Wouldn't TSN be negatively impacted by this because cost of livestocks are higher? And that's raw materials for them to make chicken nuggets
$JBS and $TSN have exposure to chicken/pork/beef. $JBS owns a majority stake in $PPC. $PPC is a chicken focused company.
“Beef Segment Losses: Tyson anticipates full-year adjusted operating losses for its beef segment to reach $350 million to $500 million, impacted by cattle shortages.” TSN is down 2.96% to $56.99. Check it out on Yahoo Finance https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSN?p=TSN Not sure what ticker, but maybe not TSN
Could be a real TSN turning point.
I bought a little TSN today
Why not get ppl actually eat like Tyson TSN
Bottom of the K relief! TYSON (TSN) has announced they are now processing and selling pigeon as an affordable alternative to chicken.
>”Based on market capitalization and size, Tyson Foods (NYSE:TSN) is widely considered the largest publicly traded company that openly incorporates Christian principles into its corporate structure.”

if we're investing in real things, why not real meat? TSN
puts on $TSN. hit $64 yesterday for the first time since april fools day. Shit sat below $58 from may-December. Gonna be back to 50 soon.
Don't forget TSN and the likes for slaughtering 2B animals annually
I would drop oil; it's organic and not as difficult to produce as lobbies would previously had us believe and nicotine is a nootropic. Food processing $PEP, $KHC, $TSN and pharma are much more mischievous imo; $JNJ, $LLY, $PFE. Or you could just have a portfolio of 100% T-bills and loan money to the US Government.
I'm going to suggest a slightly different tack. If you go by pure suffering and include animal suffering, companies that engage in factory farming cause orders of magnitude more suffering than the companies mentioned so far, even though they are all undoubtedly ethically atrocious. There are almost one hundred billion animals killed each year in factory farms. Factory farming conditions include perpetual extreme confinement, mutilation without anesthesia, and chronic pain, stress, and boredom, to name a few. The amount of suffering for each animal is brutal, the duration of the suffering for each animal is neverending, and the number of animals is astronomical. Some companies are JBS (NYSE: JBS), a meatpacking company, and Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN), another meat company, and Pilgrim's Pride (NYSE: PPC), a chicken producer.
JBS - The world’s largest meat processor and exporter is being valued like it’s nothing. JBS recently launched its IPO, and to put things into perspective, TSN — its main competitor — posts an average quarterly net income of about $50 million, while JBS delivers around $550 million per quarter. Yet TSN is valued at $18 billion, and JBS is valued at just $14 billion. What am I missing here? I think we should take a closer look at this company and buy ASAP.
TSN puts. AAP calls
Good question. Let me break this down from an institutional investor perspective. **Is it priced in?** Partially, but not fully. The market tends to price in \~60-70% of expected policy changes before they happen, with the remaining 30-40% realized on actual implementation. Trump announcing tariff relief ≠ tariffs actually lifted (bureaucracy, Congressional approval, etc.). **Tickers to track:** Canadian food/ag exposure with US operations: **Direct plays:** \- **MFI** (Maple Leaf Foods) - Canadian meat processor, \~30% US revenue \- **ATD** (Alimentation Couche-Tard) - Convenience stores, cross-border supply chain \- **SJR.B** (Rogers Sugar) - Food ingredient supplier **US beneficiaries** (if input costs drop): \- **TSN** (Tyson Foods) - Uses Canadian beef/pork inputs \- **HRL** (Hormel) - Meat processor, Canada supply chain \- **CAG** (Conagra) - Packaged foods, commodity input savings **Indirect plays** (logistics): \- **UNP/CNI** (railroads) - Cross-border freight volume increase **What happens if all tariffs lifted?** Two-phase reaction: **Phase 1: Immediate (1-3 days):** \- S&P 500 pops 2-4% (risk-on sentiment, inflation relief narrative) \- Small caps outperform (tariffs hit domestics harder) \- Commodities dip (deflationary pressure) \- USD weakens (less economic friction = less safe haven demand) **Phase 2: Gradual (1-3 months):** \- Sector rotation into cyclicals (materials, industrials, discretionary) \- Margin expansion for companies with cross-border supply chains \- Inflation expectations drop (Fed pivot odds increase) \- International stocks outperform (global trade normalization) **Historical precedent:** When Trump paused China tariffs in Dec 2018, S&P rallied 5% in 2 weeks, then gave back half over 2 months (policy uncertainty remained). **My take:** This is a "buy the rumor, sell the news" setup. If you're not already positioned, wait for confirmation (actual tariff removal, not just talk). If you are positioned, consider taking profits on the initial spike and redeploying on pullback. **Risk factors:** \- Political theater (announcement ≠ implementation) \- Retaliatory tariffs from other countries \- Midterm election dynamics (policy reversal risk) Not financial advice. Just sharing my read on the setup.
Whats making you look at TSN & SYY
TSN baby! Beef prices are coming down, sales are up, earnings next week… it’s time for a consumer goods comeback. Especially after KO, KDP, and PEP all beat.
Instead of fake meat, invest in real beef production. More steak for everyone! * **Stocks:** Examples include major beef packers and food processors like Tyson Foods (TSN), or agricultural giants like Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM), which produces animal feed. Some regional beef producers may also trade publicly, such as BEEF (IDX:BEEF). * **ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds):** You can invest in ETFs that track agricultural commodities, including livestock. The Invesco DB Agriculture Fund (DBA) is one such option.
Just throwing this out there: How about real meat? TSN calls.
This will not pass TSN market cap of 18 billion. Shouldn’t at least. This is a hard sell at 10$ if it gets there.

