I'm a big Michael Burry fan and it's worth noting he bought big amounts of S'PX puts in late Summer 2023, only to dump them a couple of months later. That aside, the questions your asking lead me to think you might want to learn more about options before you start buying them.

I don’t know if this is related, but a resent package I was expecting from china was denied entry this morning via the 4PX carrier. Seems like a bunch of stuff is breaking right now.

So military POG math that PX uses overseas to avoid shipping change.
Former army officer here. Assuming you are in the Blended Retirement System with thrift savings plan, you need to get your 5% match from the government by going on Mypay and allocating 5% of your base pay into a Roth TSP. This is a no brainer. The government will match whatever money you put in, up to 5% of your paycheck. Then, you should login to TSP and adjust your fund allocation. Since you are very early in your investment journey, just throw all of it in the C-Fund. It tracks the S&P 500. Then, you need to feel it out. 5% of your paycheck should not set you back significantly in regard to month to month expenses. If you feel that you still have some extra cash at the end of the week, since you are a fiscally responsible soldier who doesn’t spend all their money at the PX, you should open up a Roth IRA of your own. This account will be more flexible than your TSP account and may offer a match as well if you choose the right investment firm. You will be able to invest in growth index funds which should provide you with returns a little better than the S&P 500. But again, you really need to feel it out and make sure you are able to support yourself before increasing your TSP contributions past 5% and then opening another account. Finally, talk to a financial advisor. The folks down at finance are very helpful. And your unit should have a financial literacy course on the training schedule. Ask your NCO about it. If you have any further questions, DM me. I’ve thought about these things extensively so that I could mentor my soldiers and love doing it.
>On the whole Europe is a horrible place to invest. Sometimes yes but not always. For example Prague index PX in 2023 done 28,11% with dividends, while SP500 done "only" 25.3%.
Which is funny, because when I was stationed in Turkey years ago, they only wanted American cigarettes. They would lite up theirs when Americans were around because they stunk so bad they knew that somebody would offer them a Marlboro cigarette or Camel or other American smoke. I didn't smoke so I was able to use my monthly allocation of cigarettes (I think it was 4 cartons) at really low prices from our base PX and trade on the black market for all kinds of stuff that was worth way more. I was told that all of the good Turkish tobacco was exported, which is why the locals all had terrible smelling cigarettes. Believe me, they were bad!

>PX 5500 There's so many levels to this
LRN - this is my only stock in the green in the last few months, it's a leading player in the online K-12 and adult education industry, which is growing quickly AMK - asset management technology for individual advisors, paid from AUM PX - asset management for private equity / credit DOCN - strong potential in the cloud space JD - not quite lesser known, but is in a strong position to grow with China's middle class EXPE - not quite lesser known, but they have Vrbo MTCH - again not quite lesser known, but they're the leader in online dating
Finally a pause to the bleeding in my stocks (EXPE, LRN, MTCH, PX, AMK, JD, DOCN) and maybe the start of a new rally for some of them... bought a chunk of SPY today on the idea that we may have just rejected 420
Some atmospheric [entertainment](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PX_osPwxiO4) while picking your personal cherries.
These are my stocks: AMK, DOCN, JD, EXPE, LRN, MTCH, PX. I look for a combination of good financials and a growth story. In particular: Asset management is a great business (AMK, PX). As the equity market itself expands, fees increase. As their advisors take on more clients, fees increase. And as the company acquires more advisors, fees increase. And all of these are multiplicative. LRN and MTCH are dominant in their industry, which will have strong growth. JD has a moat with its logistics and benefits from the growing middle class. EXPE is good as it is, plus it has Vrbo. (Saying that out loud, might be my weakest thesis.) DOCN is my favorite outside long shot. I got it cheap, and I've sold a lot of puts to try to get more for even cheaper. My thought here is the asymmetric play because they are a great target for an acquisition at their current market cap.
My picks are: AMK - asset management "TAMP" PX - private equity asset management DLO - cross border payments DOCN - cloud provider EXPE - travel booking and VRBO JD - logistics, e-commerce, cloud LRN - online K12 LTHM - vertically integrated Lithium MTCH - online dating I don't see AMK, PX, or LRN discussed much.

Imo... Some starters. 1) max your tsp to what they match. 5%?? 2) Roth IRA $6500. Can pay into it until tax submission for 2023. At one year, I'm assuming you are low rank. 3) save a few thousand for your checking and savings. 4) don't buy a mustang. Don't go to payday lender. Don't buy a new car. 5) add more to tsp. 6) don't waste money on bars and restaurants. 7) do your own taxes. It's easy. Don't spend $100+ for data entry. 8) training, go to any schools you can get into, keep inquiring with your tl, sl, pl, co whatever. Rank up. Don't steal a Christmas tree from the PX.
HD signed a deal with BX/PX/Xchange on military bases.
The PX is super sluggish in pretty much all markets outside of RTH. Minutes may go by without any change in price. So it could either be a great way to learn, or a frustrating exercise in futility. ;)

