I've noticed from the start trump wanted to start a war with someone. Anyone. At first an economic trade war with europe was more plausible than with China that openly agreed with their terms. Then shifted to the Greenland threats. Then the military keeps taking soldiers out of european NATO defense bases. Along with the OPEC cartel, the guy started a war against the whole world in iran, and europe is the most affected economically. And they will keep this going for a long time, until the dollar strengthens. Because they have so much debt and annually the inflation is overwhelming in the US. One of the reason is that China kept dumping their debt as bonds. The housing market turned to shit and there's a never-ending drug and homeless epidemic. Right before a collapse and mass civil uprising like it almost started with the ICE conflicts a year ago, they always seem to start a long war to keep everyone distracted and renew the economy. But this time, as they systematically try to destroy europe, they have no idea what a catastrophic consequence would be regarding inflation if the main european bond buyers start dumping the debt on par with China. Even if this scenario isn't plausible, it's still possible at least the buying will stagnate. The US bond market is a scam anyway. They seem to pay about 12-13% interest per 3 years, while every 3 years they print 20% and absolutely devalue the whole investment. You must be extremely stupid to buy into this scam. But europe has always been manipulated to do it as a measure of payment in NATO protection, which also seems to be a scam now when russia finally started to look like an actual threat to europeans, they're leaving the bases like cowards.

Crazy thing is that this would be achievable if not for the brain dead stupid stuff the GOP has done just in the last 1.5 years. We need to shave 1, maybe 2% of GDP off the deficit for the deficit to be similar to GDP growth. That's $300-600 Billion. Ending the war and the increases in military spending since 2024/2025 gets us probably $200 Billion. Cut ICE back to its previous budget gets us $50-$100 Billion. Ending the tariffs will reduce revenue but we're refunding that money anyway, and it will reduce inflation which will allow bond yields to come down, reducing what we pay in interest. Those 3 things get us at least halfway there without even touching taxes. Corporate profits are like $5 Trillion with a T per year now, a $300 billion tax increase would barely be a blip, and that gets us the other 1% of GDP we need. And if we actually tried we could do even better, this is just off the top of my head.

Anything of those applications are covered by helicopters, that are cheaper, have more pilots, and a great deal more variety. Joby and Archer compete at a low tier, I.e if a few execs come in with more than weekender bags, these EVTOLs will not be able to accommodate without multiple trips to and fro. In specific markets where noise and emissions become important, they may have applications. But we are far far away from helicopters being banned. Further than regular ICE ground vehicles being banned. Definitely not right away. It might actually take two full terms before we can win back some trust. Our biggest allies will come back I think if we actually start making changes starting in November. As a Canadian who took two to five trips per year to the US for vacation and professional partnships, I am not stepping one foot on US soil for a long time. Plenty of politicians enriching themselves via private deal during COVID, not much happened about that, maybe a fine that is 1/100th of the money those corrupt politicians made and that's about it. ICE is apparently actively kidnapping american citizens (I don't live in the US and didn't experience this during my 2 weeks vacation recently) and people can't do much about it. The americans got total observation 24/7 and I'm not just talking flock, this shit has already been going prior to flock cameras were even a thing. We live in a time where almost every politician in a higher position is a corrupt egoistic fuck and shit doesn't seem to change at all. What do we get? A theatrical performance that makes you think left and right politicians would be fighting but in reality all camps have twats that are simply corrupt af solely being in a political position for their own gains. So what do you want to do? Because even if you would start a civil war I'm gonna claim corrupt politicians will simply support the other corrupt politicians, even when they're not from the same country and not reigning in the same government, because those little corruption networks are international. The world is being ruled by CEOs and corrupt politicians, there's a reason why the Epstein files aren't released or if they're released, heavily redacted.

Remember the actual president threatening to label all these non-existent or peaceful groups as "terrorist organisations?" Examples include DCS, antifa (might've been successful there), and Democrats, plus anyone who speaks out against Dear Leader. Groups *not* in danger of being labeled terrorists--MAGA (admitted and proud domestic terrorists), KKK, Nazi's/Proud Boys, ICE, etc... It's a slightly scarier time to be seen protesting anything now than say 10 years ago.

One thing all of you are missing: Fabs are being built like there is a never ending need for memory and chips. Ai could have plateaud. This might be it. The assumption is that it’s going to take over everything, just like we were told evs are going to instantly dominate the entire car market and ICE will be over by 2030. It hasn’t happened, and at this rate it won’t be until 2100, if it even happens at all. The clamour for batteries and the materials has gone very quiet.

I bought Disney because at that time I didn't see much better opportunities, but that drastically changed and I still continued to hold. I should have bought more V, MA, RACE, BKNG or open positions is Moody's, ICE, CME, Abbott etc.

I m literally this morning thinking of how much of Disney to trim. It's 4.6% of my portfolio. Bought year and a half ago at 91$, then added couple of times at around 112$. While I was holding, many better opportunities come and gone, and I didn't buy them because I was fully invested in things like Disney. I think the stock is not expensive and will go higher, but the problem is that some much better opportunities come and I can't react because Disney is long term investment. I can't get over for not seeing CME and ICE, two months ago. The reason I m missing such opportunities is constantly following stocks I already own while not being satisfied with.
