Same, especially since a PC lets me play all the classic console games too. Thinking of getting a PS5 though once they becomes available again since it’s a hell of a lot more powerful than anything I can get on PC for a reasonable price. There are a few exclusives that I want to play too.
🙏. This is an iphone with an old 'feelie' item that came with a fallout PS4 game, called a Fallout 4 PipBoy edition. The interface is HTML5/CSS though so raspeberry pi on a 3d printed case would be a great choice, need to upgrade one's workbench for that.

No, you are wrong for several reasons: 1) I never said that stocks with high PS ratios won't appreciate in price. But what this data does show (including the article I posted), is that stocks with high PS ratios will underperform over the long term relative to other stocks. If you're looking for huge returns, you won't get it by investing in stocks with high PS ratios. 2) It doesn't matter that the companies on this list grew their revenues to bring down their PS ratios, the point is they *never had high PS ratios*. That's precisely why these were the best performing stocks - they demonstrated strong revenue growth (along with other factors) but the price never got too far ahead of their valuations. The higher the PS ratio, the stronger the revenue growth has to be in order to maintain a high PS ratio. 3) I never said this was a holy grail, and I don't make investing decisions based purely on PS ratios. But the data is clear. All those other factors don't matter at all if history shows that stocks with high PS ratios underperform over the long term. If you want to buy stocks with PS ratios over 60, go right ahead. Maybe you'll get lucky and one of them will be the one exception to the rule. More than likely, however, those stocks will disappoint you. And the reason is very simple: stocks with high PS ratios have already seen their share price pushed up to an unsustainably high level, so a good deal of the growth has already been baked in. NET is a perfect example. This stock has returned 5x in less than 18 months and is now trading at a PS of >80. The time to buy this stock was at a more reasonable valuation, like when it had a PS of 25 back in Sept 2020. At that point the share price was $41. People buying the stock at these levels have already missed 600% gains and it is inevitable that NET will correct in a big way at some point (or trade flat for a long time while the revenue growth catches up to the share price).
A lot of high growth companies rely on selling expenses to the point that it should be considered cost of goods sold. I look at PS, cash flow, reducing losses, key competitive advantages, high margins, and so on … High growth companies with disproportionately widening losses are not worth it.
It doesn't matter if bad companies have low PS ratios, I didn't draw any conclusion about low PS. The purpose was too look at high PS ratios since those tend to be the high flying growth stocks. I didn't cherry pick anything, I literally took the list of the best performing stocks over 2010-2020. Plus I added in a few high profile IPOs during that period. You seem to be missing the basic rule of logic here: if stocks that provide the best returns never have high PS ratios, then a stock with a high PS ratio won't give you strong returns. That doesn't mean you can't make money investing in stocks with high PS ratios, but it does mean that your potential returns are limited.
Let us do the math, assume the total share of 10 Bio, with 2k cost 100 EUR. So for now market cap of 5Mio (from 10 Bio/2k) x 100= 500 Mio EUR. Do you believe the company worth that value, or worth even more... if you have financial info, you can run PE, PB, PS, or PCF value. My guess, it is still cheap in price.
Just a one of one, whipped up for this year's Hallowe'en costume. Fallout-style, cobbled together from things that were scrounged around the house: A cellphone, an old pip boy from a PS4 fallout game, some yellow labelmaker tape, a laptop to do some code. Combined together on a workbench, to make a new item to equip.
Netflix, Tesla, Chipotle and Snap 🚀 PS WHY AREN'T YOU SLEEPING GUYS?
Mate. Their forward PE is like 220. PS is 46, price to free cashflow close to 350… Its massively priced.
How do you know bad companies can't also have good PS ratios if you don't look at them? Your same group is extremely small, because you cherry picked your companies. So any anomalous data is more likely to skew your results. Your study absolutely does not show that companies with hight PS ratios do poorly over time, because you didn't look at any companies with high PS ratios. Based on the data you provided, it's literally impossible to know anything about any companies with high PS ratios because there are no companies with high PS ratios in you dataset because you haven't looked at them.
Why would I need to know what bad companies look like? I'm not interested in investing in bad companies. If the stocks that perform the best over the long term never have a high PS, that means a high PS won't give you strong returns. It's that simple. As to your other point, all I'm trying to show is that the PS of the best stocks over the past decade never hit a high level, and when they did it wasn't sustained. Average PS is irrelevant. What this data set shows is that investing in companies with high PS ratios is unlikely to give you good returns over the long term.
