**The Fearless Forecast** for the DJIA for Dec 5, 2025 (SU = Small Up; LU = Large Up; SD = Small Down; LD = Large Down) : Tomorrow’s Fearless Forecast (Dec 5, 2025) * **Bucket:** Mixed sequence with 3 Ups in last 5. * **Probabilities:** SU ≈ 38%, LU ≈ 18%, SD ≈ 24%, LD ≈ 20%. * **Expected return:** ≈ +0.12%. * **Projected close:** \~47,910–47,950. * **Directional bias:** \~56% chance of an Up day. The Fearless Forecast expects to be directionally correct on about 70% of its forecasts. It is based on statistics, not technical mumbo-jumbo. It uses the closing prices of the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the past 60 trading days as its data-set. Each day, the latest close is added, and the earliest dated close is dropped. Check back tomorrow for the next Fearless Forecast.

5y return is 178,8% in USD with LU0411078552. Your max drawdown would be 50%, since you went from +100% to 0% in 2022, am i right? Max drawdown for the 2x leveraged S&P was 38%. So your diversification isnt really working. You are risking more for worse results.

Hello, Im looking for some opinions on my 6 years UK Junior SIPP and Junior ISA. They both have about 9k in them. As parents we have no debt apart from a mortgage at 2.2% for 4 more years. With the time frames involved i have a fairly high tolerence for risk. I see the JISA as being for a bit of fun stuff and then a house deposit probably not tuition fees unless the terms become much worse. Plus my own Lifetime ISA should have about £120k in by that point if needed. I'd welcome views on whether what i am doing seems sensible overall - and then thoughts on the actual funds spread which started a bit random but i have been trying to stream line. Going forward I plan to put at least 1200/ year (all the child benefit) into the JISA \- maybe another 500-1000 added in a good year. \- currently into a pretty high risk JPMORGAN Fund just changed from Nutmeg I- considering whether to move it to self investment platform but would welcome thoughts about funds - I have 9000 in the J SIPP through Fidelity - slightly random share allocation, i got a bit carried away like in a pick and mix shop, though i have tried to streamline it and consider market sperad. I am also aware that i am a bit concentrated on USA through Legal and general Global tracker and VUAG - should i pick one with all the worries about the AI bubble. I am planning to try and reach the 2880 limit each year in this account so he doesn't end up getting access to a big chunk of money as a student if i put everything into the JISA i know he could technically cash in his pension before time but it feels more locked away than the JISA. If you want to stay strictly in the EU something like the iShares Core EURO STOXX 50 UCITS ETF (IE00B53L3W79) is probably your best bet. Personally, I also like the STOXX Europe 600 (LU0328475792) because you get 200 Large-, 200 Mid-, and 200 Smallcaps in one basket. However, there you'll have a sizeable chunk of UK and Swiss companies in the mix as well. So, if you want to stay strictly EU it is either the STOXX 50 or you're willing to look into newer and significantly smaller ETFs like WisdomTree Eurozone Quality Dividend Growth UCITS ETF (IE00BZ56TQ67). The crux with the STOXX 50 is, it isn't a index for the largest companies of the European Union, but the largest companies of the Eurozone. Also, because it only tracks the biggest 50 companies there usually are only companies from 7-10 different countries represented at any given time (France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Spain + some Nordic and Belgian stocks that shuffle in and out of the index depending on market cap).

3.5% is not great for USD. SGOV is around 4.3%. There are European equivalent short-term bond funds. https://www.vanguard.co.uk/professional/product/etf/bond/9933/us-treasury-0-1-year-bond-ucits-etf-usd-accumulating eToro charge 1.5%. 1.5% each way does come off your return. You'd also have tax on the interest paid. It's not just the fees converting, you'd also have currency risk. If you had done this at the start of the year, you'd have made around 2% so far this year, but you'd be down -11.5% in EUR terms as the dollar has collapsed. If you are looking at European UCITS bond funds, and you want security of capital, there are EUR hedged bond funds, like [Amundi US Treasury Bond 0-1Y UCITS ETF EUR Hedged Acc](https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?isin=LU2182388749). These should preserve your EUR capital and you get the return hedged. There's a cost to this but buying fixed income in a currency other than your own probably doesn't make a lot of sense as you are taking significant risk on the exchange rate, and you buy these things because you want no risk.

