He's banking on his new government friends to bail him out Along with 80 billion for 42,000$ bonuses to ICE agents they also asked for 800 million to purchase "renewable energy vehicles for cost effective upgrades to fleet" for ICE as well in the R's new budget.....bet those are Tesla's.
Apparently they're reopening a private prison in Michigan as an ICE detention center. The facility will be contracted out to GEO Group, a private prison company and campaign contributor. This is all just extracting tax payer dollars to Trump's largest donors. https://www.mlive.com/public-interest/2025/05/in-rural-michigan-a-prison-is-reopening-as-biggest-ice-detention-hub-in-midwest.html
All the foreign teams getting deported by ICE during the world cup should be interesting.
One of the companies I truly hate with ambition, Alex Karp is one of those amoral technocrats, very high valuation too, is involved with other very sus activities with ICE and the US army as well as insurance, I do believe people who work there knowing this are the villians of our lifetime.
No, the kind that murder Americans, take our jobs, and belong in an asylum. We gotta deport them. ICE needs to get on that asteroid right the fuck now!
I've seen posts of national park employees telling the public that a lot of their staff has been fired. Doesn't sound like they are doing well And I am not even living in the USA and I have seen videos of people being kidnapped by masked ICE agents. Tourists from Germany have been detained for weeks. Same for Canadians So no thanks. No need to waste my money as long as some weird second rate dictator is rampant in the USA. Used my money to go to the Maldives just recently and it was a 100% right decision
banbet ICE will raid CInco De Mayo celebration this year
Didn't he just decide he can use ICE to deport basically anybody? Wasn't that what republicans just confirmed in congress? At this point I'm mainly reading the headlines because Republicans are willfully overloading us with bullshit press releases, announcements and actions, and as a European, I have other concerns besides the USA as well.
The problem with this idea is that it's now much harder for Mexican cartels, Italian crime families, and the Russian mafia to even operate in the U.S. It’s tough to run new smuggling schemes when you're constantly dodging ICE.
I think Jesus was deported by ICE
There is no 'force' to be had you dunce. You realize that ICE vehicles have significantly more subsidy over many more years than EVs ever had right? Not even talking about oil and gas to fuel those vehicles and the incredible amount of subsidy making O&G rich as fuck. If anything, America has been getting forced to buy ICEv for decades. Get off fox news.
They’re nervous alright. But not over a $2 cheeseburger. They’re afraid they’ll take little Marisol for a happy meal, just as ICE stormtroopers walk in. It’s crazy. Just people. Babies and mothers and abuelitas. BIG billion dollar corps need to stand up against Trumps brand of cruelty. It’s not “conservative”; it’s just hate.
Do you know how many cars catch fire per year? You think vehicles running on combustible fuel catch fire LESS than EVs on average? It's about 0.025% rate for EVs in the US (most of those are Tesla) vs 1.53% for ICE vehicles. Take this shit to r/technology.
Palantir Technologies has a $30 million contract with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) to develop a new immigration tracking platform called "ImmigrationOS". This contract is related to the Trump administration's focus on deportations and is designed to streamline the identification and apprehension of individuals prioritized for removal, including those who have overstayed their visas. Palantir stock has seen some movement related to this contract.
Its more likely than not with the way ICE behaves. They repeatedly do not follow laws The burden of proof is on the uncommon thing, not the common one
I wonder how much of the "fear of ICE officers" is due to constant fear mongering by the MSM.
I mean, who wants to come here and potentially get rolled up by ICE because they don't speak enough english
Well no shit. People can’t afford to travel anymore, and the rest of the world isn’t very welcoming of us right now. Plus, there’s no guarantee we won’t return just to then get taken by ICE and shipped off somewhere else
These fucking europeans really don't like going to a country where they could be sent to Super Terrorist Prison in El-Salvador because they looked at an ICE agent at the airport the wrong way, huh?
The trust will not come all the way back even if SCOTUS strips the President of the tariff authority. If it's just Trump back peddling the trust will not come back at all. And yes the foreign tourism thing is an entirely different beast, driven by horror stories from ICE treating tourists like criminals (and specific to Canada the imerialistic annexation talk). That is not going away no matter what happens with the tarriffs, the tourism industry will bleed for a long time.
I’m sorry but this argument makes little sense. You’re implying through your rant, that China is doing some kind of “manipulation” because they heavily subsidised a frontier industry? In fact we need more governments doing this kind of things. Tesla also received a bunch of government subsidies to get going. It’s not Chinas fault the US government never bothered to go far enough to transition to NEVs because you got establishment ICE carmakers and climate change deniers in office.
