Buffet is retired from BKR investments.
Expectations of slow down in second half of 2026, I would say rotation into defensive stock like energy or BKR
GEV and BKR are both good candidates, they provide both STD GT and aeroderative design like LM2500 or LM6000
I have been buying up some oil related things like $rig @ 3.10-3.25, got into $BKR at 45, I reckon oil services may deliver some nice gainz, has been hated for a long time and I always love a position no one is talking about although oil has started having some chatter. the holding I like the most which I just bought my second lot of shares in is $TENB, been growing revenue qoq for quite some time, sizeable revenue to market cap just need to have faith market can start making better margins and continue to grow revenue. Tenb isn't the only cyber security that's growing near lows either
Totally, it's one of those things I've always wanted to invest in. Actually just shared a post from about like 2 years ago: [https://www.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/1ca6f3j/comment/l0r8dhj/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/stocks/comments/1ca6f3j/comment/l0r8dhj/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) ORA has been killing recently, but way too expensive. Actually starting to look into BKR. Can't really find a ton of names in the space.
## Today's Position Management: - Closed HON calls for solid profit. - Holding TSLA SAP LRCX cuz IV crush, give 'em a few days to be profitable. - Regarding IBM... yea beats everything and falls (?!) at any rate, at the open I added a closer-strike call, as I've observed that when strong companies have an unsupported drop like this, they bounce fast. - Indeed, the new strike put the entire position into profit today. - I do not consider this DCA, because it's a closer strike, and is based on expected bounce dynamics. - For the record I consider DCA to be regarded... ## Today's New Positions for Tomorrow - Calls on BKR CCI GD INTC NEM
I have $500 left in my cash account with BKR can I play couple contracts tomorrow? Playing with money I can afford to lose to get the feeling of scalping again.
I watch the service companies SLB, HAL and BKR. If SLB and HAL get below $30 and $20, respectively, I may venture back in.
> You’re missing the big picture here. Really? Reading the article you linked says the same thing I am pointing out. BKR is not going to sell fully owned subsidiaries…. They are cash cows. (Ok there might be some cases in which it happens but not likely.). This means they are 55% out of the market with there investment level cash.
Yeah check the units rev/backlog growth the past two years 😮 The other half of business is also an electrification play. AAON, parent company, is known for their heat pump HVAC systems. Which you might think would be a bad thing to be in with Trump.. but NY just said all buildings gotta be electric, etc.. IMHO both halves of business are undervalued and you aren’t putting all your eggs in one basket (AI). Why I like the BKR/CAT/NEE plays as well. It’s not *just* AI for them.
BKR another way to get turbine exposure 🤷🏼♂️
This is actually still sound advice. If you’re some old fuck and you own a bunch of GEV, CAT, BKR and AAON. You somehow own 4 AI adjacent stonks without even knowing it. So you can end up being overexposed to shit. Obviously not important for people in this sub.. but my point stands.
Since I started buying earnings timed calls from the evercore tactical outperform list I’ve been steady climbing - w a triple up on western digital The new one I’m in on is BKR (Baker Hughes) on either Long calls or after October 28 Earnings.
BKR is waiting for a big correction and then it's a shopping spree, I guess. Like any thesis, this is going to miss out on gains, in case said correction never happens (FED just papers over it with printed money).
I think its time to pump BKR back up isnt it boys? Daddy buffet deserves it
Try BKR. They provide drilling products and can likely untuck your ass.
woof BKR and HAL already down for the day.
Then why have the rig counts dropped by so much if Trump wants to 'drill baby drill'? He is completely destroying our oil industry by his idiotic and just plain dumb ass policies. April 11 (Reuters) - U.S. energy firms this week cut oil rigs by the most in a week since June 2023, lowering the total oil and natural gas rig count for a third consecutive week, energy services firm Baker Hughes [(BKR.O), opens new tab](https://www.reuters.com/markets/companies/BKR.O) said in its closely followed report on Friday. The oil and gas rig count, an early indicator of future output, fell by seven to 583 in the week to April 11, the biggest weekly decline since June 2024. , ,
I was so busy today I didn't get to pull the trigger on anything. I'm still watching BKR. Tariffs = Term 1 infrastructure bill.