It doesn't matter, the point is no company can sustain the kind of revenue growth necessary to support a high valuation. A PS of 60 is very, very different from a PS of 20.
Bulgaria. Also that is one of the main factors about why almost any investor wants to have exposure to the U.S financial markets. Culture=money. As I said, Halloween was not even a thing here 20 years ago, now every chick is buying pumpkin spice latte. PS: Sorry for Vlad.

\[DELETED BY AUTOMOD\] I sold a covered call expiring today. The stock was around 1.01% above the price target of the call option at market close. It went down after hours, below the call price target. The option does not appear under the options section. I still have all my stocks. Will I be assigned, did the buyer forget to execute or is just RH hasn't processed it yet? PS: I know, I should move out of RH, but I am using it for the learning experience and no fees on options. For long term investing I am using a different broker.
I know it’s not in PS territory anymore since the reverse split, but i learned about it here so it seems relevant: $NMG is up like 40% this week. Looks like it might have finally started to perform to potential
Well, I wonder what some of the high-flying SaaS stocks of today look like! [Check out this chart](https://viz.wiijii.co/chart/?id=ZksOX5D3JwRa44KEr7fH) comparing their PS to MSFT!
>I made a list of all the best performing stocks over that period, added a few notable IPOs from earlier in the decade, and then looked up their highest PS ratios. I don't believe that your method is valid. This dataset can't show you what bad companies look like so you don't know if underperforming companies look any different making your conclusion irrelevant. You need to look at a broad basket of different qualities of company and to find correlations between similar quality companies that aren't shared by other groups of companies. I'd also argue that all time high PS is irrelevant. That's a single point in time over *ten years*, average PS over ten years (probably a mode, *maybe* mean or median) is a much more relevant number as it's more representative of the company overall rather than the company on a given date.
What if they have a high PS but high revenue growth? The PS would come down even if the share price is increasing as long as the sales growth outpaces the share price growth. IE: fb, goog, nflx, Nvda, amzn, to name some from your list.
Sounds cool, but I'm not sure yet how to play those GME games on my digital only Xbox, digital only PS5 and disc-less gaming PC
Maybe so, but: * Trading at a PS >50 * Annual revenue growth had been progressively slowing (73% -> 65% -> 42%) * 7-8x appreciation in stock price since IPO means a lot of investors are sitting on a lot of profit that will be taken at the first sign of trouble
PLTR is going to $30 by the end of the year. Gonna be deja vu like last December. Who wants a PS5?

If your poor are you allowed to own PS5?
Glad someone else sees the same thing I am seeing! As you say, the issue for investors is price discovery. One big takeaway for me is that a potential investor really has to internalize that the $10 (mostly) price of the SPAC stock is meaningless. The relevant variable is how much the SPAC sponsor is paying the current target's owners and the total stock that will exist (including PIPE, target owner share), i.e., the total valuation and how much of that your $10 buys. (Plus of course fundamentals like moats, addressable market, management, competition, etc.--things that an IPO manager would have spent some effort checking out.) PS-- Meanwhile, I'm happy to say that right now (9:50AM Oct 14), IonQ has moved up to $120 again!! I am hoping this means that the short-termers have moved on and real discovery is happening, and long-termers think it should be higher . . . we'll see.
True enough, and here we are, past the tipping point. I won't revert to prohibition again, so it's just a matter of patience and choosing a solid player with good fundamentals and a vision for where this all goes next. Cannabis is a 'dirty" endeavor....it's sticky, "ashy" (if smoked), and that peculiar smell. Many don't or won't engage it (edibles not withstanding) because of these things. Cannabis connoisseurship is on the rise....but it's held back by that underlying nastiness. Whoever cracks that problem will be one to follow. PS...if you think I have a negative view on any of this, it's because you can't smell the bong rips I just took🌞🌞🌞
CEO compensation does matter because it's how they allocate their money. Put it this way, if they gave 100% of their cash to their CEO, they would go out of business and if they gave 0% of their cash to their CEO, they would have $13.2M more dollars to spend on expansion, increasing efficiency, etc. 2. I agree that plenty of companies grow through acquisition. However, this is supposed to be a growing industry. If you're in a growth industry and you're not growing much, it's a red flag. 3. I think OP is saying TLRY has serious competition PS - The wealth inequality comment is just a side note, and it's also true.
