To be honest, I would follow the whales. I did. I didn't come up with this, I read professional financial newspapers. I look a short positions from the big boys. Just data, no opinion, only data. The whales have ut right most of the time. I shorted the most shorted real estate company of China listed at the NYSE, KE Holding, for example and I am up 50%. I don't know this company and I care little. When whales pour in billions in shorts, I follow.

Source on what KE was hired for? Whatever it is, I guarantee it's not 'cost cutting'. That's not what law firms do.

The quarterly number, ok. As you mentioned in another comment, oil would need to drop ~12% for that number to make sense. Oil did fall almost 10% from $98 from end of July to $89 now, and there's also a [fall in wheat](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/KE%3DF/) (so food) since Russia allowed Ukrainian exports starting last week
