Step 1: You hear that Gold should be where you put your money Step 2: You prepare a large purchase order because you think you’re being smart Step 3: JUST before you hit the “buy” button you stop and realize that, historically, you have sucked at this. Step 4: instead of buying, you decided to buy SGOV, and spend the next 2 weeks researching what should be or could be the next best place for money exiting gold to go, or even the NEXT NEXT place. Step 5: Pust most of your money in an index fund, and keep 20% - 30% to out towards where you think the gold money will go next, get in early, with a tight stop loss, and play the waiting game. Or Just say fuck it because you don’t want to put the work in to actually learn what you’re doing and do the research and just index invest.
