MEWC is NOT worth anything above a fraction of a penny. The thousand dollar+ price is an inaccurate price, coming from tradeogre. It is an assumed API error, so its just not reporting right.
One thing to remember is that losing money is a matter of perspective. The USD value may go down while the quantity of crypto may go up. The way I trade is that I simply wait for a mismatch in values between multiple exchanges, sell a coin high on one exchange, and then buy back the same crypto at a lower price on a different exchange. What this means is that my quantity of crypto always goes up. However, it does not protect from that same crypto losing value. Example: one exchange has MEWC listed 15% higher than another exchange. I sell the MEWC on one exchange at a 15% profit, then turn around and buy back the MEWC with the earnings on the other exchange and thereby increase my quantity of MEWC by roughly 15%. Unfortunately, if MEWC drops 40%, I have still lost USD value. But, my overall quantity has increased. I’m ok with this.

RVN, ERG, FLUX, KASPA, NEOXA, MEWC… basically, all of the GPU-minable POW coins. Miners gonna mine. You are fooling yourself if you think that there won’t be some insane hype for these projects in the next bullrun. Get ‘Em while they’re cheap.
