That is my current plan for my EVA calls, I expected it to go back down but my real gamble is waiting till after the 11th to make a decision. depends a lot on what you want to play. Any standard quality guitar will do for a beginner. Es335 is a hollowbody so it has more of an bright/warm sound. It can produce quite a variety of sounds tho. Will be enough for a beginner for sure. Not optimal for heavier music but can manage. Having a good amp is also important. Boss katana,Blackstar ID-core (10,20,30,40V),yamaha THR are good ones to consider. Personally I would buy a Ibanez RG421AHM-BMT if I was starting since it has 2x humbuckers and can therefore fit for my kind of playstyle aka heavier music. (also can play clean/warm songs too)
