STEPN going parabolic, Dotmoovs (MOOV) has done 800% the last week, all while the market is correcting. I haven't seen much news in this category so how do these pump happen? How do people find out about these early? I try to get in early, but it's so hard to find these gems. Anyone have a technique? I'm baffled that people are making 100x on a regular basis. Here I'm crying in my 5% gain per year coins :( Maybe one day I'll get lucky too, but so far I've been hitting flat liners. One thing I heard is that people look into rank 1000-5000 market cap coins. But those seem so risky. What red flags are people looking at, and what are signs of healthy projects? I think doxxed teams are probably a good sign these days after all the scams. Anything else? All tips are welcome.

don't worry, I bought 500 MOOV last July when it was at 0.07$. Saw it when it was 0.02$ but didnt manage to buy before it hit 0.07$. last week it was at 0.005$. the project is still going. the app works fine. in April they will add dance.

Yeah I like Dotmoovs (MOOV) a lot more actually. Pumping like crazy, but still a lowcap. STEPN's app is kinda lame, while Dotmoovs is really fun and engaging while making it possible to earn a few bucks. I can understand why it's pumping with the TikTok style dance thing coming out. Crazy market and I'm always late FML.
You have to understand what the reason is of these seemingly crazy movements. Why does it not happen to BTC? Simple answer: market cap. According to [coinmarketcap.com](https://coinmarketcap.com), MOOV's market cap is \~32 million USD now. That's a relatively low market cap. You can easily manipulate coins with small market caps. What do you do if you want to manipulate the market but do not have enough liquidity (money)? You sell desperate people a dream of getting a lambo by massively buying a low market cap coin at a certain time/signal for a certain amount of time or at a certain price. What you then do is, scam the group and sell earlier than agreed. Result: crazy prima facie gains. So, unless you are behind such schemes, there is no way for you to know about it beforehand.

No, but at a glance it looks like another really early project. If it does go somewhere, you'd have potential to make a lot. Personally I prefer ones that are more established than this. I'm not looking for a lottery ticket. If I compare what I'm doing here to the stock market, I wanted to expand my portfolio to contain a range of large, mid and small cap stocks that I wasn't currently invested in, but I wasn't so interested in penny stocks. If you're heavy into MOOV though, I wish you the best of luck!
