How come nobody is buying calls or puts on BITX? 2x Bitcoin futures strategy?

I just bought a shitload of BITX and MSTY on margin. That sweet, sweet 385% annual dividend is totally gonna pay out, right?
What is the difference between buying MSTR and BITX (2x bitcoin), which should I buy if I expect a rebound
Bored, might buy some BITX to bond with some friends
Glad I got out of my BITX position last week.
If u buy BITX you’ll have lower drawdown and greater return. I would never buy BITX but that’s how dumb mstr people are
Im in the UK and the UK is not bitcoin friendly at all. They restrict how much bitcoin you can buy and they tax you if you sell, I know that 2nd part is normal for stocks too, however one thing good about the UK is we can have a stocks and shares ISA which you can put up to 20k a year into and any gains are tax free, so I use this for my investments. And due to the UK being anti bitcoin, I cant buy things like IBIT/BITX. But, I can buy a publicly traded company that is well established and is listed on the nasdaq, even if that company is essentially for bitcoin exposure, don't think anyone is buying MSTR for their tech company. So essentially, its my best way being in the UK to get near enough direct bitcoin exposure.
Legit question: Why MSTR instead of like leveraged bitcoin? I’m not in tune with it but seems MSTR will essentially be even more volatile with the same or less upside (comparing MSTR and BITX.
Fuck it I’m trying BITX here
Bought BITX $40 March calls back in December when it settled around 29. Bought UAMY $10 and TMC $10 Jan 2027 calls when it started coming back to life around Christmas. Loaded up deep in SETM and XME. Riding this wave till Valhalla
Decide to jump in crypto for a short term swing. COIN BITX ETHU Which is better? Or any other recommendation?
MSTR, IBIT, BITX etc
Bought some BITX calls for April a week ago cause as fun as shorting and scalping has been I felt it silly not to toss some change at an upside run.
Yeah, thinking of picking up more BITX tomorrow
Why not BITX 50 call june 2026?
I put 50% of my Roth into BITX at the top. Ama
MSTR. Moves slow on upswings and moves fast on downswings. Bitcoin will hit a new all time high of 130k and I guarantee I’ll still be in the red. Shoulda just bought BITX or IBIT for BTC exposure.
BITX is 2x leveraged ETF and has a solid dividend yield. MSTR doesn't have the yield
I would still trust a ETF over MSTR. If you truly want to play leverage on btc, just go for BITX 2x bitcoin
SOXL, BITX, URAA. Full send no looking back for 5 weeks. Two weeks in. I’m a sick fuck I like a good fuck.
Bought $3k worth of BITX today at open. Can’t go tits up.
Neither I bought SOLT and BITX
Nah. I bought calls on BITX yesterday expiring june 2026.
Maybe my BITX calls are saved 🙃🫠
0dte calls on spy and then rolling profits into BITX call leaps
Me! I gots 20k shares of UVIX and 10 calls for more. Just don’t ask me about my BITX 🤦🏼♀️ https://preview.redd.it/4czg4jbnti4g1.jpeg?width=266&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a5b90f03de6a820bd1e3149a40ff5ac40941fa4
Leveraged to the tits on BITX let’s rocket back to 100k where the king belongs
🌽 getting vaporized. My BITX in my Roth was so stupid man
My nips are hairy and my BITX is down bigly. Life is terrible
I keep buying the dip on BITX and it keeps dipping
Will TQQQ save me from my BITX today? Tune in to find out
BITX pumping my Roth (I’m down 25% all time)
The more 🌽 dips, the more BITX I buy
BITX is literally half of my Roth. Well, it was…now it’s like 1/3
Chat, how cooked is bitcoin…specifically 2x leveraged BITX?
In my 40s what should I do TSLR 20.66% RKLB 17.70% COST 14.97% BITX 14.90% WMT 13.38% V 13.15% PLUG 4.89%
My substantial holding of BITX in my Roth is treating me well today (I’ve suffered unimaginable loss)
BITX is not a good example. Yes its a 2X BTC ETF BUT, its pays a nice dividend monthly in excess of 15% so you need to add that back in so. BITX is indeed performing very nicely rleatively. i go into great detaill on total return on my youtube channel on incoem ETF;s and patreon. Many companies have apllied for 3X and 4X offerings. While one has to be careful with all of that leverage player for hsoter term a week month, etc they can be quite lucrative like in the current coomodity supercycle. If that is the case, you are left with SOXL and BITX.
