Lost my metamask wallet yesterday filled with memecoins and 2FA app, having lost 2FA access to Kraken, their customer support helped me get access to my account. Now I'm in love with their customer service!

I was part of the KTY community. Advertised as being a rugproof coin and pushed by top shitposters of r/cc. Guess what? It ended up rugging
Becoming a liquidity provider when some people from this sub created KTY for sure... All lost when the main founder rugged.

I’m here for the gains, but 6 months ago I got to know some awesome people from the sub through the KTY Project! The project is rugged but we stay in touch and thats amazing!
In December I won a airdrop of KTY here on the subreddit, It was a meme coin with a Telegram group and allthough the coin got rugged I’m still in contact with like 10-20 people from the KTY project telegram. So did I earn anything? No value but I made new friends in crypto and thats also important ❤️

I was pretty involved in that project (as an investor, not insider). I saw the post about free $KTY tokens and took part, then studied the tokenomics a bit and thought “hey this might be a good one to get into for profits”. The token launched on Christmas Eve last year, and I stayed up waiting for the moment I could put some money in. I literally wanted to put in around $2,000 to see where it goes, but times were rough back then and only had $200 to spare, so I put it all in. Then I watched the charts as my position grew over the next week or two. Turned $200 into something like $2,700 and - I kid you not - at my most impulsive state, thought “yeah I’m good with that” and sold. At the literal top, couldn’t have timed it better. I planned on buying back in later but the community began to deteriorate and decided against it. Needless to say, I know I got lucky with that one and it’s probably the last meme token I’ll ever be involved with. It’s a shame tho, I liked the community.
I also get your point - but even "free" airdrops might be actually just advertisment for a later scam. For example KTY also had an approved airdrop in this sub, and they rugpulled.
Anyone else that got the Airdrop of KTY, being massively disappointed that the dev took the money and ran. The community was/is amazing and didn’t deserve any of this. Love you guys 😻😿
I was gifted Krypto Kitty ($KTY) and Doge Cube X through this sub. I just leave it there since it’s a few dollars and it’ll cost more to exchange/sell
I buy meme coins for the same reason I buy lottery tickets. A very very (very) small chance I'll make a lot of money from a little money. I own SHIB, which I bought pretty early so I'm about even on it. And I own KTY (krypto kitty) because it was started by some people on Reddit and i got a free airdrop (and then bought more...)
I'm hella disappointed with KTY, the dev rugged and now is promising to release a V2 based on snapshot before rug. So fucking disappointed!

Sold almost all my alts quite a few months back, before the big crash, and now hold just Moons, Bricks, KTY, and of course BTC. Moved the last of my BTC off of exchanges onto cold storage. Feels *really* good to be ready for this crypto winter. Just gonna pick up more BTC as I'm able for the time being. Good luck out there everyone.

I just use MetaMask for KTY and my ledger for long-term holds. Right now, holding on Binance and Bitvavo also works fine for me. Honestly, if you haven’t invested too much to afford, then you may just leave it stored at the exchange.

There is very fine line between a memcoin and shitcoin. KTY is memecoin with a very niche community with great people. Its not another shitcoin where the motive is to pump and dump. Instead it is focused on making a good space for crypto newbies with a flavour of memcoin, they also have a educational medium for crypto articles which are translated to various international languages. KTY was already on r/cc once and had a really amazing response from people. If you don't believe me just check their telegram once, you will see why response here is so different.

Exactly, these taxes have a specific function and can serve the holder base rather than the founders if tokenomics are set right. Only shitcoin I own is $KTY and I’d be happy to see a good shitcoin moon for a change. No whale founders set out to get rich quick and a juicy charity wallet to save kittens all around the world. OP can cry all he wants, but taxes are not bad per se
To be true, even after all this long time in crypto I don't remember how most coin logos look. I just remember BTC, Moons, ADA and KTY. Just four coins. I am not even sure how ETH logo look and I saw it probably not even hundreds, but thousands times at this point. It is not just about crypto I also never remember logos of big companies too.
I would chose either CKB, KTY, Moons or ROSE.
