I keep as little as possible in my bank….when SS comes in…transfer enough to my FOLD card, pay my bills & pay some in cash. Opened an acct w/Old Glory Bank as it’s a Conservative based bank. Stopped keeping Xtra $$$ in the banks a long time ago.

Does anyone here have the FOLD Debit card??? All of a sudden they’ve eliminated many merchants from their Bill Paying option where you could pay your Bill as a “Signature payment” and earn a bunch of SATS plus Extra Spins. This includes Chase Bank and I’m now unable to pay my Mortgage or car payment which truly is making me ponder whether paying a monthly fee for the Spin Plus card is worth it. Anyone else having same issue???

Anyone who leaves their coins on Coinbase or other platforms is risking what they have. I try to put everything in my wallet pretty quick. I just transferred my first haul of Bitcoin rewards from my FOLD Debit card earnings to my wallet the other day, which totaled $43 roughly 83,000+ Sats I was rewarded in about 2-1/2 months time. I didn’t even make that much in 2 years of RAKUTEN cash back rewards !!! I’m having a Blast using this Debit card and earning money just by paying my bills with it via PayPal Bill pay!! Does anyone here buy Bitcoin on their FOLD Debit card? My Oplan advisor (where I discovered Fold which I Love) told me not to purchase via their app. My next ZOOM MEET w/ him is next week but I’m curious as to why. For every $10 purchase you earn a Free Spin to even Stack more Sats so I’m not seeing the downside.🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly… I forced myself to learn about Bitcoin about 3-1/2 years ago. I started watching YouTube videos and felt safest opening a Swan acct. But then graduated to a Bitcoin Telegram channel and Community. There I learned about Oplan and got help creating my own wallet. I’m so happy I took those steps. The only regret I have is not starting sooner and also not finding out about the FOLD Debit card to earn FREE SATS on almost everything including bill paying thru PayPal. It’s truly amazing. Are you speaking to after the halving? I forced myself to learn about Bitcoin in 2020 & opened a Swan acct & did DCA for the most part in small amounts as I’m not rich by any means. Retired w/small pension, I got help w/setting up my wallet for self custody. I’m still learning but know more than most normies. I’m desperately trying to stack as much as I can B4 April but am so pissed they’re manipulating Gold & Silver w/their Fake Economic numbers including inflationary and jobs numbers. I’m trying to cash in on metals & convert to Bitcoin. I quit using Strike as their daily/weekly Limits were ridiculous!! I’ve never used Coinbase but prefer River. I’ve got a zoom set up with Oplan to set up a Blue Wallet which I hadn’t heard of before. I’m generally still a rookie as I don’t mine but I did get a FOLD debit card in November and can say I WISH I’d know about that sooner…as I LOVE getting FREE Sats for almost everything including paying Bills!!I still can’t seem to convince my family about Bitcoin. Breaks my heart that many may lose their savings eventually.😩

I stopped using Coinbase last year and now use FOLD…. Zero fees to buy. Fold is a prepaid debit card that earns sats on every purchase. I’ve been using PayPal bill pay through the card to pay my mortgage and get 1.5% back in sats…

It does not work anymore. I wish I joined earlier. I was getting over 2% on avg with spins in late 2022, then they changed to 1% flat (+spins that are garbage), then they reduced to 0.5% (+garbage spins) and now any paypal billpay transaction must be a "signature" transaction to get the 0.5% if you are paying the membership. Only one of my 8 credit cards that I use ends up a "signature" transaction and my mortgage is NOT, so it does not come close to paying for the $10 per month membership any longer. I had to quit the FOLD membership. I am hoping all the paypal billpay transactions gets rewards in the future and I will join again.

Unless paypal billpay is a "signature" transaction, it no longer pays the already reduced 0.5% rewards. I hope they fix that and I will join again as I really liked FOLD but at this point it is not worth it.