Invest 3333€ each month for the next 3 months. This way you are more safe against big movements. I once put 10k into an ETF and it tanked a month later, if I had split the sum, it wouldn’t have been that bad. Also just put it into an EuroStoxx50 or 600 ETF with the lowest TER. \[Advice Request\] Investing strategy help — 35M in Spain looking to invest 100k for long-term growth Hi all! I’d love to get your feedback on my situation and the portfolio I’m considering. I'm looking for advice, critiques, or improvements you’d make. Age: 35 Country: Spain Employment: Yes, salaried Net income: €110,000/year Savings available: €160,000 I plan to keep €60,000 in cash in a high-yield savings account for peace of mind and short-term needs That leaves €100,000 to invest 🧭 Objectives Primary goal: Long-term investment and wealth growth I don’t plan to touch the money for at least 5 years, possibly more In \~5 years, I may use part of the capital (not necessarily all) for a downpayment on a house ⚖️ Risk Tolerance High — I’m okay with market volatility and short-term drops Previously followed the Bogleheads philosophy when I was in the U.S. Now that I’ve moved to Europe, I cashed out and am starting fresh from Spain 📈 Proposed Portfolio Here’s how I’m considering allocating the €100,000 I plan to invest: Allocation ISIN Description 35% IE00BYX5NX33 Fidelity MSCI World Index EUR Acc (Global Developed Markets) 40% IE0008248795 Vanguard Eurozone Stock Index EUR Acc (Eurozone Large/Mid Caps) 25% LU0524465548 Alken Small Cap Europe A (Actively Managed Small Cap Europe) 💸 Current Holdings / Debts No current investments No big debts (no mortgage or loans) Fixed monthly spending: \~€5,000/month (includes rent, etc.) Emergency fund: Covered with the €60k in cash 🤔 What I’d Love Help With Does this portfolio make sense for my goals and risk tolerance? Is it too aggressive, too concentrated, or too heavy in Europe? Should I consider adding bonds or other asset classes? Is there a more efficient or diversified way to structure this? Any issues with taxes or fund selection from a Spanish-resident perspective? Happy to provide more context if needed. Thanks in advance for any feedback you can give!

The market is going to crash (or is starting to). 2023 and 2024 had huge gains. The market got ahead of itself, and that is typically followed by declines. The current S and P average P/E ratio is about 29. Historically, it averages about 20. So, independent of all the new headwinds, it is 50 % overvalued. The P/E ratios of the Nasdaq, the Nasdaq 100, and the Russell 2000 are all similarly overly high. Tariffs will tank the economy. They will make imports more expensive, increasing inflation, and they will cause retaliatory tariffs, reducing US exports. Federal layoffs crippling many agencies and cancelling contracts will drive up unemployment. Angering the rest of the world will drive foreigners away from visiting, from investing in the US, from buying US products, and from using the US dollar. Inflation has already risen above 3 % and likely will go higher, preventing the Fed from lowering rates and instead perhaps eventually raising them. Withdrawing from the WHO and cuts to Medicaid and VA care and public health institutions including the CDC and HHS will cause disease outbreaks which keep workers home and strain the budgets of the sick and dying. Mass deportations will drive up food prices, wages, and other costs, fueling inflation. Will essential low-wage positions go unfilled, harming farming, meat packing, restaurants, and the construction industries? A reversal of renewable energy policies will cripple a sector of the economy that was developing and that was starting to save money for consumers. Defunding scientific research and higher education will surrender our role in scientific and innovation and new product leadership which has driven our stock market and economy ever since WW2, and eliminate many high-paying jobs in the sciences. The coming Depression will likely be severe. https://flip.it/hXWj3_ https://www.bankofcanada.ca/publications/mpr/mpr-2025-01-29/in-focus-1/#:~:text=US%20tariffs%20increase%20the%20prices,away%20from%20US%20exports.2 https://flip.it/f2G0vI Concentration Camps are not just cruel. I'll agree that dollar cost averaging into broad based index funds over decades is a proven successful investment strategy. Part of why it works is that you're not exposed to single stock risk. It's not only meme stocks that go down and never come back. Here are just a few examples of stocks everyone used to think would never be a long term bad investment, but they were: LEH, WAMU, AIG, C, NOK, BB, GE, SHLDQ, JCPNQ, BLIAQ, LU, JAVA, PALM, GRPN, YHOO, CHK, PCG... the list goes on and on. If you were unlucky enough to average down on any of those stocks you would have lost most or all of your money. There's a reason professional traders do not average down and only add to positions when they go up in price and setup again. Can you get away with averaging down? Of course. But it's a fools game and you will eventually lose. Why risk it?

