You have to give them hope and inspiration for the future! Like promising that, under their leadership, you will get slightly less robbed by the banking system. And of course, the importance of learning to SMILE as your economic value is systematically stripped to the bone. Justin is especially good with that one, from what I can tell as an American outsider.
that’s a great list and wish i had something similar previous to 2022. I’m deep in the algorand ecosystem and don’t have too much exposure to BTC/ETH which I should’ve. I have stable coins which I use to DCA but it what it is. Currently in $ALGO, $YLDY, $SMILE, and $OPUL. Portfolio is maybe down 60% from ATH as made so good trades in 2021. Would’ve been worse if wasn’t for those trades. But I just truly enjoy using the chain to swap, stake, etc. It settles in 4s which is the fastest I’ve used in comparison to ETH, SOL, and Terra/Luna. I’m earning about 30-125% APY which roughly is about 40USD a day which I DCA into ALGO but may DCA into BTC now with the current times. I plan to reallocate portfolio to maybe 25% BTC, 25%ETH, 10% USDC, and maybe 40% alts which include ALGO and its projects.
I'm considering ReLex SMILE treatment. I'm just afraid getting drier eyes than I already have.
I’m huge supporter of Algo and enjoy using their protocol. They have great wallet apps like Pera Wallet and Defly which you can download from the AppStore. I use apps like Yieldly to stake and and farm various tokens for yieldly and even use $SMILE (smile coin) to play prediction betting games which you can earn up to 125% apy if you have certain level of streaks. But when use the algorand blockchain you’ll realize how fast it is in comparison to say Terra, Luna, etc. their consensus meanchism/proof and transaction speed is one of the fastest at the moment. Also the founder is Silvio Micali who basically who is an MIT professor, Turing award winner which is like the Nobel peace prize of cryptography I believe or computer science and he developed zero knowledge proof which is what many proof of stake blockchains use like Cardano. The price is low atm but I feel that in the future Algorand will be the rails for bitcoin, eth, and other L1s that want the scale to the masses

YLDLY is an obvious front runner. But also OPUL is below its initial price. SMILE is in the same position. Most of the more used ASAs aren't even on CoinGecko.
Most ASAs seems high risk, medium reward. I remember trying to research ARCC and SMILE and being really put off by the lack of information. Out of curiosity, how many chains have you explored? I've dabbled in many of the chains defi spaces and Algo is always really underwhelming. I've found the folks pushing Algo defi as not having had the oppurtunity to look at other chains and are big on the "it doesn't have ETH gas costs" I think with Algofi as a very new money market and yieldly starting to offer tinyman LP rewards, the ecosystem has the potential to blossom up into better returns. But I think other spaces are offering better risk adjusted returns.

Did i mention we ahould never buy btc or eth because too many people talk about it? DEFinitely don't buy algo and actually try using it because, and this part is actually serious, you probably won't want to buy any of those other L1s anymore. In all seriousness, I used ETH's defi ecosystem like crazy when it first popped up and it was obvious it was going to explode and then become unusable one day. Been using Algorand's ecosystem since day 1 (first apps this summer) and, once again it is obvious this is going to explode but I don't see this becoming unusable one day. I truly think it is the actual future L1 that we'll all be using 2022+. If you're not accumulating ASA alt coins then you're prepare to relive the fomo of seeing ETH's defi ecosystem take off without you once again. I'd recommend YLDY, OPUL, SMILE, and soon AlgoFi, ZONE, FolksFinance, XGLI and lots more down the road lol. Just got a bridge for BTC and ETH (AlgoMint GoBTC and GoETH). Liquidity staking coming. GlitterFinance bridging from SOL, DOT, etc to bring more value over as well... This is on the very cusp.
Join the algo subreddits to inject that hopium first. Get an official algo wallet (I like the official phone wallet) for better rewards and control over your use. Next round of governance starts in a couple weeks, make sure to read and understand the requirements to make sure you commit, vote, and hold your balance correctly. Try a faucet for ALGO, SMILE, YLDLY, and some other airdrops going on right now of ASA. feel the power of fast transactions for .001 ALGO each. I cant speak for SMILE, but OPUL got killed due to some Twitter fallout with one of the people (I think an ex Sony Music head) leading the project.
Yieldly seems like a decent way to squeeze out some temporary high %. Seems to drop after a few months (e.g. SMILE, OPUL)

