It’s not the worst RE gas (24ish-27 avg mpg in my experience) but I don’t exactly get much enjoyment from the engine in 35 mph zones. Their rapidly declining quality and exponentially increasing prices is certainly not helping. Especially when the Korean, Japanese, and even some of the US domestic brands are building much better vehicles with similar or better "premium" finishes at a more affordable price. Yes, the non-German cars will not handle the same, but the majority of buyer want the premium experience without the sky-rocketing price tag. I'm a German-car enthusiast. I've had a variety of Mercedes AMG, Audi, and Porsche over the years. Today, i have a very hard time recommended anything new from these brands.

Just wrong, Electric infrastructure in Germany is top level compared to other European countries. (Source: own experience) Electric sales have been stagnant from 2022-2024, but are now rising again at levels of around 20%. Sure, Norther European countries or China are way ahead, but its not too bad compared with other european countries. First-gen electric cars from Germany were pretty shit and expensive, i give you that. But the current gen is/will be very competitive: Mercedes CLA, VW ID7, Porsche Taycan, BMW Neue Klasse, AMG GT electric.

Sock that shit away, get a fee based financial planner to help if you want help, orherwise just max your roth, and slowly inject it into VSTAX, VTI, etc. Just sit on it and let it grow over the next 30 years and max that roth every year. Tap the non-roth stuff if you need loans for your education but try to leave as much invested if you can. Inject the money slowly over a year or two or all at once if the market tanks. Reason I say inject it slowly is because I think a downturn is coming, but who tf knows. I also have an AMG and a lot of designer shit so I feel you lol just wait until you can buy with cash you save from work.
I am 23 and got very lucky with gambling. I turned 2k to 600k and cashed out at 200k. Yes IK im very stupid for not pulling out at 600k but if I was playing safe I never would have got that much in the first place. So far with my money I thought about buying a nice car (AMG), designer clothes, other dumb shit until I realized I got blessed and odds of winning that much again are slim. This is based on a true story. A true story of price increases experienced, and dealt with first hand. I woke up and decided to go get breakfast from my favorite breakfast spot. I decided it’s Friday so I will drive the AMG today, but I had to fill up with premium gas. I stopped at the Starbucks next to the gas station because I like iced coffee and than finally drove to the breakfast place. There was a sign on the door that due to supply chain shortages there would be an additional $1 added to my bill. I ended up paying the price difference and went about my day.
It’s funny because now I never leave. We are on the top floor in a pent house suite in the biggest unit offered, Have 2 new trucks and an AMG, more shit than I know what to do with but I’ve never been more bored. Built up a business all year last year working 16 hours a day for almost the entire year straight, and now it’s resulting in 25k in passive income quarterly without me lifting a finger. I’m looking into new business ideas but not in a rush as the right thing will eventually come to me
