OPEN today is almost exactly where GME was on Monday, January 25th 2021, when it opened at $24.18, hit a high of $39.80, and closed at $19.20. Both had a daily RSI above 90, both had their CMF cross below 0 (which is bearish, but GME jumped the next day back above 0), both had hit a high that was roughly the same multiples above recent lows (GME x8, OPEN x7ish) with a huge intraday drop. 3 days later, GME hit a high of $120.75

Similar rate of price increase (to daily high) from recent lows to this point for both, similar RSI, almost identical dip and close on CMF. GME doubled multiple times up from here. Legit think there’s still a long way to go.

TRADING ALERT: For technical chart readers, be advised that there is a gap in the chart from mid-November at $4.20. Not saying that RCAT is going to fill that gap but would not be surprised to see it happen. If it does fill that gap, it will probably be intraday and bounce. And could bounce back hard. See the gap? The Chaikin Money Flow CMF continues to show money coming IN to the stock. Anyone who bought at much higher prices who have not sold yet may want to consider averaging down after the earnings call. Especially if that gap is filled in the next few days. Just a trader's opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. https://preview.redd.it/dpytpbz7i9re1.png?width=990&format=png&auto=webp&s=63c1bd83890fc150185d4448c963884fef719efc

>The money flow index (not CMF) on SPY peaked at 89 on Thursday - pushed into overbought territory by news of China's stimulus plans - and is starting to roll over. On the major indices, MFI usually breaches 80 for merely a few days before sharply reverting down. Where do you get the data for this? Appreciate your insights as usual. I'm hoping for a nice correction to happen soon!

I recommend anyone who uses options should run a SPY strangle for October 1. The confluence of several different factors indicates there's a lot of potential upside. **Catalysts** * The JOLTS report comes out on October 1. In terms of premarket and intraday movement, it is the biggest and most reliable market mover out of all government reports. A basic strangle makes profit around 83% of the time (i.e. 83% of the time, SPY moves up/down more than 0.6% from its previous day's price). * The International Longshoremen's Assocation strike is simultaneously set to occur. Unless the ILA postpones in order to restart negotiations, its members will walk off their jobs when the master contract expires at midnight on September 30th. * We're going to see if Hezbollah responds to Israel's strikes on Beirut with more than posturing. Besides the Red Sea blockade, U.S. equities haven't priced in Middle East conflict; it's been irrelevant to every sector except aerospace & defense. But what happens if Hezbollah-Israel becomes a hot war instead of a policing campaign like Hamas-Israel? Both the U.S. and Iran will be compelled to intervene. **Galvanizing Factors** * The money flow index (not CMF) peaked at 89 on Thursday - pushed into overbought territory by news of China's stimulus plans - and is starting to roll over. On the major indices, MFI usually breaches 80 for merely a few days before sharply reverting down. * As I mentioned earlier this week, this rally has been built on the low volume typical for September. This has led to a thin top-of-book and as we can see [here](https://imgur.com/a/PmVqQQb), bid-ask spreads are wide from a historical and absolute angle. Note how bid-ask spreads widen when the market hiccups and stay low during long periods of upwards movement; the correlation is very strong. * In accordance with the above, volatility has jumped back up from 11-12 in the spring to 15 as its new short-term support. We saw it counterintuitively spike on Friday when options expiration would typically drive it down. Maybe it's pricing in Israel's escalation against Hezbollah alongside domestic worries, not sure. Geopolitical events often don't matter to the market until they decide it matters. * Total margin balances started dropping in August after stalling since May. This is most likely due to Fed reserve balances falling and post-July deleveraging from the yen carry trade. This might be a blip if [S&P 500 market cap wasn't at its highest level versus margin balances in 25 years](https://imgur.com/cKRiDCE).