I'll try to answer your question about a safe investment since I was in your case a few years ago. I want to tell you that I'm not from England, I'm from France, some differences on taxes and investment options might be slightly different from you. I'll keep this generic as possible while offering multiple options. 1. Broker: You'll need a broker from whom you'll inject cash, pick stocks, values and indices. In short, invest. In France banks are usually not cheap on investment plans and cannot or rarely compete with "new" brokers like those on Apps. Personally, I went first with a bank and then seeing the price on operations, I preferred to turn to an app, Trade Republic. They are well implemented with a solid reputation and with very low prices. Only drawback, I need to declare it yearly in my taxes because the bank account is localized in Germany, so foreign bank account and I have all papers for it, signed by administration. But considering their low prices it is worth. 2. Diversity: Yeah diversity offers you more stability and less volatility through time. This is very important if you want stable revenues over time and limit risks. My advice here would be to pick ETF with many, many stocks inside. European ETF are populated by many companies, there is one or two with 600 companies. It means that if a company falls, you'll barely feel the impact on your portefolio. 3. Bonds, preferably government ones: Governments need cash in quantities and they emit bonds for citizens like you and I to buy. So you lend them a sum of money for a defined period of time. It cans be a year, 3 months or 50 years. Bond interests are calculated by government rating, one with a bad reputation will have higher interests and most reputable ones will have a low interest. By reputation I mean if they pay in time and in full their interests. If not their mark will degrade. IIRR, France interest is around 2.50-3%, so they are good and pay in time. Let's say if you find a 10% bond, consider another country to put your money in, they won't pay you in time. Now if you mix points 1 & 2 you get Bonds ETF, so basically a managed fund, composed of bonds, that will pay you over time with a small percentage, around 2 or 4%. 4. Risks: Because there is no investment without risks. You have various risks associated but main ones are risk of loss of capital, risk of change (it means that if the currency the fund is based on fall, you'll fall with it when you'll want to get your money out of it. If you buy in GBP and the fund if is USD. If balance is positive for you, you win more on change but if it is negative you'll lose money). If you look for an ETF, here is STOXX 600 EUR, [https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?isin=LU0908500753#overview](https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?isin=LU0908500753#overview) Basically 600 of biggest companies around European Union, big fund with a volatility of 10% per year. If you prefer bonds and don't want to manage those, you can look at this ETF [https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?isin=LU2641054122](https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?isin=LU2641054122) those are government bonds with a slow pace of 2% per year but it is vary stable.

For next Monday. I would like to share the following with you. In 2023 I experienced a nice spike with BenevolentAI (LU2355630455), this was in mid-December 2023. From € 0.50 to € 1.67 in 1 week. To a lesser extent again in early July and mid-August. Now, after months of being stable at ±€ 0.80, BenevolentAI has fallen to a depth of € 0.13 in a month. There are great opportunities here if we all buy a nice crop next week. Join us!! This is not advice but a statement of fact. Please share. Thank you all and good luck.

LU Lufax i were aware of from before, but someone in this subreddit pointed out that there would be that big dividend. the things that made this trade for me were; waiting after ex-div for the stock to go back to around $2.4 before selling. it had dropped to around $2 on 'ex-div day', so selling right then would have been bad. with more patience, a person could have ridden the stock back up to around $3... anyway, the next thing that made this trade, was in holding shares at pay date. i had since re-taken a position, and they reinvested at $2.27 when the actual share price was around 2.75... so it was kind of lucky, and not genius mega-mind trading... next one to look at might be DOYU [https://finance.yahoo.com/news/douyu-international-holdings-limited-announces-080000345.html](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/douyu-international-holdings-limited-announces-080000345.html) but i'm looking for $14-$15 buy-in as $17+ seems high... for whatever it's worth, there doesn't seem to be any 'good feeling' from DOYU like there was with WB, MOMO, SY, LU, NOAH, CAAS... but even with a slightly bad feeling, maybe DOYU would be decent at $14... speaking of which, SY might be a buy at these levels... ymmv be that as it may, my trading record is not great, and LU was one of the wins...