I struggle to think of any country's citizens that would visit here, knowing they could get scooped up by ICE at any time. Even citizens are not immune to being scooped up for 10 days despite being citizens.
Wait. Is this why ICE Barbie had 3Gs in her stolen purse?
There's simply no way that will ever be viable even if they want to try to crack down on EVs. EV tech will only get better and cheaper overtime, making them more desirable for consumers. And long term car companies aren't going to want to support both ICE and EV vehicles, it would double a bunch of their costs to do so.
You also seems to forget that the central government was heavily incentivizing their domestic brands, with a variety of financial programs, trade barriers, and official propaganda. Take a look at the EVs you mentioned. The government provides subsidized land, materials, and power to the domestic automakers. The workforce is captive and does not have unions to solicit for fair wages On top of all that, the central government and the provincial governments given buyers half of the purchase price of the vehicle, but only for chinese domestic brands. The buyers of those chinese vehicles are given free vehicle registration, which is around $1,200.00. In many provinces a car buyer has to get licence plates in advance of buying a vehicle, which may not always be issued to ICE vehicles. However, for chinese EVs, buyers always get them, in advance, for free. This all occurs amidst the backdrop of official government propaganda of "national pride", highlighting domestic products, while demonizing foreign products. Is it any wonder why chinese EVs took off domestically?
First of all, it was Biden that raised the import tariffs on Chinese EVs to 100%. Next, Tesla is doing well in China, given their price point. For example, the Model Y leads its sales segment and dominates over NIO and BYD in that segment. Xiaomi recently joined as a strong competitor, willing to price aggressively against the Model 3, but there is still gaps with crash safety and technology. The broader reduction in ICE vehicles is the bigger story, with German automakers suffering large drops too. Traditional legacy automakers without advanced software are likely to continue to suffer. And the U.S. political position wrt fossil fuels likely pushes legacy Detroit to less and less globally competitive positions, where only the U.S. will continue to buy most of their products, and even then, the economics of EVs will end up taking over.
Japanese over took usa in making better ICE cars. It's now china for evs.
Magic money, they also want to add billions for ICE.
PLTR already scraped my data and are sending ICE agents to my house as we speak
There was no need to force them to the table. We have agreements in place, some signed by trump. He is hellbent on causing chaos, nothing else. Why did he pull out of the Iranian nuclear deal, only to try to negotiate a new one? He has no plan, no morals, no principles he is just pure chaos and vengeance. That is it. Honestly, tell me 1 good thing he has done. Just 1 that is beneficial to anyone but himself. And you are wrong, he is currently running right us right of a cliff fiscally, globally and in regards to our institutions and norms. You are really ok with deporting us citizens? Which how would that even work. Americans are from here. You really are ok with ignoring court orders? You are ok with judges being arrested? You are ok with no due process? You are ok with ICE being vigilantes and pulling people off the streets because they feel like it? You are ok with pulling out of agreements on a whim? If you are fuck you, you are the problem and hopefully will have the day, week, month and year you voted for.
Don't worry, ICE will just arrest the packages and deport them.
Palantir Wildly profitable, wildly dystopic. >Such horrendous “mistakes” are hard to understand, considering the enormous amount of advanced targeting AI hardware and software provided to the Israeli miliary and spy agencies—some of it by one American company in particular: Palantir Technologies. “We stand with Israel," https://archive.ph/oTXnf Palantir's partnership with ICE deepens >In supporting the Trump administration's deportation apparatus, Palantir is complicit in those human rights and constitutional violations, https://www.axios.com/local/denver/2025/05/01/palantir-deportations-ice-immigration-trump Even if you agree with everything they do and welcome complete global surveillance, Thiel and Karp having that much control and influence in the world is an extraordinary risk. Karp's whole sales pitch is that the new world order will rely on AI dominance (that they will control and mediate). Thiel says democracy and capitalism are incompatible. It's a lot of different flavors of evil to choose from: atrocities, the death of freedom or helping countries find thought criminals with drone swarms TBD!
I wish BYD had no tariffs on them in Canada. Tesla would be wiped right out of the country. Same in the USA actually. And anywhere. Despite what people say, it is only inertia that is keeping Tesla alive right now, in China. Cost/Benefit for BYD is much, much higher. And I'm someone who thinks we rely on China too much. But in this case, they do make a better EV, just like Japan and Europe make better ICE vehicles than the USA.