I mean, it's not like Apple, bank of America, American express and all the rest of his stuff are doing exactly well. I'm actually surprised BKR didn't drop more, it basically didn't move at all before yesterday. Weird.
I'm stupid. I have been eying MRK and BKR. I cannot tell you why
Their small holdings. 8/10 of their top 10 are down. LLY and BKR are the only 2 in top 10 that are green
BKR has been sitting on a 300B pile of cash since late last year.
KO and BKR/B has been killing it
Indra Sistemas are interesting. All of my assets are in NVDA and BKR, unfortunately the growth potential is wIth the US. EU needs to make itself more attractive to do business in at the member state level. There's a reason many people in Orleand and UK choose the Middle East, and US to go and make money.

Thoughts on BKR? Did good for me last earnings
I do not know about Oceaneering but the best way to play the oil segments in the service / supplier side (SLB, HAL, BKR). I say this because if Trump pushes his "drill baby drill" philosophy more oil/gas will be produced, prices will decrease to \~$60/barrel for oil and LNG prices to near $1 which is less profitable for the producers.
The real question for C3AI is if they'll renew their Baker Hughes contract in April --- or if they can [successfully branch out into other industries](https://c3.ai/products/c3-law-enforcement/). https://finance.yahoo.com/news/the-real-trouble-for-c3ai-may-still-be-ahead-as-it-eyes-renewal-with-its-biggest-customer-120028583.html >> The AI software firm’s long-running partnership with oil and gas giant Baker Hughes (BKR) — one that accounts for over a third of C3.ai’s revenue — is set to expire in April 2025.
Yes, but as I said multiple times below, this isn’t what we were talking about. We were specifically talking about *not buying back BKR shares*.
Yeah that is likely. Not buying back BKR stock still doesn’t mean that though, which is what we were discussing.
My guess it is one of his lieutenants, not Warren, Warren only get involved in big deals. If you see them buy a lot more Warren was involved. I was more interested in their POOL accumulation as BKR has numerous real estate (ie. home builders, DYI related business). I suspect they are seeing something in a coming home market boom.

BKR earnings is tomorrow premarket. dont know why robinhood and this chart lists it as afterhours today
Yes, but SLB formerly Weatherford group also has a significant present and has a wide market presence. I previously called on all three players and HAL has lost too many key players. With the vote 50/50, it is not worth a con-flip for me. Good Luck.
I prefer the segment leader - SLB followed by BKR, especially if SLB goes below 40 again.
Massive sell off. The stock market will crash. People will burn their cash hordes, go back to the old bartering system /s In all seriousness, the coliseum still stands in Rome, no reason why BKR.B will collapse just because one fellow is out. I don’t even imagine he has much of a role beyond really broad strokes on the portfolio. Also, he has so much money he could live to 100+ He can probably afford a liver transplant from an Olympic athlete
Sure BKR is a little unique in that they hold stock positions so it’s difficult to compare apples to apples but many public companies were founder led who have since passed away or retired. These stocks have done exceptionally well since then. Some that come to mind are Costco, McDonald’s, AMD, and Home Depot.
I feel like BKR holders are more sensible than the average investor, it’ll dip, and then go back up.
What people forget is that Mr. Buffett and his team has more data at their disposal than the average investor. After seeing ALLY concerns over auto loans, I realized BKR owns a number of large car dealerships and saw the trend before it was reported. Conversely, BRK recent investment in ULTA. I should have saw it coming. I normally follow the personal care suppliers and noticed [ASH reported 20% Growth ](https://investor.ashland.com/static-files/fb680b3b-26cd-49b2-b29e-6e8c3e8f4b42)this quarter in their Personal Care business unit (largest in a number of years). With BRK owning Lubrizol, another key personal care supllier, they have key information on the market. This suggests to me that P&G, L'Oreal and other big players will also be growing in the coming quarter. Typically supplier sales increase about 90 days before you see retail sales increases. I had a price target of $300 for ULTA and missed it.
