Here's the analysis: "Small correction, SDGR IPO'd in Feb 2020, so call it dead money since the 2021 spike rather than a decade. As for innovating: drug discovery revenue more than doubled last quarter to $22.9M, their partnered Ajax program just landed a deal worth up to $2.3B, and they have three wholly owned clinical assets in trials (MALT1, CDC7, Wee1/Myt1). The software side is the cash engine, \~$220M ACV growing 10-15%, GPU-accelerated with NVIDIA, plus expansion into predictive toxicology and materials science. The actual model innovation is that they keep equity and royalties in drugs designed on their platform, which is how Nimbus became a multibillion dollar windfall. The bear case isn't lack of innovation, it's that none of it hits EBITDA breakeven until around 2028, and the screen scores the business, not the chart."
SDGR has been in the same range for a decade or more. What are they doing to innovate
The public examples (RXRX, which also bought peer Exscientia; SDGR) have not been good.
SDGR got my interest with their efforts towards tox and AI, but it's slow going. Rxrx has been a total dog for me for years. But in the pharma casino, the next roll could be the winner!
When will SDGR take off already lol. This is another inevitable company that for some reason hasn’t lived off yet. Anyone investing in this will be rich, it’s just so slow right now it’s boring
AI medicine, because they are going to run out of hyped up stocks: RXRX ABCL SDGR ABSI
It turned out well for my RKLB. Now in biopharma I think SDGR could be a game-changer in a few years.
I already skip RKLB. Now I hope that SDGR does the same in the time horizon that you mention, since if it manages to release its first drug in that time instead of just discovering drugs for other pharmaceutical companies, it will be valued as a software company + drug discovery + pharmaceutical company and that will multiply its price.
With what's left to fall, it's better not to touch it. For large pharma I prefer Pfizer for its great pipeline and for a future risky bet in biotechnology, I prefer SDGR which, in addition to drug discovery, could be a pharma in a few years since it is starting with its own pipeline.
- Drug discovery sector: SDGR - Aerospace sector: RKLB
Pharma, specifically biotechnology and new drug discovery as with SDGR
Better ones WSBs should be focusing on : MPW, SDGR, BGS
Beware of the AI trend. I was analyzing the company but I don't think the drug discovery model with AI alone is very good. For this, SDGR has a defined model, with results and pharmas trusting in it. It could also be a future pharma with its own pipeline under development.
I invested in RKLB and it finally took off. Also in SDGR patiently waiting for its takeoff and in CATL on the Hong Kong stock exchange
Nice write up. One thing you missed and the reason I’m invested: doesn’t even matter if it’s one of their pipeline candidates that really hits, any news (inevitable imo) of an ai discovered drug going clinical will send this and SDGR soaring
IPA is the only company that I know which is using an adapted large language model (LLM) to find target antibodies. What does that mean in plain English? Chatgpt is an LLM. The input data (which is most of the internet) is processed in a way to build in connection between words, for example there is strong connection between "United" and "States" and that encoded in a matrix. The data is fed into a neural network for training, and then prompts can be answered. IPA processes its data to include biological information on different antibodies, this is then used to train a neural network. I think their model is credible and is not BS to sell shares. I think a lot of companies are interested in using their model. Here is video of the CEO explaining their AI model [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0UqaHn5SEU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0UqaHn5SEU) I don't have a biology background but know some computer science, and her references to their AI model sound convincing. Comparing IPA to other companies SDGR market cap 1.532 Billion , AI focus: physics simulations integrated with AI, for binding affinity predictions. RXRX market cap 1.97 Billion, AI focus: cell morphology with transcriptomics, for small molecules and phenotypes IPA market cap 43.3 Million, AI focus antibody design, for target antibodies IPA has a unique focus and can be used together with AI tools from other companies. I think they do have a technological moat. Also if you look at the tiny market cap, this company could be a 10X or 20X, if you hold long enough.
# 💥 Play It: * **YOLO Calls**: $DNA, $RXRX * **Boomer Bag**: $GOOGL * **Earnings Gamma**: $SDGR straddle >
I'm getting back in tomo. Drug discovery takes 10 years and 10 billion for a single drug, these guys will (hopefully) change the world. Check out SDGR as well. Al drug disc is such a nice play because it combine two of the most psychotic stock buzz words: Al and biotech. It’s inevitable that an “AI discovered drug” will come to market
Any thoughts on SDGR? I bought $22.5 Call 2025 Jan Exp @ $3.5. should I hold til earnings tomorrow or take profit?. I feel $18 had strong resistance over long period. I am still learning on option trading. Welcome any technical feedbacks!
