Losing more money on an iron condor 3-call option than was stated as the max loss???
Help. Robinhood, losing more money on iron condor than was stated as the max loss when purchasing
Thinking of buying DBX? Maybe you should read this first.
Correct thesis on a company, not getting rewarded
Drop Box . DBX is under valued. I’ve been asking this question to myself I think a lot of people use drop box the utility of it is amazing. From cloud storage to using it to save files to games etc. I’ve done some DD and I feel like the stock is really undervalued anybody else feel the same way?

Was looking at the DBX myself. Realistically should buy a lot more things before I buy that
Bleh. I think I stand by what I said. It's only been two years and DBX is now trading at an even more attractive valuation of 8.5x cashflows. Earnings are not growing, but the valuation is continuing to improve. If it goes back to it's previously 13x FCF valuation then you'd be looking at a similar return to AAPL over that two year period. While AAPL in that two years has reaccelerated earnings and their valuation has expanded. Maybe AAPL can sustain that growth (I wouldn't bet against them), but it's a very full valuation imo. If DBX see growth reaccelerate it could easily 2-3x. If they can just hold earnings then you'll probably be looking at a decent 8-9% annual return. I suppose it also depends on what "underperform" means given the entire software sector has taken a beating over the last year... I was wrong, but not sure about "dead wrong". It's always easy to leave comments like this after the fact.
Or crab walk for eternity like DBX
Ohhh lol you work at DBX. This makes more sense.
Uhhh ml engineer here. DBX cursor user. If snowflake is your jam then you’re the one talking from a distance from AI LOL but you do you, sql monkey.
Can't believe BOX and DBX are still around LOL

36% YTD RKLB, AMD, NVDIA, GOOGL,APPLE,UBER,CRM, DBX. Kept buying for couple of years, small amounts, long positions. Recently opened 2 small positions in CRWV. Only one stinker WBD brought 2 years ago which i sold last month on the Paramount bid news when the prices pushes past 30. Got rid of it on 15% loss.
For all my ghey bers, who still have cash or margin to buy poots, may I present a well-researched list of analyst SELLs and 12 month target prices (CFRA, MorningStar): Celcius CELH $46 > $35 Darden DRI $204 > $187 Dominos DPZ $485 > $404 Dropbox DBX $28 > $20 GoDaddy GDDY $165 > $150 Martin Marietta Materials MLM $585 > $485 Packaging Corp PKG $206 > $148 Sherwin-Williams SHW $340 > $296 Solar Edge SEDG $27 > $12 TD Bank TD $75 > $50
No, I'm not asking you about the returns, that's exactly the shortsightedness I'm trying to point out. I'm asking you about your decision making process. Everyone thinks "I 2x my account, that's awesome". No, it's not awesome. Not by a long shot. You were *lucky* that the market went up like crazy and a lot of things doubled. You actually did pretty bad, because AMZN is one of the worst performers among the tech companies. Vast majority of people who say they can pick stocks are fooling themselves. It's all luck. There was no reason not to pick AMZN, because it's an awesome company - as shown by it doubling its value - but if you're happy with such picks, sooner than later your luck will run out and you'll start picking things that are outright bad - you may even pick stocks so bad like DBX or INTC.
________ Tldr: cash out a big part, put money in money market index, keep living like you are.
Put an article like this through Google Translate: https://www.finanztip.de/investmentfonds/geldmarktfonds/ There are a handful of competitors to XEON (DBX0AN), otherwise you can buy a short-term government bond ETF.
So some trade talk, mainly to mock bols. I'm cautious so I bought some straddles not long ago. SONY 4/4 @25 Strad - P side up 185%, C side down 28% HYG 5/16 @80 Strad - (didn't expect much, this seems to never move) P up 70% C down 30% JNPR .. it's not moving for shit, so sad there. GSK 5/16 @38 Strad - C side up 160% P down 36% DBX put side... doing decent hoping for more of a shit from them.