I think FUBO has potential. I like the addition of sports betting. Idk a lot about them and all my media is consumed through a PS4 where I don’t get the platform, so to me it looks like they need to expand into more devices. But like I said, I have a very narrow frame of reference. NIO I think is solid and any Chinese crackdown is temporary. SKLZ I don’t know much about, but I like the gaming industry. But it is ultra competitive. Especially mobile gaming. PLUG I also like. But GOEV you struck a nerve with. Sorry I may get pretty negative, but I do not trust this company, and it’s only my opinion but I try to warn people away when it comes up. There have been several little things from awhile back, but the biggest that I called bullshit on, was when they pivoted to the microfactory idea. Now here’s the thing. I was watching both ARVL and this at roughly the same times pre-merger. And the original idea came from ARVL. They have built their entire business around this model. So, after CIIC(ARVL) shows up on the scene with this possibly game changing manufacturing process, Canoo(already taking some heat over some things I cant remember) decides to pivot to microfacrories. Now manufacturing cars is really difficult. Even Musk has been quoted as saying as much. So In my mind, it seems that if you are able to just change your entire manufacturing process on a dime, you were selling me bullshit to begin with. Because if you can do that, you had nothing to begin with. Sorry that was a little long and rant-y.
Can I download Robinhood on my PS5?
What type of hardware you need for gaming. Lol I thought you just buy a PS5 and hook it up to the TV
Pretty sure you don’t know what anyone was pissed about since you obviously don’t keep up with foreign policy. PS: foreign conflict is not limited to “going to war”. Which makes Trump’s achievement even more remarkable. Facts are facts.

I'd say the PS5/Xbox was probably the first big one, but Apple will be huge. I mean a ton of people have been talking about doing your holiday shopping right now.
I don't like buying options on High dividend paying stocks because they tent to not move much. In this case they moved but completely against you. Ouch PS, why did you hold them until exp?
You say “I don’t sell options” here’s a very long time fact, 85% of people who BUY options lose money, flip side 85% of those who SELL options make money. Are you part of the 15%, very possibly, but for how long does a 150 batting avg. beat an 850 batting avg. in the long term? PS: I know there are no 850 hitters, it’s an example
I distinctly remember buying a PS vita from Gamestop about 4-5 thanksgivings ago. There's nothing like buying a new console and playing games on it for the first time.
It sucks to work on a holiday. We just had our Thanksgiving here in Canada. I actually was at a Gamestop, former EB Games, in Stratford. I had made a snide a comment like a typical customer on these days, like 'sucks you have to work today. The cashier answered that it's perfectly fine for him; their schedule to work that day is completely voluntary, and since 95% of their staff is students/yougins looking for extra money anyways, no one complains and everyone wants to work. PS. i know the irony of going their on holiday and trying to symapthize with them working on said holiday...
I just realized it’s been almost a year since last Black Friday and you still can’t buy a PS5 or Xbox at retail price
You’ll never make money in any venture looking for ‘quick riches’. It only leads to demise. Invest with a professional. Or else they’ll take what’s yours and you end up on the ‘junk pile’. PS. The stock market is the most rigged casino in all the land
All we need is GameStop to start a deal with Microsoft regarding selling their Digital Video Game codes, through N-F-Ts. That would give use the ability to resell our old Digital games we no longer play. Same way we can sell N-F-T art . That'd be an absolute first , in this digital age for Video Games. Unfortunately I dont think they would be able to do this with Sony and PS games, due to those greedy fucks stopping the sales of Digital Codes It forced them to split a small % of the profits for each Digital Code sold , with the store that sold it

Sadly the greed of homosapiens [sic] is not only the downfall of that species alone. Very likely it won't even be the downfall of that species, while it will be for countless others. PS: Roflmao, automod removed my comment because I spelled homosapiens correctly with a space between the words and the first word was offensive.
Yeah I agree. I don't see anything wrong with it. PS+ is kinda necessary anyways, and being 'forced' to buy an extra controller and game that can be traded for what you'd rather have isn't a terrible deal. But these are the same scalpers who scalp $200 pair of yeezys to try and flip for $10 profit each. They'll scalp these bundles for like $50 profit.
Not good news. Aside from the horrible employee treatment Why? It’s not like they have any PS5’s to sell.
