1.4 billion Chinese people to start with, then developing nations and former trade partners of the US. The US only accounts for 15 percent of China's export markets right now. The dollar has already lost close to 15 percent of its value. This isn't a trade war. It's more like a CFB playoff game that was over in the first quarter. People who think Trump is playing 4D chess are the people who can't figure out how to program a TV remote.
Apparently the market is still mad that FSU lost to Georgia Tech to open the CFB season last year. Pumping over a school shooting smh
Ok looking at other pictures of CFB trophy, it seems like the gold bit isn't attached to the base. It's just a stand for it. You can see players just holding up the top part after they won the game.
JD BROKE THE CFB TROPHY, BAD OMEN
So cop killer death penalty was the big announcement. Ifwu trump but you played me big dog. I coulda just kept playing CFB 25.
People really waiting in watch parties 1.5 hrs before he speaks. Mfs wilding. I’m playing CFB 25 vibing
I’m loaded with calls, they made fortunes from people betting against the chiefs all year. Plus CFB. Easy moonshot
Debating on selling my DKNG calls. up 180% on them. With how earnings have looked the past couple weeks, I feel like this too will somehow fall. These earnings won't have the Super Bowl, but they will have CFB, MMA, NBA and NFL. Don't sleep on the younger demographic getting into sports betting. I work with dozens of high schoolers and college kids and they ALL gamble. All you fuckers are also saying calls which can't be good.
I don’t trust any uni that didn’t even make It to the CFB playoffs
Bruhhh…you don’t remember Mooch? China trade war ending in farmer bailout? Twitter slap fights with Kim Jong-Un? Boof? Feeding the NCAA CFB champs McDonalds at the Whitehouse?
People have been saying this for years. Yet if you get a handful of peanuts on a regular basis, pretty soon you have a bag full of nuts that people are willing to pay for. Valuation in today's market doesn't have nearly as much weight as it did pre covid. People are willing to play premiums for stocks like PLTR. Of course these huge military contacts are nothing out of the ordinary, but they are growing immensely in the public sector. Most people hadn't heard of them several years ago and they just ran an ad during the Army-Navy game in one of the most watched CFB seasons in history. I don't see the bottom dropping below 60, and I don't think it will go below 70. I think it hits 100+ Q2 -Q3 of next year.
NASDAQ, S&P inclusion, QQQ inclusion Constantly winning contacts almost on a daily basis. Gonna be advertised in one of the biggest games of the year in CFB. Lots of writing on the wall
CFB Has better odds lowk
Do they not stop the clock on a first down in CFB to move the chains anymore?
Your DD has nothing about the development and overall budget for the game. However, I don’t hate the play but EA tends to run late in the year, and with the success of CFB coming back that should buoy some of the bad news from this game and have it crab rather than dump.
Thoughts on EA? Strong quarter with CFB and Madden?
The CFB VTech entrance is badass.
https://preview.redd.it/wdkk8la37evd1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58bf865b6cdaeced7bb5e0f961d5977bda3abd75 now fuck off and keep parlaying your next paycheck 10 dollars on your CFB games that no one watches
What's the sneaky good CFB play? Bored with no casino
NFL and CFB keep out of each other's lanes.
Take that last $700 and put it on a 10 game CFB parlay
Nah, this is the first that I can remember right off. I think last year there was a problem with Nexstar and DirecTV for a few weeks which made me lose ABC for a while, but I didn't lose all of the ESPN channels. I'm just grateful I'm not in an area that had ABC nuked as well because I actually have decent options for CFB while working around ABC on Saturday of next week and that I don't think this is going to take as long as Bally Sports did with XFinity (that was months). (this mostly isn't a financial deal for me)
DKNG for 3 day weekend trading withdrawal? CFB big weekend
I recognize your username from CFB! Go green!
Especially with CFB back? Even more loss porn to show
You were looking for more ways to lose money? CFB NFL and DKNG can help
EA will probably pop next earnings lol. Everyone playing CFB25.