I don’t know if it can be purchased from the US, but the German investing sub r/Finanzen is a huge fan of this one and even created a fanpage for it: WKN: DBX0AN | ISIN: LU0290358497 [https://dbx0an.com/de](https://dbx0an.com/de)

How is DBX inversing the market?
I agree- thanks DBX puts guy. Made a nice 150% on my 29$ puts. Coulda made more with this market but eh.
Yeah I’m thinking about throwing my gains from my DBX puts into 2/28 $12 achr
Question.. I am still learning about options, DBX has gone down to 27, so your put for 28 should make you profit right?
Might have sold my 3/21 DBX Puts too early. Definitely didn't sell my 0DTE $227 IWM calls too early. Unloaded those bags 90 seconds into the open for a 2.5x
Right? I have puts on DBX which is already in the crapper. If the market dumps, that will just make it even better.
Thank you CELH & DBX, Im out
# **TLDR** --- **Ticker:** DBX **Direction:** Holding (despite terrible guidance) **Prognosis:** Author is holding until $10. (YOLO) **Guidance Summary:** Dropbox's earnings call was a dumpster fire. Losing users, declining revenue, RIFs incoming, needs a refinancing miracle, and is clinging to a delusional AI strategy. They compared themselves to pre-streaming Netflix *six times*. **Bonus Meme:** DBX is like that friend who keeps saying they're "on the verge of a breakthrough" while simultaneously failing spectacularly at everything.
That DBX 50k 1DTE puts guy is about to make bank.
DBX dumping tmrw 📉puts print
DBX puts
So my DBX $28p 3/21 might actually print?
Not many people listed to my DD this week I guess. I bought DBX June puts and leaps
Between Rddt and DBX, we have witnessed 2 people correct in their yolos but regarded enough to not buy further out expirations with their money
Who else got DBX puts? 🙋🏾♂️
Well look at that, DBX guy might be right after all
Just got a notification that DBX beat expectations by 18%
RIP $DBX 50K puts guy
I hope that DBX puts guy is right. I could only afford a weekly cause I'm poor so if I lose it I'll be VERY sad
Netflix is actually getting new users though, DBX seems like their in a fight to maintain what users they have.
# **TLDR** --- **Ticker:** DBX **Direction:** Down **Prognosis:** 50k puts bought on DBX (Feb 21st expiry, various strikes shown in images). **Reasoning:** Analyst estimates for Q4 are too optimistic; EPS is declining/flat; GOOG and MSFT cloud sector misses (which impacts Dropbox's revenue). OP anticipates a similar negative price reaction to the February 2024 earnings report. **OP's Risk Tolerance:** Appears to be high based on significant put position. **Disclaimer:** This is not financial advice. OP states their analysis is simplistic and may be misleading. Proceed with extreme caution.
$DBX Dropbox puts already printing for me.
RIVN puts, XYZ calls and DBX puts
I'm trying out the inverse WSB strategy. Puts on WMT and DBX.
CELH Calls WMT Puts DBX Puts RIVN Calls Let's see if I can go 0/4
wow DBX options doesnt have much volume
# **TLDR** --- **Ticker:** DBX **Direction:** Down **Prognosis:** Short $DBX; $25 and $30 puts purchased. **Ex-Girlfriend Nudes Factor:** High (indirectly influences decision-making, apparently). **Overall Sentiment:** Author is bearish on Dropbox due to significant debt obligations coming due in 2026 and a questionable share buyback strategy funded by a new loan. The stock price needs to go above $38.25 by 2026 to avoid a massive cash payout. Author believes this is unlikely.