And only 1 in 4 will have a PS5 or Series X
GameStop will only sell PS5s in store during special events. If you’re looking for one the best option is signing up for a PlayStation Direct. They do events every couple of weeks. It’s a lottery to get the opportunity to buy one at specific time. I know a few people who bought one through them. It takes a few tries but it’s by far the easiest way to go about getting one.

How anybody thinks GME is a good company is beyond me. Does nobody remember getting offered like $2 for trading in barely used PS games?
PS- most of my positions have weeks left on them. Plenty of time for things to turn around. Not my CLOV puts tho. Those expire Friday. Not giving up on those just yet either tho. Hopefully that shit dies tomorrow.
It's beyond belief to me that you would claim it's unethical to require vaccination even if we were faced with extinction. That's not morality, it's just blind adherence. PS I too worked in an ER for 5 years. It was a very large city hospital that absorbs a huge regional pop, and is a level 1 trauma center. My wife still works there. I know what's up.
The answer is that the good news/optimistic views are priced in. Here's an example. You have a lemonade stand, you make $100/year (simplified). You disclose that your lemonade sales are increasing and expected to make 10% more next year. The market assigned it value of 5x multiple or $500 for the business. Additional news / optimism highlighting this does not increase the value of the bussiness because it's known information or expected. If sales went up by 7% instead of 10%, then the value can go down even if the news is good because the market was expecting more. PS: if you look at the financials, I see it as overvalued. There is future potential, sure, but no one start bussiness where they don't see potential so paying high premium for potential is foolish imo. The bussiness is losing money, so each day of business, there is a intrinsic loss of value for the stock holders as the cash pile depletes.
I’m confused. What’s the move? PS Solid DD
Just finished Clickbait on Netflix. Pretty good show with twist and turns. Worth a wash. PS. SPY $450 by end of month.
Hi. Thanks for your input. I welcome all opinions, the bullish ones and the bearish ones. I read your comments from 4 months ago in the link you provided. I would like (with the help of OP) to further discuss them. ***1- "FAMI will have to do additional offerings in the future, or further dilute the stock to be able to run the company"*** A stock dilution would be counter productive at this stage, don't you think? This is assuming that FAMI does everything in its power to remain listed in the Nasdaq. You were right however concerning the need to do additional offerings, as demonstrated in their recent offering of "[$81 Million Underwritten Public Offering of Ordinary Shares and Pre-Funded Warrants](https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/farmmi-inc-closes-81-million-underwritten-public-offering-of-ordinary-shares-and-pre-funded-warrants-to-purchase-ordinary-shares-1030801916)" OP ( u/Diogenes85) : could you share your thoughts on this recent offering? PS: I am not being here cynical - in relation to your name "Diogenes" :) I am just trying to bring forward some relevant criticism points. ***2 - "94% of FAMI sales is inside china, 6% outside"*** I do not share your concern on the concentration of FAMI's sales inside China. Their domestic market in my view, is a big enough market and is growing... ***3 - "They only do normal shrooms, edibles. No hallucinating stuff etc."*** I am not "that" disturbed that the hallucinogens market is not being addressed or considered. Each company has its own vision... I am however quite reassured with their planned expansion into other segments like the Health and Wellness. A last thought/comment: I spent some time online to gather additional information on this opportunity. From what I can read, there is a revised interest out there for FAMI. One can expect a surge of the SP in the coming days. Thanks.
Essentially, like a stock. As far as the taxes go, I let someone else worry about that ... and then I pay them, complain and start all over. I'm not seeing any reason why any profits cannot be channeled back into the IRA as part of your max contribution, If you're asking if you'd be allowed to buy them, the answer is most likely, Yes. Where you'll find resistance is in the stated focus of your account. I had to change mine to risky, it took 5 seconds. I personally don't call those decisions risky; I call them considerably more volatile than ... energy stocks. PS: I'm not a tax guy. If it's important, ask one. But don't worry TOO much about this. Trading is a learning curve and the Market is correcting at the moment. Make friends who trade. It's good support and quite a bit more fun. I'm in constant contact with somebody via text messaging most of the time I'm trading.
Been playing the PS5 here and there since I got it two weeks ago. Loving it. Calls on Sony.
