Asana (ASAN) - what do people think? Will it ever reach its ATH? I bought it at $130 per share ( close to ATH) and now it is $49 per share. Should I buy the dip, hold, or cut my losses and sell. I'm relatively new to investing and do mostly buy and hold forever. I'm not smart enough for options

ASAN is one of my favorite examples of vapid soulless corporate shite getting what it deserves. Micro-managing software should be federally banned.
ASAN is still insanely shorted while quietly building one of the most practical enterprise AI use cases out there. One real catalyst and this thing could squeeze hard. Don't you think ?
I'm genuinely surprised that almost nobody seems to see the opportunity in #ASAN. This is one of the few companies actually turning AI into something useful in real-world workflows, not just slapping “AI” on a product for hype. At this valuation, I think the market is massively underestimating what ASAN could become.
I bet #ASAN will skyrocket someday
What do you think about $ASAN
Watching $ASAN as a possible SaaS turnaround. It trades around 2.1x forward revenue, margins and free cash flow are improving, and RPO grew 23%. The main risk is 96% NRR, meaning existing customers are still spending less. My thesis: if retention returns toward 100%, the stock could rerate. If not, the low valuation is probably justified.
(First, I apologize — English is not my native language, so I used translation help for parts of this.). \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. The Core Fundamentals: Narrative vs. Reality The bear case on Asana for the last two years has been "Generative AI will replace mid-tier project management software," and that thesis pushed short interest to extreme levels. But Q1 FY2027 (quarter ended April 30, 2026, reported May 27–28, 2026) cuts directly against it: \* Revenue beat: $205.1M, up 9.5% YoY — above the high end of management's own guidance ($202.5M–$204.5M). \* EBITDA near breakeven: -$2.35M for the quarter (-1.1% margin), the narrowest loss in the company's history as a public company. \* Record non-GAAP operating margin: Non-GAAP operating income hit $23.6M (11.5% margin) — up from $8.1M (4% margin) in the same quarter last year. Company-confirmed record, +720bps YoY. \* GAAP losses shrinking fast: GAAP operating margin went from -23.4% to -7.4% of revenue YoY. \* Real cash generation: $40.2M in operating cash flow and $34.4M in adjusted free cash flow (17% of revenue) for the quarter. \* P/S aprox 2.2 (versus MNDY 3.10 | TEAM 3.7) \* EV/Sales 2.01 (versus MNDY 2.25 | TEAM 3.6) AI integration, not just AI talk: Asana closed the acquisition of StackAI ($75M upfront cash + equity earn-outs) the same day as earnings — a no-code AI-agent/workflow platform meant to let Asana's agents actually execute work across enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, ITSM), not just plan and track it. This isn't a "dying SaaS name." Margins, cash flow and GAAP losses are all moving in the right direction at the same time revenue is still growing high single digits. \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. The Share Structure: A Genuinely Illiquid Float This is the part most people screening on Finviz alone will get wrong, because Asana has a dual-class share structure: Class A common stock (ticker ASAN, the only class that trades): 164.36M shares — this is what Finviz shows as "Shs Outstanding," and it's correct for Class A, not for the company as a whole. Class B common stock (10 votes/share, converts 1:1 to Class A, almost entirely insider-held, does not trade): 69.54M shares. Total combined shares outstanding (per the 10-Q for the period ended April 30, 2026): 233.90M — this is the number used for market cap, EPS and the weighted-average-share figures you'll see on Yahoo Finance. Because only Class A trades, the relevant float for squeeze mechanics is the Class A float — and that's exactly what Finviz's short-interest stats are built on: \+ Insider ownership 60.47% Combined Class A + B, dominated by Dustin Moskovitz \+ Institutional ownership 44.84% \+ Public float (Class A) 91.12 M Shares \+ Short Interest 32.15 M Shares \+ Shoar Float 35.32% \+ Days to cover aprox. 5 days So: insiders control \~60% of the company, the free float is \~40% of total shares, and over a third of *that specific Class A float* is sold short. That's the setup — not an error in Finviz's data, just a dual-class structure most retail screeners don't account for. So: insiders control \~60% of the company, the free float is \~40% of total shares, and over a third of that specific Class A float is sold short. That's the setup — not an error in Finviz's data, just a dual-class structure most retail screeners don't account for. Dustin Moskovitz is no longer Asana's CEO. He stepped down in July 2025; Dan Rogers (formerly of ServiceNow) is now CEO, and Moskovitz moved to Board Chair. He's still by far the dominant shareholder — his last Schedule 13D/A (August 2025) showed \~129.8M shares, roughly 58% on an as-converted basis, and he's continued buying on the open market under a 10b5-1 plan since. The 60.47% "insider ownership" figure is mostly him, just not in the CEO seat anymore. Asana has an active buyback program of approximately US$199.4 million (expanded in February 2026) on Class A shares—the only class that can be borrowed. If the company continues to repurchase shares, it mechanically reduces the loanable float, which puts pressure on short sellers over time, regardless of the price. Asana tiene posición de caja neta positiva (157 millones USD) \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. The Structural Asymmetry (Days to Cover) With average daily volume of 6.70M shares, the short ratio sits at 4.81 days — it would take nearly five full sessions of pure buying volume for current shorts to cover, and that's before accounting for how little of the float is actually liquid given \~60% insider/Class B control. Technically, the stock is base-building: price is above both the 20-day (+1.1%) and 50-day (+11.0%) moving averages, while still well below the 200-day (-28.7%) — consistent with an early-stage recovery off the 52-week low ($5.38), with the stock currently around $7.43 (52-week high $15.71). \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion ASAN's setup: a founder-chairman who still controls roughly 60% of the company, fundamentals (margins, EBITDA, FCF) that directly invalidate the "AI kills Asana" bear case, and a heavily crowded short position concentrated in a structurally thin Class A float. I'm not playing this for a momentum pump — I'm here for the structural turnaround and the mechanical squeeze risk that shows up if/when valuation starts to catch up to the fundamentals. \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Positions 1. Spot: 5% of total portfolio in common shares. 2. Options: LEAPs — $ASAN calls expiring 2028. Disclaimer: Not financial advice. Do your own research.
$ASAN is possibly the stock with the best setup for a short squeeze. 35% of the float is shorted, but 60% is held by insiders (mainly Dustin), meaning almost the entire net float is shorted. The company's numbers are good and improving quarter by quarter. I want to publish a thesis, but my aura is low and the admin won't let me.
Look at $ASAN .. numbers are not bad, very high short (35%) float and the insiders (Dustin ex founder de META) has almos 60% of shares.
My trades today (mostly closed at this point): NVDA: Jumping in on the surge after the chip deal with Microsoft MSFT: See above ADBE: I had placed an order overnight for shares at $265 and I have no idea how I got them as I don't think I even saw the moment that popped up lol. Still has room to run until $300. ASAN: One of the best looking software charts that had yet to run. TEAM: Had already run, but the chart looked pretty free and clear until $120-$125 sitll so I jumped in for a day trade. INFQ: Quantum stock that had yet to run. Had a 12% pop today. Still could go up a bit more, but that was the easy money. All together, one of my best trading days of the year. Every single trade printed by end of day, most at 5-10%, which feels good looking at the heat map. You don't get to enjoy many days with all winners.
ASAN now an AI stock?!
If you see this, take a look at ASAN
Would like to see a software follow-through today ASAN MNDY TEAM etc. Will see how SPCE acts out the open, might jump in for the fun of it
Might want to pay attention to ASAN today
Tell me how ASAN puts isnt just free money? Does anyone still use this SaaS crap
Every beat down small cap software company should be milking this market right now and making similar announcements. There's so many that were crushed from 2021 hights like APPS, ASAN, CMRC, AI, etc that could jump like this. Get on it.
Absolutely insane, I was just looking at this and ASAN. I think this is a huge mistake, but godspeed you magnificent wanker
I bought a bit of MNDY and TEAM in January around the last big drop off, I also considered ASAN but decided to hold off - their growth is just not there, and they’re still not profitable in a GAAP basis. I can get behind unprofitable tech companies that are still growing well, but if they’re not growing and they’re not profitable they really don’t have any thing to look forward to. Things aren’t going to get easier in this industry, I think it’s time to cut this one loose man. There are other better companies out there.
Focus on the smaller picture. What’s making gains in a depressed/fake market correction? $ASAN released their quarterly results outlining the last half of the year they started using AI and their revenue has jumped making their Q1 results likely a record for them