Let’s see: 1-continued sales declines for a variety of reasons including increased competition especially from China; 2-the grift with FSD for any car owner is over, robotaxi was supposed to include owners and it NEVER will; 3-robotaxi is woefully behind everybody now and their ability to catch up using existing tech is very low, but in they interim their operating costs will increase; 4-changing rules/laws around ICE cars and regulatory credits that Tesla absolutely needs to survive. I could go on and on, including so much of the misinformation (unintentional and intentional) out there about this company, the failure of so many retail traders in understanding any of it, and how disconnected any pipe dream coming from Elon is disassociated from the factual failing financials of this company. Retail traders should run away from from this stock as fast as they can. It will blow up this year.
Tesla has cruised off of lies and cult of personality for so long that they've been surpassed in every category that they used to be leaders of. They started as a visionary and exciting alternative to the standard ICE and electric cars of the era. But while they rested on laurels of the past, their competitors were actually developing. Tesla has been left in the dust, as well as having a scarlet letter attached to their brand. I wish it was time to short it, but there still seems to be some steam left in that engine. Soon though.
Oh dear lord. What a scapegoating mess your arguments are. So, you say German car manufacturers are struggling and simultaneously claim EV adoption rates are low everywhere in Europe. How, then, are German car manufacturers struggling? Maybe because people are buying cheap EVs like crazy all over the world - just not in Germany, where 16 years of Merkel killed any incentive for manufacturers to invest in the future. Now they're struggling to compete with Chinese EVs or other international EV manufacturers in general. Then you say EV adoption in Germany is low anyway. Well, could that be because German EVs are ridiculously expensive and subpar compared to other international brands? Brands that also face hefty import tariffs to keep German EVs competitive, making EVs economically unviable for the average consumer? > Germany continuing on ICE, what they do best, absolutely wouldn't be an issue if the green party wouldn't want to phase them out. It would be an issue - because, you know, the future is now. Sticking with over 100-year-old technology in today’s fast-moving, ever-evolving tech age is absolutely idiotic. Also, the phase-out of fossil fuel engines was initiated AGAIN by the CDU/Union-led bloc in the EU Commission, not by the Green Party. It just happens to align most closely with their ideology, which is why they supported it strongly. Check your facts, man. > They're saying, hey, stop what you're best at and do this new thing because we're gonna shoot ourselves in the foot by making everything you do illegal. Complete and utter illogical nonsense. What they’re actually saying is, “Hey, start investing in the future so you don’t fall behind the competition. The world is changing, and you’re acting like an old fossil clinging to tech that the consumer market is already phasing out. You’re the one shooting yourself in the foot.”
I don't know if you're from europe or not, but a fact is that the vast majority of people aren't interested in buying electric cars (14% electric in germany). The overwhelming majority of car purchases are ICE with an ever so slight adoption rate of electric. Germany continuing on ICE, what they do best, absolutely wouldn't be an issue if the green party wouldn't want to phase them out. They're saying, hey, stop what you're best at and do this new thing because we're gonna shoot ourselves in the foot by making everything you do illegal. China just happend to control the rare earth market for batteries and they're definitly not gonna charge unreasonable prices in the future for it.
You got downvoted because your analysis is wrong in arts. You got the dependenc, on the ICE cars right though. Traditional manufacturers relied to heavy on old technology and the government did little to nothing to build out infrastructre for EV cars. Germanys biggest car market is China and they are losing market share day by day. Shutting down nuclear was the right thing to do. LNG is no substitution to nuclear. Its a substitute to cheap russian gas.
What happened to germany is exactly what happens to a country which main industry is based on automotives and the population is stupid enough to vote for environmental friendliness, they destroyed their own economy, germanys car manufacturers can't compete in the electric car indsutry and considering the EU wants to completely phase out ICE cars, germanies economy is going to die. Then there's the option to accept that whatever the EU does in environmental friendliness is not gonna have a meaninngful global impact, back paddle with the regulation, and save the biggest economic powerhouse the EU has.
The fact there will be less than 50 cargo-laden ships along the ENTIRE WEST COAST by June kind of makes clear the Tariffs are going to fall through. No, seriously. Apparently, from San Diego to Seattle, there will be less than 50 ships with cargo pulling in. Each West Coast Port has between 50-100 ship capacity. Including anchoring and docked. So, that's not good. If not for the West Coast States being a little more diversified compare to Montana, both Dakotas, Iowa, Kansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky, it would be an economic collapse. I don't want to be Alaska's Governor right now. Or anyone in the Alaska State Government with an R by their name. Hawaii should somehow survive. Thanks only to the massive Military presence. But that's for now. ICE is doing wonders screwing Hawaii over arresting tourists, especially alone teen girls.
