I haven't followed the other UTXO projects closely, but a brief look over their whitepaper shows similarities in the approach, especially this section: >Proofs By Induction > >It is possible to create unique identifiers in an alternative manner and also provide a mechanism for mathematical induction \[5\] proofs using a modified transaction hash algorithm. By allowing input scripts to accept the parent transaction being spent, the rules can verify that the parent, and it's grand-parent conform to the required rules. The obvious problem is that as each full copy of the parent transactions are embedded, an exponential size explosion occurs and prevents the practical use of the technique. What is needed is a way to compress the transaction, so that a fixed sized data-structure can be used instead to derive the transaction hash, instead of requiring the full transaction contents. > >We can accomplish it by modifying the transaction hash algorithm used in Bitcoin, wherein a double sha-256 digest is calculated from the serialized transaction, into a new version that first summarizes the transaction contents to derive the hash. We introduce transaction hash algorithm version 3, to distinguish it from the use of version 1 and version 2 in Bitcoin. The process is to hash each field, or component of a transaction, to an intermediate hash, which can be used as a fixed size input and thereby avoid the exponential transaction size growth. [https://radiantblockchain.org/radiant.pdf](https://radiantblockchain.org/radiant.pdf) They use the same graphic as this post from Jason Dreyzehner to show the problem with verifying all parent transactions: [https://blog.bitjson.com/pmv3-build-decentralized-applications-on-bitcoin-cash/](https://blog.bitjson.com/pmv3-build-decentralized-applications-on-bitcoin-cash/) From the Dreyzehner article: >Proof by Induction Instead of individually validating all of a token’s parent transactions, it’s possible to employ a strategy called mathematical induction to validate them all at the same time. Basically, a transaction can prove that it could not exist without being a valid descendant of an original token-minting transaction. If a wallet confirms that this single transaction is valid, it can know the whole token history is also valid. This inductive proof is the strategy used by CashTokens. Fixed-size Inductive Proofs Inductive proofs are already possible with the Bitcoin Cash virtual machine, but they suffer from the above “infinitely growing transaction” problem. In the area of each transaction where proofs are provided, inductive proofs include the full parent transaction, allowing them to prove that the parent transaction spent a valid token. Unfortunately, because the included parent transaction also includes the grandparent transaction and previous proof in its own proof (and that transaction includes its parent and proof, and so on, all the way back to the minting transaction), each new transaction becomes larger than the last. Detached proofs offer a surprisingly simple way around this problem: the parent transaction can optionally hash its proof, including the hashed contents at the end of the transaction. By "detaching" the proof, future transactions can use the transaction in their own proofs, and all token history and previous proofs are effectively “compressed” into the hash. This change has no effect on transaction security, as a hash of the proof remains inside the transaction (unlike Segregated Witness, where proof data is actually excluded from the transaction). Effectively, detached proofs let a parent transaction optionally include 32 bytes of additional data (the hash), and in exchange, future transactions referencing that parent transaction may save KBs or MBs of data. For a detailed technical specification, see CHIP-2021-01-PMv3: Version 3 Transaction Format.

tldr; Bitcoin Cash will soon be equipped with self-executing smart contracts that are comparable to those found on the Ethereum network. The Bitcoin Cash Improvement Proposal (CHIP), also known as the Cashtokens CHIP, is one of the most talked about improvement proposals set to be implemented. The improvement is expected to provide a “1000x efficiency advantage” in comparison to Ethereum’s smart contract framework. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; Bitcoin Cash is set to upgrade on May 15 with the Cashtokens CHIP. The upgrade will allow for “advanced on-chain applications like higher-security vaults, decentralized exchanges, and bridged sidechains,” comparable to ethereum, more scalable, and cheaper, according to Jason Dreyzehner, a Bitcoin Cash developer. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Every CHIP in play. Not every chip in the casino. Also, if you visit a casino, the bulk of the floor space is not the table games that use chips, it's video poker or slot machines. Which brings their onsite cash reserves much more in line with banks.