**🦹‍♀️ Triple Witching info nugget 9:** How else can my nuggets help you? If you're a trader who relies on any volume-based indicator (or any indicator that can be affected by sudden price action, really) for your trading strategy, you should be aware that Triple Witching days will likely skew the data. On-Balance Volume (OBV), Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP), Chaikin Money Flow (CMF), unusual volume scans, Relative Volume (RVOL), Volume Moving Averages, Dollar Volume, Relative Strength Index (RSI), Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), etc. are bound to get thrown off. Also, allow some room for weirdness if you play support and resistance levels or trade based on the options Greeks. When it comes to selecting indicators for trading, it's crucial to find the ones that align with your trading style, objectives, and the assets you're trading. Here's a breakdown of some popular indicators across different categories: 1. **Trend Following Indicators**: Moving Averages, MACD, Ichimoku Cloud, etc., help identify trends and potential entry/exit points based on trend direction. 2. **Momentum Indicators**: RSI, Stochastic Oscillator, CCI, etc., gauge the speed and strength of price movements, indicating potential overbought or oversold conditions. 3. **Volume-Based Indicators**: OBV, CMF, MFI, etc., analyze trading volume to confirm price trends or identify potential reversals. 4. **Volatility Indicators**: Bollinger Bands, ATR, etc., measure the degree of price fluctuation, aiding in setting stop-loss levels or identifying breakout opportunities. 5. **Cycle Indicators**: DPO, STC, etc., help identify cyclical patterns in price movements, useful for swing trading or identifying trend reversals. 6. **Oscillators**: Aroon Oscillator, Ultimate Oscillator, etc., oscillate between predefined levels to signal potential buy or sell opportunities. 7. **Price Action Indicators**: Pivot Points, Fibonacci Retracement Levels, etc., identify key support and resistance levels based on historical price data. 8. **Sentiment Indicators**: VIX, Fear and Greed Index, etc., gauge market sentiment and investor psychology, providing insights into potential market reversals. 9. **Market Breadth Indicators**: Bullish Percent Index, etc., measure the participation of stocks in a market trend, indicating the overall health of the market. 10. **Cycle and Seasonality Indicators**: STI, Seasonal Patterns, etc., analyze recurring patterns or seasonal trends in price movements. Ultimately, the effectiveness of an indicator depends on how well it fits into your trading strategy, how accurately it signals potential opportunities, and how effectively you interpret its signals in real-time market conditions. It's advisable to experiment with different indicators, combine them, and refine your strategy based on your trading experience and goals.

Several navies are already part of international operations to protect shipping lanes in the region, including protecting vessels from pirates who for several years disrupted shipping off the coast of Somalia. The missions include: - Operation Atalanta, set up by European Union Naval Force Somalia (EUNAVFOR), operates off the Horn of Africa and in the Western Indian Ocean to support U.N. resolutions to protect the seas from piracy. Its headquarters is in Spain. - Operation Agenor is a European-led operation which aims to guarantee freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a major shipping lane for oil exports from Gulf states. - Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) is a multinational maritime partnership led by the U.S. from Bahrain, the based for the U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet. CMF has 39 members, including NATO and European states, regional countries and other nations. One of its missions is the Combined Task Force 153 (CTF 153), which operates in the Red Sea. "

Umm… NVDA doesn’t make their own chips, their supplier is TSM. GOOG has their own custom made AI chips, so NVDA’s main AI customer would be MSFT. If U take a look at the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) for NVDA, its easy to see that the Smart Money is not jumping on the AI Hype bandwagon…

This is a good, reasonably in depth write up: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jimvinoski/2021/08/31/has-origin-materials-cracked-the-code-on-carbon-negative-plant-based-plastics/ In a nutshell: They make a chemical building block called CMF using waste wood instead of fossil fuels. CMF can be used to make a lot of different stuff, but the path of least resistance is PET plastic. The result is chemically identical and cost competitive even when oil was less than half the price it is today. So manufacturers don't change anything, they don't pay more, they just buy from Origin and they're magically "greener". They have huge partnerships in place already, and they've signed something like $4.3B in agreements with customers already, but they still have a $700m market cap. Their first plant is ahead of schedule and due to come online this year. They also just announced their second plant location along with securing $100m in incentives and $400m in nearly free financing: https://investors.originmaterials.com/news-releases/news-release-details/origin-materials-announces-geismar-louisiana-location-second/