I don’t think you’re acknowledging the long term damage he has caused. Not just geopolitically, or global trade wise, but also in government services. Or the open racism enabled through ICE. And lastly, the damage to climate change efforts. The US will be picking up the pieces for decades.
What is wrong with providing ICE information on illegal aliens?
>the whole ICE thing and all that deportation. The rate of deportations is similar to that in the last year of Biden's term. This is mostly a PR effort. If the goal was to maximize deportations, there would be constant raids on businesses like farms, feed lots, hotels and meat packing plants. Trump doesn't want to punish these businesses which supported him, so a disproportionate number of raids are happening in blue cities. >this could be amazing for Ford Ford has extensive foreign supply chains. They would also fare poorly in a recession. Where they might have an advantage is the fact that they are a well-known US company and might be more likely to score tariff exemptions than a foreign company which had a similar level of US-based labor inputs.
It is fascinating. We only hear about this one because they were ordinary USA citizens and the ICE/FBI/Marshalls had to back off, yet the seizure of devices and cash stands. The trauma on those young girls is unforgiveable and will never go away. God forbid one of the daughters spoke about anything controversial in their socials. We all know that these goose-steppers will hyper-examine those devices to find some shred of justification, and life could easily become more horrendous for this now at-risk American family We're not hearing about the treatment of immigrants, legal or otherwise, unless the situation is high-profile and desperately outside the law, such as Abrego-Garcia. A specialist engineer or medico attracted to the USA due to skills shortages is definitely keeping their head down as low as it goes. In general, legal immigrants are shit-scared to speak to media
When the USA-Crazy-Time started, and ICE was told to "Stop Being Nice," I shuddered. Today I read this: ['We're citizens!': Oklahoma City family traumatized after ICE raids home, but they weren't suspects](https://www.newsnationnow.com/us-news/immigration/oklahoma-city-family-traumatized-ice-raid/) Eerily similar to the brownshirts in late 1930s Germany
> We're basically in the end game if the admin is no longer flinching at total economic shit down. In the past few weeks, they're soliciting other countries to build concentration camps, openly defying SCOTUS rulings and threatening to imprison justices, sending military equipment to police, and issuing full authority for ICE to enter any home they want without a warrant. Yeah, this is the end game. The administration has accepted catastrophic economic melt down. They are not going to intervene to prevent it. And in the meantime they're preparing in exactly the way that you would if you were intending to declare martial law and use the military to quell violent uprisings and use your new concentration camp pipeline to ship agitants out of the country extrajudicially. We are here. I deeply wish people would stop being so naive. They are playing all their cards at this point.
\*pro EV anti-consumerism. I discovered (as a brit) the concept of coal rolling by ICE fans (!) massively triggered by EVs. And yet somehow, they now worship Tesla.
Geo Group is an evil one. They’re in the business of processing centers, private prisons, and immigration re-entry facilities. Stock has been doing well since trump got in and boosted funding for ICE and facilities for holding illegals.
I’m going to leave the DOGE comment alone because that’s a whole different conversation. But as far as the tariffs are concerned, they’re hurting the US more than any other country because they were done to everyone all at once rather than strategically. This has driven everyone (including China) to simply look for other options, such as China getting beef and pork from Brazil. Like it or not, America is a service economy at least as far as jobs (we also manufacture a lot but most of it is automated.) It’s not realistic or feasible for the entire country to suddenly change, and even if it were, companies aren’t going to want to pay US wages or build expensive factories—far more lucrative even with tariffs to do it elsewhere. Listen to just about any economic expert and that’s what they’re saying. So in short he’s destroying the economy for nothing. And the worst thing is compiled with the aggressive ICE raids and insulting our allies, nobody wants to visit us or do business with us. If you really want to research, look at the construction industry, tourism, airline, automotive….the numbers aren’t partisan. They’re plain alarming
bers being shipped to el savadro pound in butt tuck prison by ICE agent right now.
Things they don't care about because it's not directed at them/doesn't affect them (yet): * Trump being on Epstein's flight logs * Trump mocking a disabled person * Trump lying about stealing confidential documents then being indicted on 34 counts * Trump's DOJ arresting a Colorado judge * ICE arresting legal aliens with no criminal background (because they're not white). Conservatives only care about things that affect them directly (look up "The Only Moral Abortion is MY Abortion"). Walmart shelves being empty and grocery prices doubling in some categories WILL affect them. It's going to be an absolute shit-show in a few weeks.