I must say since the announcement that paypal bill pay was fixed it has worked flawless for me. I could not get money over to FOLD fast enough to pay bills due in early May, but all transactions have completed with no issues. The spin rewards are not even close to what I was getting before the FOLD changes, but if you just accept 1% back on CC, mortgage and car payment bills is better than nothing and that bitcoin is going to be much higher in the future, all is good for me with FOLD for now. A tip for Paypal - I removed all payment methods and banks except FOLD debit unless I need them to avoid Paypal from selecting a backup payment that I did no want.

I believe this may be your solution that is posted at the Paypal Community Forum. *"I just payed my Citibank (Costco Credit Card) and Synchrony (PayPal's very own credit card) Credit Cards over the phone using the Fold Debit card. I've also been told that Chase will let you pay via debit card at any of their branded ATMs, but for some stupid reason, they don't allow debit card payment over the phone/app/websites.* *So, our double-dipping on CCs/Fold can still work, it's now just a PITA and takes twice as long to accomplish, but still worth it, in my opinion."* I drove 30 minutes to my local Chase bank (after on the phone Chase said I could NOT use a debit card) and yes I could pay my Chase Credit card with the FOLD debit card BUT there was no spinning of the wheel, no rewards with this transaction, no double dipping for me. My mortgage is through Newrez, which is found in the list of paypal billpay merchants. I can't call newrez directly and use the debit card so my FOLD days may be over. I see you were able to call Citi to use FOLD, but that may be one of the only CC's that allows this. I read Captial One may offer this too. I have every other card but Citi and now out of luck. Just tried to transfer some of my money from FOLD / Sutton and got a call from the Chase fraud dept and they denied the ach. I don't mind spinning a wheel when double dipping with credit card rewards, but I do not plan on using FOLD for initial purchases.

UPDATE on removing money from FOLD - Chase Fraud Dept just called 3/20. They can't take money from FOLD/Sutton bank and send it to my Chase account that I initiated from Chase website per the FOLD instructions. Unreal

I pay my CC bills the day I charge the card with FOLD and paypal bill pay. My last successful FOLD billpay was March 4. Paypal has tried telling me it is FOLD or the merchants and I have been through two 72 hour waiting periods for my FOLD card to clear security holds with still no luck. This is definitely a Paypal issue because today I tried my car payment and mortgage and both failed with FOLD. I have made \~70 payments this way since December and now it appears to be shutdown. Between this and the Coinbase debit card rewards still at 1%, this sucks!

My BJs Wholesale credit card just switched to Capital One and was found on Paypal bill pay but as we know, I can't use the FOLD card anymore with paypal. I tried to set up a payment with the Capital one app and website and it is only giving me an option for bank ach. No debit card option with FOLD.

I tried the Prism app, but couldn't get it to allow me to add the Fold card as a method of payment. I'm not seeing any other outfit that works the way PayPal did. They all require bank account (ACH/EFT) info. I also tried funding my actual PayPal account balance using the Fold card... No dice. I also tried using my Crypto.com prepaid debit card and had the same issues. It appears that PayPal is blocking the use of prepaid debit cards or maybe just those tied in any way to BTC/Crypto. Pro tip: You can link you FOLD card to PayPal bill pay. You can pay credit card bills through PayPal. So, you can buy everything with a credit card and get 1-5% back depending on the purchase type and type of credit card you have. Then, use PayPal bill pay to pay the credit card bill each month to avoid interest and eject to pay it using your linked FOLD card, so get you your sats reward on the credit card payoff.

On the first layer. The transaction of buying the Gift Cards from FOLD is pretty flush and I'm looking for another vendor who sell AMAZON Gift Cards and other cards via LN. But okay, I'm the idiot because I believe this is much more convenient way of buying products from these particular merchants as of now - while hoping in the future more merchants along with these three I mentioned accept payments via LN directly. The people using e-mails in 90s were idiots too. You could just send a Fax and they get the document right there on the spot. If you want to tell someone something, you can just call them. Why would you want to type to someone halfway across the world?
