Mint MATE is the closest to Windows you can go, IMHO. It looks a bit dated vs Cinnamon but if it's your first jump into Linux, it's the way to go. https://linuxmint.com/download.php
Yeah. I am currently running Ubuntu MATE 22.04 with Bitcoin Core and few other things with no issue.
I am running Ubuntu MATE 22.04.2 LTS with Bitcoin Core 24.0.1 on the system drive while the data directory is on a second drive. The only thing I had to do to achieve this is adding the following line to the bitcoin.conf file: datadir=insert\_folder\_path\_here I have downloaded the binaries from bitcoincore.org. No snap or anything else. I am definitely not an expert when it comes to Linux but I got it up and running in a matter of minutes. Personally I am running Bitcoin as a daemon and I use the command line interface just to get some info but if your need a GUI you can run **bitcoin-qt** which is also included in the binaries.

Let me slap you guys some reality here. Cardano is SLOWLY and STEADILY going down and soon will be replaced by other coins out there that are not just all talk and little or no action (like ADA). This coin is going to die and you people are still believing that it will go back to 3$? MATE, if I were you I would sell now and buy something else that has a lot more potential like MATIC or SOLANA which is always in action. I expect ADA to be at 1.16$ by the end of this year and matic might replace its spot sooner or later