That's great if you want to be an ICE officer. What about everyone else?
I guess ICE doesn't care. They need their numbers pumped up idk.
Palantir. Militaries use their AI to target civilians and ICE will be using it to target people to deport.
* **CoreCivic, Inc. (NYSE: CXW)** One of the two largest private prison and detention-center operators in the U.S., CoreCivic’s revenues swell as incarceration rates rise—whether for ICE detainees, federal inmates, or state prisoners. Its profitability is literally tied to locking people up, often in for-profit jails where cost-cutting can mean overcrowding, understaffing, and inhumane conditions * **The GEO Group, Inc. (NYSE: GEO)** GEO designs, builds, and runs secure facilities around the world—from U.S. prisons to immigrant “re-entry” centers. Like CoreCivic, it profits directly from higher incarceration and detention rates, and is often criticized for the quality of care (or lack thereof) in its facilities Altria Group, Lockheed Martin, Bayer AG Monsanto !
Half in MS-13 and the other half work for ICE
Well I don’t think their policy or the Biden policy on the student loans wiping out was fair. Also I don’t agree with the gun regs they would want. I think it should be better regulated but not to an extreme. I lean more Democrat in all honestly, and being Hispanic I am honestly not liking the deportation issues. I was born here but imagine someone doesn’t like me and hears me speaking Spanish. ICE rolls up and I am f’d.
This is like Brexit. People oversold what “collapse” meant. Brexit made Britain poorer at an almost unheard of rate, shaving billions off growth but over years, not months. America is about to get poorer at a rate not seen since the money tightening of the early 80s, but the world won’t end. But don’t get me wrong. The boycott of US goods, the tariffs, people not going on vacation to the US in case they have an issue with their passport and ICE lock them in a cage for a week. You guys are going to get poorer.
ICE barbie can't wait to get back out in the field and mishandle more firearms
Peter Thiel is the billionaire cofounder of PayPal. He is a POS. Immediately after selling it he shorted the company. He bet his own company would fail and aimed to profit off of it. The word Palantir is from Lord of the Rings. It's Saurons all seeing eye stone that Sauramon uses and that one of the hobbits use to learn his plans. He names his digital spy company, that's contracted by various US gov agencies, Palantir. After the bad guy. Hes proud of it and they've recently been providing ICE with "intel" on "illegals"
Can't have an economic boom for many reasons, here's some: 1.Trump is deporting 10 million immifrant labor force, so productivity goes down and economic output goes down. 2. Population isn't growing when your citizen birth rate is crashing. Also, women don't want to risk a pregnancy because they can't access healthcare in many states. 3. The price of goods rises dramatically from Trump imposed tariffs so people spend less to afford essentials. 4. Oil production falls because Trump policies reduced the profits of oil companies. Drill baby drill doesn't work below $65 a barrel. 5. Trump policies and firings are driving scientists to leave the country for employment in foreign countries. 6. Foreign tourism falls off a cliff because nobody wants to be arrested by ICE because they had a Trump meme on their phone. 7. Nobody can afford a house because there's not enough housing supply and the loss of faith in US future has increased interest rates. Listing it out, over the short and medium term, things look pretty dark. How many millions of dollars of economic output does the US lose for every scientist that goes overseas??
ICE. Are they a company? They've been popping up all over America lately.
Pltr has had multiple big deals with ICE over the years, anyone who knows this would have reason to believe that there are more to come.
Negative GDP, India-Pakistan, Fox News - 20 minute interview with widow clearly reading off a teleprompter with her eyes fixated to the right of the camera giving out statistics on ICE.
Did you watched the rallies? There are plenty young/middle aged supporters, the most fanatics (ICE-like) will be the ones going door to door and the ones killing/ being killed, the strong supporters will be probably imprisoned or exiled/deported but mostly they will switch side or deny support for Trump and live free as anything happened
Most EVs have no transmission or at most a 2 speed transmission and electric motors are usually sourced as a whole and much smaller than a ICE engine. most of the time, if you need to replace these with US sourced parts, basically the full vehicle will need to be redesigned to facilitate packaging. there is almost zero chance a parts supplier would move their full manufacturing process to the US. Also, don't forget even if the parts are sourced in the US, almost all the materials would be imported and thus subject to tariffs.
ICE, FBI, DHS are all obeying his orders. What makes you think the military won't?