Puts on $TSN. ICE is raiding their packing plants
HRL and TSN might be good picks. Meat prices are expected to rise a lot. Meat is hard to cut out, chocolate is not. I would wait on HSY to hit $125-$130.
You have to enjoy watching curling on TSN and wear shorts when it's 20 deg outside.
Yup saw it coming since inauguration, got 2027 puts in December on CAG, HRL, PPC, and ADM. Up 100% so far. Next week's earnings should be a blood bath. Also got 0 dte on the lat earnings for TSN and got 1.5x on those.
TSN 👀, definitely looking put-ish
https://x.com/DeItaone/status/1925913791234982098 Based on [**Nutlicker's**](https://youtu.be/-lJ81uxJ21o?feature=shared&t=413) talk with India back in April, I believe they may finally lower their **chicken tariffs** from **100%** with import caps. They offered to lower it to **25%** back in 2020, but the Trump admin wanted **10%**. Calls on **$PPC** and **$TSN** because of the massive **TAM** increase. Not to mention the JBS dual listing that just got approved!
https://x.com/DeItaone/status/1925913791234982098 Let's hope india drops some of their **chicken tariffs from 100%** to **0-10%** . **$PPC** and **$TSN** . Or they at least mention it coming in a later tranche.
selling .TSN250620P45 below value if anyone wants to scoop these for 5c
yep $TSN is our biggest chicken and beef exporter
$TSN is the largest beef exporter in the U.S. Very bullish for them. International markets for our beef/ chicken have never been opened up like this. I don't like Trump, but you'd have to miss that this is good for that sector..
PPC & TSN if the U.K concedes on chicken standards. We shall see
It's one of the biggest concessions the white house is looking for. I can't believe people on this sub haven't been doing DD on what could benefit from these trade deals. I'm as much as a neolib as the next guy, but these people are going to lose money because of their Trump hate. Even if it's bearish for the country, certain sectors will heavily benefit from these deals (depending on what they can negotiate). I think India dropping the 100% tariffs on chicken (exclusively with the U.S) is likely. This is extremely bullish for our chicken industry. It's less likely that the U.K conceded on chicken, but if they did, these lottos could print. I'm in for may 16th PPC/ TSN that I bought on the earnings dip. I will buy more for June, if nothing happens, in anticipation for the India deal.
For posterity's sake, Calls on PPC/ TSN. I think Starmer has made the concession to buy U.S chicken. If not the U.K, India will likely drop their 100% tariff on Chicken imports. Potential 100 bagger. I could write a long DD, but I don't have the karma. Of course, there is a ton of downside risk if neither of these countries concede on Chicken/Meat. Both stocks are beaten down from last week's earnings misses (Tyson is also down from beef market conditions..) I could be wrong, but these calls are cheap :v
If China will raise tariffs on U.S. meat, that will hurt US meat producers pretty bad, right? But stocks like tyson foods (TSN) are green in pre-market..
#**TLDR** --- **Date:** April 2, 2025 **Event:** Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs (34% on China, 20% on EU) **Biggest Losers:** * AAPL (Consumer Tech): Hit by tariffs on Chinese imports & potential Chinese retaliation. * CAT (Industrial Machinery): Global trade disruptions hurt sales and raise input costs. * TSN (Agriculture): Likely target of retaliatory tariffs on US meat exports. **Least Affected:** * CVNA (Used Cars): Domestic focus insulates it from trade war. * APP (Ad Software): Digital services unaffected by tariffs on physical goods. * LNG (LNG Export): Can reroute exports away from China to other markets. **Most Surprising:** * Trump still president in 2025.
I knew I should’ve dumped everything into CALM and TSN
Cal-Maine Foods (CALM) is the largest producer and marketer of shell eggs in the United States. Tyson Foods (TSN) would cover poultry meat although they also handle beef and pork.
WMT KR TSN all calls
AWK, WM and TSN. Every still needs food and water, and shit to be disposed of.
Shorting $TSN off $CALM

