PoW security is over rated and unsustainable long term if the goal is to ALSO provide low fees. A cost of a 51% on nano is so high, that if someone attempted it, the result would be all current nano holders end up rich. That's one of the benefits to PoS, not to mention the lack of waste and capital entropy. I wouldn't throw shade at nano for being a concept that isn't working out IRL. LTC isn't working out IRL either. They are both working or not working equally anyways. Nano has higher throughput and is long term sustainable as a p2p cash, LTC has bad fundamentals in this regard. FWIW I think both are failing to attract use because there isn't actually a demand for a p2p cash system. LTC fundamentally can never succeed as a PTP cash at scale because of its technical limitations, Nano is already 4x more throughput than LTC with significantly faster settlement while being less vulnerable to a 51%. You asked a lot of questions in your post, I have already provided my stance and I am not going to go and do the homework of preparing a presentation on why this is my conclusion. If you don't agree, thats fine. The information is all publicaly available and I suggest you DYOR. If you want to invest in LTC thats great go nuts, Nano and LTC are both hard passes for me personally.

> Cost of a btc TX is like 7 bucks now right? 1.50 >Objectively a pretty crappy PTP cash service compared to competitors. It's trustless but for 7 bucks a use I am ok with trusting paypal. or my bank. Centralised services using IOUs. Centralised L2s really. >BTC was always supposed to scale, but the community refused to do it. Security was put before grocery shopping. bacsh has bigger blocks but is still worthless vs. Visa. L2 is the answer. Visa after all is an L2.

Pretty much, I use Non Custodial Solutions/ PTP. No point in letting dodgy Fucks Like CZ Fraud have your Money, He's only just integrating The Lightning Network, After skimming every cent he can charging way beyond The actual Current Bitcoin hash rate, Using Same Rhetoric like 'Owh bitcoin can be busy sometimes, lol' It's true but he's using it as an excuse, so many people scammed by these centralised Shitcoin exchanges due to lack of understanding it's unfortunate, he's loaded his pockets on The ignorance of the Many & will continue to manipulate The Market. 10x fees on actual current rate, Charging random numbers to force customers to keep the currency in his centralised controlled authority. Coinbase forced Bitcoincash to 1.8k before it was even issued, Binance Front ran it's customers for years, knocked its own servers offline for Competitive advantage. I've seen plenty of Centralised Solutions get knocked off due to AWS & the bots still continue to "Trade" Binance are the Biggest Wash trading Fraudsters of the Lot, They claimed BSC as a Scam free alternative to Eth lol, he's not interested in Cryptos prosperity just filling his dodgy pockets. Insurance and financial advisors? They're also Scams, See Simpsons Dumbbell indemnity or Family guy Volcano insurance etc it's all been portrayed somewhere at some point. Lots of regulation coming that's why Binance is panicking trying to adapt after years of clear fraud. Centralised exchanges Shouldn't exist. Mica regulation just came in, Binance refused to even verify it's customers for years, It's The Biggest Fraud which tried to paint it's picture as a Saint when he's a different breed of dodgy, playing innocent when he knows his platform is full of fraud, Look how quick he Listed Shitcoin Pepe after buying some to dump on The Ignorant Time & Time Again. Personally I suggest for New Cryptonoobs: Self host your Wallets, Use Kraken & withdraw when possible. I use a completely different solution but I'm not as self serving as these Exchanges which are only after whatever they can get away with. I personally use L2 Bitcoin solution, once it's on The second layer I can trade for Eth polygon usdc etc all Non Custodial, Withdraw Polygon straight back into my non custodial wallet without anyone other than me interacting with The Coins, No 24hr wait times no pending Auth etc. Hopefully crypto moves forward as certain parts of it need to die off.

What’s the cheapest way to buy BTC? I have a Binance account - is it best to just click on the BUY tab and select one of the options (PTP trading; card/ bank accounts; cash balance). Is there a way to buy with best rates and lowest fees?

TL;DR Onchain research has discovered that wallets connected to Sam Bankman-Fried, the co-founder of FTX, transferred a number of previously unreported transactions across various blockchains. The transfers were discovered by Conor Grogan, a director at Coinbase, and while most of the transactions took place on 28 December 2022, there was some recent activity in the first few days of 2023. Bankman-Fried has denied involvement in the transactions and said he does not have access to the funds. Some of the transactions were carried out on blockchains including Polygon, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Arbitrum, and Avalanche. The addresses saw outbound movements for coins including MATIC, AVAX, USDC, USDT, BTCB, WBTC, SPELL, PTP, MDX, and others. Onchain researcher Ergo has also tweeted about some FTX-linked bitcoin movements on 4 January 2023, stating: "Likely bankruptcy team activity."

I have automatic weekly DCA BTC buys going on BitSwan - not even paying attention. However, I am interested in peer-to-peer but felt it was risky. Any insight or resources on how to buy PTP safely? And this post is right on! No news is good news. All the BS speculation is tiresome.

I highly doubt it that they are using NTP. Most likely they are using PTP, which is super expensive btw

I get your point. However in order to get the so wanted mass adoption, we must rely on exchanges. Don't think the ordinary Joe will start buying BTC using PTP

That’s the reality of PTP games these days. Ideally would be a nice balance between entertainment and incentives, but yeah it always shift to the money over time. It’s a business after all.

It is one of only a few places offering leveraged yield farming on AVAX, you can borrow against the PTP/AVAX LP continue to earn and either leverage or take your stable coin loan and invest elsewhere while continuing to earn. I know more vaults are on the way, I think they are struggling with finding ways to differentiate themselves but I do believe they are interested in doing so and so far have taken community feedback to heart pretty well as well as remained pretty transparent about what is going on overall.

One thing I always take into consideration when I'm Introducing new people to Crypto or hardware wallets is that I refuse to talk price action. I let them know if you do your DD and you believe in a project, then those coins are worth putting into cold storage. I look at cold storage as like the precursor to cell phones capable of caller ID. like the cold wallets we have today are the equivalent to beepers in the early stages of telecommunication. I believe there will be plenty of PTP transactions held on future cold wallets by passing the internet all together.

I play an NFT game much like axie infinity but way smaller. It offers the chance to 'recruit' new heroes and I just hit a 1/10000 and got the best NFT card possible. It is worth $1000 and I'm at a loss for words...... Selling that shit instantly as I only got in to see how PTP blockchain games work.

No the Private Key is synced to your other devices one time via PTP QR code. New 2fa keys are *technically* synced through the cloud but they are encrypted and can only be decrypted by your phone. The same principles as a hot crypto wallet.
