Let's say column A is the amount of BTC bought, while column B is the price you entered at. The cost of the specific trade would be A*B. You can make a third column C that computes for this using > =(A:A)*(B:B) You also need to compute for the total amount of BTC you have. Total cost / Total amount of BTC > =SUM(C:C)/SUM(A:A)

1. That money spent elsewhere could also create jobs. Hence the point is moot. 2. Again if you were not buying crypto that money would just go elsewhere. 3. Bank deposits are guaranteed. 4. That is true, if you lose someone else gains. not exactly a benefit is it? 5. Now that is utter bovine scat. Banks carry out billions of transactions everyday. Crypto is certainly not eco-friendly. So, in short Bill was right. Now, does it provide value to some, sure, you hand over your hard earned cash and swap it for digi-coins. The seller then uses your cash to spend it on Lamborghini's, etc, etc.... Simply put Crypto is one huge ZERO SUM GAME. Actually it's a negative sum game. All those organisations are sucking cash out of crypto. The only source of funds into the scheme are the punters.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Correct, but then that is a currency and not an investment. Holding on to dollars for 30 years will earn you zip (in the bank you'll get some interest, not much). In fact you'll lose purchasing power. Currencies are meant to be spent, not saved. Dollars are therefore a NEGATIVE SUM GAME. This is why most people invest in productive assets like companies. They produce goods or services, make profits, and grow. They grow in value, just look at stock market performance over the last 50 years. Do you even understand what a negative/zero sum game is?

It’s not that people are wrong entirely, Bitcoin IS a new asset type that could potentially change the world… that really isn’t the point though. People aren’t thinking through the microeconomic factors that influence bitcoin buyers/investors. I’ll use myself as a case study: I buy BTC with fiat, just like everyone else. When I’m deciding if I’m going to buy BTC, I examine my possible options… personally I also invest in stocks and real estate. If I see an opportunity to buy a significant dip in Apple or Google, I put money there. Or, maybe I save some money and buy another rental property. Regardless, I CAN’T DO ALL THREE WITH THE SAME SUM OF FIAT. As long as there is an opportunity cost trade off between the stock market, crypto, or other assets they will all be linked to some degree. The bottom line is that people are naive to believe that crypto is “100% it’s own thing”. If we bought BTC using time or some other asset that cannot be purchased with case, maybe that would be the case, but since buying crypto means we have to forego spending that fiat elsewhere they are linked heavily.

Do you even know what a zero sum game is? A service or product is not equal to 0, it is an actual benefit with monetary value. So one person receives the money, the other the product. IT IS NOT A ZERO SUM GAME.

Market cap = # of shares \* Share price. So In crypto its # of coins \* coin price. Represents the total value of a project. In practice, we use a circulating supply for this. You can use the two numbers to ascertain how much growth is probable. Will a project shed 8 zeros? not likely if the coin supply is several quadrillion for example. Circulating supply is how much of the total supply of coins (max that can be minted) is actually available to buy or sell. Max supply will be blank if there is no cap on how many coins can exist Volume = total value of all trades made with this currency in a time period. This is usually 24h, 7d , or 30d. Usually determined by summing the value of all trades (SUM spot price \* # of coins traded).

So if you take a look at your statements and SUM all transactions, the total is not equal to your total balance. binance says these are errors, but it looks more like they are stealing lol but you can test it: do a transaction of the type DUST ("transfer small amounts into BNB") and it will not show in your statement later.

I created a spreadsheet Excel for all the coins I hold. Easiest way to summarize how it's setup below... * Each sheet within the workbook is dedicated to 1 currency or token * Left side of each sheet--all the purchases I've made * Column 1: Coin Quantity, * Column 2: Coin Cost, * Column 3: Order Amount (auto calculated) * At the bottom, the excel file SUMS the Coin Quantities and the Order Amounts in Columns 1 and 3 * Right side, same thing but for Sales. Just use a "-" for the Coin Quantities * At the bottom, SUM Coin Quantities and Order Amounts for Sales * At the top I have a "Snapshot" that uses that information to show the Total USD Investment and Cost-per-Coin. * For your investment, just subtract the Total Sale SUM of Order Amounts from the Total Purchase SUM of order amounts. * For the Coin Quantities, SUM the Total Purchase SUM of Coin Quantities and the Total Sale SUM of Coin Quantities * For Cost-Per-Coin, divide the total USD Investment from above by the coins in your wallet I then have an "Overview" tab in the workbook that puts everything together into one sheet to view everything at once. This is where I've also built a few calculators that I use. I also track the total amount of USD deposits/withdraws I've made on the Overview sheet, which SUM into a "Total Investment" cell that I subtract from my "Current Portfolio Amount" cell to show me my total profit/loss. If you use the Coin Market Cap API excel integration, your workbook will pull real-time prices for each coin (after you set it up how you like).

Yes, because a few people that puth their minds together can generate wealth out of thin air. /s Coins that have use cases build up their market cap by acting as a service. I PAY a little to use DApps on the Ethereum network. I PAY a little for the convenience, speed, and decentralized trust of Stellar Lumens as a borderless currency. I PAY a little to trade my fiat for a limited supply and store of value of bitcoin. The money I put into the network increases the market cap and value of the coin. When a coin has no use case, its value exists ONLY as speculation. Every green arrow you see on your Shiba portfolio is a direct mirror of someone's red. It is a ZERO SUM GAME. The only way for one person to make $1 million on SHiba is for 1000 other people to lose $1000 each(or some variation). Hell, Shiba is actually "negative sum" due to the infinite supply.

In order to make money, someone else has to lose it. The Market is like a wrecking ball: a mechanism for squeezing the most money from the greatest number of individuals. So if a post has 3 positive sentiments and 1 negative, it will score a 50% for that post. 1 positive sentiments and 3 negative a -50%. Etc. The sentiment score column is the Average sentiment score of the symbol (which is correct). The positive/negative scores are the SUM across the whole month. So positive/negative are mostly good just to see the individual post. But the Sentiment score is accurate since it is an average.
