I’m into IREN and this is gonna sound random, but look at Coca-Cola Consolidated (COKE not KO). It’s been a bellwether lately and seems to go up when nothing else is. I like it because people are gonna drink the stuff regardless of the economy, but they’re also profitable, employ people, and are building stuff in places like Ohio.
From a data perspective, most "bubblers"are referring to Shiller/CAPE index which is the long term PE ratio of the SP500, and it currently does sit near all time highs. The "AI narrative" is because the largest weights in said SP500 are heavily invested in the area. The entire circular money argument is nonsense. When company A exchanges an asset of value (cash, equity) to company B for a good or service, that is a legitimate economic transaction. If B then transacts with A, that's an entirely separate activity. Nobody is giving away anything for free. What's different if A goes to B and and B goes to A, versus A goes to B and B goes to C? It just means C got a win over A - not that this is "real" and other was "fake". Let's suppose AMZN contracts out to UPS to help with package delivery. And then separately, UPS decides to use AMZN AWS to host their web service and compute infrastructure. Is this fake/circular money? I'm fairly certain most will agree it is not. UPS could have instead gone to MSFT Azure to get another party involved. So it's not different than my prior A/B/C examples. Nothing unusual or out of the ordinary. AI "loop" is simply because a) big tech are the ones driving AI buildout b) big tech has the funds to do so c) AI/GPU hyperscaler is just the next interation of CPU/cloud hyperscaler. Makes perfect sense to me, just as AMZN can go to UPS and FDX for delivery. They aren't going to UBER or LFYT or COKE (distributor for KO). It's called synergy - it can be both inter-business or intra-business.

The S&P is up 14% this year, im up 20%. I went heavy into cash in February right before the Canada tariffs went into effect and bought back in when everything was crashing after liberation day. I bought Albemarle, TSMC, Google and SQM at bargain basement prices. I bought Coca Cola Consolidated (COKE, the bottling company) for too much and then watched it go sideways until a couple weeks ago. Right now I dont see much opportunity, I'm thinking about CN Rail but I'm actually putting new money into Bank of America preferred stock as a defensive move.
Im looking at CNI, Canadian National Railway. It is down significantly right now and is struggling due to tariffs hurting the Canadian economy but will probably go up once tariffs end, which will happen eventually. I want to take some of the money I've made from tech over the last few years and put it in non-tech investments. I think ARCC, ALB and COKE are good deals right now but I already own enough.

Besides Albemarle which is mentioned elsewhere I also have a bunch of COKE, which is the bottling company. It has been in a funk over the last six months but over the last ten years has grown like a tech company. Im using this down period to buy more.

Ok, after reading all of the comments and doing a bunch of research about other stocks and opportunities I decided to cut back my amd and nvidia stocks by 50%. I will diversify that money across a bunch of other stocks (ASML, COKE, Amazon, Berkshire, and some stocks from my country - Poland)

The recipe is a KO decision, not a COKE decision. I also own COKE and have been trying to decide if the HFCS stuff will have a negative impact. I think it will be a long term positive for both ko/coke, but might disrupt a little. I am very bullish on $COKE for the 5+ horizon, though, so I’m not too worried about it. Looking at it as more of a buying opportunity potentially
Could still be OK. I bought COKE thinking it was Coca Cola. It is not, it is a bottling corp, but it performed better than KO, so it was all good. Better than good!

I did buy more at a discount. But then it dropped even lower. I got spooked and held. I was looking at red for months. Then finally got back to even and I sold at my overall price. I was way over exposed on NVDA. Around the same 15%. Now i know never to hold that much of a single stock. Others might be not me. Never again. Once COKE goes even im selling 50% again.

So? Why would i buy the bottler when I can buy the brand itself? Plus if you actually look at COKE’s financials. Doesn’t paint the best picture this year. So yeah. Buy the Brand. Also you might as well just S&P500 index invest but that’s my opinion.
COKE is the bottler KO is the brand itself and owns the licensing. You should always buy the brand.

Id rather not pay taxes now on big wins, and retirement allows for easy re-position. However in my case my retirement accounts have less funds than taxable accounts. So it's tough call to play with that money, cant add more if the play is bad. It would be great if my good individual picks like NVDA and COKE from 2015 where in my retirement account but if I dont plan on selling until I absolutely need the money guess it doesn't matter. Again my theories might be stupid. I am just some guy doing is best.

10k cash in business 75% ETF 20% NVDA/COKE (made a buy in and holding) Saving 6k a month and putting all bonus into investments. 50% into SGOV for taxes and other cash based stuff, I liquidate 80% it every 6 months to fund 401k Owner and other stuff. 50% goes into ETFs. Here to party. I can sell SGOV if I needed cash, baby needed cash liquid for years.
Maybe better off investing staying in Apple, Microsoft, and NVIDIA, learning to specialize in them. Could buy PEPSI on weakness to add their snack business to COKE. Could pick up chipotle stock on weakness as they have huge lines in HCOL areas, basically selling Americans p’mped out rice and beans like Central America eats. May want to round it off with some medical suppliers like Johnson and Johnson (good dividend, lots of products, no patent cliff) and maybe a British pharma name. A couple utility stocks operate industrial solar in the American Southwest .. or just buy a utility index ETF which has the least correlation with the overall stock market. Even the big US materials stocks are trying to be environmentally friendly.

