Holding FLNC long. Volatility is brutal but the sector is real

im bearish since 14 Oct, how is a bear more calm than bulls? there's going to be consolidation, just ride the relief rally and stop panicking. short interest at all time high (almost 30% more than apr dump btw), the market wont dump until late jan feb. junk tickers like OKLO, MP, RGTI, QBTS, FLNC, ORCL, IBIT need a relief rally to get people to buy in, this will take a few weeks of trading so the next wave of liquidation can begin. so many plebs here do not know how it works, have u seen the exact same mania in 2021? go look at UPST at $400 or AFRM at $170 or HOOD at $50

This is bullish for BESS plays as well such as EOSE, FLNC and TSLA. DataCenters will be buying lots of behind the meter storage for both backup and to buy electricity when the rates are lowest and then store it for when rates are high. FLNC just released and had a strong guide for 2026: The Company is initiating fiscal year 2026 guidance as follows: * Revenue of approximately $3.2 billion to $3.6 billion with a midpoint of $3.4 billion. As of September 30, 2025 approximately 85% of the midpoint of the Company's revenue guidance is covered by the backlog as of that date. * Adjusted EBITDA^(1) of approximately $40.0 million to $60.0 million with a midpoint of $50.0 million. * ARR of approximately $180.0 million by the end of fiscal year 2026. As much as I'd like to pretend I've mastered the investor's temperament, I'm bad enough at setting my trailing stops that I got shaken out after just this scenario in BTE, SHLS, and especially FLNC this year. Took 15% gains when I could have just watched the market ignoring negative company news and seen 50-400%.

Yeah, I really like nuclear in theory, but am somewhat worried how much is actually going to get built. Like there is a real growth in solar+battery storage. I never found any companies outside of SHLS and NXT to invest in for utility level stuff. I have looked and owned FLNC, but don't really like companies that aren't profitable, but haven't looked at them in forever. Crazy to see their 6 month run lol. I remember looking at AMRC in the past and was in the same boat as FLNC. There was another name, but can't even remember it at this point. Just had a hard time finding stuff that make sense for the valuation and theme of solar + battery storage.

i have a lot of BE and FLNC, energy storage will be huge

FLNC, EOSE, NUAI are some picks. Other energy stocks that aren’t data centre but battery — AMPX (for drones not large scale). But, AMPX is really really really good. Look at their balance sheet, their market cap, their consistent history of beating earnings. Make your own decision.

My sleeper is FLNC. Been in and out since the IPO, I stocked up heavy on the recent lows. Fluence energy, not really well known, but affiliated with Siemens and AES working in the battery grid storage field. Worth a look!

Yeah that's fair Lithuim (with batteries and grid storage) is one of my more surefire bets and power/grid storage companies (FLNC innparticular) being big gainers. Palladium (fuel cells) is finding new life after it seemed like the downscaling of catalytic converter production was going to kill its value. It's also useful to see where silver is vs its inflation adjusted all time highs to get a sense of where we really are in the rally. Silver has a long way to go to reach its all time highs or even its early 2010s highs and it's ratio vs gold has a lot of room to move comfortably.

VST, CEG, TLN, NRG all up massively in recent years and things like PWR/EME have done very well. BE/FLNC/etc in terms of battery/fuel cell have turned into complete FOMO lately. The data center energy trade has been going on for a couple years already. It's not to say that some of the names aren't good companies/there isn't more to go, but when you have something like VST up 880% in the last 5 years given the nature of the company even in the best case scenario it's hard to see another 880% over the next 5 years. With a lot of names in this theme, there's also a very heavy reliance on the data center growth story. If something curtailed the theme (not saying it will imminently, but if) then a lot of these names will re-rate signficantly lower. So not saying there isn't more to go (especially in the best case), but the easy money has been made and if there's a blip in the AI theme, these names will definitely head lower.

$FLNC Is my gamble this week. Huge short interest.

"So in my portfolio , i've got : - Nebius - Celestica - Credo - Vertiv - Seagate - Sterling infrastructure and Argan" Most of these are up 100-200%+ YTD. Focusing entirely on the hottest names/themes works until it doesn't - people "can't own enough" of these kinds of names until you get an early 2025 and all the sudden it's "too much of a good thing" as something like CLS loses half in 2-3mo (as it did earlier this year.) Things can go a lot further than anyone expects in a market like this, but I think it's fair to say that when something is up 200% YTD and the year still has a couple months to go, it's probably not early innings for the name/theme. Nothing against any of these names in terms of the businesses, it just becomes imo at some point the risk/reward starts to get somewhat less appealing as everyone keeps piling into the same names. When the turn happens like it did earlier this year, all the people 110% risk on in all the popular names all start to de-risk (aka puke) at once. I've had a good year and gradually trimmed a fair amount of AI exposure lately. Looking around, there's been some decent opportunities in non-AI names well off highs. In terms of popular AI names, there'd have to be at least a 20-30% pullback before they'd get interesting. "I've got in my watchlist Bloom Energy but I feel bad when I saw some analyst saying the partnership with Oracle and Brookfield are not big deal ..." I invested last Summer and am already trimming. The kind of returns from a growth theme that one used to expect in 1-2 years are now happening in 6-12 months or in some cases much less. I get the appeal of the company but it went up over 300% in a matter of a few months. I owned a small position in FLNC in the single digits thinking I'd add more and all the sudden it's in the 20's.

My personal preferences are: I like ET (great dividend, great infrastructure with new investments in growth and strong demand from data centers etc.) I also like FLNC because there’s a need for it, I believe it’s the future, and eventually solar will see the political pendulum swing back that way.

I think FLNC seems like a winner long term imo. The recent dump from 15 to $4 was from some lawsuit and investigations into misrepresentations to its business I don’t think it will be a big issue going forward. I don’t think this is Enron seems like a legit company still. They have more cash on hand than they have debt so that is a good sign nowhere near close to filing bankruptcy if you ask ChatGPT. This is a good sector going forward I believe with energy demand that is going to happen in the next 2 to 5 years with AI, how it uses so much data and energy and energy demands will keep increasing with people buying more electric cars etc etc. I think it’s a buy and hold situation for a few years. Demand could skyrocket Elon Musk says the U.S. will run out of energy in the next 2 years if solutions aren’t come up with fast. Energy demand is going to skyrocket I belive with ai is the bull case. I think this and EOSE is another good candidate. Maybe democrat politicians will cancel all the Tesla contracts and go with Fluence because they’re mad at Elon Musk.

Everyone's overlooking energy storage during the next AI cycle. TSLA's the main player but there are others that look juicy, especially ENPH (which has been beaten down), EOSE, FLNC, etc

r/stocksSee Comment

Watchlist time. They will retest their 52 week lows, and then some. In the solar EV space, I'm watching First Solar (FSLR) who make cells through panels, and Shoals Tech (SHLS) in the electrical balance of systems space. Both will be survivors, but things will get pretty dark before they get better. In the wind space, I'm still holding Vestas Wind (VWDRY), as its not that levered to the US market, and they have the best product in the offshore wind space. I'm watching Cadeler A/S (CDLR) who own/operate jack-up crane vessels serving the same market and have some built in growth this year thanks to fleet expansion. CDLR under 17 would be nice, under 15 a gift. In the storage system space, I'm watching Fluence (FLNC). Really tight margins, which means they operate near break-even, competes with Tesla, will benefit if trade talks with China break down, as unlike Tesla they can produce 100% US domestic BESS. Wouldn't buy any above their current 52 wk lows. But might consider them if on sale.