I assume you mean the 2024 contact? Both broke 5500 today along with the S&P. Combined with a few other factors like BKR.A dropping it’s going to be a rough month. A little surprised gold didn’t run up more. https://preview.redd.it/adj5ccdn93nd1.jpeg?width=2796&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dcacba84645fda12159bc285137245ef1eeb3095
Damn I was gonna all in $BKR. Should I throw an I in front of it and call it a day?
Yeah I’m oil for sure thanks JD $BKR
Ah yes, another climate cultist over here As usual, they choose the most peculiar stocks to match their doomerposting BKR, a stock that fell around 80% during the trump era( cause and effect of cheaper gas production maybe? idk). People, OP claims that because of magic market conditions, this stock is gonna reach its ATH **10 years ago**. You belong in this community
Warren Buffet speaks against diversification. Which is why I’m all in on $BKR
Have you heard about this company called Microsoft (MSFT)? I hear they are basically an index fund. Are you saying I should buy that or baker hughes (BKR)?
**5-8$ a share is less than they have cash on hand now.** While revenue declines, profitability has improved and they have no debt. Just shows the management team delivers what they promise. And you do not mention the intention to become an investment company like BKR. Unfortunately, your reply seems like a copy paste of what one can read in financial news. Which makes not much sense, because you rate GME in a different manner than you would rate other stocks. That's not objective and illogical. Unfortunately, it is hard to have a serious and fact based conversation when it comes to stocks like GME, because mainstream media has created a specific narrative. Otherwise you would not just claim a fair value of 5-8$ without adding how exactly you come to your conclusion (f.e. comparison of key financial data and trends). ROI on an investment is usually higher, when you identify opportunities in time and not once it becomes obvious. I personally think this is the case with GME, but in the end everybody is responsible for his own investment decisions.
Imagine they do a glitch on NVDA as they did on BKR-A today
Someone got margin called (probably short GmE) and with low liquidity on BKR stock it tanked momentarily. Or there was a glitch. One is more fun.
GME was halted like 10 seconds after opening bell. Shortly after BKR crashed. AMC is a garbage company and stock so no one cares, but can confirm GME halted.
More like a $675,000 buyin because of low liquidity. Usually people don't line up to market buy $BKR.A.
They used Market orders LMAO. Someone smart put orders to sell $BKR.A at +40K and this regards filed that orders.
So if they can hack BKR, what happens if they hack Treasury futures?
You call yoursefs degens but every godamn of yousss tried to buy BKR at 180.
That GOld and BKR glitch just filled up ER with boomerssss with heart attacks lmaooooo
Some IT regard fat fingered glitch on BKR instead of Gamestonk
Holy shit my BKR.A order filled, $8,400
At least we will know the flow rate & reserves within the next couple of weeks. Tests being done by $BKR Baker Hughes, so true & accurate reports coming out.

Excited for some names announcing after the bell today. $ENPH $LRN $TXN $WFRD $BKR $MANH $ZWS $V
Why hasn't Warren Buffett trimmed AAPL to 5% of BKR's portfolio? Perhaps targeting 5% is nonsensical and the efficient frontier is just an academic concept? Why would you sell an investment that 's a great compounder and has earned its allocation/weight on your portfolio on demonstrable merit?
I See 1500 volume on BKR 1/16/26 $23 put. Assuming this is one person, they are locking up 3.5 mil for 300k in premium. If so, what do you think their plan is?
Thoughts on BKR 2/16 32c? Earnings AH and HAL had positive outlook + relatively high volume on this chain
BKR is going to hit and then some when they report, i’d buy as many calls as your brokerage will allow you
Tbh if he’s 100% AAPL there’s no point buying BKR-B…
ETFs are financial derivative tools for controlling the securities grouped into a basket by AP market makers. Many of them are divisions of Big Banks or largely diverse asset managers like BKR.
Was BKR still heavy into AAPL; I think they are. Lol.
BNKU or DPST, warrens been buffing my TFSA’s asscheeks lately with huge outlooks on big banks stocks. BKR.A enjoyers will love this because the money is essentially free and the downside is practically 0%. I’ll be driving past all those regards in the back alleys of Wendy’s this summer with a smile on my face .
