My Thesis? Extremely high-beta, leveraging memetic quality specifically, and investing in something everyone has written off. Over the next weeks I look forward to adding to $OTLY over the next weeks (big things '23), (please ignore the Herba Life, it has a min. sell volume smh).

$OTLY dairy cows have bird flu
Which is when I *may* have bought 🤣 I’m into <.50 really but invested in $OTLY once upon a time…
2021 was the 1999 year. SPACs, unprofitable tech, money grab IPOs like OTLY, monkey.jpgs, crypto shitcoins like pregnantbutt or cumrocket, etcetc.
I’ve been holding EBS OTLY and NBY expecting good things from NBY this week
So shall I go All-in in OTLY? Wife is buying it for over a year now. Despite being more expensive than the other oatmilks on the shelf.
Got some buying power I haven't had in a hot minute. Not sure what to do with it. Eyeing OTLY CYBN and VOR.
In $OTLY @ $1.14. Earnings tomorrow.
OTLY earnings Thursday very good company I drink their oat milk from time to time
OTLY is a good stock to hold long term
Looks like OTLY has momentum! I added a small position this week. Fingers crossed earnings are strong - this company has potential for growth and their products are really taking off on store shelves. Cautiously optimistic here!
They basically expanded too fast, just massive growth outpacing revenue, but they are in every grocery store in America have a loyal customer base now and are moving toward net profitability. BRCC doesn’t have the same low cost of entry as OTLY which is why I posted it in this sub.
Penny stocks are classified as trading under $5.00/share. $OTLY is easily a penny stock.
Not OTLY, that’s all I know.
Exactly. Investors typically want to over complicate the process. They want to find the "next Tesla" or the "next Amazon", which is like finding a needle in a haystack unless you have inside information or, frankly, clairvoyance. The simplicity of the S&P 500 and the ETF's that mirror it (VOO / SPY) is that they will find them for you and, eventually, will be incorporated into the index and continue the long term trend of the index growing. Sure, you could make the argument that while SPY / VOO holders are making a 7-9% annualized return that they are missing the potential thousand percent gains but, how many misses and negative returns will you, as a general individual investor, have before you catch that return? Further, a perfect example of this is Jeremy Lefevbre ("Financial Education") on YouTube. He brags about his significant gains in Tesla, Meta and Elf; however, those that follow his stocks must realize that between TTCF, OTLY, HNST, GoPro, Smile Direct Club and others, he has lost nearly $4 million dollars while his gains on the initially mentioned stocks are about $1.2 million. You do the math on whether he is up or down. So, to summarize my POV, yes, the advice is simple and is exactly what Buffet preaches YET there are many young investors that choose the options route, the individual stock route rather than simply letting these big ETF's mirror the well-tested S&P and letting the chips fall where they may over the course of time. I would also add that, yes, the S&P 500 could go to zero, however, in general terms, if it were to do so then where would that leave the US, and global economy for that matter, on the whole? My guess is that investors across the world would have bigger concerns than their portfolio's performance, rather, the concern would be where am I getting food and putting it on the table for my family. LONG SPY / VOO and other similar mirroring S&P 500 ETF's.
How many days until OTLY is back over 2$?
I’m down 92% on OTLY. I bought around IPO AND I’ve purchased more trying to lower my cost basis. They were supposed to be the SBUX exclusive for oatmilk, but then they couldn’t keep up with their contracted amount and Sbux outsourced to alternative brands despite Howard Schultz being on the board of OTLY. I still believe in the company, but I think recovery will occur within the decade. It’s definitely a long term hold.
OTLY is up 3.78% to $1.2350. Check it out on Yahoo Finance https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/OTLY?p=OTLY
Holding $ICU, $CYBN, $PHRRF, $AGRI, $GRAM, $MEEC, and $OTLY. Probably will sell $$MEEC and $OTLY (they’ve treated me well) and move the money to $AGRI. Let’s have a good week!
Only penny stock I've touched all year is OTLY
OTLY is cheap enough rn that I think it’s a solid buy
👏: LNC SQ OTLY (+13% 1D) HNST PINS CPNG 🎢 LNC increased dividend again to $.48 (annual payout a few years ago)
Glad you remember and in that case, glad to see you again! What all are you holding right now? I was against diversifying and then have started to - I’ve got: $ICU, $CYBN, $PHRRF, $MEEC, $GRAM, and $OTLY - looking to either start another position or buy more of these before I start to travel at the end of the year (so no income). Can’t justify buying more of $CYBN/$ICU so anything else…
I guess you’re talking about TTCF & OTLY? Or maybe some other stocks in mind?
