitors in the space? I haven’t really (and don’t plan to) but I remember seeing like 5 of Ouster’s partners working on similar software. All I’m trying to say is what makes you so confident they’ll succeed? What are they doing that nobody else can do? As far as I can tell the answer is nothing.

Mentions:#AEYE#AI
r/SPACsSee Comment

Yeah but LAZR was initially valued at $3B. Ouster initial valuation (at $10) of $1.9B, Aeva was similar, Innoviz was around $1.4B. All of those companies currently have either significant revenues or big partnerships. AEYE was given an initial valuation of $2.4B but doesn’t expect to have significant revenues for another 2 years. Ouster already has over 500 customers and a differentiated, patented approach. AEYE is honestly more of a software play, their hardware isn’t really differentiated at all and they don’t have any current lidar customers. After all of that, remind me again why AEYE deserves a premium valuation to Ouster?

I understand how PIPEs work, but implying that AEYE is fairly valued because otherwise continental, Intel, GM and Subaru overpaid is a logical fallacy.

I'm sorry, but what is NAV lol? If the max loss one can incur is .50 a share I feel like that's a pretty safe bet. What happens after merge though? Will the price per share change or will it just become the ticker for AEYE? If that is the case does the price have the potential to drop after it merges or is that unlikely? I completely agree with your point about it being overcrowded but being on the right horse when it is all said and done. That is a big part about why I made this discussion forum was for us Lidar Tech Bulls to communicate about possible "right horses"

My point is just that AEYE was given a premium valuation compared to peers which is insane because they’re simply not impressive in the space.

Mentions:#AEYE

I thought proforma was $3b on AEYE but maybe that was at the DA price, not interested enough to look into it. Sure, I get what you’re saying about the software business but that’s not unique, multiple other lidar companies including Ouster do similar things with their software. Sure $20m in current sales isn’t a lot, but it’s a hell of a lot more than $0. Especially with lidar, most customers start with small orders for development, then scale over multiple years (Ouster did $20m in sales last year but has over 500 customers). AEYE won’t have meaningful revenues for years.

Mentions:#AEYE
r/SPACsSee Comment

The valuation on AEYE was absolute shit. Just on a pure market cap perspective they were given 2x the valuation as VLDR, CLA, LAZR, IPV, etc. But it’s even more crazy because both their current and projected revenues are less than 1/4th of most competitors. They literally had 0 revenue in 2020 and don’t expect meaningful revenue this way either.

r/stocksSee Comment

I'm invested in $VERI, $PLTR and $TCEHY for AI exposure. I also came across the following that are in this space on the Canadian Venture exchange: $MTRX.V, $PAI.V/ $INOTF (OTC), $VQS.TO. AEYE is a MEMS approach, so same critique for Innoviz applies. They’re trying to do some stuff a bit different like down filtering data but I personally wasn’t overly impressed. I think they might do well in the near term but I just don’t think MEMS will be the most attractive technology in the future