TSN will probably “Pop Up” 10-20% because I took a couple of 4/17 $55 puts the other day. Figured they will lose 20-30% of their workforce as they head back south to Saftey….But….Im a complete IDIOT! DYOD….mine are @ 8% loss right now looking for a 25-40% profit
did anyone buy TSN puts?
With the whole bird flu thing in the news what do you guys think about puts on TSN and PPC, 2 of the largest poultry producers in the country.
Last time this happened I made 600% on TSN poots. But stock down too much already
I've got TSN and RCL puts as well as some airlines and hotels all expiring around April. TSN puts are the safest bet but RCL and HLT have the longest way to fall. Best of luck to us

why are people buying TSN??? Tyson foods isn't going anywhere bros
Yeah, besides $DE most agr stocks have been pretty beat up. I own $MOS which reported an earning miss this morning $0.38 vs exp $0.58 and Rev $2.81B vs exp $3.28B. The stocks is down -21% YTD. I also own $NTR and $CNH. As long as grain prices remain underpressure, many agriculture stocks will not do well. However on a short term 3 mo chart $NTR and $MOS appear to have found short term support. $ADM had another accounting error and delayed their earnings call. They had a similar issue a year ago so I'm hesitant about buying that stock right now. But, if you live in the midwest everyone has heard of $ADM because they are the largest grain dealer in the country. Deere & Co reports 11/21 and that would be the agriculture stock to BTD on an earnings miss, IMHO. Tyson Foods $TSN reported an earnings beat this morning of $0.92 vs $0.69 exp and is up 6% in premarket this morning. I
🤔 You know, if you're planning on playing the MCD E. coli outbreak, you could also consider how that might affect some other suppliers like LW (fries) and TSN (chicken). Or consider their competitors, like WEN (Wendy's) or QSR (Burger King). They're all moving, too.
Look at the increased trading volume over the last week. The "why" is most likely that a big fund or bank is unloading a ton of shares, and selling pressure makes the price tick downwards. That's an unsatisfying answer, so take a look at a chart of the QQQ or any large cap tech stock over the last week. Money is moving into tech again, and it's not moving into packaged chicken Consumer Defensive stocks. TSN (Tyson Foods) looks like a direct competitor and it's recent price action looks identical. Longer term, I found this: >11:36 AM EDT, 08/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Pilgrim's Pride (PPC) faces the prospect of lower chicken prices and seasonal weakness through the end of the year, setting up "tough" profitability comparisons," BofA Securities said Thursday in a note. >BofA downgraded Pilgrim's Pride to neutral from buy and maintained its price target at $47. The chicken "supply situation seems to be improving" with egg placements and broiler production gaining, possibly weighing on prices, BofA said. >"The chicken cycle has been in a 'goldilocks' scenario for the past year as commodity chicken prices improved on strong demand" and grain prices slumped, boosting the company's gross profit spread, BofA said. After a share rally this year, further upside "appears difficult" on unfavorable profitability comparisons in the latter half of 2024 and early 2025, the note said. The chance that the beneficial chicken cycle may extend longer than expected underpins bullish prospects for Pilgrim's Pride, along with the possibility of a special dividend, though the company indicated a preference for mergers acquisitions, potentially in Mexico, BofA said. Have you checked if chicken prices are still down? This news snippit was a month ago but the situation may have worsened recently.

Oh shit TSN reports in the morning, not after close..didn't realize that
This one is hard to fundamentally analyze without doing a lot of DD. Do you have an evaluation of their pipeline, or are you basing this trade off Technical Analysis? Initial Thoughts: The current price looks real tempting (-Enterprise value + wide drug pipeline for free), but the long term indicates it could be a trap. They've been shitting on their investors capital for over 20 years, is now really the TSN turning point? It seems like Zack's has been hyping SNGX every month since at least 2019, David is magically bullish at -99%. I might keep picking away at the DD. This could spike hard with some attention or a catalyst, but the downside also seems very real. Haven't done any TA yet.
Those individual companies you mentioned are already heavily weighted in the S&P because they are all the largest companies. If this was me, I would put 10K in VOO (S&P 500), 5K in BRK.B (Buffet), and then do some more research in finding companies that are more undervalued/not at all time highs. Right now, I like: JNJ UPS CVS TSLA PYPL TSN DIS