ORGN - They make a chemical building block called CMF which can be used to make a lot of stuff, including plastic. They're able to produce it from wood residue instead of fossil fuels, so it's both green and cost competitive with the fossil fuel stuff. They have already sold essentially all future capacity for the next 5 years and are currently trading at about 15% of those future contracts. TA is how he saw that. My gut says they weren’t going for the yolo so much as a scalp that turned really green. You can trade 0DTE scalps in and out for huge gains if you know what your doing. Breaking down the trade this is what I see. There is a historical pivot point around 510.67. Look at the accumulation from July 2020 through Sept 2021. Then the spike, and retracement back down. A bounce would be expected in this area. What you can see on the 4 day chart is a range between the 510.67 pivot and the 526.76 pivot. Those pivots provide the low and high side of the channel. On the daily, you can see that massive dip from 610 to 510, and yet the CMF (money flow) shows that someone has slowly been buying that dip. Additionally, the previous days open was around $535, that provides a nice target of where the stock could go back to. Thursday the stock dropped, then Friday it consolidated into the pop. Nice trade u/dense-balance-6041 ballsy with the 0DTE, but you read it right!

Yes! It needs to close above 14.20 which is the last volume shelf. The volume shelf will then act as a launching pad. BMTX's ATH is 18.35 but it is very thin between there and 14.20 (I use TrendSpider) so there won't be many sellers. It was very volatile for a shortened day on Friday and showed that it doesn't take much to move it, just needs volume. Despite the volatility, RSI and CMF remained the same. I am a little worried about the increasing attention towards PTPI/AGC/ATER on this page. They are WAY below their peak and I sense people are promoting it in hopes for a rise in price just to dump their stock and take less of a loss. I'm planning to re-evaluate my BMTX call options on 12/3 if there isn't a pop by then.

r/ShortsqueezeSee Comment

Long post but I'm excited someone is finally mentioning BMTX!! Low float is often associated with poor quality which is definitely not true with this company. It reminds me a lot of SOFI, especially with the bank merger that was just announced last week. First Sound Bank is a very reputable community bank here in the Seattle area. I usually just play large cap options but the way this stock has been moving has made me invest in a good amount of December calls and regular stock shares. Currently, CMF is -.199 which is showing some accumulation. RSI is 61.98 - it has been dragged down due to OPEX last Friday. Q3 earnings had a huge surprise profit... the profit is great, but I also love that earnings is out of the way (i.e. a sell the news event). The recent volume and float is what REALLY excites me though!!! From my research, I agree with others in that after the institutions, the float is about 3M. Last Thursday's volume was 2.45m!! This stock has been super resilient on red days, and loves to pop AH and PM. From a technical standpoint, this stock reminds me of IONQ's recent run. IONQ has a float about 135m, with much of that locked up by institutions/early investors (Google). That exploded to $35 and BMTX's float is WAY smaller. I have much more to say about this company but my December 3rd price target is $35 (replicating IONQ) and if this really catches steam then $65-$75 (would only be a pop, not a long term PT (similar to IRNT) - these numbers are based on volume and float, not so much on how the company should be valued long term). This holiday week might be the perfect environment for parabolic action as the institutions are taking extended vacations - retail traders could really be in charge! (I chose Dec 3rd as my deadline because a lot of large funds tend to close out year end around December's OPEX and I don't like to hold my calls until expiration.)

I'm foreseeing CGC and HEXO are gonna reverse their downtrend in the near term. While prices have been making new lows, MACD and CMF have both been making new highs, that's a divergence of both trend and momentum from price action. Suggesting the selling pressure is weakening. The issue being of course there's no price support within the last 52 weeks for both of our stocks. It could keep drilling for quite some time until a catalyst drives the reversal. HEXO with it's 0.4 P/B being an especially strong rebound candidate as compared to CGC. HEXO with its 0.4 P/B being an especially strong rebound candidate as compared to CGC. odwill to hike up the expenses to fud the numbers but HEXO's impairment by the percentage of operating expenses is significantly lower than CGC's which gives me more confidence in their company turning it around through its recent acquisitions. We should see how it plays out some time on the 28th of October. Everyone hold onto your ass.