Hello, I am 24 years old and from Spain. I earn 2,000€ per month and can save approximately 500-700€. I have an emergency savings fund of 5,500€ at LU1089088741 in my bank. After establishing my emergency savings, I began investing in two ETFs: 1. IE00B441G979 (MSCI World EUR Hedged) with 250€ per month. 2. IE000M7V94E1 with 150€ per month. Additionally, I invest 100€ in SMR stocks, as I am interested in this market and believe in its future potential. Is my portfolio too diversified? Should I consider purchasing ETFs every two months instead of every month to avoid the monthly buy commission, given that my investment amounts are relatively small? I plan to hold all these investments for at least 5 years. Thank you for your advice.

LU has adjusted options because they issued a special dividend: [https://infomemo.theocc.com/infomemos?number=54664](https://infomemo.theocc.com/infomemos?number=54665) You have an adjusted option. The multiplier is still 100 and the strike 3, but the deliverable is not 100 shares of LU. It is 100 shares of LU plus $242 cash. If one were to exercise one of these 3 strike puts, one would receive $300, but what one would have to give up is not 100 shares of LU. It is 100 shares of LU plus $242 cash. With LU at 2.42, 100 shares of LU plus $242 cash is worth (2.42 x 100) + 242 = $484. Therefore you would be giving up $484 of value, and receiving only $300 in return. Therefore your puts are out of the money. This is common with adjusted options: liquidity dries up, and the OTM strikes will have no bid. There is no solution other than to be aware of upcoming adjustments and close your position before the adjustment takes place.

I initially wanted to go with the swrd etf instead of lcuw, but it does not offer recurring investments in EUR in IBKR, and I don't want to be bothered with different currencies. I don't plan to invest a lot of time in my stocks, except maybe a yearly rebalance. 2. Due to the tax benefits, I see many people prioritizine Ireland based ETFs over Luxembourg ones. However, I am a Luxembourg citizen, so are there any additional benefits for me for investing in LU based stocks? 3. For the EDM2 ETF it shows Not Shortable, SLB Availability: 0. Is that something to be concerned about, or what exactly could this tell me about this ETF and any additional risks associated with it? Also the price is very low with +-5€, but apparently thats completely irrelevant? Happy for any answers:)

I'd agree. You're starting very early, and compound interest is your best friend. If you cannot invest in ETFs try to find a fund that is as close to the S&P 500 or the MSCI World and decide if you just want to focus on the US or diversify a bit more to have exposure to all industrialized countries (e.g. EU, UK, Canada, Japan etc.). If you have identified a fund that fits the purpose, just keep investing, and you'll be way ahead in terms of financial freedom of most people your age. If you want a bit more tech in your portfolio, I like the Fidelity Global Technology Fund (LU0099574567). It is the only actively managed fund I hold myself, other than that I only hold ETFs and single stocks. It is a global alternative to the NASDAQ 100 and has only 60% US allocation and still managed to beat the NASDAQ over the last 10 years. It is also less "top heavy" meaning its Top 10 holdings only make up \~33% of the fund, while the NASDAQ's Top 10 make up \~45% of the index. However, this should not be your main investment, just an option if you want a bit more tech exposure. With 1.88% TER it is also comparatively cheap among actively managed funds that are available in Europe. Though, it obviously cannot compete with ETFs who are always significantly cheaper. Just keep doing what you're doing, keep steady, and you'll be fine.

