If you're a boglehead ETF investor it doesn't really matter, but if you're more strategic, look for good/profitable companies that are beaten down by sentiment, e.g. CRM, ADSK, ORCL, etc. trimming as they rip and accumulating as they dip. I loaded up on MSFT awhile back and its starting to rip. NVDA and GOOG are about 4-5% outside their buying ranges; AVGO about 8%, so a little patience might pay off. It really is about as simple as buy low and trim high - trim being the operative work bc you rarely want to get out of the good names you've bought, just take off a little cream to buy the stocks that are down.

Need ADSK to drop some AI that jerks the yurkin while you’re drafting up plans plz

Mentions:#ADSK

INTU, ADBE, NOW, CRM, ADSK etc

Adobe is trash that has multiple competitors for every product It's pissing me off that it's dragging my Autodesk down with it when ADSK is a much better product and has a huge moat

Mentions:#ADSK

The AVGO M&A playbook heavily focuses on “franchises” where the acquired have a clear market leading position in an area. IBM’s consulting arm seems like a bad fit for that. I’ve always thought AVGO should be targeting ADSK. Market leader in CAD software and horrifically inefficient. The problem is CAD might not be a good fit with the rest of AVGO’s software business.

Only company that has proper headwind because of AI is Adobe But stock can move higher because of resurgent software sector and because many software stocks were down too much … These type of rallies are generally short lived of few days to week(s) Again when hardware was going up it was only Nvidia then Broadcom and it took almost 2 /3 years for amd and Intel to go bullish Same theory applies to CRM , ADSK, ADBE , NOW , Duol , and many others You need to find winners

with that approach you can't invest in anything. You never know how AI will progress. Maybe it will not? And investing in AI/hardware companies will be a bubble? As we saw with dotcom bubble. So well, I don't see how your opinion is anything special to ADSK.

Mentions:#ADSK

I have ~15 LEAPS in ADSK Maybe like $50k in total They're completely safe from outside AI disruption and it will only likely help them going forward. The value of being the industry standard is so high. No engineers want to learn a new software on the off chance it might be a little better.

Mentions:#ADSK

The post is about ADSK, 50B market cap.

Mentions:#ADSK

I've used Autodesk software (AutoCAD/Revit) almost daily for the last 15 years. Can confirm, the market is a hostage situation and we all have Stockholm Syndrome. In AEC the closest competitor is maybe Nemetschek, and while their Vectorworks platform has some great features no one else can touch, unless you work in very specific markets like live entertainment design, you can go months or years without hearing their name uttered at least in North America. Sometimes I wonder if Autodesk's R&D team is made up of psychologists running the world's largest social experiment. Each year a new version of everything rolls out and each year the same basic features are missing that would make our lives easier. Yet, they always have time to reorganize the UI, move some buttons around, and rename some things to make your life oh so splendid when you have to work in projects in 2023, 2024, and 2025 all in the same week and have to look in a different place in each version for the same buttons. It's as if they're trying to drive everyone stir crazy and waiting to see how long it takes for users to set fire to their offices or their workstations off the roof. So, yeah, ADSK to the moon. 🚀🚀🚀 But...like...in the same way that the Soviets launched that dog into space.

I’m buying the fast growing, high margin, debt free, name brand, large cap technology companies with an average PEG around .9 being bought right now by insiders, the companies, Tom Lee, Dan Ives, & Stephanie Link, that are all UP\^ over the last 7 weeks (and today), after being cut in half the 7 weeks before that, whose efficiencies the AI they’re integrating will probably grow. NOW CRM APP VEEV ADSK WDAY. Hell, toss in PANW, TTWO, INTU, and a flyer on DUOL. Every one UP\^ over 7 weeks after getting nuked. Oh and this hidden gem called Microsoft.

r/investingSee Comment

MSFT ORCL NOW ADBE SAP CRM SNOW totally destroyed... ADSK

r/stocksSee Comment

Team is higher risk/reward. APP, ADSK, VEEV have the best charts, great companies, I own em. Intu, team, workday, adbe, duol are risk-on, especially adbe. Duol very high risk

r/investingSee Comment

If AI is this powerful, then one needs to short everything software, like MSFT, ADBE, ADSK.. You know what happens then? Those same companies could not cash flow AI investment. It’s a vicious cycle that takes years to play out. Anyways, how does a retail investor even buy Anthropic?

r/stocksSee Comment

I subscribed to MF years ago, just their first service, I think it was called Stock Advisor? Anyway I owe them for having more money then I ever thought I would. They got me into Netflix at $34, Marvel which got bought by Disney, I still have Cintas, up 3700% in 16 years, MA, TXN, GOOG. Just lots of big winners. I also had losers too but the winners far outshone those. I didn't just blindly follow their picks I also did my own due diligence. So back then at least they were solid. During covid I subscribed again for $49 because I was bored. I didn't have much free cash but bought small $1000 lots of some of their recs. Didn't nearly do so well on those. One, SFVB went bankrupt, ADSK is down 20%, ZM is down 79%, and only CRWD is up, 92%.

r/stocksSee Comment

NOW, CRM, VEEV, PANW, TTWO, ADSK, INTU, etc are attractive, but MSFT is insanely cheap, stupi cheap

r/stocksSee Comment

add APP, VEEV and frankly all the office stuff like ADSK & WDAY too. Defense software is insulated, so PANW & CRWD. I love TTWO here and INTU is high risk/reward. I know it’s all software but those are winners.

r/wallstreetbetsSee Comment

It's still expensive... Even if you look at FCF, so excluding all SBC, they are trading at 40 per FCF per share, higher than MSFT's 38, and mich higher than Adobe and Autodesk which make much more money: https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/compare/FIG?comps=ADBE,MSFT,ADSK Figma's TTM FCF margin is 25%, Adobe's is 41%, Autodesk's 30%, and Microsoft's 25%. ... and if you take SBC back into account, it's even worst. They still have about a billion in vesting RSUs. As someone else said, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to single digits.

r/stocksSee Comment

I’m buying/eyeing: MSFT, NOW, NFLX (coincidence, but buy it!), CRM, ADSK, MNDY, VEEV, TEAM, WDAY, INTU, DT, ORCL. This is as good a basic short list as you’re likely to find. Def start with MSFT, big sharp bounce coming!

Autodesk. (ADSK) Does a ton of pro bono work and pro education work. They are a slow growth company but one that has a very stable support industry because its tools are diversified very well. Then there are some equities like qqq etc that I hold. You can find variant equities that put specific values first. AMD has generally had morals. Toyota I hold some because they backed hybrid tech so well. And generally have phenomenal engineering practices. None of these are 'perfect" but they are trying which i dig

You are choosing not to believe in a fact. The fact - short term trading (holding a position under one year) is a losing strategy. This is not about winning a Reddit argument. This is about you losing your money. There are statistics about this. Or listen to Warren and Charlie. Any stock within months can easily go down 10%, 20%, 50%, 70%. Even companies that are in high regard like NVidia, Tesla, etc. this happened to Facebook and others recently. However! Give me 10 years (my minimum holding time) and now I have 100x more confidence. It’s not about predicting the price in the future. It’s predicting that the price will be much higher in the far future. Why 10 years - because on average this will extend over a recession. So here’s the deal - I’ll prove my confidence. Check back in 10 years and these three positions will be much much higher!! 70% or more higher S&P 500 SSD ADSK But in 6 months - I can’t even make any prediction. Could be higher or much lower