Calls on LMT RTX BKR XOM
Looking for one of these to take a dip at open and then buy in when they find support $HLX $DD $BKR
I BKR does not fill limit orders for prices worse than your limit price. Is it possible that you're looking at the commission column, because $1.30 would be the commission charged for closing a single spread?
I'm done buying this week. I also added 25 shares to $HAL. I know just because $BKR beat on earnings this morning, that doesn't necessarily mean $SLB and $HAL will beat on earnings, however I would think the odds are definitely higher than before. Buying gold & oil stocks have done me very well these last 2-3 years. Buying AG fertilizer stocks, not so much. : )
$BKR earnings beat. Adjusted EPS was $0.28, beating the consensus of $0.26. 2Q23 Outlook: BKR expects Revenue of $6.1 billion-$6.5 billion versus $5.98 billion consensus and Adj. EBITDA of $845 million-$905 million. FY23 Outlook: The company sees Revenue of $24 billion-$26 billion, versus $24.89 billion consensus, and Adj. EBITDA of $3.6 billion-$3.8 billion. It's looking pretty good for the oil field service & equip stocks. Recently Baker Hughes has underperformed on earnings compared to $SLB and $HAL.
Personally, I love Warren as he never answers Becky's direct questions but move to stories. The one question that he hinted about was the affected of inflation on his businesses and he slipped mention that some were hurt by over 21% and then seqwayed to talking about the insurance business. For me, it is what he does not say that is important - glad I am a longer BKR.B holder. His PARA comments were also enlightening as he simply stated "time will tell."
NVDA with same market cap as BKR and 1/12 the revenue
I always recommend people overlay SLB, HAL & BKR with XOM (or any other oil major) and let that tell you how things turn out. Oil is obviously very cyclical, but the drillers just never really get to ride the wave in a big way. Don't get me wrong - they're great buys when they're down, but you really need to buy *at the bottom* in order for it to make good financial sense. Also, compare their dividend increases over the past few decades. But one thing that I find interesting: oil companies keep talking about how they're now paying out gobs of cash to their investors. Why? Oil has been stable and trending around $80 for quite a while now. They say they're rewarding their investors for sticking with them thru the rough patch. But my personal opinion is they're under-investing in future production, which will cause the future price of oil to go/stay up. Green energy is slowly replacing oil. Worldwide birthrates are flatlining. So oil's simple solution is simple supply and demand: pump less, then charge more for it. Oil really is controlled by an international cartel, all working together to ensure fat profits.
CNBC hasn't been blaming retail investors AFAIK. The fact is: this is a trading market right now. It's no longer an investing market. Retail got more sophisticated and some got A LOT richer. Derivatives are being used like crazy and the real winners are those who are paying attention to the greeks and the premiums. There is also a wealth gap that is literally incomprehensible. There are algo firms and individuals (and nation-states that are de facto individuals) who can easily move certain equities massively intraday. People should also pay attention to two things: 1. The geopolitical and socio-economic backdrop against which the market is moving. 2. The composition of certain indices themselves (certain 'odd' companies have been rather furtively added to the NASDAQ-100 as an example) >The following six companies will be added to the Index: CoStar Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CSGP), **Rivian Automotive, Inc. (Nasdaq: RIVN), Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. (Nasdaq: WBD)**, GlobalFoundries Inc. (Nasdaq: GFS), Baker Hughes Company (Nasdaq: BKR), and **Diamondback Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: FANG)**.
Hmmm... Not sure how HAL is going to turn out for you. I bought into all 3 during the market lows in 2020 - SLB, BKR & HAL. Have had a tiny investment in BKR for many years and it hasn't really done much. I only bought in again because everything oil was really low and I wanted to diversify. I have mostly sold out of them now the price has gone up so much. Overlay HAL on an XOM chart and look at the last 5 10, 20 years, all-time and you'll see who consistently outperforms. And XOM pays a much better dividend, and has over the decades. A 40% increase on not much = not much more. Oil exploration is very cyclical and I've learned to only buy in towards the bottom, otherwise it's just dead money collecting 1-2% interest. I've been buying into VZ, especially after it dropped fast. They expect their earnings to increase next year, and they're payout ratio is just over 50%, which isn't unreasonable. I've held Verizon for years and am content to do so, all while collecting a good dividend.