SDGR up 20% but everyone only care 🥭
Appreciate the thorough response. You know how it is when it comes to penny stocks, but specially biotechs when people spin them every which way. I will admit I got super lucky with RXRX and bought at 6 and sold at 9 on the run up and got a little discouraged by the results. I also own SDGR and they’ve left a sour taste in my mouth with drug discovery but seems like you have a good understanding of RXRX. Might look at them again
For those who want to fly the techbio moment, check out SDGR.

I will put it here before I upload the DD. Schrödinger (SDGR).
How are they superior to EXAI, the supposed first to bring an AI-designed drug candidate to clinical trials or RXRX, SDGR, BTAI? Big companies like AstraZeneca are as well. I keep losing money with this stock. Big drop yesterday on no news. Hoping the Microsoft partnership brings positive attention and the virus-specific t-cell therapy angle like you said.
Smaller biotech, specifically “tech bio” look into SDGR, RXRX, SANA etc. this is really the only answer right now
I wonder if they will ever try to actually monetize that or create a segment out of it. Market is willing to pay crazy multiples for ai drug companies like RXRX/SDGR/ABCL, etc which are money burning with no parent backing
If you ain’t short $RILY $NTLA $SDGR and $Snap, you’re not only immune to making money, you’re gay
Look up Schrödinger SDGR if you want something that will (well, is) benefit from AI. Gene editing sounds fancy and all, it has sounded fancy for years. CRSP is using outdated tech, $BEAM can be much more precise with gene editing. That's the thing with biotech, very ready to hype something up without assessing the whole field. Hundreds, hundreds of biotechs out there. Obsessing over gene editing when weight loss drugs and Alzheimer's/Parkinson's drugs might be the move.. Well, that's one way about it.
IMO, a potential boring winner that isn't discussed is IQV. If AI needs information to learn, they own a massive and continually growing amount of healthcare data. I have a *small* position in RXRX. SDGR has warned about hype - "When sell-side analyst Evan Seigerman was preparing to start covering the startup Schrödinger this spring, he rang up the $3.5 billion biotech’s chief financial officer, Geoffrey Porges, to get up to speed. On the phone with Porges, Seigerman referred to Schrödinger as an AI company. Porges interrupted him: Schrödinger isn’t an AI company — it’s a proprietary software and drug company." (https://endpts.com/how-will-ai-change-drug-development-schrodinger-ceo-warns-of-hype/ - 'The more overhype, the harder you fall': Schrödinger CEO warns on AI craze)
I don't own dividend trash. I've been buying gene editing companies and SDGR, RXRX in the healthcare space.
$SDGR breaking out $RIVN breaking out 😇
wtf is happening in biotech. was hoping some would bottom out to buy, but are now up like 10-15% (IONS, RXRX, SDGR)
Didnt realize RXRX and SDGR almost round tripped pre-ai hype. RXRX with the nvda investment might be worth a second look, but honestly all of biotech is just a nightmare I have tried to avoid as I move my portfolio torward GARP and high quality.
Don't own it but keeping an eye on things here and there with TMC to see how things progress very interesting concepts. then looking for a buy soon on SDGR
Yup the positions I would get out of would be “trash”. All losers. Maybe they will rebound? But who knows. ARKK, Disney, Target, Nordstrom, GM, SDGR, Beyond Meat, BABA.
SDGR and CRNC are both down 10 days in a row. They are real companies. Buy atm Oct calls.
I strongly believe gene therapy, as well as AI and computer-aided drug discovery companies, will revolutionize medicine in the near future, starting this decade. That's why, this year, I added CRSP, DNA, NTLA, ABSI, PRAX, BEAM, and SDGR to my portfolio.
I own both, but I agree with the other poster in that SDGR’s software sales will help even out their volatile drug discovery side.
This sector is profoundly interesting and until recently used to be called “computational biology.” In addition to RXRX there are a few small cap Israeli companies in this space that I own (EVGN, CGEN, PHGE) and a handful of others worth considering as well (SDGR, BTAI, SLP, RLAY). Super interesting space.
RXRX announces 50 million investment by NVDA, talk about waving your arms and shouting AI lol. Pretty bummed I jumped out of SDGR just as the ai drug discovery narrative was getting hot
SDGR does computational chemistry mixed with AI to create drugs. Pretty cool in my opinion!
Why is SDGR popping so much? Up more than 13% today.
Also work in Pharma lol. Look up Schrodinger $SDGR - literally came across them today but kind of thought before that with the help of AI your job of screening thousands of images could be shortened by perhaps predicting future "good" scans, and possibly creating the active drug molecule (or at least parts of it) from scratch. That company may not be ever profitable or a good investment, but with a $2.7bn market cap, there's 100% an idea there.
finally Ill be able to unload my SDGR bags
AI, UPST, GOOGL, SDGR…really anything after today. We rip to ATH this week.