Many of us have dove into the rain of cheap and easy to access money. Some go in smart and legal and some just YOLO in and don't consider the tax and interest consequences. I suspect a ton of people will end up in federal prison because of improper PPP load applications or not having enough employees. It almost seems like a trap considering how badly the federal government failed us all during Trump's Covid fiasco, but that's another leg of the American story for another day... People who have never even had a savings account (like me) now have investment accounts instead. I'm in a holding pattern waiting for my passport renewal and planning a long vacation cruise to look for a new home country. America is just too awesome for me. I can't take anymore awesome "Murica" style, had enough thanks. On the bright side, many of the formerly poor neighborhoods in the city just don't look as poor these days. First off. Literally everyone I know living in the poor neighborhoods in southside are renters. They are mostly black and every landlord I have seen or interacted with (I worked with them as a process server and did the evictions at the properties they own). The landlords that are not slumlords are OK, but they all over charge and use the excuse of the anti black stereotype to prejudge all the potential renters. Then they put onerous stipulations and fees over the heads of the renters who are just trying to come up and make it out of the rental trap... The rental situation is the one stumbling block that keeps poor people around here burning through their cash at an accelerated rate compared to the rest of us (they aren't all wasting it on fancy rims, sorry racists). That rental cash goes to feed the already well off middle class whites that moved to the suburbs when the first black families started moving into the neighborhoods that were considered working class back in the segregated era, but I digress on the point. I think we all can admit that blacks have been well used (by the machine if you will) during our stay in America. Many of the (mostly young) "poor" (just using the word poor out of convenience because I don't see them as poor, I happen to be in the same financial boat and do not consider myself poor either) men and women are working regular jobs (especially Amazon trucking), plus a significant side hustle or three they were forced to pick up during the lockdown. I see barber shops and beauty salons in the houses mostly but also mobile businesses like carwash, power wash the house and some dudes do a mean shade tree mechanic in their backyard too. The underground economy is stronger and smarter than ever! If you actually have friends in "the hood" you will know this already. I used to sell bootleg DVD's (years ago obv) until the local cops arrested me and the team for copyright infringement... dismissed at trial, but they kept all our inventory... I actually spent time in cuffs and was interrogated for 8 hours for selling movies at the barber shop. IOW the cops actively stop progress in the hood, but they are not so eager to do the same kind of invasive, proactive policing in the burbs that has been so completely ineffective and destructive in the hood. I don't wonder why. Now that weed is legal here, people are committing fewer crimes and the cops are not nearly as visible and proactive as before (because they are no longer needed). The homicide rate has not spiked in my city over the lockdown and it shows no signs of significant increase on the horizon... If you regularly transact business in these spots you already know how things have transformed. Its a good thing. A lucky fortunate thing. Already the authorities are licking their chops looking for victims to target, but that's another ongoing story of American double standards, racial injustice and promises not kept by our leaders. The fact that poor neighborhoods are so deeply ignored, misunderstood and intentionally scapegoated, blamed for all the ills of America and on and on ad nauseum, means that most wealthy people (including our political and social leaders) don't really know or care what is actually going on in these places to cause this so called labor shortage. The narrative (also known as a big fucking lie) is all that matters and they peddle it like used car salesmen. Yes there are many people who will not go back to the shit jobs and unequal relationships with their financial superiors. I'd rather die personally. Either way I could not control my frustration so why put myself back in the machine? Once we have seen the flaws there is no going back to the so called good old days and we have seen more than enough. The snobbery in American culture and rank and file people is the fuel that feeds the class warfare promoted by the elites on social media, tv news etc. We fall for it every time and then wonder why the 2 party system does not work and has all of us butthurt all day and angry at the other side like some fucking adolescent gang members beefin over turf. The consequences for our stubbornness and refusal to compromise are showing as the America is in yet another malaise era or whatever you want to call this walking on thin ice period of growing debt (household and sovereign) and political unrest. If I was to make a blind guess I would say that the cops will probably smash all this progress to bits once they get bored. The ruling elites will crash the economy and our investment will stall. Then we will be forced to go back into the machine just like every other period in the past. At this point America is a lie in my eyes. A sticky tarpit of deceit. Hoping I can wriggle out to safety before the one of the major shits on the horizon hits the fan. Seen enough to know that there is no place for us here. PS Sorry for the WOT. I cannot sleep and have a lot on my mind these days...
Which one has the PS5s in it?