# McDonald's Announces 10% Menu Price Hike This Year As Customers Continue To Call For A Boycott: 'They're Greedy' Customers have been calling out McDonald’s for their increased menu prices for months now, maybe even years, yet the fast food chain shows no signs of lowering prices—or even keeping them the same. In a recent earnings call, McDonald’s announced that menu prices have increased 10% this year alone, and that’s on top of the 10% price increase reported from 2022. Short term US Treasury Bills ETFs, € Hedged or Euro Bond ETFs Hi guys, I have an account at Interactive Brokers and just noticed the interest rate on euro cash dropped from 3,5 to 2,8% today. All my cash is in euro since I am a european citizen and I don't want to convert it to $ to benefit from the 4.8% interest rate since the currency risk is too important, especially when you see the € going from 1,05 to 1,10$ in just 1 month. So I looked for a solution and I found that there is some ETF which replicates the short term US treasury bills and are Euro hedged, which means they are hedged against the currency exchange rate : [https://www.justetf.com/de/etf-profile.html?isin=LU2182388749#uebersicht](https://www.justetf.com/de/etf-profile.html?isin=LU2182388749#uebersicht) The problem is that the evolution of the value of the ETF doesn't seem completely linear judging from the graphic on just ETF website whereas it seems linear on Amundi's website : [https://www.amundietf.fr/fr/particuliers/produits/fixed-income/amundi-us-treasury-bond-01y-ucits-etf-eur-hedged-acc/lu2182388749](https://www.amundietf.fr/fr/particuliers/produits/fixed-income/amundi-us-treasury-bond-01y-ucits-etf-eur-hedged-acc/lu2182388749) Do you think these ETFs can really provide around 5% guaranteed interest rate per year on euros and can be bought and sold anytime, meaning I keep my total liquidity like leaving my cash on IBKR provides ? It seems quite odd, not saying impossible, to benefit from US treasury interest rate on € but I don't see exactly where is the catch... Or is it safer to invest on Euro bond ETFs like this one which offers a little less than 4% which is quite impressive compared to the 2.8% IBKR now offers : [https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?isin=LU0290358497#overview](https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?isin=LU0290358497#overview) Same question for this one : do you think it can offer around 4% guaranteed interest rate on euros and can be bought and sold anytime, meaning I keep my total liquidity like leaving my cash on IBKR provides ? Thank you very much from your insights, I must confess I'm quite lost with these bonds and ETFs... 🙏

First, are you sure that in your analysis you are taking dividends in consideration? While Europe has underperformed the US in the past decades - I'm not going to try to guess if it continues - a quick look at accumulating ETFs like [this one](https://www.justetf.com/en/etf-profile.html?assetClass=class-equity&groupField=none&region=Europe&sector=none&equityStrategy=none&theme=none&sortField=fundSize&sortOrder=desc&from=search&isin=LU0908500753#overview) (not a recommendation, I just searched for a big European stock ETF) shows growth. > Call me patriotic, but I want my money to support local economy You buying EU stock won't do that anyway. Your money won't go to European businesses, it will go to... well, to whoever used to own that stock before you. At *best* one might argue that you might contribute to the rise of the prices of EU stocks; but the amount of your contribution would be negligible, and that's well disconnected from "local economy" anyway. Personally, I would suggest following market caps by using VWCE or something of that sort for your stocks and call it a day. There are better avenues for your patriotism: get involved in local politics, for example, or do some volunteering or so forth - unless you have a truly ludicrous amount of money to invest (I assume you don't, or you would not be asking here), that sort of thing will have a vastly larger impact than anything you could do by choosing where to invest.

now the big boys want a taste of that X > ArcelorMittal SA (MT.LU), the world's second-largest steelmaker, is considering a potential offer for U.S. Steel Corp (X.N), people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday. > ArcelorMittal is discussing a possible offer with its investment bankers, and there is no certainty that will press ahead with it, the sources said. If it launches a bid, it could mark the escalation of a bidding war that is already underway for U.S. Steel, following offers from Cleveland-Cliffs Inc (CLF.N) and Esmark Inc for more than $7 billion. > The sources requested anonymity because the deliberations are confidential. Hello guys, I have been investing for some time now but I have rarely had to evaluate index funds since I was only buying the most popular ones, but right now I am struggling to decide which of these funds is better. If you can help me find out which index funds is better and why that is or just explain to me how to value index funds I will be very thanksful!