EA calls. CFB 25 is dope as hell
Woah woah woah. $134 bundle was for CFB AND madden. No one bought that option because everyone will be on CFB. Its first release in 11 years it’ll be a cult classic regardless
No one’s really playing ultimate team. This game is for the the nostalgia which never had ultimate team. Yes, it’s another revenue stream but it’ll be way less than other ultimate teams(could change maybe this causes a massive increase in CFB viewership which means wanting to own certain players)
I feel like EA calls are the move next week with earnings and they just made a shit ton of money off the new CFB game and then they still have madden coming out
I wonder how much money EA made off CFB 25 already. Fucking everyone bought that thing
CFB25 has been so fun. I really hope they make the player switching more smooth though. Feels a bit pay to play rn on ultimate team but hopefully EA gets some better matchmaking in a patch. Thinking of getting EA calls for the hell of it, love the game
why is CFB down after beating earnings tf
why is CFB down after beating earnings tf
why is CFB down after beating earnings tf
This is just massively uninformed, you need some more sunlight in your life. Dunks and Jordans absolutely dominate on foot when out and about this isn’t even remotely arguable. Watch any basketball game men’s or women’s and more than half the on court kicks are specifically Kobes. 2010 Auburn is the only non Nike CFB national champion since 1991 Colorado. Kansas 08/22 and L’ville 13 are the only non Nike national champs in the past thirty years and colleges are steadily moving back from Adidas and UA into the Nike/Jordan fold. Michigan football was 46-42 in years 2-8 of their Adidas contract. Harbaugh’s very first offer of business when he arrived in Ann Arbor was to ditch three stripes and onboard Jordan. Their on field success instantly reflected that. Oregon was **nothing** before 20 years ago when Phil Knight made them the most exclusively sought after PEs on the market and their basketball and football teams have enjoyed 90% of their overall program success since.
I agree with all of this but we have to be missing something. When decisions made by people with a reliable track record looks stupid it looks that way _almost_ always because I’m missing information. Outlandish whatabout I don’t really believe - they’re gearing up for the expanded CFB playoff
This really does feel like a game thread for some rabid CFB rivalry, except it’s the same teams every day and they play different sports in Chicago
This feels like a CFB game thread of a PAC-12: After Dark game. We getting WEIRD with it today
Fuck ok EA you have me hyped for CFB 25 now
Very good idea especially if the college happens to have rabid CFB fans and a decent team because you can maybe make even more money with less wear and tear with Air BNB. I live in a college town and on game weekends you can't find a decent hotel room under 500 per night. The home next door to me is AirBNB and they are rented out 60-75% of the month With short term rental tenants you have much less wear and tear in general and you can maybe make more than long term leasing. I plan to convert my home to a vacation rental in the near future.
okay wait getting away from the meme stocks… yall think EA stock soars when the CFB game comes out?