Not just the anti-trust but look up the percentage of the portfolio from the top 10, heck even the top 5 companies. Do you think Apple, Google, Amazon will continue to grow at astronomical rates like they have in the last 15 yrs? Nvidia has a bit of ways to go but Google/Apple/Microsoft have acquired so many companies over the last decade that they have started to slow down. A lot of regulations and months or years of anti-trust investigations are preventing further overtaking into large chunks of the market. Right now they are fairly over priced as well. Check out the P/E or P/FCF on the top 10 holdings in the $QQQ. Markets tend to expand and then contract towards the mean (avg value P/E essentially). Right now we've gone through a massive bull market over the last 20yrs (after the Tech bubble that is). While I think that a lot of growth is still contained within $QQQ and I'm sure the share appreciation will be decent in the future, I'm warry about $QQQ's P/E at 36 right now. That's fairly high, even for decent growth companies. Quantitative easing is about to start being tapered as well (or at least it should be or Powell will end up really making it worse). To top it off, we are seeing a multitude of supply chain constraints compounded by people just overconsuming because of being contained in the house. What happens next yr when we end up with a significant amount of oversupply finally. You'll most likely see a lot of revue numbers start dropping. All these people will not keep dropping $$$ on consumer goods forever like this. A large part of it is psychological FOMO and with tech items, a lot of BOT scalping. PS5s/Xbox/Nintendo/Graphic Cards/Pokemon' cards/"Collectables", / Vehicles / Houses / etc. I think going forward, if you want to drop some money into $QQQ, I would dollar cost average and make sure you're going to stay in it for another 10-15yrs to make it worth it. I'm not necessarily a bull/bear market person, but mainly a dollar cost average/investor with a long term outlook. Even so, the next couple yrs is going to be iffy/eh/hum... LOL. I do wish you the best though. I myself have some $QQQ long term holdings as well. If you can afford it when you get up to 100x shares of $QQQ, you can do far OTM CC's for some premium. That way you can lower your average holdings cost by making some premium off very low risk options.
I've read a "conspiracy thought", that could actually make sense in broader context - ships are bringing ordered not paid goods and they are not allowed to unload it because of lack of liquidity. I am not US so I can't approve nor decline it, what do you guys think? PS, accept my free award OP, nice photo
And how is a new PS4 still like $400+ ... Wtf
Trading liquidity. Think for a second about relative trading volume of: $1tn company by market capitalization (ADTV as of Fridays close: 80MM) vs 2 tickers of companies that are (a) domiciled outside of the US and (b) each of those company's founding pre-date the Civil War (so no uptick in trading activity from Reddit/Discord YOLO hype) Not only that, I suspect the meme stock investing community actively **hurts** trading liquidity for both Nintendo - meme stonkers usually have a pretty strong opinion on vidya hardware, and it's generally one of Sony/PS or MSFT/Xbox and FiatChrysler-Peugeot - stonkers, again, have a pretty strong opinion on traditional/mature ICE auto manufacturers VS EV SPACs (achieving +$10bn valuations based on 2028E Sales multiples....but I digress...), so it's unsurprising those tickers are trading at an illiquidity discount.
Bring that yacht to Somalia...you'll be the pirate god in style. PS. Bring like 40 mercs, you can't just show up in your yacht cranking Donda.
Yooo apes. Anyone know what happened to FBALX today? I’ve never seen a mutual fund like this trending on Yahoo finance. It can’t possibly be down 8% today. Did they do some kind of distribution to offset? PS: I own a lot of it.
It is ridiculous to let anyone arrested for a crime with a gun out on bail. PS - I am very pro-(legal)gun ownership.
You will never be able to afford a PS5 with that attitude. You haven't posted a single stock except for being a gay bear on SPY a few times.
> PS4 lol at this peasant. Seriously though I too have a PS4. This stupid ass semi shortage is making me angry.
In Sekiro for PS4 there's a giant ape boss that throws his feces at you. Reminds me of you assholes
I have some personal scripts that I use for quickly filtering. I usually look for increasing revenues, profits, current liabilities that can be covered by cash/earnings, and a bunch of other factors. That said, if it is automated by a machine, you can be sure that any inefficiency you find in the stock price has already been removed by the big money. Put another way, purely quantitative evaluation is not helpful unless you are doing short term trades, the extra edge can only be gained by qualitative analysis. PS: I have had bad experience with using [polygon.io](https://polygon.io) APIs. Historical financials returned by their API had all wrong numbers. I had to manually verify against Yahoo Finance to figure this out. This is because they are switching to a new API called historical finance vX, so they just gave up on the old API and don't fix it even if it returns bad data.