Force a squeeze on $ASAN 😎
#TLDR --- **Ticker:** ASAN **Direction:** Up **Prognosis:** Buy Shares / LEAPS (Targeting Moskovitz's buy average of ~$14) **Catalyst:** Pivot from "Human Seats" to "AI Agents" via Anthropic partnership **Founder Conviction:** 55% Ownership (Moskovitz is essentially privatizing it in public)
ASAN was over $141! Now it is $7.53! HOOD was over $150! Now it is $71.12 COIN was over $444! Now it is $141.09! Oh my...
ASAN babyyyy!!! check options flow
$ASAN. Billionaire founder. Recently retired and has been away for a few months now. Company is deep in AI. But struggling. Just a matter of time before there is a huge cash infusion. Stock was at $140 at ATH. At $10 now.
$ASAN = **Autistic Self Advocacy Network** ?
I've made a few comments below as you can see, but $VMEO and $ASAN were the biggest hits. Quadrupled down on both...
$VMEO and $ASAN were the killers...
Have never made an option trade (don't even know how) -- mostly $VMEO and $ASAN
\#VMEO and $ASAN were biggest losers...
Opinions on Figari (FIG) and Asana (ASAN)? Both took a pretty good dip yesterday, dipped bit more this morning.
What’s up with the SaaS stocks dying. TEAM WIX ASAN MNDY etc
wonder if $ASAN gaps up or flat

In addition to what other guy said- stuff like WDAY, TWLO, ASAN, DOCU, TDOC and ABNB not SaaS but similarly lumped in there. Several like TWLO, WDAY and DOCU have very decent businesses, Companies I’ve worked in always use them,