So this is what I’m buying tomorrow I think: NVDA 150c 2/21 TSLA 400c 2/21 VIMEO 7.5c 2/21 U 18p 2/21 DBX 28p 2/21 RIVN 16c 2/21 LUNR 25c 3/14 It’s a lot but fuck it, I’m bored of not trading and the 3 day weekend theta burned a lot of the values on these contracts so I should be able to get them cheaper than fridays prices
There's been a few of these names that have been strong the past 6m. Like DBX and SNOW. I haven't even looked at SNOW or seen in mentioned here in a minute.
why are people shooting DBX to the moon right now
Are you dumb? Just buy an Aston Martin DBX new and lose the same amount when you drive off the lot.
I don’t think anyone that works in ML considers that to be a leading product in the space? What exactly does this do that isn’t more widely accessible + cheaper than AWS / GCP / DBX?
Heathrow airport, that is a big one. People do not realize the importance of that contract. Once you have Heathrow, you will get AUH, DBX. Also, Pangiam CEO - is who? Former Under-Secretary of ....
Hi everyone, All the people around me keep telling me I should invest. Now, in my late 20s, I finally have more money than I spend, so I’m ready to take the first step. The problem is: I have zero clue about ETFs and stocks. That’s why I wanted to ask for your opinion on my plan before I jump in: I want to invest for at least 15+ years and keep the risk as low as possible. Based on that, I came up with the following ETF portfolio and allocations: 60% MSCI World (A1XB5U) 8% MSCI World ex USA (DBX0VH) 24% Emerging Markets IMI (A111X9) 8% FTSE India (A2PB5W) Idea behind ex USA + India: I wanted to slightly reduce the heavy focus on the USA in the typical world ETF and add more exposure to India. Do you think this is a reasonable approach? Thanks!!
They can’t control the OSS Iceberg roadmap, as that is governed separately from Tabular. I consult in this space, and virtually all of the implementations I see are oriented toward OSS Iceberg for the precise reason of eliminating vendor lock-in. Those customers will not go to Delta / Unity because they see where Databricks is trying to force lock-in on that path. From what I hear from my friends in DBX, this was a bidding war where Ali said the higher number, and dramatically overpaid for a thin layer on top of Iceberg.
Germans usually keep this kind of fund as "Tagesgeld", i.e., short-term savings accounts. They currently yield around 3% per annum. Various European options are available via this site: [https://www.raisin.com/en/our-offers/](https://www.raisin.com/en/our-offers/) Another option is a money market funds linked to the [Euro short-term rate (€STR)](https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/financial_markets_and_interest_rates/euro_short-term_rate/html/index.en.html), for example [DBX0AN](https://www.justetf.com/de/etf-profile.html?isin=LU0290358497). Not sure which of those are available to U.S. citizens (due to the regulatory requirements).
My point was they don’t have any technological moat or differentiating features. And yes, AIP certainly didn’t exist 10 years ago, in fact engineering leadership at Palantir was notoriously anti-ML back then although they’re doing a great job chasing the trend now. I don’t find build.palantir.com to be very technologically impressive, it’s a set of very simple tools that already exist in OSS. What have you built using this that wouldn’t be more scalable, robust and cost effective than using Sagemaker, DBX or even the flaming garbage pile that is GCP? What is a specific problem or domain where Palantir is best in class? Relying on a companies marketing material as your source of truth is a dangerous way to reaffirm preexisting beliefs. As is following influencers who unapologetically shill stocks and cherry-pick data to fit their narrative. OP is correct that most technical users of Palantir software think it’s overpriced and lacking in features. That doesn’t mean the stock won’t go up further, or that the product won’t improve, but it’s something you should try to be objective about when researching.
Maybe you can check out DBX0AN. That sounds like an investmwnt for you🚀🚀🚀
Yeah, i own ETFs for Japan (A1T8FU), China (DBX0M2) and Developed Asia ex Japan (A1T8FT) which includes hong kong. I think it's a good choice to be geographically diversified when investing passively. I understand not applying the same logic when stock picking though, because then there is more importance placed on the individual stock rather than some property shared by the stocks (like the region).