To be fair, COKE is higher than KO when the later owns the brand is pretty telling. That being said, COKE is more volatile than KO due to it being so heavily impacted by tariffs (bottling company and all that). So it's arguably a better buy if a person is seeking fast gains/loss. And since the main product is providing bottle service to coke... The chance of it failing is non existent, because that would imply the fall of America and all the land whales.

bullish on $COKE. The drop from tariffs and earnings is definitely something to watch, but I look to buy around the mid-terms. Their expansion into overseas markets—especially Africa (which is where I work)—is a major opportunity. Since I think international sales could be a big growth driver over the next decade, personally, I’m looking to add more when it dips
Tariffs and poor earnings have really dented the stock, but if inflation eases and trade tensions loosen, $COKE should rebound. It's hard to say exactly when, holding patience is most important.

COKE is a bottling company, not the brand (KO). They mostly sell in the southeastern and Midwestern US.
$KO sells licensing and syrup $COKE is bottler and distributor for $KO, buys syrup from $KO and sells the actual product
guys there are a lot of opportunity out there, I become value investor in COKE, GOOGL, UNH.
My port consist of value investor darlings GOOG,UNH, COKE. I dumped my NVIDIA to hedge funds.
COKE has actually been pretty rock solid for me, but RBLX is quickly becoming a fav of mine. I love that company.
COKE not KO, COKE is the bottling/distribution part of the business. Their 5 year avg FCF growth is 29.2% even assuming the next 5 years will be 13% fair value is around $170 a share or a 34% margin of safety. Definitely one to keep on the watchlist and do more research.
I bought COKE before the split during covid. Only bought 5. After the dividends reinvest and the split it's up to 51. Currently sitting at $40 profit a share

I bought COKE a couple years ago. They immediately did a stock buy back, which pushed the price up, did a special dividend which gave me a nice chunk of change, and then more or less held steady until this 10:1 consolidation. I bought some more. Don’t trust me lol, but I’ve got this one!
The issue right now is the aluminium tariff.....COKE's main costs of aluminium cans.
I used to own it. Sold out because they're hitting a limit on their growth and running out of ways to deploy capital effectively. In my opinion at least it didn't deserve the valuation it got. That said, COKE has outperformed KO for awhile now.

Wow, so sorry about your situation. Given your variables where you need cash available and MSTY is your income source, I can’t imagine this as a good play. If COKE takes off like a rocket after a split, you could make money selling the stock off. And then what? The income is gone. And even betting on a massive quick surge is iffy for reasons others have shared.
I'm sorry, but you're screwed. If you need money, the only way it'll be guaranteed to be there is if you sell what you need now. Both stocks could go up, but both could go down (MSTY could absolutely go to 0 if people stop gambling with options on MSTR). COKE likely won't change significantly in price post split (in theory it'll go from one share priced roughly $1165/share to 10 shares at $116.5/share). I hope it works out for you, but the general rule is to not invest anything you need immediately.

I sold 100% of my COKE position in Feb 2024 for part of the down payment of a house. Today I reopened a small position. It’s down quite a bit due to softening margins, but I still thinks it’s a safe stock to own long term. There is a shareholder meeting today to approve a 10-for-1 stock split.
I own COKE but not KO. I guess, it's time to buy KO too. Costco is another company that rejected anti-DEI proposals. Are there any other companies shareholders that rejected anti-DEI proposals? I need to buy those to balance out my TSLA 😕.
It’s a completely dIfferent company, independent of KO. KO owns a stake in COKE but only holds a 5% voting power.

Good question, that's actually my fuckup. Turns out I've had the wrong ticker on my watchlist: stock ticker COKE (Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated), rather than the original KO (Coca-Cola).

If you had invested 10k in COKE on 12/31/24 you'd have 155k now. If you'd done it 5 years ago you'd have 58.5k. Sometimes it's not where you think to look.

I always have regretted not buying it back in 2017. My grandpa had friends that invested in COKE and made a killing back then. They're always expanding their bottling operations and americans will never stop buying Coca Cola drinks during a recession
Coca Cola Consolidated (COKE), which is a bottling company has grown like a tech company over the last 10 years but probably has the same limited downside as KO. They are probably the most efficient bottler in the US and also bottle tons of non coke products as well. They aren't that big so they don't get a lot of coverage but they have fantastic historical returns and have held up pretty well since the tariff nonsense.
COKE which I guess is their distribution? I don't even know.