I just got done explaining this at length the other day in our Discord... The most misunderstood trade is VIX options. The simplest way to think about VIX options is as if they are futures options (where the options are tied to a futures contract expiration instead of the spot price) -- because that it exactly what they are. VIX options are tied to /VX contracts, which expire monthly and trade independently of the VIX spot. They are NOT tied to the VIX spot. So many mistakes in trading VIX options are made via this one simple misunderstanding. In Discord I used the example of the Nov23 expiration for /VX. During the recent bank-related VIX spike (about 12 points from its base), the Nov23 VX contract moved about 2 points. Anyone buying/selling Nov23 VIX options -- and not understanding this fact -- would have been utterly exasperated at the lack of movement in their options prices. It's vital to look at the price of the actual underlying /VX contract (and its PX history) when contemplating trading VIX options.
You fucking regards forget that today rebalancing happened that caused the end of day PX and now we bounce back up
Good article! I've done the positive and negative gamma scalps and can strongly second the need to have the correct read on implied vs. realized/future volatility for these to work. They can and do work, but are a time-consuming endeavour for the typical retail trader and are probably best left to automation if at all possible (since they are purely mechanical trades). While one could theoretically flatten once a day, likely a lot of movement (and profit potential) are missed by not scalping frequently (I was scalping an SPX straddle at 5-delta intervals using MES to hedge and I found myself spending most all of my waking hours tending to the trade). While I say that it's a mechanical trade, I did find myself making discretionary decisions about when to hedge at times, based on the PX of the market at the time, but for the most part, it was generally on 5-delta intervals. My next adventure was going to be relative-value vol trading, probably the one you mentioned specifically -- ETF vs components.

Liquidity is fine but the PX is catatonic.
IV is not the only determining factor for option prices. Additionally options pricing can move differently with PX than expected. You absolutely should use quotes. Some sites give free EoD quotes, but you can buy quote histories.

lol What a clown. Unlike you, I did actual fact-checking of your quotes. I picked the one from the CDC director as my first one to look at. Not surprisingly, you're quote mining, taking quotes out of context, and merging two quotes said months apart. >Imagine a set of android enabled headphones that automatically switches to the device you are using, natively. Bluetooth headphones do that already. My B&W PX's from 2018 do that and so do my Sony WH-1000XM5's. That is not at all Apple specific.
Steal from the PX twice and you can get a dishonorable or be like a SGT I knew who fled to Mexico and came back when he ran outta money caught him coming back in.
Oh...damn well still go some pump left then. Could be interesting if we continue trajectory would lead us into Jackson hole. Could see that as a catalyst, but probably just hindsight/noise. We continue to play PX until then 🤔
Ahh the PX at Camp Lejeune.
The move was too steep overnight for dealers so market structure is driving the PX along with some small short covering. Once the bid is gone watchout below. Obv dealer positioning will have to be cleaned up before any real Vol
I think with dividends it’s called CAC40GR, or PX1GR.
I want to know how strong her glasses PX is! She is going to need autonomous driving asap
I was overseas deployed for the US Army 2 years ago in Iraq, the PX was selling these cheap, buy 2 get 1 free. And they were the same, appeared to be regular Oreos in a double stuff package. I thought I was nuts. Makes sense they tested this bullshit out on soldiers.
So on Juneteenth Trulieve posts a sale on grape, watermelon, banana flavored products. People get offended and they have to issue an apology. https://twitter.com/Trulieve/status/1538623049427206147?s=20&t=fYrpJ0Ao87PX4pxF9jAf8A

Looks like Ali Al Salem for the pool(Arifjan has a big ass PX next to it and I don't recall that awning) then Buehring for the tent city.

**[Electricity market](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electricity_market)** >In economic terms, electricity is a commodity capable of being bought, sold, and traded. An electricity market, also power exchange or PX, is a system enabling purchases, through bids to buy; sales, through offers to sell. Bids and offers use supply and demand principles to set the price. Long-term contracts are similar to power purchase agreements and generally considered private bi-lateral transactions between counterparties. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

Today's PX is like my marriage. Steady and slow climb up. I'd spend time with my wife if I wanted to experience that. I'm here because I want some strange.
SPX has no influence on fundamentals of RBLX only sentiment from PX, so future growth is not relative to SPX performance. Future growth would explain the rate of profitability which would answer my question though…I’ll wait
I’m sick of the “buy the quality stay away from the high flyers” narrative. The whole market has been repriced and tested there’s no more price discovery. All names should start to find their own PX and nuances
Risk management and I have no fucking clue how the markets gonna react to JPow lmao. PX is the middle point where it can rip or die lmao, but she's not showing me enough leg to get the signal.
This whole days PX was executed according to plan. If it wasn’t meant to be they would be covering their imbalances already and we would be moving the other way to a pin. They washed out a lot of retail today most def
Feels like we could dump anytime to 425. PX very shady, tape looks horrible
