Yeah yeah Trust the company that was resposible for a major data breach, lying to customers about seeds NEVER being able to be retrieved from the device and then post tweets that it was always technically possible to retrieve seedphrase with the right firmware, and then FORCE users to update to new closed firmware with "trust me bro" if you still want to use the device. The device itself never failed, that is fact. And I never said it has. But the company behind it has proven to be untrustworthy so that's not where I will store my money.

This shows how little you comprehend how gas works. They CHOSE to pay that much to FORCE their tx through first. NFTs (in their prime) in particular, are a VERY fast moving market. When it’s pumping, the only way you were getting a buy to process was by front running. Most of the time these big gas buys were happening, if you got yours through, you were already in profit. Not justifying high gas, but I would prefer gas cost to “force” ppl to think about what they are doing. It forced people to hold and not just move in and out of everything with zero risk. I preferred trading within eth during the bullrun BECAUSE people were forced to commit to a trade, vs wish washy jeet traders bc they can and the tx cost pennies.

They can support 125x leverage, because those are futures contracts, where you trade against a market made by other users. (Or binance themselves, which is illegal, but only in the US, and only when Binance does it apparently) High customer satisfaction means that Binance has the funds, volume, and financial incentive from its users satisfaction. FTX in reality, had a large majority of its volume from Alameda and was overall mainly a bitcoin/eth exchange, Binance makes a killing in money from fees both from retail and from large market makers. As much as I want to agree with you, you need to stop looking at Binance from the perspective of some patriotic American, and look at it from the perspective of a realistic businessman. Binance circumvents laws, but it doesn’t screw over its customer base. If Pablo Escobar was dealing in weed, he’d be the richest man today “legally”. Stop taking *CURRENT* laws for gospel. The landscape WILL change. The US is trying to FORCE its laws on a business, that has been functional for 2 bear markets now. CZ is shady but he isn’t stupid. Sam was both shady and greedy, leading an exchange that mostly made its money from debt and loans. Even if CZ were greedy, his business makes so much money simply being the middle man, it is financial suicide for him to do what Sam did, so he doesn’t. He trades against his users a little, milks exchange fees a little, charges for launchpads and listings and deals in a plethora of shitcoins. The US doesn’t like this, and they will bring him down, but if you look it from any perspective other than this narrow minded US legislative perspective (which is extremely biased towards protecting the current US banks, US exchanges, and the US dollar; not protecting the US customer) then you might see how Binance (and Coinbase, and every crypto business or entity in the US in this coming year probably) are the ones being bullied here.

think of it this way: i didnt connect it for 2 years. then i did, to charge its battery and check if everything was ok. i didnt read any news or reddit posts. but it did FORCE ME to update the devices firmware just for me to check my coin accounts. thats already a deal breaker for me. if "laws" change and i "need" to update the firmware just to see my coins... its so far from a 'cold wallet' i dont even know what to call it. id rather have a piece of paper.

All LUNA 2.0 does is stop from retail putting into credible projects. Unfortunately, this won't happen until the regulatory bodies FORCE people to do it. Then they will whine that they can't get voluntarily raped anymore. This is a sad existence we live in.

Actually, that's not correct. Tether is 1:1 peg, if you give them $250K in Greenbacks, they will give you just a bit short of 250KUSDT... due to a small fee that you mentioned and few other things that they require. You can go straight to Tether and redeem your money to USD, no problems 1:1 ... it takes a bit of time but it is price of business. You can't take out more than $20K from a bank in an instant either. If you go to an exchange, you might take a bit more of a loss but you'll get it instantly. It's called price of being a demanding prick. Tether is backed by bonds, commercial paper (aka corporate bonds), Greenback ($$$$), and other cash equivalents. Why does that matter? Because Tether has to keep money in bank accounts, and they can't just have BILLIONS in cash laying around. So banks FORCE them to take other cash equivalents to prevent the BANK from being LIABLE for all of the holdings. It is all a game of a fucking legal hot potato in case something goes wrong... but the odds of something going wrong are miniscule and if USDT goes down, the fucking $$$ is long gone. So it doesn't fucking matter anyways.