I literally bought my house a few months ago. The trick: You need 2 people. Have a partner that makes enough money to split with you....tah-daaaah! You can now buy a house. You will, however, starve. Also, 67% of Canadians own their home. Here's a series of quick google searches. I'm not making this up: [Average American software developer salary] - US$130,286 per year (https://www.bing.com/search?pglt=41&q=average+software+developer+salary+usa&cvid=300bd6c3347046b48291666cd60e2f3c&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQABhA0gEINTU0NWowajGoAgCwAgA&FORM=ANNTA1&PC=U531) [Average Canadian software developer salary] - $80,725 (https://www.bing.com/search?q=average+software+developer+salary+canada&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&ghc=1&lq=0&pq=average+software+developer+salary+canada&sc=11-40&sk=&cvid=E6F213DB56FB4D14B307DCB53E3D4C09&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=) (not exactly double, but not far) [Average single-family home price - USA](https://www.bing.com/search?q=average+single+family+home+price+usa&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&ghc=1&lq=0&pq=average+single+family+home+price+usa&sc=0-36&sk=&cvid=BD2B3E0865E54B9FAA78E9E61E8CFB05&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=) - $417,700 [Average single-family home price - Canada](https://www.bing.com/search?q=average+single+family+home+price+canada&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&lq=0&pq=average+single+family+home+price+canada&sc=0-39&sk=&cvid=A0CB03CB333B4540978EC173DC9E968C&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=) - $804,400 We can go median household income if you would prefer that - the numbers are closer if you don't account for exchange rate: [Median household income - USA in USD](https://www.bing.com/search?q=average+household+income+usa&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&ghc=1&lq=0&pq=average+household+income+usa&sc=7-28&sk=&cvid=5EECE6F89CDF46378149DEC83F32CDA4&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=) - $87,864 [Median household income - Canada - in CAD](https://www.bing.com/search?q=average+household+income+canada&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&ghc=1&lq=0&pq=average+household+income+canada&sc=11-31&sk=&cvid=69AC71E98A894E1E8C0ACD5662B64DB0&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=) - $73,000 - converted to usd: $53,456.08 Houses literally cost us between 40-200% more in terms of purchasing power than they do in the USA, on average. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! We also have variable-rate mortages, which a lot of people are forced to take, because they're easier to qualify for. For those who are lucky enough to have a fixed mortgage, the maximum term duration of their interest rate is 5 years, with many being 2 or 3 years. That means that if rates were to increase significantly (as they have in the past 2 years - from 0% effectively, to ~7.25%), when renewal day comes for everyone who bought houses, your payment will go up **Very significantly**. This has been hitting shit tons of people. The vast majority are still in their homes. In addition, prices for everything in the USA are lower than they are in Canada, at a staggering rate, even currency-adjusted. Meaning we not only make less and pay more for houses, but we pay way more for everything in general. Our real-estate values surely would be decreasing, right? I mean come on, we're paying an average of 54% of our income on housing...surely, nobody is buying, right? [Prices are still increasing, indicating that indeed...people are still buying houses, even at astronomically higher cost to purchasing power than in the USA](https://www.bing.com/search?q=median+single+family+home+price+canada+per+year&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&lq=0&pq=median+single+family+home+price+canada+per+year&sc=0-47&sk=&cvid=0AD6139AEAA24F80B6B46B9FA31DE7D7&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&ghpl=) You think you know housing pain? You haven't seen anything. If we can do it, so can you. The ONE caveat - and it's pretty significant - is that we don't have to pay out-of-pocket for healthcare. If we did, our entire economy would have collapsed years ago.
As long as they do not mess with specific subs it will be fine. Many subs about more nuanced topics honestly do not want to be popular. As long as they do not try to push subs to increase their user count or increase engagement The best subs on reddit are not the subs with 10 million subscribers , they are the ones with 1=200k subscribers (or some much lower amount) The problem is all popular subs devolve into memes , click bait or rage bait headlines with out in-depth discussion . Their are a few good popular subs CFB does a good job with user engagement and stays very on topic of CFB and does not allow meme posts. Nothing wrong with meme post but if a sub allows memes it seems eventually 90% of the sub will just be memes. If you are looking for memes thats not an issue, if you want more in-depth discussion it not very good
Not many kids want to play NFL. Probably coz NFL and CFB gets more money definitely not popular worldwide. Yes i am from europe and nobody loves NFL here
Are you from outside the US? I don’t understand, this sounds like a soccer take, baseball only needs a broom handle and a tennis ball and is falling in popularity, NFL and CFB are at all time high of popularity…
Pretty sure it’s just $CFB bro
College football fans y’all really posting high school kids on your own social media when they commit to your team? I am a CFB fan but I am absolutely not doing that shit - unlike several of my friends 🥴🥴
Just like the NFL/CFB. Fuck the spirit of the game. Let's see how much money we can squeeze until they finally get fed up enough. And Music concert tickets. And Christmas for god sakes... Only since the 70s has loading kids up with toys actually been a thing. Death by consumerism and maximization of profits.