I fell for buying RKT at IPO. It was a good lesson and I have not bought another. I wanted OTLY because I like their products and heard they partnered with Starbucks, I am glad I waited. I bought recently and I think if you wanted to buy now (for both RKT and OTLY) you would be in a good position.
OTLY is frustrating because oat milk is so cheap to make - their margins should be stellar but they are abysmal. Plus their management was shocking - who thought starting a website called "fuck Oatly" would be a good marketing idea?? I expect the company is going to go the way of an SPAC or they'll get acquired by KO or some other beverage giant. Too bad too, as plant based foods should be the emerging market of the future but the Street isn't responding.
Some will laugh but I just bought OTLY. Penny stock now but everywhere I go they can barely keep it on the shelves. It’s a popular drink globally. Hoping they can turn it around, not just for the stock but also for my fridge. other oat milk is mediocre.
OTLY. Worst financial mistake of my life.
$OTLY - gawd damn people have been loving that oat milk the past couple weeks!
OTLY still going strong. Go starch water!
Thoughts on OTLY? Thinking of opening a small position. Idk much about it but my wife buys it every week, gonna do my research when I have the time.
OTLY is more than a dollar! Amazing company!
Look at OTLY up 120% for the month
What’s happening in OTLY up 34% last week and 120% for the month
$CYBN, $ICU, $MEEC, $OTLY, long holds…
How come no one talks about OTLY? Impossible to borrow. Squeezing their balls.
Holding $CYBN, $ICU, $MEEC, and a bit of $OTLY (didn’t buy enough for it to amount to anything haha)…
Look at OTLY. Borrow rate is in the mid 100%. It looks like it can potentially both gamma and short squeeze with this recent increase in share price.
My OTLY stock went up 93% in a month, wonder how much upside there still is 👀
Fun LNC PINS SQ OTLY HNST 🎢
Holding $CYBN, $ICU, $MEEC, and a bit of $OTLY. Accumulation time for $ICU and $OTLY… Sold out of $CYTO (what’s coming for them? Anything?) and $LTMAY earlier this week, broke even between the two, and it worked wonders on my mental health…
Holding $CYBN very long, through thick and thin, holding $ICU and hoping it doesn't just go to 0 (look at that chart ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face) but big things are coming), holding $MEEC just to see what happens, holding $LTMAY because I believe it is coming back strong, and newly holding $OTLY, which I have always wanted to buy and should have bought more originally... You live and you learn...
🤔 Ride LNC SQ PINS HNST OTLY back to highs 🤞 to feel high 🎢
Holding $CYBN, $LTMAY, $MEEC, and now $OTLY optimistically. Holding $CYTO and $ICU reluctantly…
Holding $CYBN, $ICU, $LTMAY, $CYTO, $MEEC, and a bit of $OTLY - holding long, may try to keep myself from obsessively watching them every day…
Starting positions in $GRAM, $OTLY, and $CYTO of the price is right today, got orders SET! 😀
The literal day after I sell OTLY it explodes fml
What strike OTLY calls ya going for? That shit is gonna s queeze so hard you'll be paying twice the tax.
I'm a vegan who invested in Beyond Meat shortly after their IPO, hoping for big things, because it aligned with my personal principles and I wanted to see a plant-based company do well. Needless to say, I've been very burned by this and my investment in OTLY, so I'm definitely not going to be jumping at the next plant-based companies that go public!
Check out OTLY and LSF too. All these publicly-traded plant-based food companies are massively struggling. Not to mention the disasters that were TTCF and VGFC.
Bought $OTLY at ipo value… thought I was getting a deal… next thing I know I’m giving wendies at Wendy’s. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4260)
Update us how it goes for you! I’ve been thinking of $OTLY forever, never taken the plunge…
I’m in OTLY right now earnings call at 8:30 EST😬
Why is OTLY so low wtf
Packaging yes ... OTLY .. no. Crowded space with better products coming to market. Oatly paved the way, but they've struggled since.
I’m definitely into plant-based as a market as well, thinking of plant-based packaging and can’t find any good companies - been keeping $OTLY on my radar for a while…
I was shamed in here so now I’m buying 500 shares of OTLY at open.
doubling down on my $OTLY play.. what's it gonna do? go to zero? RS? delist? hahahahaha (nervous laughter)
I’m invested in OTLY so I’m pretty much only go down. My knees are starting to hurt honestly.