SDGR. I bought shares about a month after they went public and after an article came out calling them “the next Tesla”. I bought at $60-70, and they’re now worth $20-30/share. I do think they’ll most likely come back up eventually, and the shares were bought through my “play” account, so if I lose everything in it I won’t be seriously impacted. I figure I’ll ride it out for a while and see what happens.
If you think Crammer is bad then I encourage you to see what Josh Brown (downtown clown) picks do... He recommended $ toast at al time high pre earning - stock dove almost 45% week after, $CHPT at 22 now 8, He recommended $SDGR pre earning 31$ now 26, Also lauded $BROS at high 40's and took a dump on it when it crashed to low 20's... in other words crammer is horrible but he is not the only cartoon character out there. I feel like there is an inverse CNBC out there not just inverse Crammer.
Yeah. I think SDGR really is a sleeper.
CGEN is the sister company of EVGN working off the same underlying computational biology / big data engines. So if EVGN is in CGEN should be too. It is also trading under $1. EVGN was spun off from CGEN more than a decade ago to focus on plant / agricultural applications while CGEN focuses on identifying therapeutics for humans, primarily novel immunotherapy targets. Both companies have made significant scientific progress without substantial business development success to date. CGEN for instance discovered the TIGIT immunotherapy checkpoint, which is now being developed by half a dozen or more companies, including big pharma, validating beyond doubt the power of their comp bio engine, as well as PVRIG, which may be the key to everything. EVGN is harder to summarize but they operate in four main spaces, microbiome therapeutics (which is listed above) being just one of these. Designer cannabis is another, and the last two divisions focus on agriculture (promoting greater crop yields and avoiding common crop diseases). So it goes a bit beyond the brief blurb above but is admittedly difficult to summarize. I’ve long been fascinated by the computational biology space, and especially these two companies. Most of the others in this space have much larger market caps — SDGR, BTAI, SLP, RLAY. Am curious if you’d consider PHGE (BiomX) AI? It uses a similar big data / comp bio approach to develop phage therapies. Bacteriophages exist naturally in the billions and are capable of attacking specific bacteria within nature including in humans. So PHGE uses big data and computer analysis to identify specific phages and phage cocktails to treat various applications (current focus on the bacterial infection concurrent with cystic fibrosis) without using antibiotics, which are broad based as opposed to phage’s specificity. They just had some good preliminary data released last week but the real indicator will be phase 2 in Q3 2023.
SDGR is a sleeper imo. Their proprietary molecular simulation software is game changing imo.
Got crushed on all my 0DTE call and put spreads today! SDGR long calls saved me and portfolio up a cool 2%
my SDGR calls printing - wish i did not sell half of them yesterday!

Fingers crossed for NET, STEM, SDGR, TWLO, and WBD tonight. Prolly gonna be rough
Biotech: SDGR Alcohol: BUD Tech: SHOP
I know biotech has a bad reputation as a wealth destroyer but I try and stay away from anything to stupid by sticking with platforms/pick & shovel plays rather than any drug makers themselves. SDGR/ABCL much more like a saas business compared to the straight up gambling investing in a pre-fda approval drug maker is imo...
Well WBD, TWLO, and SDGR not down -20% or anything and STEM looks super great with improved margins and 246% year over year growth for Q2
Im in TWLO, STEM, WBD, and SDGR gonna be a fun night
$SDGR and $PLTR will be $300+ stocks in 5 years
$PLTR, $SKLZ, $RIOT, $HOOD, $SDGR, $APPL, $VTI, $DIS calls
My biotech has been doing really well as of late, I exited ABCL looking for reentry but not getting it so far. SDGR and Ginkgo both doing alright as well.
SDGR shrugging off biotech fears is pretty impressive, some big hits on revised guidance especially due to currency issues coming out of biotech pre earnings
I bought some shares of VTNR and SDGR at close
SDGR has nothing in its pipeline, everything is in discovery aka over 10 years before any money.
SDGR hasn’t posted a profit but the push in price may be due to them breaking into the black for the first time.
I nibbled a little RKLB with U, SDGR, and TDOC trimmings. P/S is bonkers and Im keeping my position super small for now, but I want a small piece of the only publicly traded company that seems to actually be able to consistently get things into space.
It could be a big dead cat for sure, but if it does collapse I think it will be a great opportunity to scoop some more. My SDGR position never got as big as I wanted since it started moving up too fast and I had to get out of ABCL after it almost doubled up recently, so looking to reenter, and had my eye on TWST if it got much lower before it mooned away from me.
No meme stocks, but a lot of beat down speculative stocks like DOCN, IAC, SE, U, TDOC, TWLO, SDGR and a decent chunk of META/GOOGL
>Schrodinger’s market SDGR doing pretty well
Biotech has been one of the better sectors for my portfolio recently, SDGR and ABCL super strong as of late
I dont know, but I like it a lot. Im doing really well in ABCL and SDGR as of late
SDGR is an amazing company Come see in 5 years see where its at
