my portfolio composition at the moment: 36% ETH, 35% Hyperliquid (HYPE), 10% CHEX, 7% USDC, 6.3% Parcl (PRCL), 3.5% SOL, 1.6% Eigenlayer (EIGEN), 1.1% GMX any thoughts on the portfolio and what should i be doing from here?

You don't have to buy the EIGEN token to use EigenLayer's AVS.

I was in a somewhat similar predicament more than a month ago. I split my money roughly in a 2:1 ratio, put the majority into stocks and the rest into crypto and also put some of initial profits into a Roth IRA account. In crypto I had put money on BTC and XRP only initially, sold most of my XRP at 2.6ish and reinvested in JASMY, ARB and EIGEN.

my portfolio currently: ETH 48%, HYPE 23%, CHEX 11%, PRCL 8%, SOL 5%, rest is EIGEN and GMX

100% holding my GALA, EIGEN, LDO AND ADA, the rest I'm not super committed to.

60% ETH, 12% PRCL, 9.2% SOL, 9.1% CHEX, 2.7% FOREST (absolute ai shitcoin), 2.0% EIGEN, rest is GMX, ATOM, TIA my portfolio atm

$TIA and a few EigenLayer plays like $EIGEN, $ETHFI and $REZ have nice potential. DA will eventually get commoditized but right now, these tokens could all get a fair amount of airdrops and the airdrop premium alone could 5-10x these IMO. There are a few others I have some conviction on, but honestly I think I’m a few months you’ll be able to throw a dart at a dartboard full of crypto tickers and likely hit a 5x. BTC dominance is at 61% rn, cut that in half and that will add a trillion $ to the altcoin market. That’s a lot of gas added to the altcoin market. That being said, I don’t think people will find many 100x’s without serious risk taking, which is why I made sure to express to OP that the likelihood of getting rich in crypto, especially at this point in the cycle, is basically non-existent. Not totally impossible but extremely unlikely.

True, but if you’re staking 1 ETH you’d be looking at selling out of about $3 worth of EIGEN weekly- I don’t reckon it’s worth the paperwork from the creation of a tax event

You can earn both standard ETH staking rewards, as well as AVS / EIGEN rewards for restaking

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Rewards are paid weekly - so if you don’t want to hold EIGEN / AVS tokens, they can be sold into other assets

ETH Restaking involves multiple types of rewards. Rates will vary over time - based on the volume of assets being staked in Ethereum, volume of assets restaked in the EigenLayer protocol, and overall value of rewards being issued. Reward types include: 1) standard ETH staking rewards 2) AVS (Actively Validated Services) Rewards in the form of ERC-20 tokens, granted individually by each AVS to restakers 3) EigenLayer’s Programmatic Incentives, granted directly to restakers by the Eigen Foundation, in the form of EIGEN token To see current reward rates, go into Kraken Pro, navigate to Earn, and select the Bonded Restaking option for ETH (availability subject to geo restrictions)

This cycle is so weird. I was looking forward to buying tokens of new projects this cycle…but VCs and insiders have literally captured the entire market of new projects. New projects will keep like 90% of token allocation for team and insiders, and then airdrop like 5-10% of tokens after a lengthy points campaign. So lame. I’m not buying a token with 10% float and an unlock cliff that happens in a year. And it looks like no one else wants to. Memes are stupid, and they also have insiders, but at least the token allocation is more spread out *once the insiders sell off their tokens from secret accounts* A regular person actually has a chance to make money on memes, and they probably don’t by buying coins like ENA or EIGEN. Which sucks because ENA and EIGEN actually are worthwhile projects, and we would want to invest if the VCs weren’t bloodsucking vampires

This is normal. After tokens are sold, the holders can then issue a governance proposal to enable transferability. Several projects with US teams have gone this route this year. It makes it such that the token issuers didn’t issue a security. The transferability was enacted through governance therefore the project is decentralized. At least, that’s what US lawyers are advising. Examples from this year: Arcade’s ARCD token and EigenLayer’s EIGEN token.

tldr; EigenLayer (EIGEN) has surged 23% in the last 24 hours, nearing its all-time high (ATH) of $4.24. The token faces resistance at $4.15, which, if breached, could lead to a new ATH. However, upcoming token unlocks may introduce volatility, potentially dropping the price to $3.75. Despite a decline in active addresses, the recent price rise could boost network participation. The macro momentum is driven by an upcoming 11.22 million EIGEN token unlock, which could affect the price dynamics. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Was this attacker Ether.Fi? They withheld countless EIGEN tokens from people who had accumulated points due to a last minute terms and conditions change after the snapshot.

I managed to get a couple of TAO at around $280 - but nothing too substantial. Mostly accumulated more ETH, and had been staking that to receive EIGEN and ETHFI airdrops xD

EIGEN tokens were stolen but from a hodler's wallet because their keys were in an email. This headline is like saying BTC was hacked because 1 person exposed their keys.

tldr; Cryptocurrency security firm Peckshield reported a security breach at EigenLayer, a blockchain staking infrastructure provider, resulting in the theft of 1.674 million EIGEN tokens, valued at $5.87 million. The attacker swapped the stolen tokens for USDC and transferred most funds to HitBTC, with a portion sent to Kraken. EigenLayer confirmed the breach was due to a compromised email thread involving a single investor and stated it did not affect the broader ecosystem. Law enforcement is investigating to recover the funds and identify the perpetrator. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.