The lower the stock's been going the stronger the dips have been bought. Means more people are confident at these lower prices. Then there's also a divergence between the strock price trending down from like $230 or so down to where we are, while the CMF is trending up, meaning money is flowing in, not out, at these lower prices. Compare that the the 1d chart of RIDE. It sells off from $13-14 down to $5 and there is no noticeable spikes in buy volume, or no volume spikes at all, in the dips. https://imgur.com/CYxOWUw See how money flow is trending down with the stock price? Actually, it's even trending down as the stock was shooting up in the $14 price range.

Because there’s more than 3 datapoints. The stock isn’t sitting static for 3 months then suddenly dropping $10 in a day. So, we have a 4th datapoint in the trend line. You don’t have to draw anything. You can literally see it on the chart. And that’s just what we can see in the image. We could add a 200EMA or MACD or 21-period CMF to confirm the downtrend. If you know any of Cardwell’s stuff, you can use RSI to confirm the downtrend. We can check the news and see that there’s literally nothing positive out or even rumored. It’s literally just copium repeatedly insisting the price has to bottom *some*time. We could do some divergence analysis looking for signs of reversals, or look for reversal candlestick patterns, or look for reversal chart patterns. There’s absolutely nothing to back a prediction that BABA is going to reverse or even bottom out and consolidate any time soon. At that point, you’re using 3 data points to confirm what every other possible valid signal is saying. Technical trading isn’t about producing high confidence trades or high win rates. It’s about using risk management to cut off losers early and letting the winners run. You don’t need high win rates for that. You need a system that when it does win, it wins big (relative to your goals). You can go broke chasing 90% win rates. You can get rich with 10% win rates. The datapoints are meaningless. Risk management is what actually matters.

Yes, was touching upon muni bonds. I did look into CMF, it's yield was about 2.5% last year, but tends towards 4% usually. With a ER of 1.2% or so, that just about covered inflation last year. But yes, tax free for someone in cali.

VTIP is good for short-term inflation-protected treasuries. VCSH is good for short-term corporate bonds. You seem to be describing municipal bonds with that tax advantage. CMF is okay if you live in California, but most municipal bond funds have higher expense ratios and lower yields than you see elsewhere.

So it’ll be off right now because of the weekend, but I go by premium vs cash secured then decide based upon a number of factors, like IV, earnings, and my own technical analysis. Mind you I’m a licensed broker and been investing for almost 15 years now so I’ve been lucky (or unlucky if you want to view it that way) to learn how to get fucked by the Great Recession. Basically it goes like this right now for AMC. 1. Earnings AH on Monday 2. IV for end of week and following week showing 180+% 3. account for IV crush after earnings 4. how much am I willing to pay per share vs premium? 5. what can happen that would be a black/gray swan? Think how now people are worried about the delta variant, but also how other companies are pushing back their return to building stuff. 6. there’s a lot more but here are the chart studies I personally use… 50 & 200 exponential moving averages, MACD, WilliamsPercentageR, RSI, ChaikinMoneyFlow(CMF)…. Can’t go over all of those here, please look into investopedia. Most other studies are alternatives and derivatives of this, don’t try to get technical with bullshit, there’s only really like 3 indicators basically in flows in/out, momentum, volume based If I’m looking at the August 13th put options at $25-30 because I think the stock might drop I might do 1:3 each of $30, 27, 25 and just see where it goes because I want to buy at those levels. Alternatively, Aug 20th could be tasty because I just want to get the premium on those strikes and view it as likely going up by then but IV crush taking plenty out based upon earnings and monthly options. Lots more, one of these days i might actually explain shit better, but I’m not paid for it and I’m too lazy to do this regularly so I enjoy interacting with people like you who might give a fuck what I’m saying Best regards, TL

%b under 0.2 and MFI under 20 signals Bollinger trend following aka the start of a downtrend that rides the lower band. And MFI(10) is currently 4.48. So, no, the stock can totally go down. A negative CMF confirms the downtrend.

