You need to ZOOM OUT, on those charts, and look at the weekly candles or monthly candles. And your investment should have a goal of several years unless you are a day trader. And most day traders that use high leverage are going to be exposing themselves to un-necessary risk. If you are good, use low leverage perpetual bets and have patience. For most people whom 99% do not have the skillset or discipline to daytrade crypto, just Buy and HODL (Hang On for Dear Life) for a few years. You will be glad you did. If its a waste of my time to criticize one of the biggest and most wasteful speculative manias in human history then its definitely a waste of your time to criticize people doing that, since that's of even less consequence. The reality is you'd be fine if I was some mindless bagholder wasting their time repeating mindless platitudes like HODL and ZOOM OUT, you just don't like the existence of criticism of your get rich quick scheme.
ZOOM OUT. And you will see people from 2018 are not gaining purchasing power when inflation is soaring almost touching two digits. 4 years might be short term for you, perhaps. But never bitcoin had a cycle in which was coming back below previous ATH. And that is also one of the facts that shouldn't have happened after a halving. One thing is clear. Bitcoin depends on the bank notes printed by the FED. If there's no printing no purchasing power going up for bitcoin. And again, it sucks.
It is not if you care to zoom out. Unless you are seeking fast liquidity, or immediate liquidity of your store of wealth then you are still ok. Within the next few years what will bleed out more, BTC or fiat money. We are in yet another boom/bust cycle caused by the excessive printing of fiat and reckless govt spending. BTC once again was pumped as it was used as a parking garage temporarily when investment houses had more money than they knew what to do with. Over time it will once again claw its way past the old ATH, then once again freefall to where we are at today or even lower. Thats just what BTC does in its infancy stage of where we are at today, an that has to be accepted. Only when that ATH becomes astronomically extra ordinary an its true value is realized gaining an over saturation of mass adoption, then BTC's true value/store of wealth will forever be consolidated. ZOOM OUT. How can ppl say something that had an entry point of less than a penny nearly a decade ago, but is worth 19K today is not a store of wealth? It is your entry point that you are hung up on an it is irrelevant if you are long term. An if your not long term, then you are a trader, an shouldn't be talking about inflation/stores of wealth concept.
I keep seeing people focus on the recent price action over the last 8 months. ZOOM OUT. Over time commodities get cheaper against Bitcoin. This is indisputably a cold, hard fact.

I’m in for the long haul. I DCA every week, I’m going nowhere. Right now, it’s a bear market. We’re heading to recession and price could go down more. However, and I can’t say this loud enough, ZOOM OUT! If you zoom out, you’ll see we’re still way higher than the last major crash. You need to ask yourself why you bought the coins/tokens you have in the first place. What did you see that made you go, this is for me? You believed in the project then, so why not now? Yes, war with Russia and Ukraine isn’t helping, nor is the cost of living, covid, etc but as time goes on, things should improve. BTC is also being bought still by major VCs today… surely they’d be out if it was not good. I’m staying in for the next 10 years. I don’t even look at my portfolio much now.
