I don’t even know what to do with one of my stocks LTCH because they are doing the same thing. Hasn’t reported since Q1’22 and the founder + CFO has stepped down. A new interim CEO from a “takeover and turn around”company has been there for almost 6 months with no reports either haha. So down I might as well lose the last bit too at this point.
Latch (LTCH), which Chamath Palihapitiya called the “Best SaaS company I've ever seen/invested in,” has been the most destructive turd in my portfolio. It’s really been embarrassing.
I’ve got $ANAC pre merger holding steady around $10 that will likely liquidate. Then SOFI, RKLB, EVGO, PTRA (all of whom I still have hopes for) and future tax lost harvesting opportunities in LTCH and VLD.
LTCH has been another SPACtacular failure for my portfolio....
Am I the only one buying up all the Electric Vehicle stocks for pennies. ARVL LTCH EVGO GOEV NKLA SOLO RIDE WKHS. Seems like low hanging fruit seeing as the whole world will be changing over the EV over the next 10 years.
I like Electric Vehicle stocks. Right now the biggest movers like LTCH, ARVL, NKLA, RIDE are dirt cheap and countries are completely eliminating gas cars by 2030. They remind me of young Elon's Tesla. Heavily shorted and betted against but will change the world. Or you can buy dead retail stores and BBQ grills. Up to you. Me personally I'd rather be ahead of the curve. Buy low, sell high.

I like Electric Vehicle Stocks for the long game. Right now they are super cheap and heavily shorted. Reminds me of when Tesla started. My advice is that you guys buys up all the LTCH ARVL SOLO WKHS EVGO GOEV NKLA RIDE etc while they are still affordable. In 10 years some of these will definitely be in the 100's. In early 2021 Chamath was throwing PIPEs around like a degenerate WSBer. For example, LTCH, which he tweeted was “the greatest growth opportunity he’s ever seen.” It’s now at $6.19
QRHC, GCI, NYCB, ALLY, CARR LKQ, GPK, O, KO, and SHIP. Going to throw LTCH in there for a little more risk/speculation but I'd like some boring value and safety stocks to take some of the teeth out of the volatility whenever it comes to bite my portfolio.

Curious on thoughts about LTCH. They had a decent earnings call but stock still went down. Appears to have solid fundamentals but maybe they just aren’t exciting enough or have too slow of a steady growth.

Disagree. I think LTCH and SMRT are highly undervalued. Here’s the pitch: Real Estate is one sector of the economy that hasn’t had a digital transformation yet. We have thousands of smart-home devices that provide tremendous benefits to residents, thousands of services that need to get in your house like dog walking and grocery drop off, all of which is coordinated via an app, yet all of this relies on a physical key. That’s absurd. A physical key that can be lost and must be replaced between residents. A physical key that you can give to your housekeeper….untill it gets stolen. That’s crazy. In just a few years, nearly everyone new construction multi family development will have either Latch or SmartRent. Eventually, Amazon is going announce a partnership with one of those 2 companies to allow AmazonFresh to deliver groceries right into your fridge via one-time-use codes on your smartlock. That will happen, and I know which side of the trade I want to be on when it does.
One company I think will do well in the coming years is LTCH. It’s a new company, but their product is really solid. They make smart home/lock hardware and integrate it all together in an app that creates recurring revenue. Their target market is apartment buildings because they can install it throughout the building in each tenant’s place. They’re installed in 1/10 new apartment buildings already, have a solid team with solid backgrounds, and could be interesting in the next few years
Well, I think what makes LTCH unique is how they work directly with developers and lock them in to subscriptions. Something like 1 out of 4 new properties have Latch built into them it seems. Something like Ring or Nest is interchangeable. Resident installed, etc. This is a sort of sticky hardware and software model.

No PTS from analysts yet that I'm aware of but they're releasing earnings on Monday. So I expect they will follow shortly after. My personal view was that SmartRent/FWAA deserves at least a 15-20% premium to LTCH.