I laffed heartily when folks were saying “tHeRe aRen’T gOnNa be aNy ICE sALes iN 5 yEaRs” like 3 years ago. How the fuck’s that going?!
I can't say for Tesla as you have indicated, is different from ICE vehicles, having fewer parts, but if you look at list of cars with 75% or more US content, there's only 1 EV, the Volkswagen ID.4 AWD. 4 Mustang GT AT 80 Ford Motor Company Ford 4 Mustang GT 5.0L 80 Ford Motor Company Ford 4 Mustang GT Coupe Premium 80 Ford Motor Company Ford 5 Passport AWD 76.5 Honda Motor Co., Ltd. But keep in mind that EVs are a relatively new invention and have far fewer number of parts compared to EVs. thus each part would account for a larger percentage while being harder to source as it needs parts which are different while the century of development of ICE cars would have already established industries of ready made parts that most companies would just be able to order and bolt together. Moving these parts suppliers and their supply chains to the US is almost impossible. Tesla uses mostly parts that are produced in house thus increasing that percentage but this usually lowers their profitability per car and it has mostly been able to balance that by selling carbon credits to other companies and collecting government subsidies. Should the carbon credit system still exist in the future, the demand for these credits would diminish as less cars are imported so either way, this model would need to change and I'm sure that would drive up the need for off the shelf parts which most likely would lower thay percentage.
well the ICE prisons are pretty much black sites with no due process, so yea easy mistake to make there.
Ok so how many jobs will be lost in the US.? The only growth in employment seems to be to work for ICE.
OP is a domestic terrorist! ICE all hands on deck! You don't even need a set day. Just everybody get rid of what you're holding and buy leveraged shorts. Or once it starts dipping that may all take care of itself with people trying to salvage whatever they can.
Except, many issues will happen because businesses already reacted. The biggest and safest thing to bet against in this market is tourism. People across the globe are cancelling trips here due to their fellow citizens being detained and harassed by ICE and their respective state departments issuing travel warnings. Vegas will likely be a cheap place to visit this summer and flights should be pretty empty.
Where the hell is the rock you climbed out of? OMG are you Sentinelese??? Might want to avoid ICE.
"Marjorie Taylor Greene bought stock in Palantir on April 8th. On April 17th, a $30M deal between Palantir and ICE was announced. Greene sits on the House Committee on Homeland Security. The stock has now risen 48% in the three weeks since her purchase." We need a Big Marge ETF tracker.
Foreign tourism is in the trillions annually. They aren't coming this year for fear that they will be put into ICE detention for accidentally checking the wrong box on a form.
all amazon executives about to be visited by ICE and sent to el salvador.
ICE accounted for almost 50% of their revenue last quarter.
> That’s what’s so baffling about all of this. It can’t do both. It’s impossible Really explain to these ICE agents why it can’t be both. They are eager to hear your theories.
ICE can now enter your home without warning or warrant and arrest you for basically any reason 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 YES, THE MOMENT WE FEARED HAS ARRIVED
I’ll drive an ICE vehicle that self deports me before I’ll buy a Tesla
Wait wait wait, you mean my blood related family and my brother's wife's family who are all Westboro Baptist Church level crazy were WRONG when they said Trump, Elon, ICE, Kristi Noem and RFK Jr would be incredible for our country and ur telling me that they were WRONG when they said the tarrfis would be a great idea??? I............cannot..............believeeeeeeeeeee............THIS! Wait a sec, yeah nevermind. My family is nuts, of course, they'd fall for all that bullshit. They are Trump lovers. I of course voted in a sane way and went Democrat.
I was gonna say-- there are too many good EVs from new and traditionally ICE manufacturers to write off EVs altogether.
Uncertainty? -200,000+ Government workers and contractors have been laid off -140,000 immigrant workers and students (paying full tuition) have been deported with many more in process -ICE and Border Patrol are harassing tourists (tourism is 3% of US GDP) -Trump is constantly insulting/threatening Canada (the biggest trading partner) -Due to Biden's China chips ban Huawei has caught up to ASML and Nvidia All of those are certainties. I didn't even mention tariffs.
He was trying to be nice but since you are being an asshole I will state his point plainly: Why are you buying saturated companies high? Palantir's entire existence is premised on ICE, Israel, and Hegseth giving them government contracts. It may be a decent play for a while but even odds it is 86's in 3.5 years and Thiel shrugs with his billions and moves on to the next scheme.
\> Multiple AI Chinese experts and scholars some were deported by ICE recently already found positions working jointly on advanced AI development Need a source on this