Holy shit dude when will they start putting events on television at a decent hour for regular humans to watch. I'm supposed to stay up until midnight last night for the ball drop then stay up for primetime CFB playoffs tonight when I have to work in the morning. Fuuuuck that.
If you team hop you can make big $ in CFB apparently
And I always see it during CFB games oddly enough. Stock ads on a gambler network
I remember it’s always sucked and it’s still kind of trash, 12 teams is gonna be too much and will probably be too many games. There’s not really a good way to do it which is why CFB is such an annoying sport
They really shouldn't have access to just 2 games per week. That's just... dumb. It's like 5% market share that people have to go out of their way to watch. CFB and sports are messed up right now because you never know where to actually watch your game. Could be on sling or on Hulu live tv or on Youtube TV or on Paramount + or on Amazon Prime. Sometimes, they're even on Peacock but they're NEVER on the ESPN streaming service. It's honestly significantly easier to pirate it somewhere vs having to play the "Where can I watch this" lottery every weekend.
I usually lay in bed the first hour the market is open. I stare at my portfolio nose diving that way the rest of my day cannot get any worse. I then end my day by firing off parlays on NFL,CFB, and the NBA, just so tomorrow cannot get worse than last night. It’s a foolproof plan.
The broadcasting crew for the early CFB games on fox is so bad bros this shit is unwatchable
ESPN has valuable content with sports rights, but the overhang is that cable is dying, the cost of sports keeps going up, and ESPN won’t get enough scale. Right now - ESPN reaches every linear household, and DIS generates $10 bn from the cable bundle alone. That’s 70m subscribers. ESPN makes $12 month from every cable package in the US. However, not that many people watch ESPN. MNF only gets 13m viewers on average, max total unique ESPN viewers is prob 20m. That’s 70% fewer than their existing cable subs. To make $10 bn on 20m subs, they’d have to charge $40/month. The other issue is sports is becoming more expensive. NBA rights will be 25-30% higher and CFB playoff at least 20%. That’s $1 bn/yr right there. In the end, it’s a decent quarter, but I’m not going head over heals for DIS. There’s gonna be major decisions made - still need to see what that is.
Eh. This print doesn’t change any one’s thesis. The bear thesis on Disney is ESPN. Sports rights keep going up, they’re gonna pay way more for the NBA and CFB playoff expansion and the $70 they make per sub in affiliate revenue will never be made up by a standalone ESPN service. The other stuff is all froth. One could argue that Parks growth has topped out due to inflation. DIS isn’t a cheap stock by any means, actually the most expensive media stock.
God bless the MAC for giving us Tuesday night CFB and the bets that come with it
Not pertaining to the Conflict of Interest situation + key executive departure, which are very interesting in themselves… I have something else that’s interesting to me. Two weeks ago, DK and FD were both VERY LOPSIDED on TWO separate parlay types in their apps - and they lost *BIG TIME*. One of them, was very public, and the press release/article certainly understates losses sustained by FD for the house made parlay… https://nypost.com/2023/09/18/fanduel-crushed-for-20-million-loss-on-house-made-parlay/ • Just on this FG parlay, there are hundreds of folks with $10k+ wins. (We have Discord groups, post wins etc) • There were more than 45k+ separate betters for the premade, betting at least the $1 min at 200:1. Notwithstanding the pool of large-size payouts (outliers), if the average of those 45k bets was $5… FD would be on the hook for $45M. But, their average premade parlay bet taken… Is claimed to be north of $12, as of this past March. The second bet, and likely a FAR GREATER LOSS for both FD and DK two weeks ago, was a manually constructed CFB prop-parlay, just 2 hours after taking the L, both apps disallowed parlaying