Anyone notice DBX's chart? Very interesting
Nice list. You have international stock picks you say? How about stocks on ASX? I’m in a few of these Australian penny stocks now: ANG, DBX, SUM, IMU
hmm, GPT agrees with you... Bad idea to buy into the market now with a large sum? Better wait until…when? Talking about buying an ETF with 10-15 year horizon. I have no idea of all that, this is why I “simply” want to buy an ETF (A0RPWH) but I feel too uneducated to even do this correctly. My approach was to buy in 1/3 yesterday which I did, wait until beginning of next year with the 2nd 1/3 after US elections and keep another 1/3 in case the market tanks within the next 5-10 years. Money not invested is kept in DBX0AN. Have a better battle plan for me, some inspiration or confirmation? Thanks for your input.
> are more the future and Dropbox is the past. The seasoned engineers I worked with all thought DBX has overdone the add ons and saturated the app over the years. They've turned a great simple product into a marketing bonanza.
Maybe so.. but it’s not like I was uploading that much every month. That was accumulated over 5 years. So I’ve paid a total of $6k+ for that amount. A 1TB drive costs guys like us $100 bucks but I’d bet 1TB is like $10 for DBX. The rep I talked to said that this decision was largely influenced because of accounts that had multiple Petabytes of storage. So like 5000 TB or more.. Alas, it is what it is.
Who is fucking with the DBX chart? Three huge spikes $1 over market
Puts on SPY, DBX, LUMN, PLTR, NVDA. Only DBX expires 8/16, the rest are September or November
Hopefully DBX joins the rest of the market in having a red day
Hmmm DBX might be the earnings play of the day.
I'm about to pull the trigger on some stocks like PARA and DBX. I don't have much money to invest so if I can turn like $50 into $100, that would be cool.
PARA puts. DBX puts. SOUN puts.
U puts SOUN calls RKLB calls DOCN calls DBX puts
Going into today with LLY calls (fuck yes!) FUN calls (earnings today) DBX puts (Earnings today) MMM puts SPY puts LUMN puts
Doing some earnings play tomorrow. LLY, FUN, and DBX. Dropbox is a put, Six Flags and Lilly are calls.
You have 30% listed just for DBX, and part of your reason outside of it actually taking off is “stock cheap”? Bro idk if you’ve done enough research on this
BB needs our love. I have a good feeling about DBX too.
stay safe out there homie, best of luck with the DBX puts
I went really heavy on SPY, DOCN, and DBX puts tonight. I believe I just fucked myself and I knew they were stupid but I panic did it
DBX up 5% on top and bottom line beats
DBX is a sleeper play this week
My dude, if you know so much, go compete with them. Fact of the matter is their sql processing engine frequently outperforms Spark for many jobs. Snowparks compiles down to their processing engine. We've done a TCO cost comparison of DBX, our own Spark, and Snowflake, Snowflake wins and is quite efficient. Run your own comps and stop relying on fault random data. You're making false equivalencies and don't understand the product, the market segment, their financials, and really have a pretty bad argument altogether.
MON: LCID calls TUE: RIVN calls WED: HOOD calls THU: DBX puts FRI: Ya MOM calls
Ah. OP is DBX shill. Probably from sales team. LOL
Sales isn’t losing any customers to Palantir. It’s DBX or a native cloud solution.
BOX is more on business clients while DBX is more to individuals and small businesses. For me as an individual, I canceled the Dropbox 2TB annual plan $200ish and geot Microsoft 365 plan $100ish instead. 365 can get 6 people access to office and 1TB each. I don't see a reason to keep paying Dropbox. Too bad I didn't buy DBX puts! I hope BOX's lunch has been taken too.
Do you think BOX related closely to DBX? DBX earnings was so bad and it dropped 20%+.
No. My 300% was from DBX puts 😂 Actually I’m up 700% if you count RIVN puts from this week. I’m still playing it safe, so haven’t touched NVDA and SMCI.