I get it, but it's not as stimulating or fun. Plus a lot of day trading can be stupid easy, and very reliable. And if you're wrong, you can arrange your day trades so that a swing win is highly likely, adding a further safety net. Dumb strategy? I don't know. I'm at 80-85% win rate with daily picks of 12-18 stocks (about 300/month), including detailed descriptions of what is going on and what to expect for all of them, and their movements at different parts of the day (predicting from the day before). Very often calling the highs and lows and pivot points. Called the end of the Tech Downturn to the day. Often calling peaks to within pennies from hours or days away. It seems pretty reliable, not . . . "dumb." Maybe we use different strategies? PS - I like your username
I'd completely disagree with that. Since they actually don't manufacture their chips and instead rely on TSMC for doing so, they are actually limited by the shortage. They have the better product compared to Intel especially in the hugely important server market. They are gaining market share, but the lack of supply actually saves their rival at the moment. Similarly they'd have no problem selling more CPUs in the laptop/desktop market, chips for the PS5 or hugely in demand GPUs (even though nvidia still has an edge there). They'll also buy Xilinx, which adds some nice synergies with the FPGAs. I feel like they most of all need to work on their software and GPUs, but they kind of already have the product range that nvidia would like to achieve by purchasing ARM (which so far doesn't seem to happen).
Lmao. >Covid is at the tail end. Shit ton of vaccines out, and the mutations are likely going to become less deadly. Covid was at the tail end before delta showed up too wasn’t it ? Vaccines don’t work as expected, people still catching and passing the China flu, agree about mutations but that hasn’t helped make governments more rational in their handling of this. >Draconian lockdowns and mandates? Where? Mostly past tense. Still scattered around the world. Australia good example where they beat you for stepping outside maskless and entire blocks of businesses have permanently closed and businesses and people still not allowed to be open or go to work. Within the US we have places like NYC and LA where almost half the population isn’t allowed to patronize businesses because they’re unvaxxed particularly segments of the population like black people who remain 70% unvaxxed >Global shortages? It’s temporary because of shit logistics. How long can it last before the impacts of it are devastating? Why can’t grocery stores keep me stocked within the USA ? We don’t need shipping containers to get meat to grocery stores. Because trucker shortages ? Where’s the truckers ? Why’s it temporary? How long ? >Conflict with China and Taiwan? LMAO. Not going to happen anytime soon. China flying into Taiwan air space regularly. Making threats regularly. Maybe it don’t happen but if it does what is America and the world gonna do to help our allies? Will we let China control the chips? >Inflation? Temporary. Yield are barely 1.5% Why ? Because if yellen and JPOW say the word “transitory” enough if it makes it true? CPI is highest it’s been in a long time, businesses are paying more for shit then they ever have, food and gas not factored in and up way larger percentages. Wage inflation doesn’t tend to lower, wage inflation goes into permanent goods inflation. Adding money to the supply devalues the currency which causes non transitory inflation. >Political tension in the US pales in comparison to what is was in the 1960s. Bullshit. A year ago was far worse than the 60’s, I’d compare tensions closer to the 1860’s >Housing bubble? It’s being driven by low mortgage rates, which are FIXED for the majority of homebuyers. And the housing bubble isn’t everywhere, but hot markets will always stay hot. Everything is being driven by low rates. As rates rise buying cools down, as buying is cooling down people aren’t working and their unemployment money is ending, how many homeowners haven’t got their ok’d job back yet or found an equivalent so they can make their mortgage? some renters haven’t paid rent in over a year have all the landlords been reimbursed? Have the landlords been paying their mortgages? How much Chinese money in US real estate will have to liquidate their properties when their evergrande investments go by by? >And after a “crash” guess which companies recover the fastest? >High growth tech. 🤣 I agree. What happens if they can’t get chips in the near term? I haven’t been able to easily get a PS5 in like a year. How bad do you think Sony’s sales have been hurt? >There is plenty of FUD in the market right now. A lot with good reason. >The play was to sell end of august when Barron’s put that stupid megatech cover out. Agree. I went 50% cash. And been buying dips as of this week. >Prolly a little more dipping for the next two weeks and then back to ATH in QQQ and SPY. I have no doubt at least SPY hits ATH’s again before end of year and before the crash but I also have no doubt a crash is coming sooner than later. >Banks and energy will continue to get fucked. Banks will be fine with rising interest rates until the rest of the economy crumbles
C'mon TLRY I need a PS5! Well if they ever come in stock anyways.
