What I hope NFTs and crypto evolve into (soon): Full immersion deep dive VR with full body stimulation and a fully accessible economy wherein you can buy stuff that kind matters OR even get digital versions of your real world stuff, if you’re into that. It took me about 40 hours of study to start to wrap my head around what Bitcoin truly is. However long it takes you IT IS WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT to learn it. It will change your life, and how you view money. I too am quite busy with work so i’ve relied on audio books and podcasts to a large extent. ( On your drive to work, lunch break, etc. ) I recommend books like The Fiat Standard, Bitcoin Standard, and Layered Money.
Never through improper wallet transfer but in 2012 I unknowingly spent about 2.1 million dollars worth of Bitcoin on.....things on the Silk Road. D'oh! I mean, I had fun with those.....things....but not 2 MILLION DOLLARS WORTH 🤣🤣🤣
That's not the fault of Bitcoin though. And that's certainly not what Bitcoin is WORTH. That's just what the exchange rate to US dollars is. It is completely possible to create our own independent economy with Bitcoin and never touch another US dollar again. It's just very difficult to achieve.
It’s always viable though. You don’t need to hold x amount to make it worth it, the price of the wallet is essentially a flat one time fee for peace of mind. No it may not seem like it’s worth it when you’re spending 25-50% of your portfolios value to safely hold it, but for whatever reason, once it is worth it, it’s WORTH it. Good sleep comes at a price.

And the green peoples should love to know that Bitcoin rigs are the first tool WORTH OPERATING to reduce flare off gas, like Exxon has done and is expanding to other regions. It enables people to escape inflation/dying monies all around the world. Truly taking ownership and storing your value over time- promotes peace, for you, for your family, maybe even for your community and local businesses in the long run ... Instead of struggling/starving, you can afford food, shelter and more, local commerce, agriculture, society is all tied to our individual prosperity. "Personal Responsibility" is huge but 99% of humans have never had full control (or any really) of their money - until Bitcoin. It enables individuals to save, rather than gamble their value on a stock market or subscribe years of their life to debt... It enables generational wealth and long term sustainability. People continue to opt out of this top-down value leeching fiat system, they're realizing that inflation is the theft of our hours/days/years of hard earned pay... inflation is \[generally\] a tax, in the form of bailouts and subsidies for the ultra wealthy. Inflation is a form of slavery... Intended or not, it's no conspiracy, just reality. I believe we'll find a LOT more prosperity and a LOT more peace as a result of greater Bitcoin adoption. Give people money that's WORTH saving... give them a longer time horizon... question, not a snarky one though it may seem so. how do you expect it to work? your landlord wants say $1000 a month for rent. you want to pay in crypto. do y ou agree to pay X amount of crypto a month no matter the price? or do you pay $1000 WORTH of crypto a month? adoption or no, everything out here is still based on the almighty $$. if you agree on a crypto amount, then one month your landlord may be getting screwed in value, the next month you might be.