Akita Inu, then Kitten Coin. Run of the mill shitcoins that you're going to find in any functional trustless ecosystem. SMILE and GEMS are both legitimate projects; both have their issues but show plenty of promise as well, although investing in any ASA other than YLDLY is still fairly high risk considering the low volume/ liquidity.
I’m getting 4.5% BTC and 5% ETH on BlockFi. 100% APY for holding SMILE coin in my algorand wallet. And about 40% on yieldly.
This isn't really the sub for it but was anyone able to play the games on the SMILE dapp? It just said 'coming soon' and then nothing else on the app

I know algorand ASA SMILE is looking to start a gambling interface with it’s coin. I have no idea if it will work, I think they have some infrastructure now. They announced something about even some no loss lottery options. I assume those work off of a staking system. I know there are other casino games in the crypto sphere, but I have not checked them out.

My understanding Yieldly platform helps these newer projects obtain significantly more liquidity and attention early on than they would on their on. Each project directs a set number of their tokens to a Yieldly staking pool which are slowly released every 30 minutes for 30, 60, 90 day, etc until the pool. People staking their Yieldly tokens into whatever pool are just earning their share of the set number of token proportional to their stake in the pool. The best part is, and the main reason the APYs are so high is that you have to choose which pool to stake your Yieldly (YLDY) in and there are only so many YLDY to go around. Also, these tokens are so new to trading that the prices are very volatile, thus sometimes wildly changing the APYs shown on the Yieldly platform. No matter, this doesnt directly affect the amount of tokens you would recieve from staking. Right now I believe you can stake into 5 different pools: YLDY-->YLDY/ALGO YLDY-->OPUL YLDY-->SMILE YLDY-->ARCC YLDY-->GEMS. YlDY-->XET coming soon. Having all of these different pools spreads out everyone's YLDY and since these are set numbers of tokens being released, it in turn increases the APY, which. Using the platform is a great way to gain low risk exposure to new projects regardless of the YLDY token price movement or lack thereof.
I hodl yieldly and do the daily staking there. They have some other staking options for OPUL, ARCC, and SMILE. I've been exclusively staking for Yieldly and ALGO, anyone know much about the other coins? All fairly low market cap, but can't say I've done much research on them.

Also NFT lottery for staking your Yieldly. Also look into Tinyman. There's LPs, very smooth swap feature, ability to redeem small excess amounts leftover from trades

Hey, I staked some algo and swapped some algo to smile and staked it, do you know why it doesn't show smile rewards (APY) changes in algorand wallet? Like similar to algo asset showing rewards in real time. Thanks again! For now I put small amount 20-30$, what risks are there for staking more in SMILE?
I'm betting on the nascent Algorand DeFi ecosystem. So I've recently bought YLDY, OPUL, and SMILE.
Anyone know anything about SMILE coin? I'm staking my YLDY and they have an option to stake SMILE for more SMILE at 325% APY. Obviously I know just because APY is high doesn't make it a good option, so want to know what others think about the project.

Good question, and one I don't have an answer to, but since OPUL, SMILE, and YLDY are all early, i think just putting something in now is a good idea.

Not sure if you actually did research on Yieldly but it seems you don’t know much about the token’s current utility. In just a few months after launch, YLDY can be used (1) in an ERC20->ASA bridge, (2) as a launchpad for other Algorand projects like OPUL and SMILE, and (3) to play lotteries with Algo and NFTs. Yieldly also have more utility planned in their roadmap.