My port 90% AMZU, BITX, and RDTL Reading this feels incredibly more degenerate than it felt when purchasing
corn dump, thanks god I didn't buy BITX calls yesterday
Think I’ll buy some BITX today
I have a few 2-3x leveraged things, FBL AMDL, BITX. I have BMNR Tho, wasn’t ballsy enough for BMNu
50% of my Roth is in BITX. We are not the same
BITX sucking the Rigid Candle of Clifford
Every generation has its hope. Easy to pull retail buyers into the dream. I was a guy who mined BTC back in 2012 and sold off a whole bunch after I 5xed my profit , looking back , I ain’t mad at all. Also I’ve jumped in and out of BITX options along the way and made my gains there. I should have a BTC Visa card that I can use a fucking Walmart by now. 🤷♂️
You say it's a viable strategy, but you don't seem to be so in favor of it. The other way I thought to get a bigger return on my investment, as IBIT, ETHA, or Solana goes up 50%, is to get a 2X ETF...BITX, ETHU, or SOLT. But they rebalance daily, so I don't know how much more I would get, even if I'm right and the underlying goes up 50% from here....maybe 90%, but maybe a lot less. I don't know. Given my 3 choices: 1. just hold the underlying; 2. buy long-term LEAPS at about 1/2 price, in order to control about double the amount of shares; 3. buy the 2X ETFs....which would you suggest? And do you think I can make a lot more percentage profit with either choice 2 or choice 3, than just choice 1...with the thesis being that the underlying will go up about 50% in the next few months? Thanks for taking the time to try to help me.
I think BITF will outperform BITX. Also I own a fuckton of BITU in my retirement accounts which have been very profitable for me. I did the comparison with BITX and I would’ve made significantly less because BITX has a crazy decay on it. Not even kidding compare the 2. Safest bitcoin play is FBTC because they barely charge anything, it follows bitcoin pretty closely.
I'm just gonna let BITX do the heavy lifting for me tonight
I used to prefer covered calls, but now I prefer CSPs. Mostly because I know about Technical analysis now and I learned better options strategies from: [https://www.youtube.com/@MarketMoves](https://www.youtube.com/@MarketMoves) (Matt) . I've been running a mostly PUT-selling strategy in one of my Schwab paper accounts and I'm up 40% since Late march (100k -> 140k). Matt's key to success is "The Perfect Put", which is selling a put that meets the criteria: * Up-trending Ticker * \~30 DTE * \~5% ROI (often Leveraged stock like GGLL, AMZU, TSLL, BITX ... will give these setups; but not all leveraged stock has good options support ) * Sell at/under support on a dip (you can setup GTC orders to fill when criteria is met) * Setup GTC order to buy back at 50% max profit. * If ITM, check vibes on stock to see if it's better to Roll, take assignment or buy back.
BITX is perfect for calls 🥳
There are websites specifically for this exact purpose. Barchart and optionistics come to mind. But remember high iv = high premiums. I have found some leveraged etfs can have enough liquidity and volume to generate 10-20% months. Typically use 14-30dte contracts which allows for flexibility for rolling. TSLL, SOXL, TQQQ, BITX, NUGT, NVDL, etc
IMO $5k is the minimum account size for successful Options trading. Selling \~30 DTE PUTs on leveraged stock \[SOXL, GGLL, AMZU, TSLL, BITX ...\], on down days, at support, 5% return on capital is kinda the sweet spot. Which is a strategy (among others) that I learned from my favorite options teacher: \[ [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvM\_u91zb3s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvM_u91zb3s) \]
I made the hilarious decision to go 50/50 in my Roth into TQQQ and BITX…and I’m up today
discovered a glitch - once btc goes below RSI (like <20-30) on 1 min chart I buy BITX calls and sell them 1-10 mins later for 5%-15% gains
I was in an options trading group earlier in the year that targeted a 5% - 10% monthly Account value increase. The strategy has been pretty good; it starts with selling \~30 DTE puts on Leveraged stock (like GGLL, AMZU, SOXL, TSLL, BITX ) at a level of support on the down days with a target of 5+% Yield. I'd recommend checking out this channel (and practicing in a Schwab Paper Account first): [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvM\_u91zb3s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvM_u91zb3s)
Some of these don’t make sense. Sell IBIT but buy BITX?
My Roth is literally just TQQQ and BITX
Perfectly doable running the wheel on leveraged etfs like SOXL or BITX, however speaking from experience, it works until it doesn't, then you're left bagholding for a while and making very little in premiums
MSTR is such a shit stock. I bought it thinking it was a like a double leveraged bitcoin stock. Still -10% despite bitcoin being up 13k since I bought. Should bought more IBIT or BITX 🤡🤦
BITX puts lookin real nice
Sold all of my ETHU yesterday to buy BITX, GGL, MSTU, and UNHG. Howamidoin?
I’ve been in this for months already and I actively participate in r/LETFs I’m very into the mathematics of LETFs and the “leveraged decay” is protective of downturns due to the resetting preventing you from going to zero unlike something like margin or an expiry date like options due to the exponential nature of the curve which has an asymptote at 0. It also works well with you during a bull market due to the reset of the leverage daily which causes immense exponential gains during a bull run which I’m trying to capitalize on during this cycle. For those benefits, I’ve made the decision that although the 2x leverage is beyond the efficient frontier due to the volatility of crypto, there is exceedingly positive expected value in this trade even when considering volatility decay since I’m extremely convicted of the bull run but will not dip into options for the play And that’s my thesis of why ETHU/BITX is a better hold personally than ETHA/IBIT for my swing trade goals. Total hold time should be about 5 months ending in October
I'm glad I full ported into BITX and EHTU
Smart move! This is my first time dabbling in them to be honest. I was eyeing them last year when I was holding MSTR and MSTU was going wild. I'm still happy with MSTR and holding the underlying asset makes it easy when things start coming down and crashing. I'm trying my hand at some BITX and ETHU more recently though, as I feel like a lot of the 'red days' are behind us with this crypto bull run and that the next few weeks/months could be very interesting. After BITX/ETHU, I might consider some ASTX or RDTL depending on what price both of those are at. I've never done options, so leveraged ETFs seem like a good middle ground for me.
