The only issue I see tho is that you have to get a procedure to use DRTS…where RVMD and Moderna is a pill or infusion that doesn’t require a team to perform…ie money can exchange hands quicker. (Don’t hate…I bought more today) Curious on everyone’s thoughts

Bio is definitely moving. Look at year to date charts for RVMD, DRTS and SLS. Flat all year then jump mid April/ mid May a new plateau. Then June 15th all of them climbed fast to where they are now. ABVX chart would have looked the same but for a trial death that was found to be unrelated (see huge, obvious dip I missed :( I'm continuing to buy. DRTSW and RVMDW warrants move with more torque. They're up like 1000% this year. Can't believe no one talks about warrants.

1. Not AI at all. 2. Summit only has one product, Ivonescimab, which is essentially the same as Biontech's Pumitamig, with the slight PD-1/PD-L1 difference I mentioned in my post. That's also why the share prices of Summit Therapeutics and Biontech highly correlate. Biontech has a much cheaper valuation, though. 3. Not true at all. It's always a game of probabilities. Look at Revolution Medicines (NASDAQ: RVMD). They have a market cap of $40 billion USD despite having no revenue.

I don't think this is true. Look at Revolution Medicines (NASDAQ: RVMD). They have a market cap of $40 billion USD despite having no revenue. It's always a game of probabilities. With Biontech's current valuation, the market places zero probability of approval for any of their candidates. Which is arguably completely ridiculous.

The RVMD comp is the one that keeps me up at night honestly. Different mechanism, different patient profile, arguably harder indication — and they're sitting at 1B market cap going into survival data. If the numbers hold up even close to what we've seen so far this feels like it hasn't been priced in at all. This week is going to be something.

r/stocksSee Comment

RVMD is currently trading at 48x the value of DRTS by market cap. 32.1B / 668M if you want to do the math. I sincerely hope ALL of these companies win against cancer, but the opportunity in DRTS is so very asymmetric from an investing perspective vs. what it can become. The key is having patience.

RVMD is 3-6 months from approval. They will probably file before ASCO. The FDA awarded them a Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher for Daraxonrasib to treat pancreatic cancer, which is a 1-2 month review time. You'll see it used in 1L patients immediately after off label because the survival rate is better than FOLFIRINOX or Gem. Based on the data from tomorrow's presentation, Darax on its own may be as good as Darax + Gem in 1L. Many, many oncologists at AACR are predicting fall approval. The real question is how much approval is baked into the price now. I have zero idea, but the sell off on great news has started.

This is ridiculous but getting medicated for ADHD-C has actually made me a trader that is outperforming S&P 500 rn. Basically, more tolerance for reading dry af documentation and better control over impulse buying = I can invest the money that I'd have spent on my recently paid-off student loans on viable startups. Anyways, I'm only beginning to fund my portfolio but here are some memorable trades from April: EWY: hm, I kinda want semiconductors. Blackrock South Korea ETF has a lot of Samsung and these bankers will manage it for me. And I heard on morning brew/wall st journal podcast/brew markets that SK imports all its energy. Bought 1 share at $126.71 in early April. IONQ: this is a stupid story but an outside recruiter contacted me for an accounting position with them. Being an accountant at a publicly traded startup that bleeds money and is in its infancy is risky, so I decided to pass. But I called up my data scientist auntie for her opinion on quantum computers and decided to buy 2 shares at 31.64 in early March. Then I bought 4 more shares at $44.05 on the day of the Nvidia announcement. Yeah, kinda overspent on this one but whatever. But I'm selling at the first sign of trouble to avoid being like one of those dupes that bought into wirecard. RVMD: bought this one after hearing the promising stage 3 clinical trial results. Should I have bought earlier? Hell no, I'm not a biotech expert, so I need to make sure this is something that actually works and will prob get regulatory approval. A $136.18 well-spent imo. MAIR: we'll see how it goes, but I have 6 shares bought at 31.62. I'm specifically interested in their ability to do clean rooms for biotech and manufacturing, although the data center angle is useful too. AMPX: I'm curious about their newer battery tech and their recent government contracting. The expansion into the chinese EV market is also promising. Anyways, bought 6 shares at $14.75, then gradually increased my stake to 11.725 shares. I suppose a 13.72% return on one stock in like a month is nice. Anyways, my YTD return pre-tax is 6.94%. Truly, the difference that ability to read dry documentation and actually retain the business podcasts I listen to at the gym is a life-changer lmao

Nice quick win! But you're right to dig deeper now. Pharma is tricky because even "breakthrough" news can be years from actual revenue. For RVMD specifically - extending survival by 6 months in pancreatic cancer is actually significant (it's a brutal disease), but you'll want to check what phase trial this was and how far they are from FDA approval. Phase 3 trials can still take 2-3 years before potential approval. The real risk with pharma plays is that 90% of drugs fail somewhere in the pipeline. Before holding long-term, I'd look at their cash runway, other pipeline drugs, and partnership potential. Congrats on timing the news though - that's the hardest part of pharma trading!

There were rumors months ago that Abbvie (and then Merck) were both interested in RVMD and the stock went to around where it is pre-market before nothing materialized and the stock went back towards the $80's/90's. I think the results are clearly very positive - all cancer is bad obviously but pancreatic has one of the worst outlooks/survival rates of all cancers so this having the results it does is meaningful. This was a phase 3 so it's not that long off. I'm not chasing it up 35% this morning, but I am not selling the position I have and if there was a pullback I'd consider adding a bit more as I do think there's a decent chance this eventually actually does get bought.

I’ll go up to 12% portfolio weight on shares if it’s a long hold as an opening position. I got 10% on RVMD as an opener. But I’ve got bigger size elsewhere due to growth. I get sucked into averaging down on options and sometimes it gets too big. Sometimes I can bail out other times I cannot. I can easily drop up to 5% on quick flips. I try hard to avoid earnings plays unless it’s a LT hold. Greed is the killer though because if I just did quick flips of 10% id crush it. But I don’t keep scaling up the size on quick flips

RVMD owns the next gen asset in oncology and already has trials running on its successor which is even better. Merck has a $30b a year asset to protect in Keytruda. Stifel wrote today that $28-30 proposed takeover price for RVMD “may not be enough”. Whoever gets this asset will own the market for years. It’ll pay itself back many times over. I was in RVMD because their preliminary data was incredibly amazing. I'm out now though because I've made enough on it. They are launching next year, there's probably still some run up left, but usually biotech is a ride the hype and then sell the news once data is released. I'll jump back in if the stock pulls back after they release data. Think they will not have much of an issue commercializing if the data holds. Basically game changer in pancreatic cancer.

I’m in the same boat. I don’t want to say my starting point and end point because ppl with send hate mail, but I’m down about 500k from mid October top. My partner and brother in law say hold… think long term. But I don’t think I can keep seeing red every day… It will really depend on Nvidia earnings on Wednesday, that is going to dictate direction. I’m think of selling and rotating into healthcare stocks. The ones I’ve been following have been up 10-25% (Exel, RVMD, GRAL, … so many). Hedgies started rotating to recession proof companies in October but I was late to get on that train. Now I also don’t know what to do. I would read the book “best loser wins”. What I regret is not cutting quickly when my positions showed negative 2 days in a row. You could rotate and make it back, or just love your life and find the next thesis.
