Honestly. I my view what the best practice is to always separate private and business accounting. What you did, namely opening a private account, your mom opening one as well and then opening another account, "business"-stuff where the both of you are involved and connected (even if it was just the same IP addresses the accounts where opened with) let ring their AML-bells, I guess. In the first place with you being so crazy as to move such sums around without the slightest glimpse of careful behavior. All of that lets you (both, your mom, you and your family business) look suspicious. What SWAN did was for their own safety since they themselves at no circumstances want to have something to do with even just *potentially* shady business. I am quite sure you get your money back once these 60 days will have passed. On the other hand I'd still try to clear things up manually and personally so that they maybe reverse their decision. Go on and attempt to contact them directly. Good luck.

I DCA'd $2k a day in SWAN over the past 6 days, so $12k total. It wasn't flagged until today and now they say my account is closed and my funds locked for 60 days. Swan does not allow you to withdraw funds until 6 days after purchasing BTC so there was no way for me to withdraw anything before then.
Please, do NOT trust Swan Bitcoin with your money. My money is locked up in SWAN for the next 60 days because they think "it poses a higher level of risk than we are comfortable with." My mom's account is going through the same issue...after wiring $50,000 into Swan Bitcoin no less. This is not a company you should trust with your money. Only reason why I decided to use their service was because of other reddit posts praising this company - well this is the ugly side of Swan Bitcoin and the risk you would take for onboarding with this company.
Nononono! Do NOT use SWAN Bitcoin. They closed my account after DCA'ing for 6 days and now my funds are "locked" in their account for 60 days. I had made the mistake of being on Celsius - and buying shitcoins - but got off of Celsius just a few weeks before that started. Every SAT I have goes in a wallet the second I can withdraw. Coinbase is where I started, but I’m using SWAN for DCA, and Gemini for occassional ‘extra’ buys on dips.
It's not. 3AC/Tera/Voyager/Celcius. You can't have that many Black Swans in a year. It's a BLACK SWAN EVENT not a White Swan sighting. At this point it's a normal week for Crypto.

Unfortunately auto DCA never comes with low fees. The lowest I’ve encountered so far is SWAN with 0,99%. I just manually buy BTC through FTX EU because i can get much lower fees that way, like 0,01%.
I started with Coinbase but I no longer buy bitcoin from them, I only use them for their debit card that rewards me in “crypto” (which I immediately dump for bitcoin) I never had issues with them other than occasionally their servers would be down from time to time. I take a portion of my pay in bitcoin via CASH APP and DCA via SWAN.

That’s not too bad. You can recover from a 40% loss. I don’t think we’ve seen the worst for UST. As news spreads the liquidity pools will dry and exchanges will halt trading/no counterparty bids. This is truly a BLACK SWAN EVENT. Smh.

Imagine when hodling for a long time, coulda sells many time at a new ultimate ath, coulda bought really low and having much more sats but you wait 20 yr. On the day of the 20th anniversary BLACK SWAN followed with huge panic sells volume and the price of btc plunging under the price you had paid for 20 yrs ago. 🤯🤯🤯
Delete all the buying apps from your phone (make sure to keep your passwords and authentication though). DCA automatically on SWAN. Drinker higher end and drink less. If it is beer, tell you local to start stocking Miller64. It tastes great and is only 2.x%. Plus it is chill filtered to remove all that nasty yeast (which helps cause gout).
Why would anyone use SWAN Coin? My coworker is getting into crypto, or really only Bitcoin and was telling me about Swan Coin. They charge him a 1%fee and don't give you access to your keys for 10 days or so. What's the upside of this service vs paying 0.5% on Coinbase pro, or other exchanges?