the specific game prop going forward. Gangs of betters locked in and hit at +400000 (4000:1) Imagine this… DEGENS across the US took the bag from DK and FD so hard, app functionality was permanently changed within 2 hours, on a Saturday night. Complaints surfaced the following day and into Monday… Primarily these three 👇👇 • Both FD and DK Refusing to disburse payout requests • Max payout threshold being retroactively lowered • Betters being compelled to accept a negotiated disbursement schedule etc. The entire purpose of a betting line at a SPORTSBOOK, is to *BALANCE* the risk capital on both sides of any bet, with the house ultimately getting the spread. Unfortunately, both DK and FD seem to have gotten out of the bookmaking business, and instead, tried to get high on their own supply, taking uncovered risk against the market and losing big time. I wouldn’t be surprised if we learn that CFB week 7 was responsible for a permanent change in both FD’s and DK’s ongoing business operation/policy, internal process changes and likely a shakeup in staff. Public notice: I just wrote some Call credit spreads and bought some Put debit spreads at varying sizes and strikes. (I’m short DK)
15x earnings doesn’t mean anything. That is arbitrary, below 15 by itself tells you nothing about a valuation. But okay, how about CFB? I presume you have a knowledge advantage over me here. I have taken a quick look. Why do I want this? It’s basically a bonds right? A stock that goes nowhere because earnings are flat as a board. That in itself isn’t a bad thing, only if you pay too much. It throws off a dividend that rarely changes. Currently yielding less than 4%. So I’d be buying essentially a bond. Few reasons to expect material capital appreciation with a dividend yield that is beaten handily by cash or bonds. Why do I want this at this price? Why is this going to make more money than cash or bonds? Why wouldn’t I demand it yield at least as much as cash if I were to consider buying it?
Drinking some homemade beer watching CFB rn Not made in my home, it was made by a friend Actually pretty good 👍 🍺
Ohhh I do get college football streams. CFB duh
More than that..... Ever heard of CFB (Crazy F'ING B****)? :)
I don't want CFB so to get my mind off Futes doing absolutely nothing, explain to me the hype of Primetime and why everyone is coming out of the woodwork hating on the dude and his team?
First time eating at a Brazilian buffet restaurant. The one where servers keep coming with different cuts of meat. So that’s going on and I’m watching CFB off my phone, tracking my bets. Nice to feel rich for a few hours
This CFB slate sucks. Minus whale pour a warm glass of milk and turn on Matlock.
Disney is pumping new subs with their $3x3 month promo for new users. Coincidently introduced right when they removed ESPN from cable 1 day before CFB season🤯. Blackout wasnt going to long considering charter was losing customers + sending out refunds.
Sir, a second Deion win has hit CFB
CFB is fucking 🌈 and for regards but for real fuck Alabama
guys, i'm not kidding you. sports betting. it's basically 50/50 if you're betting on +/-110 money-lines. Those are better odds than any of this options bullshit will give you with this ridiculous market right now. I was hesitant and only tossed a couple hundred in for CFB last week, and I wish I threw in more. Doubled it in a single afternoon. Plus, it's just fun. Go get some drinks with the guys and cover the tab with your winnings.
Using Google Bard for my FanDuel CFB picks tonight. Wish me luck
CFB is small potatoes compared to the NFL. Nothing comes close to the NFL viewership
Blackout started when college football started, and espn has way more CFB games than NFL
Fuck a long weekend Thank god for CFB and my fantasy draft
This country (US) needs the NFL/CFB now more than ever
Go to say this on r/CFB and they will say you’re talking gibberish lol I’ve stated this is the last round on overvalued media deals. Only the NFL and NBA will carry this deals moving forward and will most likely move to mostly streaming by 2032.