Blockchain technology would be awesome if it served both a decentralized system as well as helped regulate governments and streamlined their own functions. It could equal less taxes, less corruption, and greater accountability with how they spend our money. It could also help keep inflation in check and, dare I say, \*FORCE\* a balanced budget. Voting systems would be awesome as well. Blockchain can be great for all purposes, it just needs to be coded for that specific functionality.

MW says that a Tour de Force is "The meaning of TOUR DE FORCE is a feat or display of strength, skill, or ingenuity." And brave search says in response to "techno definition": 'Technical technological. Example: Techno cracy.' So he means its a technical display of strength skill or ingenuity.

"shortsighted" and "unsustainable" . You seem to have access to information that we don't have. Are you really sure they didn't do their calculations and projections about this? I have a bit of faith that the people in the know could have some more info than you about the mere financial sustainability of this move.... That was ALREADY IN FORCE for a lot of time. Now it's just getting a smart contract to do it automatically. A good way to advertise the green aspect of Algorand, but not a new thing.

That is what is happening when we buy crypto. we are effectively BURNING the US dollar, but smaller, simple minds.. don’t get it. So instead.. tether gets it. and then.. the us government THINKS that it can FORCE a stable coin to hold a bunch of useless USD. WHAT FOR? To support the USA’s bogus economy? Do people really not understand what is going on? tether should take all of that USD and buy up property with it and tell the banks to keep the cash. Lol

GO AFTER THE BANKS LOANING MONEY. FORCE A HIGH INTEREST RATE ON BILLIONAIRES INSTEAD OF TAXING UNREALIZED GAINS. Force the Billionaires to sell, that way they'll need to reinvest it, tax the swing of stock sale to immediate/equivalent different stock repurchase. Lock them into their investments instead of living low interest loan to low interest loan. Incentivize them to carry risk, donate to PUBLIC projects and employ Americans.

Money means more opportunity for voluntary interactions. Bill Gates can't FORCE you to do anything with his billions of dollars. He can't that is, unless he buys a bureaucrat who passes a law or otherwise sics the police or military on you. This fundamentals of the difference between free market and government. And yes, it has been suggested in the thread, particularly [from GaudExMachina](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/th0k8n/time_interview_ethereums_vitalik_says_crypto_is/i17lkf9/?context=3) who I also was talking to, that Bitcoin and crypto are supposed to fix inequality: *"There are better and evolving options now. The idea was great, but it has gotten turned into just another financial instrument of a handful to have all the money."* And of course you yourself are repeatedly complaining about the same thing on a Bitcoin board. Inequality has nothing to do with Bitcoin or its purpose. You also seemed to deliberately talk around the actual key point, which is that the problem you brought up, of opportunity being denied to people, happens on a massive scale only through governments, and I listed specific examples for you.

Centralized exchanges should freeze ALL Russians out. The ppl of Ukraine do not have a choice. Take the choices away from the ppl of Russia too. FORCE them to solve their own dictator problems, so the rest of the FUCKING world can move on whiteout his bull shit. It would never happen though, because Russians are cowards, they would choose to starve over rising up to their tyrant.

The way I look at it...its kind of the only chance. We are at the point in history where we have to choose. We have the technology to usher in decentralization and have very good economies where people are valued and treated fairly and have power over their lives. Two futures are ahead of us. One future we see decentralization take root and we experience peace and prosperity from the highest to lowest members of society. The other future is bleak. In that future crypto gets stomped out by CBDCs and central banks hold on to their power with governments helping to outlaw and persecute freedom lovers who use BTC. In that future we devolve in to a dystopian world where governments control every aspect of life and surveillance invades your most private aspects of life. If we dont FORCE the change and stand up for this BTC revolution we will have lost and may never see freedom again, or if we do it will be hundreds of years from now and that generation will face extreme sacrifice to get it back.

> I think it would be smart to actually study these things before commenting something so silly. You can't CONTROL sovereign nations, they are going to do what they want to. When they start passing electrons around, you can't block that. When they want to use encryption to keep their messages secret, you can't stop that - that seems to be built into the Universe. When they use hash functions to get digital thumbprints on data - you can't stop that, that's part of how math works. When they use Merkle trees - math, not stoppable Ring signatures, Databases, Linked Lists, do I have to go on?? You're not going to stop sovereign countries from using computers, mathematics, and ideas. Fucking sorry you are so delusional If you want to stop sovereign nations - you have to use FORCE
