When the market got shaky I threw half my portfolio into ZAP and VOLT. Either we upgrade the electrical grids or collapse into 3rd world.
POW takes a different angle. It’s a picks-and-shovels play on the CAPEX supercycle to rebuild the grid.. more like transmission lines, transformers, HVDC systems, switchgear, power electronics, etc. These are the companies selling into the utilities and data-center developers who are now spending trillions to modernize the grid for the AI + electrification era. Suppliers have great pricing power.. better margins... and capture more of the capex headlines you see going into the grid.. POW has sick positions like LS Electric.. love that stock, and international exposure.. Grid needs updating regardless of AI, it's as old as Back to the Future when 1.21 gigawatts was the end of the world. Other favorites --> VOLT, GRID ETFs...
27 5min candle bodys or wicks are touching this SPY price range we are currently at today, RE-VOLT-ING
Instead of "energy" you may want to start thinking more in terms of utilities, electrification and infrastructure. This is a bottomless pit of complex opportunities, but obviously everything to do with electricity has opportunities going forward. You might want to read the information associated with ETFs aiming at benefiting from this electricity/datacenter/infrastructure phenomenon.... PWRD, UTES, VOLT, ZAP, AIPO, ELFY, NUKZ, GRID
I just bought VOLT because I do believe that energy demand will rise so fast with IA, EV and Bitcoin that it will need massive investment in the sector.
TSLA bulls gonna make some money today. DEUS VOLT.
PSCT is "Invesco S&P SmallCap Information Technology ET", but it has a fairly pitiful history. QTUM is the best bet for quantum computing, but you probably would do better with just holding rgti/qubt/qbts/ionq. SMR with tech-ish other stuff can be found in NUKZ and VOLT. There are lots of AI ones that target small caps more but I like BAI for AI.
Im feelin good about buying some TSM and VOLT calls. Thoughts?
TSM and VOLT calls. what do you guys think?
I agree EV sector is overvalued. Saying something and actually executing to scale is night vs day just ask RIDE! So many entering the space yet NOT all with execute Chevy can’t even get the VOLT built correctly. Long TSLA short the rest!
dont forget VOLT for the BTC related (so mostly miners id assume)
EXACTLY CATHY, but everyone is too scared to call them out. Ford is another, they recalled 800,000 K cars, but one person crashes in a tesla and the sky is falling. How about GM recalling the ENTIRE VOLT cars sold 🤦🏻♂️ People like Jim CRAPPER/CRAMER do NOT say NOTHING about it.
STFU about VOLT u fucking gay bear
like a lightning VOLT A up my ass . gamma tard reporting for duty
I don't know why you are having so much trouble with this. Literally everyone here is telling you the exact same thing. You can trade options with literally $2 in your account if you wanted to and you buy a $0.01 contract. Just don't exercise the damn contract! Easy! Then you don't have to worry about whether you have too much. Shares will always give you the greatest gains as they always trade 1:1. Options have a sliding scale of profitability depending on their delta values (think of it as approximately how many shares it is equivalent to or the percent likelihood -- out of 1.0 --- that the contract is going to be in the money at expiration. Let's use an example on VOLT as you seem to like it. If you buy 100 shares of VOLT right now, you spend $384. Conversely, if you wanted to play options, you could buy 15 November 19th $5 calls for $375. On the one hand you have 100 real shares that you can let do whatever they want forever until you die. You can hold onto them until VOLT hits $100,000,000 a share or hold them until VOLT goes to $0.01 a share, the market doesn't care. On the other hand, with the options you have a timeframe of 2 months for your $5 price to go in the money else you lose all of the $375 you paid for the option if you wait until expiry. Poof. Gone. Finito. But here's the cool thing. Let's say VOLT doubles to $7.68 between now and November 19th. You have made $384 on your shares, awesome! On your options, since you are effectively in control of 1500 shares you made $4125 on your options. There is literally no reason on this beautiful earth of ours that you would ever ever ever ever! want to exercise your options at $5 here. Why you may ask? Well, yes, you just made $2.43/share! However, you just gave up $4125 to make $3645 - $375 (what you paid to buy the 15 contracts) for a total net gain of $3270. Stupid trade. Sell to close the options and take your $4125 and give the shares the middle finger.
You’re paying $175 for the right, not the obligation, to buy 100 shares of VOLT for $2.5 per share. That means, in order to exercise the contract and buy the shares, you’ll pay $250 (100 shares*$2.5) plus the $175 premium to own the contract.
Let's say I buy calls for VOLT, a $4.16 stock. Ask is 1.75 for a strike price of 2.5 I could buy and exercise that right? But not if the stock was $20, am I thinking about it the right way?
$GSL and $ZIM did me so hard. I sometimes want to take profit but I dont have any industrials outside of A&D, ag manufacturing, and construction. And now I'm looking at $VOLT. Fuck me, even if I had more monies I hate splitting my chips
How is no one talking about $VOLT yet? Gonna moon after earnings in 30 minutes.

Not sure where it's available in the US, but here in the UK on T212 it's VOLT. If it's not available, I've heard good things about Global X LIT which I initially wanted to buy but isn't available here.
So... I like this idea, but I can't find it on RH, what's the ticker? Is it VOLT?