In the early days of BTC, i remember that i read a magazine (probably CHIP or C'T) which had an short article about egold in regards to bit-torrent and file sharing. I was pretty young and tried to figure out what this emoney was and found an platform like eBay, which did only use this internet money. I remember clearly that this was BTC and someone offered around 10k for an MX518 (btw. best mouse Logitech ever produced). Sometimes i bite my own ass for not going deep enough into the rabbit hole, but on the other side, i know that i never would have kept above 1000$ in that age. But still... i have my MX518 :-)

On BCH the only upgrade will be (already implemented, activates in May '23) to support one more version of P2SH: P2SH32, to address the collision problem in multi-party outputs, read more here: https://gitlab.com/0353F40E/p2sh32/-/blob/main/CHIP-2022-05_Pay-to-Script-Hash-32_(P2SH32)_for_Bitcoin_Cash.md - Basic p2p cash use: P2PKH - Multisig: P2SH - Advanced multi-party UTXO smart contracts: P2SH32

The secure element used in the ledger is a CHIP. OF COURSE it’s closed source. It was tested to the standards of the French cyber security agency, the ANSSI. This is a reason why the Ledger is superior to other approaches, not a weakness.

Yea, it's solid. It's pretty no-frills, so don't go into it expecting much more than just being able to easily gamble with crypto lol. But the actual CHIP ASA is definitely one of the more popular ones right now since it actually has a legitimate use case. Obviously the use case being gambling won't mean much to people who aren't into that, but it has one. The people who created it are very active, doxxed, and really trying to grow the community, so at the very least it's probably not a bad random ASA to throw some money into and see what happens.

BCH is growing in usage in St. Kitts and St. Marteen. Low fees. Big blocks. Has an EVM sidechain called Smart BCH. Accepted on all major exchanges and payment services. Has 0-confirmation technology for instant smaller transactions. A lot of different developer teams. Good governance model called CHIP. Passionate community for global adoption of peer to peer electronic cash. Regulatory friendly.

BitcoinCash updated through something called the CHIP process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEoPbG5A8zw There needs to be sufficient agreement between all the parties before something gets implemented. The 6 teams maintain their nodes independently. They have different focuses, but all could be used for mining should the need arise. For example BitcoinCash kicked his most prominent node team "BitcoinABC" out when they insisted on some ridiculous stupid feature. This was a first in Crypto as far as I know. SPV wallets are already described in the whitepaper. What they do is checking your own transactions. For that they ping multiple nodes, get your transactions and validate them. They are fast and easy to use.

tldr; Bitcoin Cash is preparing to include two significant improvements in its upcoming upgrade. The Bitcoin Cash Improvement Proposals (CHIPs) approved to be included are CHIP-2021-03, which brings bigger script integers to the chain, and CHIP 2021-02, which enables native introspection opcodes. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Yeah see the thing is taxes don’t need to be raised to support universal healthcare. The federal government needs to stop misappropriating the tax dollars they already get. US federal tax dollars roughly break down like this: 28% to healthcare, CHIP, ACA, Medicare & Medicaid 24% to defense and the pentagon 13% on federal debt interest 8% to unemployment and labor 6% to veterans benefits 5% to food and agriculture 4% to education 3% to city and state government programs 2% to housing and community projects 1.5% to energy & environment 1.5% to international affairs 1% to transportation 1% to science

I think like all of those ASAs went through pretty massive price jumps when they were initially listed for staking on yieldly. Getting verified is also a big price jump. Tbh you may just be getting into these coins too late (but if you’re willing to hold I wouldn’t worry). Personally I’ve turned $60 into $1k in the past few months solely from Algo system stuff. I’d reconsider your approach before dissing the system. The casino dApp isn’t even fully functional yet and they’ll be implementing a function where players can be the house in a month or two. I’d consider buying CHIP whether you bet with it or not
