Basically everyone on this subreddit uses Robinhood and its userbase is ever-expanding as more of Gen Z joins the workforce and starts investing. I’m holding $HOOD for >10 years.
Take profits between now and the end of January, I think there are more head winds than tailwinds. Crypto is in trouble in early to mid 2026 and it will eventually hit HOOD. Plus, there were a few concerning metrics on last month’s published numbers. Not to mention every other broker and their mom is starting to copy their UI, account set-up bonuses, reduced margin rates, etc. They have gone from the hunting to the hunted IMHO. Not a good trajectory at the moment. Well maybe you can help me out. I’m 64, I just transferred $150K of my annuity into my Fidelity IRA. Would you have any stock suggestions? I would be on a 7-10 year plan. I just doubled my position today on ASTS. I made the mistake on a few stocks I was convicted on by focusing on price avg. These stocks were PLTR and HOOD. Now I just keep buying ASTS at whatever price I have capital. Definitely a long term play with so much potential. Keep building a large position and sell covered calls.
Maybe HOOD should stop giving away Expresso machines and start buying back shares.

A lot of this comes down to lumping very different businesses into one fintech bucket. V and MA are basically toll roads, so the market already prices them as mature, low-risk infrastructure rather than growth. SCHW still trades like a financial and will stay tied to rates and balance sheet risk. PYPL, HOOD, and SOFI are priced on whether their models fully prove out, not on today’s value screens, this year especially, fundamentals took a back seat to narrative, and AI pulled most of the marginal capital, that doesn’t mean there’s no value here, it just means value hasn’t been the catalyst.

Please help me understand. On HOOD, when you buy crypto, you must pay a spread. And when you sell crypto, you still owe spread, so twice time the spread amount indicated at buy session. Am I correct?