Alright ASSHOLES! You wanna make some money! Here are my plays: * $ASAN 🐻 | 20 Sep ATM PUT @≈$12–$14 — play the 85% IV crush on this SaaS dumpster fire. * $NIO 🐂 | 13 Sep ATM CALL @≈$7–$9 — bet on the EV hype train derailing post-earnings. * $LULU 🐻 | 20 Sep 190 PUT @≈$8–$10 — actual downside play from $202 spot, retail puke incoming. * $PD 🐻 | 20 Sep ATM PUT @≈$6–$8 — SaaS turd ready to dump and vaporize IV. **Exit at +100% or -50%.** These are pure **volatility** plays, GTFO from the trades, don't fall in love with direction.
$ASAN, premium is quite high, earning next week, risky though.
Just did a little research on which stocks are most likely to crash during their next earnings report. So far ASAN, CRM, and maybe ADBE are good candidates according to ChatGPT
theoretically all of them. But especially the hyper valued ones with no moat. MNDY HUBS ASAN WDAY
lol yup. On the other hand I bought EXEL at $22 and it went down to $14 but now it’s at $37. Always thought that one was a piece of shit compared to ASAN.
IMy current stinker is ASAN bought it years ago at $26 and watched it do a planantir style run to $140+, now down 48% on it, oof.
Maybe they can find another vertical to keep growth rates higher than I expect, but based on market reaction right now I struggle to see how it doesn’t end up with an ASAN or PATH like chart.
Remember ASAN? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
The buy sell ratio for the s&p is 0.22. The historical average is 0.42, so it’s a bearish signal. But OSCR, UNH, CNC, EVVTY, and ASAN had a lot of net buying in the last 3 months. [https://www.gurufocus.com/economic_indicators/4359/insider-buysell-ratio-usa-overall-market](https://www.gurufocus.com/economic_indicators/4359/insider-buysell-ratio-usa-overall-market)
Nobody tell this guy what the CEO of ASAN has been doing 🤫
Agree 💯! If I had the cash I would go all in. All of it is in SYTA/LION/CLBR/CALC currently. I have 3 cents left. I would also do MOGO and BCTX and if your a baller ASAN
No position in the company, but it’s interesting how much the CEO of ASAN loves buying the stock lol http://openinsider.com/ASAN
t could be ok. They are improving their free cash flow. Still not positive yet but, it is actually harder to reduce cost in 2025 than say 2020 and they are doing it. Look to me you bought the top of shor term spike. What is your cost basis? [https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/ASAN/asana/free-cash-flow](https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/ASAN/asana/free-cash-flow) https://preview.redd.it/y6lzsoh5e57f1.png?width=797&format=png&auto=webp&s=85e903e8a0897997ffa9f7cfe32869a45688c3a2 This is what I found about Asana compare to its competition: **Asana is known for its clean interface and ease of use, making it suitable for teams of various sizes and project types.** [**Monday.com**](http://Monday.com)**, on the other hand, offers more visual and customizable boards, making it a good fit for teams that prefer a highly adaptable and visual workspace, especially for complex projects.** Take the following statement with a grain of salt. The company is co-founded by Dustin Moskovitz, who holds a 53% stake, and Justin Rosenstein—both of whom have strong track records in the tech world. I'm cautiously optimistic that with leadership like this, there’s potential for a turnaround. It doesn’t seem like a policy-fueled meme stock scenario, unlike others I've been burned by, such as SolarEdge or Enphase. That said, whether it’s a long-term hold depends on how well you understand the company. I don’t have in-depth insight [intoMonday.com](http://intoMonday.com) or Asana, but if you’re thinking of investing, take time to explore their product and roadmap first
They sure are, but a very excellent tool overall. If you're not already, get into using them against your commons port. Very big returns even just being semi-active, and you can keep exposure to general market and equities you like (or want to get into). It's a much slower (and boring, for us here) burn but also a lot smarter. Toss your megamillions lotto ER's out once in awhile and have a little fun. This round I had decent lotto payouts on BOX and AMSC, set money on fire with ASAN. ASAN unironically kept me out of GTLB because it's otherwise one I would have structured some kind of bullish-leaning lotto on.
I'm going to hold for now. I had a good week, buying ASAN puts yesterday and selling, then buying the NBIS calls at noon yesterday and selling in the afternoon. I rolled into more NBIS calls. Let's see if it will crack $50/share

BASE, ASAN when i "biggie size it" tomorrow, hopefully it's in front the Wendy's counter. not behind the dumpster.
Bro what? I've bought everything from ASAN (owned by the #1 donor to the DNC) to DJT, to TSLA. I've also shorted a few of the above companies at various points. Neither buying them or shorting them has nothing to do with my emotional opinion towards any of the above companies. It's not like the $100k I drop on various stocks will move the needle at all.
I just ton of $ASAN wish me luck
So what's the predicted gain on ASAN puts with a 270%+ IV? Like 50%?
Any hope for ASAN? Doesn't look too bad if you move the decimal point to the left