Complain to the CFB and to your State regulatory body and demand a the for of 750$
Vegas in a couple weeks too, anyone gonna be out there first weekend of CFB? Let’s goonnn I’ll bring the coke and hookers
This the same guy that has terrible CFB takes 😂
Now is likely a great time to buy banks and I have done so. There are numerous regional banks who have gotten crushed but have very strong balance sheets and a lot of significant insider buying, which tells you everything. WAL and ZION are two such examples. So are CMA and CFB. You can buy these companies for like half of book value and maybe 2-4 times earnings and often with a 7-9% dividend. It’s a great time to buy if you don’t care what happens next week or next month. Just look to the banks with insider buying to know which ones are strong.
r/CFB and r/NFL are actually just 20,000 people and their alts
I used to do an NFL/CFB gambling thing were you could pick the winner of 8 games out of 22 and if you got them all right, you'd win the pot (split with other winners). I went hard into the analytics and averaged about two wins a year and when I did win about 20% of people did so I won fuckall. My brother went by gut and narrative and has been top 10 every year. It's bullshit and I'm a sore loser who took my spreadsheets and went home. Long story longer: It sucks to do research and feel good about your thesis just to be screwed over by bad data.
It's best described as a value trap at the moment, uninvestible by most institutional fund managers, but subject to some really interesting litigation that's reached SCOTUS and the 5th Circuit courts a few times. If you don't know anything about stockholder lawsuits it is *highly* unusual for plaintiffs to take their case as far as they have without expectation of a payout or remedy. Basically there's some serious evidence that suggests these companies were not at all at fault for the '08 crisis as the public has been led to believe. The legal/accounting/financial engineering that went into "saving" them was not at all what it seemed, and subsequent action by the Treasury through the 2010s to take effectively all their profits will either be : 1) recognized as a Takings claim with a payout at book value per share plus damages ($118+dmg) 2) reversed and released by a constitutional remedy claim on the basis that the FHFA and CFB are not rightfully appropriated agencies and thus rendered void ab inito (book+mkt value, other GSEs trade at 10p/e). The congressionally-chartered corporation survives, relists from the OTC as an IPO. 3) embedded or restructured into a new corporation (commons to 0-8 depending on the steps taken, preferreds get par or converted into newco). 4) or... they won't. The stocks float around like a zombie. Or down the line their charters are revoked and the companies liquidated and poof goes the 30yr fixed rate mortgage. Anything is possible in finance. I don't know about you but I'm having a hard time seeing much value out there in the moment, so I have a few picks (VCIF, ATVI) but this is my largest position. I'd guess it gets resolved in 2025 at the latest or not at all due to statute of limitations.
Cool, thanks for the response. I'm an algo trader so my trading is all done via API so I'll do some research on E-Trade. I've got a new system trading SPX 0 dte and it's doing well but commissions are killing me, so I'm looking at all venues. I peeked at your history and it looks like you're in Raleigh, love that town and have in laws there. Wife and I are looking for somewhere to settle down and might consider it except for the damn housing prices. Also see you're on CFB haha. My undergrad was FSU and master's at UGA so I was pleased this year.
Ofc I have multiple bets on all the big games today, yuge day of CFB today
I really can't fuck with CFB the refs and quality of play are just dog shit in comparison.
I don't know ow what kind of.food you like but hers some suggestions. https://www.thrillist.com/eat/atlanta/atlanta-food-bucket-list https://spoonuniversity.com/place/atlanta-foods-best-to-try I've been the the Vortex and Bones and they are good. If the weather isn't shit go walk around Stone Mountain. Good hikes, views. College football hall of fame is cool if you like CFB Don't stay out late in undesirable areas and if you get an iffy feeling, leave. Crime sucks there.

Fundamental analysis looks to see whether an investment is overvalued or undervalued based on underlying economic conditions, as well as the finances of the company or other organization that issued a stock or bond. Technical analysis instead looks at patterns in the price of an investment to predict future movements in that investment’s price.\*I look for tickers that are trading at least 2 million in volume a day, with a Market-cap of no less that 500 million.\*\*The shares traded are compared to the average volume to determine how much of the float is used ( Or shares traded). That information is compiled with data on how profitable the company is and how much cash do they have compared to what is expected.\*\*\*Things to consider when finding the plays-\*\*If the stock volume has traded 1 million or more in volume premarket, I will use that and calculate a rough estimate on what the stock will trade for the day.If the ticker looks to be trading more volume than the day before, I would consider it for a long play.