BITX is one of them, which I hold. These are definitely for short term holding, so if you are trying to buy them just be sure to get out before this bull run is over. It's fine to hold BTC and ETH etfs during a bull market, but you don't want to be stuck holding a leveraged ETF.
I already did it last semester. I put it in $MSTR and $BITX
Have MSTR BITX AVGO NVO calls… maybe hooks and blows tomorrow?
Tech wasn’t around in the 70s. You’re changing the optics to justify your claims. Bottom line. I’m trading based on tomorrow. What support do you have to suggest tech won’t outperform broader market next 10-20 years? Diversification for me is by holding various companies within a sector or index vs several sectors. I’m not an investor and don’t subscribe to the assumption of spreading risk. Why I don’t do fix income although might swing trade FAS. Don’t hold gold. Don’t hold crypto yet might swing trade BITX. Don’t hold oil but might swing trade NRGU. Mostly swing trade SOXL and TQQQ. However, at some point fund liquidity might get too large to swing trade and I’ll start holding at which point QQQ SOXX and SMH my expected investments. No longer SPY or its lower cost copy VOO. Future is tech and there’s no rule that says one can’t exit an investment if market crashing then buy back in near assumed bottom. Tax implications often lock investors into loses because they fail to grasp capital gains diminish as cost basis drops therefore take advantage of volatility which tech and especially semiconductors have more than broader market. More than one way to play the market and why mine may not work for another but can’t find any argument to suggest the future is brighter by diversifying vs sticking to tech. Times have changed. Although AI brings me pause and we might see another bubble because no company to big to fall and NVDIA trades like a meme stock either similar talking points to why bitcoin will never crash. Latter I don’t touch with anything but a very short swing trade and even then I’d have to be convinced 100% it won’t suddenly revert. Why I think I’ve thought about trading BITX but now not sure I ever actually have and that’s just recently added. Older I get less I recall 😂
ETFs, right now, I'm in AMDL, BITX, LABU, MSTX, SMCX, SOXL, TNA. I sell both calls and puts.
Caught that BITX V over the weekend let’s go
🤷♂️ I have calks AAPL UNG BITX mat the best regard win 💋
looks like I’m DCA’ind BITX Monday
I tried it and CONL, but there were too many variables. Now I do BITX OTM -06-09 delta.
Bought BITX last Friday on a dip bought this Friday on the dip? See a pattern here? I do, paisley
It’s IBIT and ETHA ETFs I use leverage so BITX and ETHU for 2x
I agree! FYI, I have: ETHU 50% BITX 20% MSTR 20% DOGE 10% Good luck to me, and see you in 3 months :)
I wonder why people are downvoting me: https://www.reddit.com/r/stocks/s/BptA3gEyNM I honestly don’t have any other predictions. Right now, I’m basically all in on BITX, ETHU, and MSTR and hoping to make some nice gains in the next couple of months. After that I might consider holding mostly AMZN and NVDA and maybe playing some ETHD whenever ETH starts crashing.

Over 200% return over past 3months, with no option, only leveraged ETFs. Sold all my $AMDL, $MRAL, $SOXL, & $CONL… now shrinking exposure on $ETHU, $SOLT, & $BITX. I believe at current levels, a market correction is imminent, which can’t be tolerated in leveraged positions (because of the compound) so decided to take profits, and buy the dip later on. What do you think guys?
My sweet BITX sweet sweet little whore
Have 5k of BITX calls up $1300 at close Friday when BTC.X was 116,700. Could be a nice payday Monday
Bought BITX calls at the bottom this morning 💰
They're meant to 2x and 3x the daily return of the asset they track. They don't work as well in the long run due to leverage decay. For example, look at BITX. It's a 2x Bitcoin ETF, and it's only up 59% over the past year. IBIT is up 71% over the past year. The more volatile the underlying asset is, the more decay.
Currently trading in my M1 Finance account. Mainly ETH and BTC in ETF form. ETHU/ETHA for ETH, BITX/IBIT for BTC. You will want to ditch ETH for BTC for the long run as ETH is not expected to grow in value like BTC does. However ETH is an extremely useful proxy for altcoin exposure during “altcoin season” as well as having much higher volatility/return when BTC is going up.
Congrats! I'm basically all in on BITX/MSTR/FBTC at the moment, but want to take some BTC profits at some point and pick up some ETHU for short term gains. Haven't decided when I'll diversify, but I do think we'll see some nice ETH action.
fake internet money just keeps dipping, that's not fun, I have BITX call for Friday
Buy BITX during bid run ups
I trade BITX using short term volatile ( 2-4 days )cycles than long term.