I might take a gamble on $OTLY it's either up from here or $0.00
OTLY. Easy short squeeze to $4.20. Either lose 70k shares at $.5 or cash out at $300k
I want OTLY to do something but every time I check, there is nothing to report...
PTON, BIGC, TDOC, OTLY, PTRA, CRIS, CHGG. Then ETFs like ARKK and MJ. All bought at ATH, now bankrupt or near it. Will be working for a few extra years to make up the six figure losses. Then I learned to cut losses so I took a 75% hit to get out of PLTR and DKNG early this year. Guess what happened to those stocks after I sold? 😓
Bought another 1,000 shares of OTLY due to it being insanely valued right now. Investors don't understand why consumers keep buying this brand, but Oatly's extra processing makes a far superior product that dominates market share across Europe for a reason.
Is OTLY fucked? Asking for a friend
that's why i'm all in OTLY
I wouldn’t buy COCO stock, but seems pretty far off being OTLY too. COCO has actually figured out sustainable unit economics.
I stay far away from these commodity goods. Sure I’ll miss the $MNST but I’ll also miss $OTLY. This feels like the latter far more too
Another day of fake meat ($BYND) and fake milk ($OTLY) destroying my portfolio Ask me anything
Worst than OTLY? Don’t think so
OTLY at new all-time lows?! SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!
No. I know this because the likes of TTCF, HNST, OTLY, SDC, Etc… we’re all in his public account. Now, when he shows it, they are no where to be found!
I watch him because, for some reason, my kid brother (who is 22), used to listen to the guy. I try to help the young kids because the guy is a fool…by way of example: He lost ALL of his money on Voyager Digital. ($250,000.00). — realized He lost $1,100,000.00 on TTCF. — realized. He is DOWN $1,000,000.00 on HNST — no one knows if he sold or not because he hides his position. He is down $1,000,000.00 on OTLY. Same as above What he does is moves these large positions to his “private portfolio” and never speaks of them again. Subsequently, he pushes that he is up in META, TSLA and ELF. (Which he is, to the tune of about Comically, he claims to “massively be beating the S&P”, which is funny considering he has over $1,300,000 of realized losses this year, versus gains of about $575,000! The most amazing thing to me is that he hasn’t been shut down by the SEC, especially considering how much money he has lost young investors who follow him.
I watch pretty much all his videos. Overall I think he’s pretty good. He’s obviously made some mistakes with TTCF and OTLY but has done incredibly well with TSLA, ELF, and more recently META. He was also buying PLTR at basically all time lows and was able to eloquently state his bull thesis and why he believed it was undervalued. People get to caught up in his losses probably because he’s a public figure. Warren Buffet has been wrong on a lot of stocks and the man is still considered one of the best investors of all time. Everyone wants to contribute others peoples successes to luck but their own successes as skill. They also contribute their losses as bad luck. People in these comments seem awfully salty.
OTLY. I love their oatmilk and think it’s objectively the best plant based milk. I used the strategy of buying companies that I liked. Apparently the stock market doesn’t agree with me lol.
Thanks for the reply! I like your 'cheap can get cheaper' line- certainly proving true with some stocks right now. I'm still holding out hope for CVS but I'm thinking I might need to sell and reset my price point. BYND and OTLY are done unless they get acquired but their brands have value to groceries like Whole Foods (AMZN), TGT, and WMT. Bird (BRDS) is just frustrating to me because yeah- the business model isn't self-sufficient or whatever but it could have worked if people believed in it. Look at Uber in the beginning- was that 100% viable? No. But people love cars, so we adjusted our lives around Uber and now it's a major part of our lives. Scooters could have been that way too. They're the perfect first/last mile solution for getting people to/from transit stops and they are more affordable and require less energy than e-bikes. I admit- I was living in LA while Bird, Lime, Spin, Superpedestrian, and a few more startups were treating LA as a testing ground and the scooters were everywhere. It was a mess. But you're telling me that's worse than LA traffic?? Hell no! We could have made the scooters work but people preferred their cars and cringed at the thought of walking around a tipped over scooter. Cities didn't work with the scooter companies to develop parking programs (and vice versa). And now there are fewer scooters to choose from and prices have gone up- so it's pretty much officially dead. Pisses me off. Not because of BRDS or my investment. But because these scooters had the potential to improve our lives and y'all said no 😔
beyond meat and oatly are booth cool I buy those brands weekly but I dont see their stock market value. care to explain why you do? OTLY e.g. spend a shitton on marketing which I respect bc their product is incredibly cheap to make but imo they got a very early ceiling, dont you think? whats still to come for them?