It’s has an ebitda of -2.25 mil and the only p/e or p/b ratio info I can find says it’s 0. Which is impossible with an ebitda that far under 0. A massive float for a tiny market cap, very little insider ownership and no institutional ownership to speak of. Price just exited a Bollinger Squeeze heading down with A/D and CMF both under 0. Despite that, neither RSI nor MFI are showing oversold. ADXR is under 10. Stochastic is heading down. MACD is heading down. This is an absolutely horrible DD. Because it’s not a DD. It’s a transparent attempt to get this sub to help some schlub offload some bags.

Confirmed Hindenburg Omen. Combined with MACD crossover and CMF downtrend on the S&P. Nothing is perfect and a big pullback could bounce back to prior highs before rolling over again. I do think 2022 is going to be an ugly year for the market. The best advice is not to get too greedy in a long bull market.

The best thing about WISHtards is you guys will sell as it goes sideways to down. Then it rockets and you buy at the top. Do it different this time. Buy CLNE now before it pops(CMF, BB, and Stochastic look bullish) then exit after it pops and return to WISH BEFORE it runs again, not buying the top of the run.

r/wallstreetbetsSee Comment

CMF shows all these CLNE dips are being bought. It's institutional investors shorting it down, acquiring as many shares near $11 as they can get, then letting it rise. When the volume picks up they won't be able to hold it down and will have to acquire at a higher price.

The 1D+ MACD is pulling up towards a cross over. OBV has also cross it's average and is showing accumulation. CMF reaching towards positive. Literally could happen as soon as next week. I expect it to happen within a month.

Gamestop: I did technical analysis and found this. MACD crossed 19 March 2021 generating a sell signal and has not crossed back over to generate a buy, and is pretty far away from that. RSI (Relative Strength Index) and CMF (Chaukin Money Flow) are both sloping downward, both signs of a bearish pattern. I was also able to draw a channel and came up with supports at $119.50 and $100.50 and if those fail the next support is $41.50. Resistance hits at $193 and $243. Given all that, if you day trade or hold Gamestop, protect yourself either with stop losses or options to sell.

If investing, you look at fundamentals such as price to earnings ratio, price to sales, debt to equity, current ratio, dividend payments, sales growth, quarterly earnings, analyst ratings, etc. In other words, things you find on financial statements. If you are wanting the buy point to day trade, you consider things such as the 9 EMA, 21 EMA, 50 and 200 SMA (Simple Moving Average), MACD line relative to its signal, Momentum (Williams%R is the one I prefer), RSI (Relative Strength Indicator), CMF (Money Flow Indicator), price trends plotted using software such as [stockcharts.com](https://stockcharts.com) which I use for all of the above technical analysis for day trading. If you are swing trading, which is buying and holding for a few days to few weeks, you do a bit of both. Therefore, you can see there is in simple answer to an appropriate price point to buy any stock.

Usually it tracks the price pretty well, buying pressure means stonks go up. Sometimes it doesn't. You'll see a drop in buying pressure but things stop moving. Usually this means that you'll get a drastic move afterwards due to buying pressure returning and a lack of selling pressure, or additional selling pressure moves the price down hard.

I really hope AACQ works out, I work in the industry and hate how bad for the environment we are. But looks like a one trick pony, page 42 of their presentation lays out their business plan and it's basically get the current plant up and running, make a limited amount of CMF & HTC monomers, and hope they can sell out to someone like Indorama. Otherwise they have a long road to get up to commercial scale volumes which they allude to with the first real commercial scale site site coming online in 2025. The site they are building now is a small scale demonstration site and doesn't have the logistics infrastructure to scale up to commercial volumes. With that said, if they have the tech to turn PET resin into a carbon negative product that we can landfill, then they have a goldmine.

They used to believe in bioreactors for transforming biomass (rather hard to make profitable) then transitioned to this recently. I don't do chemistry anymore but the joke was that you put green chemistry in all your research papers as a matter of fact because that's what got you the grants despite the science itself being the same it always was. Understand that this might still be very profitable if the process is well done but this will not capture a bazillion market share. If our economies transition into green economies we need to do away with plastic in as many applications as possible not greenwash it.