How to get rich? Write a book on how to get rich. If you want to read and learn about the stock market (always a good idea when the subject is your money),go to Investopia website. You can learn what you need to know to get started. PS, don't start with individual stocks.
Because people have bad taste, and also MK was one of the PS+ games this month
Not sure but I suspect one makes a fragment of DNA and the other inserts the fragment into a cell which outputs a specific product. One is the brain, the other the 'body'. PS. I considered to invest in Twist but I also think Illumina is a good bet because they have a venture division which does many of the same things - [https://www.illuminaventures.com/our-portfolio](https://www.illuminaventures.com/our-portfolio) There's also Maravai if you are into rna synthesis. and this Codexis DNA which seems to assemble dna/rna from pre-packaged nucleotide base materials. Sort of a finish it off yourself system.
Like I said I didn’t get in before while the stock was low FOMO kicked in and like many others I bought near the top. I held for as long as I could but I realized that FOMO had controlled my thought process so yes I decided to sell for a loss at that time and thankfully I did because AMC has fallen %45 since then so I was lucky 🍀. I started to do my own research and found a stock that was still at the beginning stages of a potential squeeze. I have held this stock though lows a very high peak and again into the valley which is priming again for another big squeeze. I have found that these sub Reddit’s are like rabbit holes 🕳 and you can just end up going deeper and deeper into them and before you know it you are lost forever down one of these holes. Why do so many people end up doing this FOMO all about the FOMO. I truly hope that everyone investing into GME and AMC make tons of money and screw the HF F-tards. When you are investing on the hopes of a squeeze no matter how much DD you do it is much less about fundamentals and the company that you are investing in and more or a gamble just like playing T a casino. You and I are both sitting at that roulette table we keep playing the same number over and over it’s just I choose a different number than you. I may end up loosing, you may end up loosing but we both still believe our number will hit and win this we both have the same odds. PS you are welcome to revisit this post when you make your millions and throw it in my face lol again truly wish you all the best luck.
Stocks have no intrinsic worth??? Please forgive me for a noob question, but it seems like the only thing that decides a stock price is the ask/bid price for the day? Does that mean stock have no base intrinsic worth? I always thought that stock's value is determined by underlying company's net worth, and the ask/bid spread is just market force doing its thing on top of that... But it absolutely doesn't seem to be the case... Let's say I make a company "Garbage co." which has an asset of exactly 1 garbage can. During my IPO I convince investors that the garbage is worth 1000$. My listing day gains are 4% which entices more investors to bid higher. Afrer a while, my company's stock trade for 2,000$, my investors get consistent growth and I also pay regular dividends which keep investors happy. I get featured on finance websites and by all measures I'm a great company to invest in.... All while my company's actual worth is exactly one garbage can?? My question is, where is the fault in this line of reasoning- 1. A stock's market price is the price at which it recently traded at 2. The only reason a stock price can up is if someone is willing to bid higher than market price 3. But the only reason someone would bid higher is if they believe further down the line someone will bid higher than them and they'd gain profits 4. This process of believing in higher and higher bids has literally has nothing to do with the underlying company... 5. Hence, stocks are a Ponzi scheme??? . . PS- (Not calling equity market a Ponzi scheme, just trying to understand...)
Can I download Robinhood on my PS5?
Wow $20 to have Karen tell you she hopes you die because you don’t have a PS5 They know there will be massive stock issues, and the front line employees are in for more of a hellstorm then usual
after watching this for a while i don't think PE means anything. PS and PB more importnat
Anyone else hungover af or just me? PS: GME pls moon
If they are smart, they will restructure and go private. PS: Their donuts suck.
What the markets will never be able to calculate is the future price of TESLA. and That's why TESLA is gonna keep zooming boomer! No p/e is gonna tell me the worth of a tech stock, coz by definition p/e is only calculating whats already happened. There is a reason why BUFFET never invests in TECH (Only now he invested in APPLE , I say too late, Apple is already steadily declining and will go the IBM route), the beauty about TECH is that NOBODY knows the true valuation, coz **when it has not been even invented yet, how the heck will you ever know the valuation?** PS: Enjoy another video of Michael "BURRY" burnnnnninnggggg -> [https://youtu.be/vE-Mhe5Jg6k?t=1](https://youtu.be/vE-Mhe5Jg6k?t=1)
Waiting for that new zombie map to drop, off fri-mon so my weekend will be PS5 heavy
